For the first time in months, AMC introduced a character that showed some true promise. I know she's probably not a permanent fixture, but AMC should really consider keeping the Mayor character around. Finally someone can actually give Jessie & the Hubbards a storyline. That's what this show is missing a fiesty character like her to make things a little more interesting. I've been praying for a DA, Lawyer, Cop, Doctor or someone that could spice things up a bit. Please AMC, keep her around!!

Please AMC, keep her around!! Fiesty she may be ..but if she's responsible, honest and makes sure justice is served she won't be around Pine Valley long.As Jesse's boss, she should have made sure Annie was convicted of the cold blooded murder of her brother, killing Di and stabbing Erica, but instead the writers irresponsibly had her get away with these heinous crimes to keep her on. Greenlee and David should pay for sabotaging an airplane, a federal offense I believe, and the SEC should remove Greenlee from her position at Fusion as well as have her forfeit her shares of the business. Will we see these things happen? Will Madison pay for killing her husband? Absolutely not . Why, because the writers are crassly lacking in responsibility in their writing. And what bothers me a lot, is that fans are actually supporting Greenlee and David as a romatic pair and Annie to be with who ever the flavor of the month is with her instead of calling for their heads.People in real life get away with things sometimes too, but in PV everyone gets away with everything all the time. Except Erica and Kendall. If characters committ these things, they need to suffer the consequences of their behavior. So most certainly a character that has morals and scruples cannot exist on AMC. So no, the mayor will not be around for long. And don't get me started on Binaca. While not guilty of a civil crime, she is most certainly guilty of a moral and ethical crime for which she needs to pay and pay dearly. But instead is prancing around PV self righteous and pious. But that's another thread.IMO, these things have a lot to do with why AMC has ratings that are falling all the time. Though I've been known to be a rabble rouser at times, I have my limits I don't watch because AMC is morally bankrupt. The mayor, Opal and anyone else who do the right thing will suffer, but not the guilty in this alternate universe of PV.

I understand all of your frustrations with all of the other characters that are morally bankrupt on AMC, but I'm sick of focusing all of my energy on them. It's so obvious that the writers don't really care what the fans think. Otherwise they wouldn't have committed so many crimes of bad writing on the show. Honestly, I don't know what they are thinking.I was always a big fan of David, but the character that we are seeing now is totally reprehensible....and let's just say, the number of crimes that he is committing and getting away with, here lately, is ridiculous. It's to the point where they need to have a big natural disaster come wipe the town out and start over from scratch. But like I stated, I really hope that they keep this fiesty character around, and keep her grounded.....even though I'm sure she won't be around for that long. I can always cross my fingers and hope, can't I? LOL
