Great post!The thing they are missing is that no matter what John has gone through in his life, there were certain constants... one being that no matter what Stefano did to him he was a good man and his love for Marlena. I hope they are building towards John finding that core decency and realizing that money has never been important to him and it won't give him any kind of peace or happiness. I hope they don't just keep writing him as this emotionless robot then one day find the disk and then put his memories back. The whole disk thing is just lame.

I am loving Jawn & Blondie. They both have a new spark in life and fire in there eyes. Dee & Drake are doing wonderful, and i do think this is a love story. In fact this is the love story taking them back to the basics wher they need to go.

Unfortunately, like so frequently DAYS has done in recent years, we are essentially getting a Readers Digest version of this story. The writers need to dig much deeper into both characters. This should be an emotional storyline. One that reaches the viewers. But the writers haven't taken us there. They've spent way too much time focusing on John and his desire to take over the DiMera empire, and not nearly enough time on the emotional struggle both characters are dealing with. Yes, in the last couple weeks they touched on it, but we need to see more of that. Lots more!

This story has great potentiial and given what the writers are writing for the other characters I think J&M are getting the best the writers have to offer. I don't want John to cross the line of no return but pushing it is ok with me. I want Marlena to try to find medical and emotional ways to reach the old John but not give an inch to RoboJohn. We need to see Marlena's internal struggles her fears and sadness over losing Johnand fbs of J&M great love over the years would really complete the story.Oh, I also want Claire to stay to lighten up John.

I have to agree, I think the John and Marlena story is the best thing on Days right now. I did love the family dynamics with Belle and Claire and John and Marlena and wish we could have seen more. I always wondered why they didn't push the 'Black Family' more. The actors all have such great chemistry together.I do also have to agree though, that I would like a little more emotional depth, I think the scenes between J&M this week are getting closer and I really enjoyed them and can't wait to see what happens in their next scenes together.

I am actually starting to really like this story, IF I keep seeing small changes like I have seen during these last few episodes. That being said; I still think they need to speed things up and move this thins into Love Story Mode. But I don`t want them to be too quick about it (not that I actually fear that at this point.)
