I agree that Martha Byrne's exit will be a terrible loss to ATWT, but as we've reported, negotiations are over and another actress will take over the role. (Which I also think is a truly disastrous idea!) By the way, another post (on the other thread) theorizes that Martha's decision to leave was partially financial. We never reported that and from everything we've heard from multiple, reliable sources (as well as Martha's statement), it wasn't about money at all.

I heard Martha was leaving because she wanted more control over her storylines. Not because of money issues. I think that is pretty bold of her, but I think she is right in asking for that. ATWT has gone downhill lately. Some of the storylines are so ridiculous. Like Evan killing Dusty. Okay, anyone killing Dusty is just ridiculous, but that was a lame way to write him off. The whole Craig firing was insane, and letting Cady McClain go was stupid too! I'm not even going to begin on them letting Gwen and Will go. But hey are young actors, so I can understand them wanting to try out other things. It's just bad timing!But, on a happier note. How cute were Brad and Katie at the end of today's episode!! LOVE THEM!!

The writing for Lily has been weak since Rose died and I doubt as many of us would care about Lily if we didn't care so much about Martha. Quite honestly Lily can get on your nerves easily but many of us don't care since we love Martha. Same goes for Lily and Holden, because it is Martha and Jon that make that work. Martha seemed to be one of the biggest cheerleaders on the set and I've heard she was instrumental in helping in the past when morale got low. Jen since SOD is reporting that Martha's replacement has been hired but couldn't be named at press time since Martha had not taped her last scenes, can you tell us now that Martha has taped her last scenes or at least when we can expect to hear?Also any idea on how soon she will air?

Jen. I am still confused as to what is next for Meg? Rumors are rumors, there must be something out there as to some kind of a direction she will be going in. I can't wait to read the stuff on Jesse Sofer & Jennifer Landon in SOD. They quickly became two of my favs. If the extra stuff doesn't make the newsletter, I hope that it will at least be put on the website.

In a previous SOD, Jesse mentioned that they didn't think they would get a farewell party. I was curious if they did get one. All I hear about is Martha's farewell party and nothing at all on one for Jen & Jesse.

Jen in last week's SOD it said it was highly unlikely that Suan Haskell would be cast s Lily yet Soaps in Dpeth claimed information from an insider saying she had been made an offer for the part. Do you think it is still unlikely that she will be the new Lily?

I'm glad Van is staying. I was concerned that he'd leave... or rather the show wouldn't want him to stay. So for no matter how long he's going to be around, I'll enjoy it. Let's just hope the writers start to work on fixing the Luke/Ameera/Noah storyline and get back to the couple we fell in love with and rooted for.

I also loved the Paul/Emily scenes and I'm still hoping they'll continue with that. I don't see why they can't do a quadrangle, but they always seem to shy away from putting Paul and Em together. Right now, I think they want us to think that Emily is into Chris again.

They have always had nice things to say about each other and the people they work with. Can you please tell me if Paul and Meg will comment to each other anytime soon? Will Paul/Meg/Milke be friends. What is going to happen with Mike and Meg? Will there be a Mike/Katie/Brad storyline? That would be interesting seeing how katie reacts to seeing Mike and having he chose between Mike and Brad.

Is she ever going to be allowed to have a career? I had really hoped that she would be allowed to keep Metro but after everything that happened I'm doubting that will happen. Although I would love if she would run it and Henry take care of Katie's now investment in it. They could be such fun partners lol! I'd still love to see Carly and Barbara as partners but don't expect that to happen. Carly needs to be allowed to have a successful career! The writers could actually give her a different story for a change if they let her have a career.

Well I'm ready for Carly and Jack to start finding their way back together slowly and no more 3rd parties involved. I would like Jack to be the one this time to convince Carly it is her he truly loves and that they should give it another try. I don't need another guy involved in this at all. We already had that with Simon. They just have enough issues of their own to work out without any other parties involved.I would like to see Carly be allowed to have a successful career to add another dimension to their relationship. The story of Carly screws up, Jack gets mad and they break up is old. Their chemistry isn't old, so give them some different stories. Letting Carly have a career could open up some different story possibilities.

I think it is ashame that Jese & Jennifer didn't get a goodbye party yet Martha got one. As a Will & Gwen fan, I am not happy that Martha Bryne's exit is overshadowing Jen & Jesse's exit from the show.

Jesse and Jen actually didn't want a good-bye party. Jen specifically told me she doesn't "believe in them." In fairness to Martha, she was on the show much longer, it was a much more abrupt exit and she planned the party herself.

Isn't it rather rare they do have a goodbye party unless they plan it themselves? I know sometimes there is a cake and stuff on the set, but I thought parties were not that common. I agree that as long as Martha was on the show, it was right in this case to have one. And it sounds like a lot of people agreed since so many showed up!

Martha Byrne has been on this show for 23 years. I am a Will and Gwen fan myself and not in the slightest am I upset that she is getting more soap coverage. She is bound to be getting more givin the fact that she's been on the show longer.

As for a Good-Bye Party I think another reason they didn't have one is because Jesse specificially stated in SOD that their last scene was on remote which usually means out of the studio. You also have the fact they didn't want one.

When was Jen and Jesse's last day? (I mean like the date).

Hi I loved todays show. I am a fan of RH, MW and CZ. It was great seeing Paul at the farm with his mother, Meg and Parker. It was greating writing and great acting on everyones part. Can yiou please tell me if Paul and Meg will be getting back togather soon and how/what part of Babs being sick will part in them getting back togather. It has been over 2 years. It would be great if they got marrued and had a few children like all the other couples on the show.

Know what I totally agree. If Meg wasn't so self-righteous she would see what she has. I hope that Meg eventually softens towards Paul and Paul finally gets tired of constantly crawling on his hands and knees to her and he finds out He's had it with this self righteous witch and move on to something else or someone else if TPTB will hire someone good enough for Roger/Paul. He is the "ONLY" reason I watch this show. He brings such depth to the show. I am loving Barbara at this point. I am hoping that Paul and Babs gets closer due to her illness.
