With his behavior over the last year, Jax has earned a new nickname from Sonny. He can now finally retire "Candy Boy" & simply call him "HYPOCRITE". Jax's motto should be "do as I say, not as I do." No matter what side you're on in this storyline, Jax has a lot of nerve expecting Carly to give her son up to the police. These are the same people who never had the sense to confiscate the contents of Ian Devlin's GH locker or search his house.
Then we come to the "hypocrite" part. This is coming from the man who covered up his brother's murder of 2 innocent people, attempted murder of one of Jax's friends, & the beating & poisoning of Nikolas. Not to mention the torture of heart attack victim Alan & pregnant Liz, who was suffering cramps. To protect his brother, Jax tampered with evidence & cashed in on friendships with the victims & their sympathy toward Jax's mother in order to keep them from pressing charges against that evil sociopath.
I realize Jax is extremely naive & idealistic & thinks the cops will do everything above board. But, in Port Charles, that is rarely the case. The truth is if Carly had told the truth about what happened, the police would not believe that Michael acted to protect his mother. If they believed he was guilty at all, his history of anger issues as a result of being shot by the victim (Claudia) they would assume it was revenge.
Or, they would simply decide that Carly was covering for the real killer, Jason or Sonny. The cops in that town drag Sonny & Jason in for every crime but the ones they actually commit. Not that Jax would care, but that is the reason why the mob rules that town. Because of sloppy & narrow minded police officers.
