Wanted to introduce my self to the forum...I'm with you guys, watching the show every day, loving it now...of course I do have my favorites, but like a fair parent I try not to let them know. I'm still recovering from the Emmy Nominations....I'm so glad Brian Kerwin got one, but a few more (AT LEAST 5) would have been nice. Though the behind the scenes people got a lot of nominations and that was great, just great. So ask me stuff if you want....vent, and I'll check in on a daily basis.

I have to agree, OLTL and actually ABC in general got pretty robbed. I really love Brian Kerwin but I feel like there were other actors on the show that deserved the nominations more than he did. I think BK is fantastic but I think he has had some fabulous material this year with the Jared/Charlie stuff, last year he did not have too much and was on only for like 4 months. Kind of takes me back to when Vanessa Marcil won supporting actress for GH a few years ago. I just feel like a lot of people got severely over looked

Hi -- I've got a couple of questions if you have time:1. Will SOW be covering Forbes March's exit? I'm especially interested in interviews with Forbes or with one of TPTB about why they felt it was necessary to fire Forbes and then kill Nash.2. I don't know if this is your area or not, but I've noticed that the OLTL page at SOW/SOD's website used to include a feature of some kind every week (sometimes an inteview or a picture timeline) -- but for the past several weeks it's just been quizzes. Quizzes are fine, but I miss seeing the interviews in particular.

I'm actually waiting for Forbes to call me right now. So yes, we'll cover his exit. And all I have to say is OLTL has been terrific, don't you all think?I'll pass the word on re: the quizzes... ANy more questions?gabby

Hmmm, my post disappeared. I must have made a mistake. I look forward to reading about why my favorite actor -- Forbes March -- was fired and why my favorite character is being killed off.As far as the show, perhaps Forbes getting fired is coloring my point of view, but I find OLTL incredibly boring and I'm tired of seeing Jared every day and seeing Jared being smarter than everyone else on the canvas. I won't watch after Forbes is gone so it probably doesn't matter what I think. It obviously didn't matter too much when I wrote and asked that dear Ron reconsider killing my favorite character and replacing him with his favorite character.

Hi Gabby,Do you know if OL has plans to increase diversity like is being done on AMC. Are there any plans for Layla to finally have a story? Will RJ be returning on a regular basis? Amidst all these returns for the anniversary will they include any mention of the Halls, Greys or Gannons? We have the Vegas but they aren't considered core for reasons I don't understand. It would be nice to see a story about Carlotta and her boys like the constant stories about the other families in Llanview. And lastly is there any word on Evangeline waking up either as a recast or with Renee Goldsberry?

Hi Gabby. How does SOW feel about Jared and Natalie? Any chance for a joint Melissa and John interview? I hope Jared and Natalie make it through the stress of everyone finding out about them and about Jared's lies.

I wish I could be excited about the week of June 2nd, but I can't be, not when it means the permanent departure of my favorite OLTL character.

I agree colormist. The fact that OLTL thinks so little of us as Jash fans that they don't even bother to promote the story or give Nash a goodbye tells us a great deal about whether OLTL cares if we continue to watch.

They are the only couple on the show that hold my interest every single scene they are in. And I think David/Jared/Natalie scenes have been hysterical and so much fun.I am so glad RJ is back I really missed him. OLTL has been just fabulous lately, the BE stuff is interesting, I like Charlie and Viki, Dorian is always fun, bitchy Adriana rocks, David being back is FANTASTIC, I am loving the revisit of Nora and Lindsay's fued and Jared and Natalie just make this show for me, I am enjoying so much of it for the first time in a long time. OLTL is fabulous right now the only things I hate on this show right now are Rex/Gigi and the Teen SL

I know it will be tough with the family for a while but I think they will be ok, I love these two.

While it's always nice to see the immensely talented Timothy Stickney I am continually amazed at the lack of writing for people of color not only on OLTL but all soaps. In the case of OL they need to stop touting their history of diversity because they have long abandoned that. Will there even be a mention of the Halls and Greys for the 40th anniversary?

Hi Gabby! I think it's great that you take the time to chat with the fans. My two cents on the show....I think that the show's overall writing has greatly improved since Ron took over. The pacing is better and the stories don't leave as many dangling details. However, the problem I have is that the show is centered around these new characters rather than having the established characters driving story and allowing us to get to know the newbies through their involvement in those stories. When Jared first appeared I though he ate the show. Just when that began to die down a bit Gigi was thrust on the scene and the show quickly became Gigi's life to live. I think it's a mistake to center a show solely around any character, let alone a newbie. I remember a time when I could count on the show to tell stories for everyone. I reallly don't like watching a show and being able to clearly tell who the head writer's pet characters are. There is no mistaking that Ron is absolutely in love with Gigi and the gang. Meanwhile, characters that others love are left dangling in the wind picking up a scene or two here and there. That's not fair to the viewers and it's certainly not fair to actors who've paid their dues on the show. For example, Angel Square has practically been abandoned other than people eating at the diner where Carlotta is constantly curiously absent until trotted out for two or three lines. Her absence during the planning of Adriana's wedding was glaring to me. Can you tell us if OLTL has considered bringing on a co-headwriter or at least a consultant for Ron? It might help to find more balance for the show so that characters like Miles, Layla, Carlotta, etc don't get forgotten.

Hi Gabby,I am really upset about the departure of Forbes March, there are a few actors/actress who should be off the show, Forbes shouldn't be one of them.

I feel the balance on the show is much better these days than it has been in a long while. For 4 years I felt like I was watching John's life to live, Michael Easton has been on an overwhelming majority of the episodes year after year after year. Its was always the same 5 people on everyday now I feel there are more characters getting airtime. There is always room for improvement with balance and its not perfect but I feel right now the balance is better than its been in a while.

Hola GabbyI have been loving OLTL lately also. The stories interest me and I'm pretty much enjoying all the characters. Can't wait for Susan Haskell and Andrea Evans's returns. It's nice to be excited about a soap again

I am a big Ron fan, I have to admit. Things got a little off course when the writers were on strike, but I think it's only going to get better and better. I am asking about the diversity issue. Of course, I'm actually watching the show right now and taking a commercial break.who would you like to see return for the 40th anniversary?

I am a big Ron fan also. I think it helps when you can find a headwriter who has been with the show for a long time..they have a real feel for what the show should be all about. AMC and Gh should both take a lesson with this IMO.I am also looking forward to Susan Haskell and Andrea Evans returning..but I am also totally looking forward to Kevin Spirtas from Days being here as well. He was always one of my favorites...

I would love to see Ed and Carla Grey remembered if not actually seen returning. Karen Wolek. I'd like to see Gerald Anthony remembered. I'd like to see Evangeline wake up. I'd like Rachel to come back and maybe become an ADA under her mother. It would be nice to see Kevin (in the form of Dan Gauthier). I am very interested if you ever receive a response about diversity.
