Halloween, PASSIONS Style

On October 20, the PASSIONS cast and fans established a Guinness World Record for the Largest Halloween Gathering. Over 100 people dressed in costume and stood in place for 15 minutes at Universal CityWalk in Hollywood, CA, to be a piece of history. Heidi Mueller
“I told the wardrobe department I wanted to be a rock ‘n roll witch and they came up with this great costume,” beamed Heidi Mueller (Kay). “I love it!”

Eva Tamargo
“It’s interesting to me that they encouraged everyone to come as a witch, yet these woman [her co-stars] are very hypocritical because they are all witches in real life,” cracked Eva Tamargo (Pilar). “I didn’t do the witch costume because I’m always hot and I knew it was going to be hot here. I could not be in the long dress and boots and the whole thing. But I think everyone looks fantastic. The makeup department did a great job.” Also pictured: Hannia Guillen (Paloma, l.) and Kim Johnston Ulrich (Ivy, c.).

Amy Castle
Newcomer Amy Castle (Viki) celebrated with her co-stars.

Phillip Jeanmarie
“I think a part of me has always wanted to be a pimp and this is the closest thing I’ve come to it,” laughed Phillip Jeanmarie (Vincent). Also pictured: Chris Maleki (Spike, l.) and McKenzie Westmore (Sheridan).

Eric Martsolf
“My costume was wardrobe’s idea,” shared Eric Martsolf (Ethan). “I’m not the classic Dracula in the sense that I don’t have [vampire] teeth on and I don’t have a black coat on. But given that it’s strangely 90 degrees in L.A. at this time of year … I went with seven layers [of clothes] instead of eight so I wouldn’t pass out.”

Marianne Muellerleile
Marianne Muellerleile (Norma) dressed as a princess — quiet the opposite of her ax-wielding character on the soap!

Juliet Mills
“In England, we don’t celebrate Halloween very much,” explained Juliet Mills (Tabitha). “But my daughter [Melissa Caulfield] has always loved Halloween more than any other.” Has Melissa ever dressed as a witch? “Yes, funny enough. We always celebrate it in a big way. We’ve had a couple of really great Halloween parties at the house that Melissa has organized. It takes us a year to get over them because she does blood all over the bathrooms and hand prints in the shower and ‘Help!’ written in blood on the front door. There are coffins and spiders all around. It’s great fun.”

Streamers were released among the crowd once the 15 minutes were up!

Viewers got in the spirit to support the show.
