I think she lied because when Rex said they weren't serious or anything she felt stupid...Shane will be upset but maybe not since he likes Rex so much. I think they had to write the storyline this way or wouldn't it make Rex look bad if he had a kid with someone and just left. I like Gigi she is refreshing from the boring Adrianna or I should say the witch Adrianna

I think that Gigi will have to earn some people's trust again in Llanview when the truth comes out. But for the most part, everyone likes her. So I'm sure it won't take long for everyone to forgive and forget. Gigi's such a refreshing face to the show. I haven't been a long time viewer, but really, Gigi/Rex/Shane scenes and Vicki and Charlie scenes are all that's really keeping me interested right now.

I like Gigi, but she is getting too much airtime and I'm starting to resent it. This is not Gigi's Life To Live.

Gigi's a new character, so they're just trying to get her storyline started. They were really slow about it in the beginning. I'm actually loving all of the onscreen time Gigi's receiving!

I think its a shame that Shane didn't even get a birthday cake. Another one of Gigi's lies hurting that little boy. When will she ever put him first?

I think Gigi is trying not to get in between Rex and Adrianna and that is why she hasn't said anything. I think the initial lie was because she was embarrassed that Rex just up and left her so she wanted Shane to think his father was a hero not a guy who slept with her and skipped town. I mean Gigi isn't the only one lying around Llanview, think Charlie, Roxie.

Being a mother myself, I don't agree with Gigi's decisions she's made concerning Shane. But I do understand why she's doing it. She doesn't want to get in the way of Rex's happiness with Adriana. She also doesn't want Shane to be disappointed about his father not being who he's believed it to be all these years. It'll probably turn out that Shane asked where his father was when he began going to school and noticed that other kids had fathers. Gigi didn't want to tell him that his father left them a long time ago. She probably briefly dated Brody, or was great friends with him before he left for the Navy. Gigi made the decision to make up this great story that Shane could go to school to tell his friends about his father being a heroic Navy Seal who died in combat. She never imagined that she'd come face to face with Rex or even Brody again. I think this is going to turn out to be a great storyline with a lesson to be learned for Gigi. So I'm actually looking forward to how this is going to be played out. I hope it's something like I imagine..haha!!!(Sorry for the novel of a post)

I agree she had no idea that she would ever see Rex again since he skipped out of town and left her. I think she is trying to do the right thing and that by telling Shane the truth now he would be heart broken. She did a bad thing but never knew it would come back to bite her in the butt.

I understand why she feels she has to lie about Shane's paternity, but not about putting it all on Shane's shoulders.

With the new job, and Gigi living in that big mansion, I'd definately throw Shane the birthday he's never had if I were here. After all, she's not really sure how long she'll be living in the lap of luxary... haha!!!
