GH’s Kirsten Storms Gets Candid

In the new issue of Soap Opera Digest, Kirsten Storms (Maxie) gets candid about the real-life struggle with depression that prompted her months-long personal leave from the show — and what it means to her to be back in action. “You don’t know when you’re in the middle of having, like, a breakdown, that you’re having a breakdown,” the actress says. “Now, being on the other side of it, it’s crazy for me to think about that time period of my life…. I feel thankful to work for giving me time to be able to [seek treatment], and I’m proud of myself for coming back like they wanted me to.” For the full scoop from Storms, be sure to check out the new issue, on sale now.
