Happy Labor Day! Recaps will return tomorrow.

Tuesday

Patrick surprised Robin with his comment that he has regrets about the life he was living as a surgeon versus his past as a race car driver. He explained that being behind the wheel of a race car was an incomparable experience, but it all changed when his mom died. Patrick said he felt he needed to step up and salvage his family's reputation by becoming a doctor to offset the damage caused by Noah's drinking. He admitted recent experiences had given him a newfound respect for his father and caused him to reevaluate his own life. "If you could wave your magic wand, would you go back and do it differently?" Robin asked. "I hate hypotheticals," Patrick moaned. Robin pushed to find out what attracted him to racing. Patrick responded it was the feeling of total freedom, but told Robin he wouldn't have his life any differently because then he never would have met her.

Jax and Carly continued their spat. Jax insisted on having their conversation through the door, but Carly opened it so the boys wouldn't hear them. He pleaded with Carly to hash out their differences, but Carly said she didn't want to fight because that's all she did with Sonny. He expressed his worry about losing her. They stopped their argument to deal with Morgan's tantrum. Carly thanked Jax for helping her quiet him down. Jax said how much he wants this family together. Carly asked Jax how can she trust him not to go MIA again. Jax insisted he wouldn't. Carly and Jax continued to bicker, first about Sonny and then about him sleeping with Irina. Carly accused Jax of making their marriage a contest. Jax conceded that he understood she's having a trust problem. He told Carly he loves her more than anything and declared that he's committed to her and the boys. Carly tearfully hugged him. The two kissed while they embraced, and Carly told Jax she loved him.

Elizabeth and Lucky struggled to get past their past. Liz told him how tired she is of having the same fight. "This constant bitterness is eventually going to hurt our children," she cautioned, threatening to leave if they can't turn things around between them. She admitted she knows how deeply she's hurt him by withholding the truth, and apologized. Elizabeth pointed out that Lucky said he wanted to work things out, but ever since then he's been punishing her instead, especially by standing back and allowing Sam to hit on him left and right. Lucky asked Elizabeth if he slept with Sam, would she simply use that as an excuse to go sleep with Jason again? He called her on her insistence of running to Jason all the time, and asked why that's changed. Elizabeth explained what happened in the park with the armed men. Lucky concluded that he's her second choice, since she can't have Jason.

Sonny asked Kate to admit her true feelings. Kate told Sonny he had no right to judge her past with Trevor. Sonny declared that her "past" with him is really the present, and asked her where that leaves him. Kate insisted that she and Trevor ended the romantic part of their relationship years ago and they're just friends now. Sonny questioned if Kate has a choice or not over what Trevor wants. Kate admitted that Trevor helped her out a lot when she started in life, but the rest she earned through her own hard work. She insisted she had no intention of rekindling anything with him. Kate then asked how any of that is Sonny's business. Sonny warned that Anthony Zacchara is one of the most dangerous mafia dons, and so Trevor's relationship with Zacchara puts her in danger as well. Kate said Trevor denied any association to Zacchara. Sonny asked Kate point blank: "Who do you believe — him or me?" Kate told Sonny she's known Trevor for 10 years but hasn't known Sonny much since they dated briefly in school. Nevertheless, she admitted to Sonny that she believes him, but accused him of being upset about Trevor not because of Zacchara but because she and Trevor were once lovers. Their debate swiftly turned into flirtation, and Sonny and Kate began making out.

Over a romantic candlelight dinner, Nikolas suggested to Emily that they should contemplate their future together. Emily said she didn't want to rush into any plans for the wrong reasons. She said she wants them to take their time. "I'm not in a hurry to get to the future, because I've learned there's no such thing as happily ever after," she maintained.

Georgie paid Spinelli a visit and asked him for technical help. Spinelli said he's better with digital than analog equipment but would do his best. Georgie psychoanalyzed Lulu and told Spinelli that Logan is a jerk and a user and Lulu is in for nothing but heartache. She reassured Spinelli that his venting to Jason about what Logan did won't cost Logan his life, and won't cost Spinelli his friendship with Lulu. Georgie reasoned that Lulu would never end her friendship with Spinelli, and told him that Lulu wouldn't be over it by the time she returned from her cruise. Then Georgie asked Spinelli if he ratted on Logan because he was truly concerned for Lulu, or because he was jealous. Spinelli admitted his motives were mixed. He went on and on about Lulu, oblivious to Georgie's apparent interest in him. She finally left abruptly, and he wondered if he had said anything to offend her.

Wednesday

Nikolas asked Emily to meet at his new office space — in Metro Court — to offer decorating tips. Later, Nik ran into Jerry at Metro Court and physically scuffled with him. Jerry warned Nik to curb his temper for the good of his family. Still later, Nik complained to Jax after discovering that his office space was given to someone else. He claimed it was because of the altercation with Jerry, but Jax said somebody from Nik's office called to cancel. Nik discovered that Alfred had canceled the lease!

At Kelly's, Logan warned Maxie not to tell Coop they slept together — just as Coop appeared. Coop and Maxie quarreled while Logan was getting orders from Bernie to babysit Sonny's kids. Then Ric called Logan, demanding to meet in the alley out back. Elsewhere, Jason arrived home and left a message for Emily about Sam and Lucky before telling Spinelli that Logan is alive and still working for Sonny. Jason demanded Spinelli find info on Anthony Zacchara. Meanwhile, Leticia took Carly's kids shopping. Spinelli could not verify if Zacchara is coming to town. Jason suspected Trevor is using Ric and Kate as an excuse to clear a path for Zacchara. Back at Kelly's, Georgie forced Maxie to reveal she slept with Logan. Then Spinelli arrived, looking to apologize to Logan. Logan, meanwhile, was getting an earful from Ric, who demanded to know when and where Sonny is moving against Zacchara and what he knows about Trevor. Later, Jason escorted Leticia and the kids back home to Carly's because the bodyguard — Logan — didn't show up at the mall. She scoffed at his overprotectiveness. As Georgie fed Spinelli waffles, he explained he has to apologize to appease Lulu. Georgie suggested "the Unworthy One" is more unworthy than he suspects. Out back, Logan called Maxie a "lying slut" and tried to end things with her, but Maxie hinted she would tell Lulu about bedding him. He warned her she would regret blabbing. Max and Milo suddenly appeared and dragged Logan away. Spinelli pondered learning to shoot a gun and becoming more like Jason. Georgie said Jason leads a sad and violent life. She sang Spinelli's praises as they shared his waffle and giggled.

Trevor burst into Sonny's house (just like everyone else does) and warned him to back off or he'll have Ric file charges. Kate tried to make peace, but Trevor ordered her to choose between him and Sonny. When she balked he walked out on her. Then, at Metro Court, Trevor met with Jerry, who demanded to meet Zacchara in person. Back at Sonny's, Kate confessed to a "grown-up" relationship with "mentor" Trevor back when she was beginning her career. Sonny told her to always remember she's Connie Falconeri and that Trevor is "cold-hearted," so she should end their relationship. She wanted to "remain courteous but neutral," however Sonny warned, "You could die." Jason called Sonny to report his kids were left without a bodyguard this afternoon. Sonny flipped and smashed his phone. Later, at Metro Court, Kate asked Trevor why he tried to blackmail her. He said she has to live with the consequences of her choice. Ric visited Sonny to ask what's worse: Trevor dating Kate, or Zacchara coming to town? Sonny reminded Ric that Zacchara might target Ric since he attacks the families of rivals. Speaking of family, Jax overheard Jerry say he looks forward to meeting Zacchara in person. Jason filled in Carly on Zacchara's penchant for executing the families of rivals. Logan was brought before a furious Sonny, who considered capping him for leaving his kids alone. Ric returned home to find Trevor playing with Molly.

Thursday

Jax told Jerry he heard him talking about Zacchara, and doesn't trust him.
Jerry insisted Jax needs him. Carly asked Jason if she has to move her kids
away to keep them safe from Zacchara. Jason said they'd be safe under guard.
Later, Carly instructed the boys not to ditch their bodyguards. Logan
appeared at the door and asked forgiveness for leaving the boys exposed. A furious Carly warned him she doesn't trust him and Jason doesn't like him. Later, Jax brought Carly flowers. When she told him about Zacchara's threat he was furious and suggested fleeing. Carly said they have to decide what to do together.

At Kelly's, Sam welcomed Alexis back from France by telling her Trevor is in
town. At that moment, the elder Lansing was holding Molly and vowing to
spend more time with her. Sally took Molly to bed, and Ric warned his father
away. Trevor warned "Richard" he could lose that little girl. Trevor was
willing to tap powerful friends for help getting Molly away from her unfit
mother and father by playing the responsible grandfather seeking "emergency guardianship." That is, unless Ric makes sure Sonny cannot do business in Port Charles anymore. Sam also told Alexis about Zacchara coming to town. Later, The Jackal arrived at Kelly's with chocolates for Georgie and a Web address to research a trip to Europe. Georgie suggested he enroll in the program and asked why he quit school. Spinelli said he quit school to flee for his life and then got involved with Jason. Georgie pointed out he can't
be a tech guy for the mob forever and said he's cool. He called her an "old
soul" in a "comely body." Then Maxie interrupted. Jerry ran into Sam and
traded insults at Metro Court. Alexis went to Jason, who told her Molly
should be safe since Trevor is her grandfather. When Trevor entered the
lobby Sam introduced herself as Molly's half-sister. Trevor pointed out
they're "not quite" family. Meanwhile, Ric asked Diane to represent him in
any custody case against his father, but she declined. Maxie insisted Logan
hit on her. Then Logan burst in and manhandled her, warning her to shut up
about him. Georgie intervened and threatened to call Jason to take out
Logan. Elsewhere, Trevor recognized Sam from Jason's trial and asked if
Jason is as dangerous as advertised. Alexis went to Ric's place, where he
was telling Molly he'd do anything to keep her safe. Alexis immediately sent
Molly away with Sally so she could scream at Ric for not mentioning Trevor.
He screamed that she should check her messages; when she did she heard him
suggest that Molly go to live with her mother. Later, Trevor arrived at the
penthouse, where Spinelli tried to send him away but Jason met with him.
Trevor said he represented "a third party interested in doing business" with
Jason.

Alfred told Nikolas he canceled the lease because he figured Nik wouldn't
want to spend time away from Spencer. Lucky arrived and asked his brother's
opinion: Does he still have a chance with Elizabeth? Nik said they both made
mistakes, but he holds out hope and will support any decision. Meanwhile,
at GH, Liz and Emily wondered where the summer has gone. Em suggested a day
at the beach with their families. Liz noted that she and Lucky had agreed to
stop hurting each other. When Liz arrived home she was surprised to find
Lucky there. He suggested a swim party in the yard. Back on Spoon Island,
Emily visited Nik. Meanwhile, Sam arrived at chez Spencer to find Lucky in
his swim trunks. She told him Zacchara makes it too dangerous for him to be
her bodyguard. Lucky told Sam she deserves to be safe. Liz overheard.

Friday

Elizabeth watched as Lucky practically begged to be Sam's bodyguard. "Get
your hands off my husband and get out of my house," Liz snarled. Sam said
she won't hire Lucky — for the sake of his family. "Don't tell me you
bought any of that," Liz told Lucky, accusing Sam of throwing herself at
him. Lucky defended Sam. They both agreed they enjoyed forgetting their
problems in the pool. At Metro Court, Emily prodded Nikolas to tell her about
his business while he looked over a proposal for new office space. After
touring the unit, Emily was approached by Sam, who wanted to know if she
blames Sam for breaking up with her brother. Emily harbored no ill will
toward Nik's cousin. Nik asked Lucky to meet to discuss the office. Later,
Emily went to Liz's for dinner and shared her concerns over Nik's mysterious behavior. Liz vented about Sam. Em warned her that fighting would play right into Sam's hands. At that moment, Sam ran into Lucky at Metro Court and poured on the "poor me" act pretty thick. Liz confessed to Emily that she and Lucky are on the road to reconciliation, but not there yet. Lucky
suddenly returned, wondering why Nik never showed. At that moment, Nik
pulled his car to the side of a road and watched nervously as a police car
passed. At GH, Leyla and Patrick flirted shamelessly.

At the penthouse, Trevor asked Jason to meet with his "client," but the hit
man refused. When Georgie arrived Spinelli ushered her away. Spinelli
confessed he feels like a weirdo, but Georgie said he's just different.
Trevor chided Jason for not being a loner, pointing out the teens are a
weakness. Jason threw him out anyway. In his study, Sonny chewed out Bernie
for trusting Logan with the safety of the kids. Kate interrupted to protest
Sonny's guards tailing her; Sonny advised her to go back to New York or get used to his men. Meanwhile, Jax insisted the family move into Metro
Court, where the security is better. Later, at Metro Court, Jerry told Jax
and Carly that they need protection from Zacchara. Jax chased down Jerry and
heard him set up a meet with Zacchara. When Jerry refused to take him along,
Jax punched his brother out. Jason and Sonny were discussing strategy when
Max called with word of Carly's move to Metro Court. At that moment, Jax was
telling Carly he has a meeting with Zacchara. She begged him not to go.
Later, Sonny and Jason insisted Carly and the boys move into his house. Carly
balked, insisting that Jax will protect them. When Carly told Jason about
Jax meeting Zacchara, he flipped. Meanwhile, Sonny brought the boys to his
house. Kate slipped in the back door and invited herself to dinner. She
suggested his love for Carly isn't over. He accused her of being jealous.
"Should I be?" she asked.

Alexis wondered why Ric wants her to have custody of Molly. He admitted he's
concerned about Trevor's threat to seize Molly. Later, Trevor met with Alexis and they traded barbs. Trevor even trash-talked his son. Alexis
promised he could never get custody of Molly, but Trevor was confident.
She wondered if Ric was lying about Trevor's threat. Outside Kelly's,
Trevor called "Anthony" to report he'd "taken the first step."

When Jason brought Carly home he became spooked and drew his weapon. Inside, Carly found Leticia on the floor. Dead. When Jax got word that Jerry had disappeared from the hotel he rushed toward his car — and was shot!
