General Hospital Recaps
GH Week of October 4, 2010
Monday
At the penthouse, Sam told Jason they should break up. Jason assured her that Brenda's presence would not affect their relationship at all. Sam admitted to being insecure but Jason just smiled and they kissed.
Brenda went to Sonny's and told him that while she may be in Port Charles, she had no plans to see him — ever. Sonny replied that he knew her too well to believe her. Sonny asked, "Maybe we can try again." They discussed their tumultuous past and the connection they still share. Sonny said they can't resist the pull between them. Just then, Diane entered. Sonny ordered Diane out but Brenda insisted she was the one leaving. Sonny got his way and Diane left. Sonny then told Brenda that they could find a way to be in each other's lives without hurting on another, but she didn't share his opinion. They came close to a kiss.
In Ireland, Dante informed the Lulu that the man she just knocked out was an Interpol agent. Lulu stated she thought he was one of The Balkan's men. Agent Bates was not a happy camper when he woke up. He then pulled rank and forced the duo to return to the U.S. so they wouldn't blow Lucky's cover. On the plane, Lulu huffed that she didn't want to return to reality. As Lulu flipped through fashion magazines, Dante silently recognized Brenda's photo.
In the woods, Lisa unraveled as she held on a gun on Patrick and Robin, then turned it on herself. Patrick tried talking Lisa down and grabbed the gun from her. Mac showed up with the police and Lisa was arrested. Robin was rushed to the hospital and Mac had Lisa placed on suicide watch and sent her to Shadybrook. In the squad car, Lisa swore to Patrick that she never tried to hurt Emma. At G.H., Robin told Maya what happened to her. Happily, Robin's test results were good. She suffered from dehydration but Robin was going to be fine. Patrick arrived to visit her. Robin was relieved that their ordeal with Lisa was finally over. Robin recounted her experience in the well to Patrick and mentioned her encounter with Stone. Robin then admitted that she still loved Patrick — but wasn't sure if she could stay in their marriage.
Molly went to Michael at the loft and informed him that Sonny was dating Claire. Michael was dumfounded. Molly then pressed for details about Brenda, and wondered if Sonny wanted Brenda back. Later, Kristina's friend, Ali, bumped into Michael at Kelly's. Michael got testy when the subject of jail came up. After Michael snapped, he apologized and splurged for ice cream. Ali admitted that she asked Kristina to set them up. Michael was stunned. Ali then asked Michael to her party. Michael was surprised but said he'd attend.
At the courthouse, a returning Claire bumped into Alexis. Alexis wondered who Claire had gone away with. Claire made no secret that her companion was Sonny. Alexis asked if Sonny took her to the island and gave her a dress. Claire said yes but stressed that she refused the dress. Alexis warned Claire that, "Sonny doesn't want to be saved." Claire said that was not what she was doing with Corinthos. Alexis wished Claire luck and left.
Michael went to the penthouse to see Jason, just as Jason and Sam were getting intimate. Sam went upstairs and Michael told Jason that he needed a favor. Michael said he was too messed up to be with a sweet girl like Ali for his first time. He said he needed someone who knew what she was doing and asked Jason to find him a woman who could help him with his situation (read: hooker).
Tuesday
In her hospital room, Patrick told Robin that he did not want to end their
marriage. He promised Robin that he'd never stray again but she didn't
believe him. Patrick vowed to do whatever it took to win her back. Robin
told Patrick that she and Emma would continue to stay with Mac. Patrick
accepted Robin's wishes and assured his wife that he still loved her.
Patrick ran into Matt and told him that Robin wants to divorce him.
Meanwhile, Mac went to talk to Robin. He supported her decision to divorce.
Sam overheard Michael ask Jason to procure him an escort so he could lose
his virginity to someone with experience. Jason told Michael that he didn't
think that was the answer. Sam interrupted and asked to talk to Jason.
Michael left and Jason advised him not to do anything. Afterward, Sam told
Jason she overheard and had an idea. Considering Ali's point of view, Sam
suggested honoring Michael's request. Later, Sam called Michael and said she
had a friend who could help them out. Shortly after, Sam's friend Candy
showed up. Sam left the two of them alone. Candy, whose real name was Abby,
wanted to talk. Michael was very nervous and told Abby that he didn't want
to be touched. They talked for a while, and Abby took Michael's hand.
Eventually, Abby got him to slow dance and they kissed. When Abby tried to
remove his shirt, Michael pushed her onto the bed and screamed, "Get off
me!"
On the plane, Dante had a strange reaction to seeing a photograph of Brenda.
Lulu quizzed Dante about his knowledge of The Balkan. During the flight,
Dante fell asleep and had a nightmare in which Brenda screamed. He awoke
with a jolt.
At Casa de Corinthos, Sonny and Brenda nearly kissed but she backed away.
"Leaving is not going to change how you feel," Sonny warned. Brenda refused
to give into old feelings and exited. Claire entered afterward and noticed
the champagne. Sonny told Claire he had something to tell her. He mentioned
Brenda was back and said it wouldn't be fair to go on dating Claire. Sonny
started to tell her about meeting Brenda in Rome; Claire countered that he
was incriminating himself. Sonny told Claire that he still had feelings for
Brenda and wanted to be honest with her. Claire stated that she appreciated
his honesty. Sonny said he didn't want to give Claire up but she put on a
brave face, said they had fun, and left.
Brenda went to Jason and begged him to keep Sonny away from her. At Sonny's
restaurant, Max and Milo discussed Brenda's impact on Sonny's life. Just
then, Suzanne stormed in and demanded to see Jason. Max called Jason and
asked him to come to the restaurant. Jason arrived and Suzanne reported that
Brenda's residences in Rome had been broken into and she feared The Balkan
might follow her to Port Charles. "That's exactly what I want," Jason
replied. As they discussed Brenda, Sam entered. Jason introduced them and
Sam asked Suzanne why she wasn't taking care of Brenda by herself.
Claire went to her office and started to cry.... Sonny paced his home,
alone.... Brenda thought about making a call, but didn't.... Claire made a
call — to get back onto the team investigating Sonny.
Wednesday
On their return flight from Ireland, Lulu quizzed Dante about The Balkan but he artfully dodged her questions. They arrived back at the loft, where Maxie
ambushed them and told Lulu they needed to focus on work. Dante went to get
take out and Maxie said their new mission was to land Brenda for the cover
of Crimson.
Nikolas and Brook Lynn returned from their European excursion. They headed
to Jake's for a drink and Nik told Brook she did great as his escort and
asked her to accompany him to more events. Brook laughed and said she didn't
want to be a professional escort. Across the bar, Olivia and Steven had a
few beers and told each other their troubles. As Olivia flirted, Kate
scowled from afar. Eventually, Kate walked over to the table and warned
Steven that her cousin had a lot of miles on her. The girls got into a
shoving match and Steven had to get in between them. When the gals got
rougher, Dante entered and jumped into the fray. Coleman pulled Kate away
and Olivia chastised her son for leaving the country without telling her.
Olivia then apologized to Steven. Brook got up to sing, just as Olivia and
Kate started to go at it again. Brook purposely serenaded Coleman and
Steven, which silenced the bickering cousins. Nikolas was captivated by her
performance.
When Abby (a.k.a. Candy) got close to Michael, he pushed her onto the bed
and told her to keep away. Michael apologized and Abby was sympathetic. She
offered to try again and take things really slow. Michael tried but he
couldn't go through with it. Michael offered to pay her the full amount but
Abby refused. She told Michael that if he ever wants to try again, Sam knew
where to find her and left. Michael got teary and collapsed on the bed.
At G.H., Mac counseled Robin about how marriages can sometimes fail, despite
the best of intentions. Robin questioned what her best option was. At the
hub, Patrick vented about his situation to Matt. Patrick said he wanted to
turn back the clock but he could not. Matt advised his brother to take a
step back and breathe, and warned him not to smother Robin. Patrick bumped
into Mac, who told Patrick a clean quick break would be best for everyone.
At Sonny's office, Suzanne told Sam that The Balkan was dangerous and Brenda
shouldn't have to die because Sam didn't want to share her boyfriend.
Suzanne offered a strong argument as to how important Brenda was to the
world's oppressed children. Jason vowed he wouldn't let Brenda die. Just
then, Sam got a call from Abby about Michael. Sam told Jason she'd take care
of it and left. Jason opened up to Suzanne about some of Michael's troubles.
Suzanne was sympathetic and offered Jason some sage advice.
Sam went to see Michael, who said Abby was sweet but he felt like he blew
it. “You couldn't possibly understand,” Michael sighed to Sam before
leaving.
Suzanne went back into the restaurant. Milo poured Suzanne some more wine
and as she flirted with Max, Diane entered. The women argued about Brenda,
Sonny and principles.
Michael was waiting outside the penthouse for Jason and told him the plan
was a fiasco. Michael was very upset. Jason said Michael could tell him
anything. Michael opened up and said when Abby touched him, he felt like he
was back in prison. Jason assured Michael that he'd get through this, and
that Jason would always be there for him.
Thursday
In Ireland, a jailed "Ronan" received a visit from a priest — it was Luke in disguise! Luke tried to get Lucky to divulge what he was up to but Lucky
didn't want to involve his father. Luke was determined to help his
imprisoned son, whether Lucky wanted his assistance or not. The men mock
argued and Luke asked the guard to allow him to take the sinner to a chapel
down the road to pray. Lucky told the guard to kick the priest out. Luke
managed to get a few minutes alone with his son and set up a meeting place
after Lucky got released. Just then, the guard returned and stated that
there was a mix up and Ronan was free to go. "It's a miracle," Father Luke
declared. The Spencer men returned to Ronan's room and Lucky filled Luke in
about his mission with Interpol. Lucky was thankful for Luke's concern but
told his father he could take care of himself. Just then, the authorities
showed up — for Luke!
At the restaurant, Dante told Sonny that the car bomb case was still active
and that "dad" was the chief suspect. Sonny advised Dante to leave things
alone and stop stirring up trouble. Sonny pointed out that peace doesn't
always happen and Dante should leave well enough alone.
At G.H., Robin packed to leave when Brenda showed up. The girls screamed and
hugged one another. Brenda wanted to know what was going on In Robin's life.
Robin spilled about Patrick's affair and Lisa's manipulations. She then
shared her experience trapped in the well with Stone. Brenda was touched.
"There's no one like your first love — ever," Brenda smiled. Robin was
confused about what to do next with her marriage, stating that she was
hesitant about taking Patrick back. Robin asked to change the subject and
Brenda revealed her troubles in Rome but assured Robin that Jason would
protect her. Robin wanted to know if she saw Sonny. Brenda filled in Robin
about seeing Sonny in Italy. Robin suggested maybe the time is right now for
Sonny and Brenda.
At The Haunted Star, Tracy was pleased that business was good and she tried
to discourage Ethan from working for Johnny. Ethan tried to get Tracy to
consider taking Luke back but she'd have none of it. Just then, Johnny
showed up, which irked Tracy. Later, Maya stopped by and Ethan returned the
bracelet she "dropped" at Jake's. Maya questioned how Ethan knew it was hers
and he asked if she wanted to play cards. Ethan got the high hand and
collected a kiss. Maya said she had to return to the hospital and accused
Ethan of stealing her bracelet in order to get her to come by. Ethan denied
the charge but when Maya left the ship, Ethan revealed he'd taken the
bracelet yet again.
At Metro Court, Maxie showed Jax mock ups of a Crimson cover, just as Carly
entered. Jax told Maxie that he doesn't want Brenda on the cover. Carly
concurred with the idea. Jax then went to Sonny's restaurant and warned
Corinthos to stay away from Brenda. Sonny countered by advising Jax to take
care of his wife. Meanwhile, Carly went to see Michael and he told her about
the party invite. She was happy but Michael insisted he couldn't attend.
Carly encouraged Michael not to shut down and to face his problems head on.
Brenda returned to the penthouse and was surprised to see Suzanne. Suzanne
told Brenda that her residences in Rome had been trashed. Brenda thanked
Suzanne for persuading her to return to P.C. where she was safe. Brenda then
said she had to see a friend and left.... Robin went by Sonny's and he knew
she'd seen Brenda. Robin told Sonny this was a second chance. "Don't assume
you'll have another one," she warned.... Brenda went to see Jax, whose eyes
sparkled when he saw her.
Friday
Jax was stunned when Brenda showed up in his office. After a few awkward
moments, they embraced, just as Carly burst in. "What are you dong here?"
Carly tersely asked. Brenda explained that Jason convinced her to come to
Port Charles for her own protection. Carly stalked out, leaving Brenda and
Jax to catch up. She claimed to love her life in Rome, but Jax worried that
she would get sucked back into her past in Port Charles. Brenda insisted she
wasn't going to stick around long enough for that.
Luke insisted to the Irish police that he was indeed a priest, then asked
for "Ronan" to back up the claim. However, Ronan told the Irish
police, "I've never seen him here before today," and Luke was arrested.
After he was led away, Lucky called Tracy and told her that his dad had been
busted in Ireland but she feigned disinterest.
At the penthouse, Carly angrily confronted Jason for bringing Brenda back to
town. He defended that it was the only way to keep her alive. Jason assured
that once Brenda's problems were resolved, she'd go back to Italy but Carly
feared Jax and Brenda would fall back in love.
Maxie encountered Spinelli, who was loaded with grocery purchases for
Brenda. Maxie realized he was smitten with Brenda and he admitted that there
wasn't a chance that such a goddess would fall for him. After he rushed off,
a jealous Maxie ripped up Brenda's cover art.
At Casa de Corinthos, Robin realized that Sonny was really impacted by
seeing Brenda again. Sonny did think that maybe he and Brenda had a shot at
a future together, that is if they were both not afraid to take that chance.
Robin pushed him to follow his heart by going after his ex. Meanwhile,
Brenda told Suzanne that she couldn't ignore her feelings for Sonny any
longer and decided to tell him how she really feels. After she headed out,
Suzanne tipped off Jason that Brenda was on her way to declare her love for
Sonny. Suzanne mentioned that Brenda had a shoot in Europe next week but
Jason said she was still in too much danger to back there.
Dante confided in Lulu how the car bomb that nearly blew Kristina to bits
may have been planted by Sonny. However, Dante worried that pursuing Sonny
would ultimately hurt Michael. Lulu told her boyfriend to work on the case
honestly because that will teach Michael about consequences. Dante agreed
and after he left, Tracy showed up and told Lulu where her dad was. Lulu
shrugged for Tracy to take care of the situation but Tracy grumbled that she
didn't care. An unconvinced Lulu told Tracy to go to Ireland and help Luke
since that's what she really wants to do anyway.
Lucky visited Luke in his jail cell and revealed that he called Tracy. Luke wondered when she'd ride to the rescue, but Lucky said he didn't think she was coming. Still, Luke hoped Tracy would come through. Lucky said that Siobhan felt betrayed and he needed to soften her up. Luke advised his son to romance the gal. Lucky returned to Siobhan, who was still peeved at him. He apologized for lying to her. "I was trying to protect you," Lucky explained, but that didn't appease Siobhan. He then admitted that he genuinely liked her and surprised her with a passionate kiss.
Carly returned to Jax's office and ordered him never to see Brenda again. Meanwhile, Brenda showed up at Sonny's office and was surprised to find Dante there. They seemed happy to see each until Sonny showed up and introduced Dante as his son.
