Monday
As Sam checked out Pentonville on the Internet, Spinelli arrived, stating that his injury was recovering nicely. Sam then broke the news that Jasonwas going to prison. Spinelli feared that if Jason went in, he'd never make it out alive.
At Carly's house, Jason announced that he'd surrender himself to the authorities tomorrow at 3 p.m. Carly was upset, yet grateful, for what Jason was doing for Michael. Jason asked Carly not to launch any crazy schemes in his absence, because he wouldn't be around to bail her out. Carly reiterated that she planned on making Dante and Lulu pay.
In prison, Michael read a letter from Kristina as Carter approached his cell. Carter advised Michael to keep his head down and maintain a low profile. Michael thanked the inmate for his words.
Dante interrupted Jax and Sonny's argument about adopting Morgan. Jax offered to adopt Dante, as well. Dante barked at the men to put their differences aside in order to work together to get Michael out of Pentonville.
At The Haunted Star, Luke warned Lulu that Dante may end up being a lot like Sonny. Lulu scoffed at the notion and reminded Luke that he and Laura were once pariahs in Port Charles, too.
Jason returned to the penthouse, where Spinelli tried in vain to talk Jason out of his decision. Jason assured his sidekick that everything would be okay. Sam ran downstairs with a bag packed and dragged Jason out. They jumped on Jason's motorcycle, drove off and arrived at a cabin that Sam had rented via the Internet. Once inside, Jason pulled Sam into his arms and they kissed. Jason thanked Sam for being so understanding and gave her a belated birthday gift. It was a compass necklace, to show that he'd find his way back to her. Jason placed it around Sam's neck and they pledged their love. Sam said she wanted to give him something, too, and took off her shirt. Sam broke down sobbing in his arms, then they kissed again. Jason took Sam's hand and led her upstairs.
Ronnie showed up at Dante's loft with pizza and beer to celebrate Jason going to prison. Ronnie pointed out that Sonny's business will suffer with Jason gone. When Dante wasn't enthusiastic, Ronnie wondered if Dante was covering for Sonny. Dante asked Ronnie to leave. Just then, Lulu arrived.
Sonny showed up at Carly's house, furious at her adoption plans with Morgan and Jax. Carly pointed out that Sonny's track record as a father wasn't very strong — and that's putting it mildly! Carly listed all of Sonny's mistakes and called him selfish. Sonny retorted that she should look in the mirror. "Your husband will never adopt my son!" Sonny insisted. "Too late!" Carly shouted back. Just then, Morgan ran in and begged his parents to stop fighting. Faced with a sobbing Morgan, Sonny gave in and said that even though he loves his son, Morgan is better off with Jax. Sonny tried to leave but Morgan grabbed him and begged him not to go. Sonny hugged the boy, then left.
Luke asked Lucky about Dante. Lucky said he believes Dante is a good man and he can understand why Lulu would stand by him. Luke was still concerned. When the subject turned to Elizabeth, Lucky assured his father that he was over her and that his self-destructive attitude had dissipated. Meanwhile, Elizabeth went to Wyndemere, where Nikolas apologized for his boorish behavior earlier, but insisted he would be a devoted father to their baby. Liz admitted she wasn't comfortable with her baby being raised a Cassadine and expressed her fears about Helena. Nik countered that Liz didn't want Nikolas standing between her and Lucky, and he ominously promised Liz that he was not going anywhere.
Tuesday
Sonny visited Michael in prison and told his son he was getting him protection -- Jason. Michael was upset that Jason was sacrificing his freedom for him. Sonny explained that it was only temporary and he was calling in all of his favors to bring Michael home. He urged his son to hang in there. Michael said he would do him proud. Michael asked about his siblings. Sonny gave him the report, revealing that Carly wanted Jax to adopt Morgan. They talked some more, then Sonny promised that when Michael got out, his life would be better. Michael was taken back to his cell. Sonny was then confronted by Anthony. The men faced off. Anthony pointed out that despite what Jason planned to do, nobody was safe in prison. "Don't ever threaten my son!" Sonny bellowed, adding that he could make trouble on the inside for Anthony and for Johnny on the outside.
Lucky and Dante thought they had a lead on how to get the goods on Judge Carroll. Claire arrived and they showed her some info they found on the judge's past. She offered to show it to the judge to try to get Michael's verdict overturned. "But I need something more concrete," she added. It turned out to be a false lead, so they were left with nothing. Dante worried because he knew his brother was a target in jail. Dante visited Michael and explained that he and Lucky were trying to get the judge to overturn the sentence. "I'm not giving up till I get you home," Dante declared. Michael told his brother that Sonny was already working on it. Dante warned him not to have faith in Sonny, since he was the reason Michael was locked up in the first place.
Patrick and Robin met up at the nurses' station. He told her he was doing a study for the chief and asked if she could help him. She said she couldn't take on another project because she was consulting in the AIDS wing. "Since when?" Patrick asked. She explained that she had been thinking about it. She took off, then an angry Matt confronted his brother over a surgery he assigned him. Patrick wasn't in the mood. Matt asked what was wrong. Patrick told him about Robin's new position and that she had been poring over old diaries of her and Stone. "So you're trying to compete with a dead man," Matt noted.
Maxie came to the hospital, frantically looking for Robin. Matt accused her of wanting to see him. Maxie rushed to Robin and told her about Jason's sacrifice. She explained that it was bumming out Spinelli and she needed to do something epic for him. Robin had to tend to patients, which gave Maxie the idea of making Spinelli have to fight another man for her. All she needed was a hot guy who was into her, she reasoned. Target: Matt. "What? You're going to act like you're hot for my brother-in-law?" Robin gasped. Maxie said yes, then swore Robin to secrecy. Maxie put her plan in motion and she and Matt went out to get ice cream together. Flirty banter ensued.
Patrick and Lisa talked about her night out with the chief. She said Steve was a good guy and they had a lot in common. Lisa ran into Steve after and commented that she had a good time with him the night before. The conversation continued in the locker room, where he was getting changed. They talked about his musical past. It was not a professional discussion -- and he was shirtless. Patrick was about to walk in, but stopped when he saw them chatting.
Olivia visited Johnny. They argued over Sonny and how he would come after Johnny now that Jason was going to Pentonville. "Let him," Johnny spat. She refused to stick around to watch Johnny self-destruct and stormed out. Ethan came by to see Johnny and explained he needed money. Johnny told Ethan that Jason was going to jail to protect Michael from the inside. Ethan was stunned. Johnny was annoyed about it all, noting that without Jason to keep Sonny under control, Johnny was a marked man. But, he added, without Jason around, Sonny was vulnerable and Johnny planned to break him. "When I'm done with him, Sonny's gonna have no power. And me, laughing in his face," Johnny vowed. Ethan was dubious and decided not to get involved with Johnny's vendetta. He would get his money elsewhere, Ethan said. Later, Sonny stopped in and warned Johnny that he had two strikes against him. "You cross me again or you hurt anybody in my family, you're done," Sonny announced. Johnny wasn't threatened. Olivia came in, so Sonny left, but not before telling Olivia that her boyfriend was running out of time.
Alexis and Nikolas discussed the civil case Keifer's parents brought against her. She pointed out that they wanted someone to pay for Keifer's death and she wouldn't let it be Kristina. Nik wanted to put some (financial) pressure on the Bauers. Alexis wasn't so sure. Nik met up with Warren, introduced himself and said that Warren would now be dealing with him. "How you deal with your grief, Mr. Bauer, is your business until you inflict it on my family. Then, it becomes my business. I will stop you, no matter what it takes," Nik declared.
Claire went to the hospital to see Dr. Lee. After, she walked through the park in a daze. She ran into Lucky, who asked if she was okay. At first she said yes, then revealed that she wouldn't be well for awhile. They sat on a bench. She commented on how adorable his kids were, adding that she wanted one just like Jake. She then went on a tear about how she really wanted children and Dr. Lee told her that her biological clock was ticking. Lucky was visibly uncomfortable, but told her that being a father was the most important thing in the world to him.
Wednesday
In the park, Claire found a sympathetic ear in Lucky about her biological clock ticking. Lucky opened up about Elizabeth and the boys. She said it appeared that he still cared for his ex. He then admitted the truth about their breakup, but claims he finally broke the cycle. Claire was in awe that he wasn't bitter. "You should have seen me then," he nodded. Lucky then admitted that he can't forgive his brother for his actions. Claire thanked Lucky for a nice talk and left.
At the Metro Court restaurant, Nikolas tried to threaten Warren into dropping his lawsuit against Alexis. Warren refused. Nik pointed out that Kiefer beat Kristina, but Warren vowed to clear his son's name at the trial. As the men started shouting, Carly approached and asked them to keep it down. "This is far from over," Warren said before leaving. Nik informed Carly that he doesn't want to have Kristina relive her abuse nightmare on the stand. Carly noted that all of Sonny's children are suffering.
At the cabin, Sam and Jason enjoyed their last hours of his freedom together. Jason was surprised that Sam actually made them sandwiches. They took bites and Jason claimed he loved it, even though he didn't. They started laughing. Jason asked Sam to look after Spinelli in his absence. She agreed and they kissed. Sam didn't want them to leave, but Jason said they had to go. Then, Jason promised he'd bring Sam back to the cabin when he gets out of prison.
At Pentonville, Dante tried talking to Michael but Michael pointed out that Dante was the reason he's in prison. Dante vowed to free his brother from jail.
At the hospital, Patrick watched Lisa and Steven flirting in the locker room and his jealousy was evident. At the hub, Steven accused Patrick of acting like a jealous boyfriend. Just then, Robin approached and asked the men what they were arguing about. Steven covered for Patrick. Afterward, Patrick admitted to Robin that he was being an ass. Later, Robin asked Steven if she could spend more time working in the AIDS wing and made a touching case for her desire. Steven said he'd talk to the Board about it. Patrick went to the locker room and apologized to Lisa. After he left, Lisa smiled.
At The Haunted Star, Luke sent Ethan to fetch some Russian caviar, charged to her credit card, of course. Luke had a special dinner prepared, complete with champagne. Luke then sent Ethan to pick Tracy up at the Q mansion. Luke was unaware that Helena was holding Tracy hostage in a dungeon. Helena informed Tracy that she aimed to kidnap Luke, as well. Tracy told Helena that Luke would be there to rescue her. Helena said she counted on that. Back in P.C., as Luke waited, he heard someone approach. Thinking it was Tracy, he lit the candles. It was Skye, who wished Luke a happy anniversary. Luke opened the champagne and asked Skye if she ever thought about the past. She told Luke he talked a good game but he loves Tracy. She put her champagne down and left.
Dante met Lulu in the park. She enjoyed watching him help a young pregnant woman stand up. Dante and Lulu discussed how difficult it would be for her, as it was for his mom, to be a single mother. At Metro Court, Lulu crossed paths with Carly. They discussed Jason turning himself in. Lulu offered to wait with her. Carly allowed it. Lulu fretted about telling Dante about her abortion.
Nikolas asked for Lucky's help, stating he was worried that Helena was up to something. Lucky gave Nik attitude and told his brother that he'd handle it himself.
Jason walked into the PCPD and turned himself in. Meanwhile, a menacing guard entered Michael cell.
Thursday
At the PCPD, Sam had difficulty seeing Jason go off to prison. They had a moment alone in the interrogation room while Claire processed his paperwork, and talked about their time at the cabin. Jason joked that his favorite part was lunch. Kristina entered and thanked Jason for what he was doing. She also promised to write and visit. Jason asked Kristina to keep an eye on Sam for him. After she left, Claire came back and said it was time. Just then. Mayor Floyd entered and declared that Jason wasn't going anywhere.
Sonny was furious that he couldn't use his influence to get Michael
released. Sonny vented his frustration to Robin. In turn, she admitted that she wants to do something to honor Stone's memory. She asked Sonny for a donation for the AIDS wing. Sonny was happy to help.
At Metro Court, Lulu talked with Carly about her fear of telling Dante about her abortion. Carly pretended to care and offered sage advice.
Olivia visited Johnny and reminded him that she doesn't want to see him go after Sonny. Johnny asked Olivia to not try and change him, and pulled her in to a deep, slow kiss. They made love but afterward, Olivia warned Johnny that his hatred for Sonny was destroying him.
At The Haunted Star, Luke was worried about Tracy's disappearance and fretted that something was wrong. Maya dropped in with a message from Edward saying that he heard from Tracy, who stated she was in Fiji. Luke suspected that something was still wrong, noting that Tracy would never blow off their anniversary. Luke then asked Ethan about money missing from the casino. He tried to say he lost it to Maya in a card game but she exposed his lie and left. Ethan then came clean and said he got a loan from Johnny Z. Luke warned his son that Johnny is a target and Sonny will go gunning for him — and Ethan could get caught in the crossfire.
Carly visited Spinelli at the penthouse, who was upset about Jason's surrender. Carly told Spinelli that he needs to get out of his funk, and she planned to help him do that by "doing something useful." Carly told Spinelli about her plan for payback and asked Spinelli for his assistance in ruining Dante's life. Carly added that she was trying to stop Dante from hurting Lulu, which got Spinelli on-board. As Spinelli opened his laptop, Carly couldn't help but smile. Spinelli then searched Dante's background, and Carly spotted a picture of Dante with Brook Lynn Ashton.
In the park, Ethan crossed paths with Kristina. It was initially awkward but Kristina saw Ethan had a problem and offered to listen if he wanted to talk. Ethan opened up about his debt problem. Kristina told him to be careful. Ethan thanked her for listening, then went to see Johnny and said he was "in." Johnny was excited about their new partnership and planned his next attack on Sonny's business.
At Crimson, Lulu returned to work, and Maxie voiced her concern for Spinelli. Lulu countered that she's worried about losing Dante if he learns of her abortion.
Sonny met Olivia at Metro Court and said they should stop fighting and start over. Olivia was wary.
In Pentonville, Frank the guard was about to give Michael a beat down but Carter interceded and distracted Frank. Later, Carter returned and told Michael that he expected retribution for his favor.
Friday
After seeing the photo of Dante and Brook Lynn on the Internet, Carly wondered just how well they knew each other. She and Spinelli discussed her expensive clothing, and Carly noted, "Bensonhurst puts out a lot of dimples." Spinelli also found Brook has had trouble with the law, has been cut off financially from the Qs and is a struggling musician. Carly smiled.
At the PCPD, Mayor Floyd detained Jason, who was anxious to get to prison to protect Michael. Dante stepped in and planned to expedite Jason's departure. Dante took the Mayor aside and whispered that he had evidence of Floyd being with hookers long before his wife's death. Dante threatened to take it to the press, and the Mayor folded. Jason and Sam shared a final embrace as Jason was taken away. A tearful Sam clutched her compass necklace.
At Pentonville, Carter went to touch Michael's hair and Michael flinched. Carter grabbed Michael by the throat and said that prison wasn't about doing time, it was about, "surviving it." Michael punched Carter and ran out of his cell. "Where you gonna go?" Carter shouted after him. Michael was obviously scared by the encounter. Later that night, Michael returned to his cell for lockdown when Carter appeared. Carter told Michael that he liked him, and that, "It's only a matter of time." In the middle of the night, Carter was let out of his cell and entered Michael's. "It's time," he grinned menacingly. As Jason arrived at Pentonville, Carter said to Michael, "Time to pay up."
At Crimson, Maxie advised Lulu not to tell Dante about her abortion. Matt stopped by and Maxie told Lulu of her plan to snap Spinelli out of his funk by making him jealous with Matt. Lulu was appalled and left. Maxie told Matt that she needed an escort to the museum for a Crimson function. Maxie was surprised that Matt was a regular museum patron. He asked her to join him for drinks, dinner and dancing afterwards. Maxie was hesitant, but obviously charmed by Matt.
Lulu went to the penthouse to check on Spinelli. She pleaded Dante's side of the story to The Jackal, but he was not sympathetic. Spinelli feared that Jason will never leave prison.
At Metro Court, Olivia was wary about having dinner with Sonny. After her apprehension passed, Sonny and Olivia talked about the old days. Dante arrived, shocked to see his mother's dinner companion. Dante called his mother, "blind and gullible." Dante then pointed out that Sonny was wining and dining while Michael was eating prison slop. After Dante left, Olivia wrestled with her guilt, then walked out. Sonny went home to find Johnny there. Johnny told Sonny to expect a call. Sonny reached for his gun, then the phone rang. Johnny said it was Bernie calling with some bad news.
In a city park, Carly spied on Brook, who conned a pretzel, soda and subway fare out of vendor. Carly watched in amusement and emerged from the bushes. She paid off the vendor and told Brook they needed to talk. Carly offered Brook cash, and assured Brook that she could make the credit card fraud charges disappear, in exchange for a little "cooperation."
Dante went to Crimson to find Lulu and vented about his day. Lulu was poised to break the news.... Sam returned to the penthouse in tears. "It's done?" Spinelli asked Sam. She remained silent, then broke down. Spinelli hugged her.
