GH Week of March 24, 2008
Monday
Harper and Alexis found Randy's dead body floating in the water.
Jax and Carly weren't happy to see Sonny in their living room. Sonny vowed that things would be safer for his kids, then Michael blurted out about Carly's pregnancy. Mercedes whisked Michael and Morgan out of the house so the adults could talk. Sonny realized that Carly lost the baby. "Because of you," Jax added. Carly took a little of the sting out but was furious that her ex-husband neglected to tell her about Michael buying a gun. Sonny agreed, apologized, vowed to keep his children safe and left.
At the Quartermaine mansion, Monica denied any wrongdoing to Jason regarding Sam's accident. Jason pointed out their was surveillance tape evidence proving the truth. Jason asked his mother if she'd blacked out. Monica returned with the question: "If I did it, would you cover it up for me?"
Monica then asked Jason if he could blame her for drinking, having lost
Emily and Alan because of him. She told him to do whatever he wanted with the tape and threw Jason out.
Claudia went to Ian with a job offer. She revealed they'd worked together in
Italy in mob circles and admitted that she didn't know he'd become a doctor.
Claudia told Ian they need to get rid of Sonny.
Ric tried to ease Marianna's mind about their actions in covering up Randy's death. Ric said he was finally free of his father's influence. He discussed an idea to open a new restaurant on the piers and have Marianna run the place. She loved the idea and said she could make the dishes her mother used to make. Alexis arrived to let Ric know she couldn't take the girls to Disney On Ice because of Randy's possible murder. After she left, Marianna panicked but Ric assured her that everything would be okay.
Maxie went to Kate in search of a job. "Fashion is my life," Maxie pleaded.
Kate decided to take a chance on the girl and gave her an interview. Kate
grilled Maxie on her fashion knowledge and Maxie managed to hold her own. After Sonny interrupted the proceedings, Maxie excused herself and Kate said she'd think about it. Once alone, Kate told Sonny that Maxie reminded her of a young Connie.
Jason told Spinelli to keep a lid on the tape, then called Sam and asked to
meet with her. Jason told Sam the truth about her assailant. At first, Sam
thought Jason was covering for Elizabeth but when she realized Jason was telling the truth, she stated she wouldn't press charges, citing that Monica has suffered enough.
Nikolas showed up at the Q mansion, surprising Monica. He assured her this
wasn't a social call. Nik wanted to establish an endowment in Emily's name. Monica put down her glass and told Nik, "Why bother? Emily's dead." She apologized for the outburst. Nik suggested that a way to console herself would be to do what Emily would want for her. After Nik left, Monica grabbed her car keys and her purse.
Claudia made martinis for her and Johnny and mentioned that she was
considering redecorating the house and taking over the family business with her brother. Trevor heard the kids' discussion and reminded them that they can't run the operation without him.
Carly caught Jax in the nursery, holding a baby blanket. Jax told his wife he's tired of Sonny and his violent world. When Carly pointed out that
fighting wouldn't bring their baby back, the marrieds held each other
through their tears.... Maxie went to Spinelli and asked him to make her
sound smart. Spinelli reluctantly agreed.... Jason broke the news to
Elizabeth that she didn't run down Sam. Liz was elated. They kissed....
After Marianna left, Trevor showed up at Ric's door, demanding ownership of
the piers. Trevor said Randy was killed with a tire iron and he had the
murder weapon — with Marianna's fingerprints on it.... Claudia and Johnny showed up at the hospital and Claudia pretended to meet Ian for the first time.... Sam went to Lucky, told him about Monica and said he's free to leave her now, case closed.... Jason considered telling Monica that Jake was her grandson. Meanwhile, Monica was seen slumped in her car after an accident.
Tuesday
Ric didn't believe Trevor's claim that Marianna killed Randy but his devious
father said her guilt didn't matter — he'd be sure she went to jail anyway. He offered Marianna's freedom for the possession of the Alcazar piers. Ric was furious at how cold-hearted his father was being towards him. Trevor said it was just business. Ric shouted that his father always blamed him for losing Adela and asked Trevor to step up and let him be happy just once. Trevor would have none of it — He dropped the bombshell that Marianna was
working for him. Ric refused to accept the truth, though it slowly dawned on
him that what Trevor was saying was indeed true. He told Trevor to leave
Marianna alone from now on, then signed the docs and threw them at his
father. Trevor told his son not to be bitter, since he gets the girl in the
end.
Elizabeth was concerned about Jason's idea of telling Monica about Jake. She
feared if too many people knew, the secret of his paternity would come out
and place their son in danger. Just then, Jason got a call from Epiphany
telling him that Monica had been in a car accident.
Lucky claimed to Sam that he wanted her back. She didn't believe him at
first but he managed to convince her that they had a future together — if they could be honest with each other.
Sonny didn't believe that Kate could throw herself back into work so easily
after just being shot by his son, Michael. Kate admitted some denial but believed work was the best therapy for her.
Mercedes brought the boys back from the arcade with a present for the baby's room. Carly and Jax realized it was time to fill the boys on Carly's
miscarriage. Michael was saddened and blamed himself, though his parents told him that he is not responsible for the loss of the baby.
At G.H., Claudia refused to accept a chart that Robin had handled, as the
HIV positive doc had gotten a paper cut. Jason arrived and warned Robin to
stay away from Claudia. Jason then went to see Monica and told her it's time to come clean with the police. Monica told Jason that she was prepared to face the music. She admitted she was ashamed of her behavior and told Jason despite what she had said in the past, he's still her son and she loves him. When Jason left the room, he found Claudia waiting for him. Claudia went to on to propose a deal. She asked Jason to kill Trevor and she promised him her eternal gratitude.
When a harried mother of two crossed Patrick's path at G.H., she handed him
her baby to hold. A stunned Patrick was clearly uncomfortable and had no
experience holding a child. Robin looked on in amusement. Later, Robin told Patrick that he can relax: she's glad he's the baby's dad but she's not
asking him for anything.
Ric went to see Sonny to warn him that Trevor now has the piers. Sonny
lashed out at his little brother and accused him of being in cahoots with
Trevor regarding the cannery explosion. Ric told Sonny that he wasn't letting Trevor's obsessions rule his life anymore but Sonny was skeptical of Ric's newfound convictions.
Wednesday
Carly was determined to get her life back on track, much to Jax's relief.
Despite their loss, the vowed to focus on their family and move on. Carly
even vowed to return to her annoying self, prompting a smile from her
husband.
Maxie tried to help her cousin Robin deal with morning sickness. "I did a
lot of research when I was faking," she quipped. Maxie suggested a few
remedies, which didn't help her queasy cuz.
Tracy visited the infirmed Monica. Lulu overheard Tracy say that Monica hit
Sam. Monica replied that she plans to take full responsibility for her
actions. She also apologized to Lulu for kicking her and Luke out of the
mansion and invited them to return. Tracy was flummoxed. After they left,
Nikolas visited Monica. She was pleased with his plans for Emily's
endowment. He then confided in her about seeing Emily. Monica realized that it was probably the tumor but said she'd give anything to see both Emily and Alan again. After Nik left, Alexis showed up at Monica's request. Just as she was about to spill to Alexis about her culpability in Sam's accident,
Diane entered and ordered Monica to remain silent. Diane mentioned that
Jason had hired her and Alexis realized that Monica was Sam's assailant. Diane then shuffled Alexis out of the room.
Claudia visited Luke at the Haunted Star and quizzed him more about Sonny. Luke advised Claudia to steer clear of Corinthos, as Sonny's enemies always end up dead. Claudia refused to back off from Sonny after he kidnapped Johnny. She and Luke shared a drink and he probed her about her past. She told Luke it would be more profitable for him to side with her. Tracy entered and mistook Claudia for a hooker. Claudia played along to get Luke in trouble with his clearly angry wife. After Claudia sashayed out, Tracy told Luke he was free to drop dead. Later, Lulu showed up and informed him about Monica's invitation to come back to the mansion. Luke was overjoyed.
They returned to the Q manse and Tracy told Lulu that her room was ready but Luke had to go.
Jax visited Kate and apologized for Michael's actions. Kate realized it was
an accident. Jax advised Kate to move on from Sonny. She told Jax that
she'd be okay and, "What can I say? I love the guy." Jax told Kate about the
miscarriage; she was most sympathetic. Afterward, Maxie showed up for work and Kate instructed her new employee in her duties. Just then, Claudia busted in and offered to do Kate a favor. Kate gave Claudia a dressing down, much to Maxie's bemusement.
At G.H., Robin bumped into Carly and was shocked to learn about Carly's
miscarriage. Patrick apologized to Robin for not telling her about Carly's
plight. Later, an upset Robin went home early. Patrick went over to Robin's, where Robin confessed that she felt guilty about all the mean things she'd said about Carly. Patrick assured Robin that the miscarriage was not her fault.
Nadine interrupted and exchange between Nik and Ian and asked why he was starting an endowment when he'd be dead before it could get started....
Jason found Carly sobbing into a baby blanket and consoled her.
Thursday
Carly showed Jason the dress that Jax bought for their baby and cried. Then,
she switched gears and focused on Michael and asked Jason why he hadn't filled her in on Michael wanting to buy a gun. Jason said he didn’t want to
add stress to her pregnancy. Then Carly called him out on Sam's accident and how he was investigating her as a suspect. "When did I become such an
annoyance to you, Jason?" she asked. Jason pointed out that he loves Liz and
Carly's hatred of the woman he loves is a problem. Carly said she blamed Liz for him lying to her for months about Jake.
Sonny walked into Kate's house and was angry to find Claudia there. Claudia then blurted out that she knew who he was that night in the bar. She then relayed all the sordid details of their tryst in front of Kate and Maxie.
Claudia told Sonny that if their truce is going to work, they need to start
on equal footing. After Claudia left, Kate dismissed Maxie and she and Sonny had a hear-to-heart. Sonny managed to convince Kate that there was no other woman for him but her and they kissed.
At G.H., Nadine chided Nikolas for being so cavalier about his brain tumor. "Have the surgery," she pleaded. When Nik refused to budge, Nadine called on Liz for help. Liz discussed Nik’s case with Robin and Patrick. Nikolas heard them and was furious at Nadine. She shot back that she said nothing about Emily or his death wish, then stormed off.
Edward was furious to find out that Luke and Lulu were planning to move back into the mansion. When Tracy balked about Luke staying, Alice threatened a staff walkout. Edward was shocked to learn that Luke was so close to the staff, discovering that the gang played poker together every Thursday. He wanted in on the game. When Tracy balked at that, Luke said she can’t throw him out because she loves him. Tracy hesitantly agreed to let him stay, "But this time, you’re at my mercy,” she warned.
At G.H., Lulu helped Logan convalesce and he asked her to stop apologizing
for putting him there in the first place. Just as they were sharing a warm
moment, Johnny arrived. Lulu excused herself to go visit Carly.
Ric confronted Marianna on her betrayal. "He didn't pay me to fall in love with you," she replied. "I did that on my own.” Ric reminded Marianna that she had a choice every time she lied to him. She tearfully apologized and turned down his offer of money. She begged his forgiveness but Ric said he'd never be able to trust her again. Marianna decided to go back to the Vineyard and told Ric she'd be there, hoping to hear from him. Before
leaving, Marianna warned Ric that if he goes after Trevor for revenge, then
Trevor will have won.
Jax returned home, where Jason apologized for not speaking up earlier about Michael and the gun. When he left, Jax snidely commented that Jason seems to be the only one who can soothe her. He then apologized. They agreed not to try to conceive again right away. Jax invited Carly to lunch but Carly decided to lie down instead. After Jax left, Lulu dropped by to seek her cousin’s advice on her dilemma with Johnny. Carly told Lulu she needs a life — or at least a job. Then Carly’s light bulb went off: "How do you feel about a career in fashion," she asked Lulu.
When Jason returned home, Spinelli informed Stone Cold that Monica was
turning herself in. Jason lamented that ever since learning about Jake, he's
been telling lies which have ended up hurting the people he loves. Claudia
came by and was oddly charmed by Spinelli. "He's sweet," she smiled. "I'm
surprised he's a friend of yours," she told Jason. Stone Cold ordered
Spinelli out so they could talk shop. Claudia then opened her briefcase to
reveal a gun and ammo and asked him to take out Trevor.
Friday
Sonny told Trevor that it was a mistake for him to have sold Trevor the
property. He accused Sonny and Ric (who was also present) of teaming up
together. Sonny told Trevor that he'd broken their truce and should sleep
with one eye open. After Trevor left, Ric and Sonny discussed a potential
partnership but Sonny noted that he doesn't trust Ric. Sonny told a
departing Ric that while he would never forgive him for what he did to his
family, especially Carly, no one deserved to be treated the way Trevor
treated Ric. Ric left after vowing to do whatever it took to bring his
father down.
Claudia tried to get Jason to agree to kill Trevor. Jason told her to do it
herself. Patrick stopped by and Jason ordered Claudia to leave. Patrick told
Jason that without leaving torn for surgery, permanent nerve damage to both
hands was likely and left when Jason refused the notion. Spinelli, who
arrived in his yoga finest, urged Jason to have the surgery.... Claudia met
up with Ian and told him that killing Trevor was going to be up to him....
Jason told Sonny about his meeting with Claudia. After their discussion,
Jason assigned Spinelli to keep close watch on Sonny, which left Spinelli
rather jittery.
Maxie, declaring herself to be Kate's new assistant, interrupted a confab
between Carly and Lulu. She left after dissing Lulu's outfit. Carly urged
Lulu to take a job with Kate.
Jax and Kate discussed his interest in Crimson. She made it clear that she
would retain complete creative control. They returned to her place and
commenced a meeting over the phone. Kate was impressed when Jax stepped in
at a crucial moment to salvage an exclusive for Crimson that was in
jeopardy.
Johnny reeled from the news that his father stood a good chance of regaining
mental competence (that he'd been drugged for 20 years was the root of his
mental problems). He then went over to Carly's and though he denied it,
Carly had come to see Lulu. He didn't stay long. Carly phoned Jax and got
Maxie, who hung up on her since Jax was in a "crucial meeting". This
inspired Lulu to decide to go after Maxie's job. Carly and Lulu showed up at
Kate's and Carly announced that her cousin would now be Kate's assistant.
Jerry lured Alexis out for a drink on the pretense of a meeting. She
admitted that she was attracted to him.
On the docks, Ian introduced Claudia to an arriving Jerry. Claudia was
annoyed to learn that Ian had a business partner (Jerry). Claudia wanted a
hit on Sonny, as soon as possible. Jerry told Ian that he wouldn't kill
Sonny.... Sonny and Claudia came face-to-face.
Ric went to see Anthony. He told him that he was there to help him, that he
could get him his freedom —for a price.
Ric went to Sonny with the suggestion that they team up against Trevor. Just
then, Trevor showed up.
