GH Week of March 17, 2008
Monday
Bombs destroyed the cannery in glorious CGI. In the aftermath, Johnny climbed out of the Styrofoam wreckage, calling for Claudia. He found a trapped Michael and freed him. The kid wanted to find his mother. Sonny stumbled out of the smoking ruins just as Jax arrived and told him Carly and Michael were inside. Johnny brought Michael out, but said he didn't see Carly. Inside, Ric helped Marianna, who swore she didn't kill Randy. Ric vowed to stand by her if she's implicated, and suggested the explosion could work for them: If the body is destroyed, it can't be linked to her. He covered the body with debris to hide it from firefighters and guided her out. Outside, while Mac took statements, Michael confessed to his father that he shot Kate. Sonny said it was an accident, and he's proud of him(!) "You're my son and I'll love you forever." Sonny refused to go to GH so he could search for Carly. Johnny ran inside. Sonny told Mac about his meeting, then ran inside, too. Alexis arrived, and Harper told her the explosion looks deliberate. Jax told her about Carly and Michael, and about Sonny and the Zaccharas before going inside to look for Carly. Later, Jerry arrived, and after Alexis told him Jax went inside Jerry followed. Inside, Sonny came across Trevor, who talked trash about Claudia. A lurking Johnny found a gun and aimed (but at Trevor or Sonny?), but he was interrupted by firefighters before he could pull the trigger. Trevor scolded Mac for letting Johnny rush inside. Trevor claimed he was there on business, but Alexis was suspicious of the coincidental meeting of mob figures. Marianna was brought out, saying she got separated from Ric. Trevor accused Marianna of abandoning his son. Ric was actually dragging Randy's body to a hotter area to be destroyed when Jax happened by, forcing him to hide. When Jerry appeared Jax asked him why the place blew up. After they wandered off Ric resumed dragging the corpse. Sonny located Carly's cell phone — and then a pile of rubble moved. Meanwhile, a mysterious sexy woman in red entered a deserted Jake's and grabbed herself a beer: Carly. She shot pool alone — until Jason showed.
At GH, Robin suffered with morning sickness, but told Patrick she was fine. Kelly wanted to talk to her, but she became even more defensive. When Patrick asked for a consult, they couldn't get along. Epiphany reported that an injured Michael was brought in, and Sonny asked for Robin to check him out personally. She did, and took the time to reminisce about how she used to live with Jason when Michael was little, and how she used to care for him. Elsewhere at GH, Lulu visited the comatose Logan. She wondered if he is glad she's there, and why he tried to frame Johnny. After she left in despair, his hand twitched. Lulu found Patrick and asked about Logan's prognosis. The doc gave him "pretty good" odds. When Lulu overheard Michael was on the floor, Robin told her about the explosion, and Lulu rushed off. Later, Robin approached Patrick and confessed, "I'm the biggest hypocrite that ever drew breath, and I'm sorry."
At the waterfront, Lulu inquired about cousin Carly, then rushed into Johnny's arms when she spotted him. Assuming he'd found Carly, Sonny worked to clear the rubble. Oops — it was Claudia. "Is my brother okay?" she asked. As Carly shot pool with Jason, her body lay unconscious in the warehouse, half-submerged in water.
Tuesday
Robin admitted she should have told Patrick he was the father of her child right from the start. She felt bad about lying, just like Carly and her mother lied about babies. Robin said Patrick gave her "the greatest gift that I will ever receive." He said, "I'm glad to be the father of your baby," but was nervous and confused.
Outside the smoldering cannery, Johnny kissed Lulu and told her about saving Michael, then rushed back inside to find Claudia. Inside, Sonny freed a bleeding Claudia, who begged him to stay with her and find Johnny. He pointed her in Johnny's direction, then went after Carly. Claudia and Johnny hooked up in the smoky ruins, where he fretted over her injury. She said Sonny freed her and abandoned her. Outside, Trevor pressed Marianna about getting Ric to sign over the property. Jax and Jerry stumbled out of the cannery and Alexis ordered cops to keep the brothers from going back inside. Meanwhile, Carly's body lay in the water as her spirit played pool with Jason at Jake's. Back in the real world, Ric dumped Randy's body in the water, then spotted Carly. He leaped in and dragged her to safety. He performed CPR, then firemen arrived. Elsewhere, Alexis told Sonny that Carly was found, then asked about his "mob conference." When Carly was put on a gurney Jax told the EMTs she's pregnant. Ric told Harper he didn't know anything about the explosion. Sonny demanded to know why Ric was in the cannery. Sonny acknowledged that Ric saved Carly's life, noting, "I owe you for that." Ric told Marianna he got rid of Randy's body. Jax made Jerry swear he wasn't involved in the blast. Jerry noted the bombs were incompetently set. Later, Alexis fended off Jerry's advances. "Pick a better time and a better place, and we'll call it a date," he suggested. Alexis was distracted by Ric and Marianna. She had seen Marianna talking to Trevor, which would be bad for Ric.
Claudia was brought to GH, where Robin tried to examine her, but Claudia freaked when Robin revealed she is HIV-positive. Patrick leaped to Robin's defense, noting, "She's carrying my baby." Later, in the locker room, Patrick assured Robin that their baby will be born healthy, and even if the child does contract HIV, Robin will teach the baby to live with it (and ignore the ignorance of others). When Carly was brought to GH, Kelly worked on her, while DreamCarly played pool with DreamJason while Garbage's "Milk" played on the jukebox. Back at GH,
Jax told Lulu that Carly was being treated for hypothermia. Then Kelly reported that Carly was breathing on her own and her body was being warmed slowly. Sonny arrived at Claudia's hospital room, demanding to know who caused the explosion. A gun-wielding Johnny got the drop on Sonny: "Who's in charge now, big boy?" he demanded. He pistol-whipped Sonny, demanding an apology to Claudia while Lulu watched in horror. Johnny promised to squash Sonny like a cockroach. Shocked, Lulu fled. Claudia warned Johnny that Sonny is dangerous, but Johnny vowed to take everything from Sonny, "piece by piece." He admitted he cares for his sister, and she admitted she felt responsible for letting Sonny kidnap him. She reminisced about caring for him when he was younger. Lulu fled to Logan's room, where she wondered if Johnny was truly evil or just crazy. When she pondered leaving Johnny, Logan opened his eyes. Elsewhere, Jax sat vigil over Carly. Kelly told him there was no sign of a miscarriage. Suddenly, Carly went into arrest, and Jax was sent away so the doctors could work. Jax warned Sonny to "stay the hell away from my family!"
Sonny reminded him, "They're my family, too." At that moment, DreamJason told DreamCarly, "The game is over; it's time to go back." So she walked out the door — into the light — and Carly awoke.
Wednesday
Johnny tried to convince Claudia to take it easy. She told him he needed to be afraid of Sonny. She told him the Zaccharas would kill Corinthos, but they needed to be smart about it. Claudia wondered if Johnny thought she had only come back to take over the business. She clarified she was there to make sure Trevor didn't try to take the power away from Johnny. Just then, Johnny caught Trevor snooping at the door. Trevor warned Johnny not to trust Claudia. He reminded them that he had taken care of the business when their father went crazy. After they both left him, Johnny made a call telling someone he needed to see them.
Carly woke up, and Jax filled her in on what happened. She asked if they lost the baby. He told her Dr. Lee said there was no sign of trouble. Soon after, Dr. Lee checked on Carly again, and said that even though the baby was okay, they weren't out of the woods yet, so she wanted Carly to stay at the hospital. Michael and Morgan came for a visit, and Carly told them they she was having a baby. They sent Morgan out, and Carly and Michael talked about him shooting Kate. Jax was shocked to discover Michael was the one behind the shooting, and couldn't believe Carly was planning on covering it up. They argued and Jax left.
Liz tried to convince Lulu to talk to Logan, but she didn't want to. They sat down to talk, and Lulu told her about her feelings for Johnny, and her recent realization about him. Scott visited Logan, and told him Dr. Drake said he would make a full recovery. Logan defended Lulu's actions just as she walked in. Logan asked Lulu to stay, and suggested Scott leave. After a bit of an argument, he agreed. After he was gone, Lulu said that Scott was right about her. Logan disagreed — she was there when he woke up. Lulu told him she visited every day. She told him that she cared about him, but that she cared about Johnny, too. She needed to figure out what she wanted. Logan told her that was fine, but he wasn't going to give up on her. Scott returned to Logan's room and continued to give him a hard time about Lulu. He feared Miss Spencer would to do Logan what Laura did to him. Logan said he was nothing like Scott.
Sam checked out Liz's car and Lucky caught her. He asked if she thought Elizabeth hit her, and Sam accused him of protecting her. After she left, Elizabeth found Lucky by her car. He told her Sam knew that Liz had hit her.
Sam visited Alexis at her office. She asked about what would happen to the person who hit her if they were caught. Alexis wondered if she remembered something, and Sam said she had been having flashes of memory. Alexis wanted to go to the police, but Sam wasn't ready to do that yet. Sam showed up at Elizabeth's and confronted her. Elizabeth insisted it was an accident, but Sam wasn't moved. Sam told her she would lie and say she remembered seeing Elizabeth. Elizabeth warned her that if she pressed charges, she would do the same regarding Sam being involved in Jake's kidnapping.
Claudia visited Carly in the hospital, and told her that Johnny was the one who pulled Michael out of the building the night before. She warned her to reign Sonny in, or there was going to be a mob war, which would endanger her family. An agitated Carly told her not to threaten her family, and suddenly gasped in pain and grabbed her abdomen.
Lulu went to see Johnny, who immediately kissed her. Meanwhile, Trevor visited Anthony. He warned him Claudia was going to take over. Anthony said he was Trevor's only chance to stay safe.
Thursday
Elizabeth and Sam traded threats to expose secrets and send each other to jail, but Sam trumped all arguments by threatening to expose Jason as Jake's father. She demanded Liz cop a plea for running Sam down in return for her silence. She warned Liz that her crimes would come back to haunt her. Later, Lucky arrived at GH and ran into Liz. Then Sam approached them both and said she had decided not to press charges. Lucky praised her decision.
While Carly writhed in pain in her hospital room, Jason spotted Claudia and quizzed her. She said she wanted Carly to talk Sonny out of war. Meanwhile, at Crimson Point, Lulu told Johnny she saw him put a gun to Sonny's head. He dismissed it as just business. Lulu said she can't be with him if he wants to go to war. Claudia asked her brother how he met Lulu, and he related picking her up hitchhiking. He added that he always knew she would leave him. Back in Port Charles, Sonny ordered extra security for his kids to answer Johnny's threat. Jax strolled in to say his family is already threatened. He demanded that Michael turn himself in for Kate's shooting. Sonny warned him to stay out of it. Jax warned Sonny to get out of Michael's life, but Sonny vowed to spend even more time with him. Jax got a call and left to "take care of my family." At GH, Jason comforted Carly. She told him she dreamed of playing pool with him at Jake's. Jason left when Jax arrived. She confided that she was scared, and he reassured her. He suggested working on the nursery — and naming the little girl. Kelly prepared to perform an ultrasound. Sonny, meanwhile, visited Kate. She was jumpy in anticipation of where the next bullet is going to come from, "if we're going to make a go of this." He confessed that Michael shot her. But he didn't mean it. He acknowledged making a "bad judgment call" by blaming the Zaccharas. But now he has to put more security on her &mdash: which she grudgingly accepted. He suggested Michael might need counseling, but he and Carly would figure it out.
Back at GH, Scott told Logan that loving a girl who doesn't love him back will destroy him. "I played second fiddle to a fool for most of my life," he sighed, and advised Logan not to go down that same road. Later, Lulu arrived and told him she broke up with Johnny "for real." She apologized for braining him, and he readily accepted.
Jason was getting the 411 from Max and Milo at Sonny's cafe when Diane arrived. After flirting with Max, she explained the fallout from Michael shooting Kate: If Michael turns himself in and Diane cannot prove it was an accident, Carly could take the fall as the custodial parent. She noted the police want to question both Sonny and Jason in the cannery explosion. Later, Jason told Sonny that Carly might lose the baby. Sonny said the only way to avoid a war with the Zaccharas is a pre-emptive move against Johnny: "We have to kill him." Jason said, "We can't."
Back at GH, Kelly performed the ultrasound. "I'm so sorry," she said. Carly started crying, and Jax embraced her. "I'm sorry," she sobbed.
Friday
Nikolas was overjoyed that Emily came back to Wyndemere. She credited Dr. Devlin's illegal experimental drug, but urged him to have the surgery. Nik insisted the drug would give him more time with Spencer — and her. At G.H., Patrick wanted to call Robin for a consult (as usual), but Epiphany warned him not to disturb her because her hormones are going crazy. Dr. Devlin said Patrick's decision to keep his distance from Robin's baby was the right call. Later, Devlin visited Nikolas, who asked for an indefinite supply of the drug. Devlin demanded $10 million in a Swiss bank account, and Nik agreed. Later, Emily reappeared to say she doesn't like Devlin. "Nikolas, I love you, but this is wrong."
As they grieved the loss of their unborn child, Jax assured Carly that she did nothing wrong; she insisted she should have been more careful. He sobbed as Carly lamented that he won't get to take his little girl to any father/daughter dances. Jax blamed the endless violence in Sonny's life for costing them their baby. He urged her to have Michael confess, but she was too upset to deal. He resolved not to let her ex-husband ruin their future. When Patrick arrived, Carly told him they lost the baby, and he seemed stunned. Later, Kelly told Carly she can go home, and, "It's possible you two can conceive another child."
At Sonnybucks, Jason suggested Sonny may not win a war with the Zaccharas because he has too many liabilities: namely Kate and the kids. Jason called for a truce. Later, at Crimson Point, Claudia warned Johnny not to throw away his own life to kill Sonny, but Johnny insisted that everyone know he did the deed. She suggested using a third party — someone who cannot be traced back to them. Then Sonny suddenly arrived. Sonny admitted he was wrong about who shot Kate, and added, "I'm here to negotiate a truce." His terms: Each side uses its own boats; no drugs in Corinthos territory; and both sides agree not to acquire Alcazar's piers. Claudia objected, but Johnny overruled her and accepted. After Sonny left, Johnny still wanted to kill Sonny — so he agreed to use a third party. Later, Sonny went to Carly's place to talk to Michael, who admitted he was stupid. Sonny said, "You shouldn't have lied, and you shouldn't have got the gun." Michael insisted he was just protecting his mother like Sonny and Jason do. Then Sonny announced he would begin running his business without violence. When Jax and Carly returned home, Michael announced that Sonny is planning to be around more. Meanwhile, Devlin visited Crimson Point, where Claudia kissed him — because they'd worked together before. He asked her family to transport his drugs (for Nikolas) through town.
At G.H., Sam explained that she isn't pressing charges against Elizabeth because she doesn't want to deprive Cameron and Jake of their mother. Then she hobbled off. Monica came by and asked Liz about a patient she's looking for — one who was discharged yesterday. Outside G.H., Lucky spotted Spinelli spying on Monica and sent him packing. Lucky told Monica he recognized "that look" in her eyes — and everyone else can tell she's been drinking, too. Unless she promises to get help, he'll report her to the chief of staff. Monica suspected Tracy sent him. Lucky flagged down a passing Sam and confessed he's constantly thinking about her, so he asked if she wants to try again. She pulled him into a hug — which Liz arrived jut in time to see. Later, Liz visited Jason, whose hands were getting better. He told her he's having Monica watched to build a case that she ran down Sam, but Liz told him she plans to confess. She explained Sam's threat — and Liz sorta believes she's guilty herself. He asked for more time prove it was Monica, and she agreed. They kissed. When she left he summoned Spinelli, who arrived with "conclusive evidence" against the guilty party. Back at G.H., a distraught Patrick told Liz that if Robin ever lost their baby, he "would feel the loss."
At the Quartermaine mansion, Jason slipped in from the veranda to confront Monica with the pronouncement: "You're the one who hit Sam."
