Monday
Lucky found Jason waiting in a car next to the courthouse, figuring he was planning to smuggle Sonny out of the country when his bail is revoked. Lucky said this gives him excuse not to go to Shadybrook and confront Elizabeth. Lucky vowed that whatever happens with the new baby, "Cameron and Jake are still my kids." Lucky noted that Jake has been a good kid, which made Jason misty. Lucky vowed to do the right thing for the boys and Liz. Jason advised him to just tell the truth. Meanwhile, Nikolas brought Cam and Jake to visit Elizabeth. She told them she is going to have a baby, and that she's in Shadybrook because she's really tired. She thanked Nik for bringing her kids and asked him to return later.
Carly burst into the courtroom, demanding to speak. Judge Carroll inexplicably allowed Carly to testify without being sworn in that her husband Jax is out to get her ex-husband, Sonny. Then Carroll asked to hear from Sonny himself. Sonny said he's not a flight risk because he's not about money. His kids make his life worth living, and he would never leave them. In fact, he wants to send more time with his daughter — and his newly discovered son, Officer Falconeri. The judge pointed out that Sonny has not violated his bail so far, so he can remain free. Claire was disappointed, but told Diane and Alexis that the circus atmosphere was enlightening, and will help her at trial. Carly promised Sonny that everything will be okay, and they hugged. Jax approached Carly, and called Sonny a killer. Lulu asked Dante how he felt hearing Sonny's testimony; he noted the parts about being a good dad didn't resonate with him. Sonny thanked Dante for his testimony, but the cop didn't want to hear it. "You're going to prison," Dante promised. When Sonny saw Claire, he told her to "come and get me." She noted that putting him behind bars will make her career. Diane blasted Carly for compromising herself and tainting any future testimony, adding that Claire is a barracuda, and the whole case could hinge in one thing.... Claire spotted Dante with Lulu, and asked to speak with him alone. She put him through a mock direct examination, in which he held to his story that he shot himself. She wondered how far he will go "to protect daddy?" Carly told Sonny she's willing to lie for him. Jax burst in and told him he shouldn't ask Carly to commit perjury for him.
Pinned down by gunfire on the waterfront, Ethan pointed out Johnny was reckless to hijack Sonny's shipment without a plan. When Ethan balked at handling a gun, Johnny knocked some crates on the Corinthos guys so they could escape. Later, Jason went to the docks and determined that only one thing was stolen from the shipment: a box of cigars. Ethan delivered Luke's precious cigars to his father. Johnny suggested they team up to destroy Sonny, but Ethan didn't fancy becoming a target. Jason arrived to ask if anyone knows anything about stolen cigars.
At Jake's, Patrick told Lisa that Robin's HIV has compelled them to be more open and honest, but it's also a barrier between her present with him and her past. Lisa ordered a pitcher, and invited Coleman to join them for darts. Patrick beat them both, but wanted a rematch — loser does an "up and over." She lost, and had lay prone while Patrick poured a shot in her mouth — a sexy maneuver Robin witnessed.
Later, Luke asked Lucky to get his cigar contact, Carlos, sprung. Lucky revealed he is going to be honest with Elizabeth. Meanwhile, Nikolas returned to Shadybrook, where Liz told him that even if the baby is his, they won't be together. Lucky showed up to ushered his brother out. Lucky told Elizabeth, "We don't have a future." He had only told her what she needed to hear to keep her from jumping off that roof. The damage to their relationship is "beyond repair." She informed him she has decided to take the paternity test tomorrow.
Tuesday
At Shadybrook, Elizabeth declared she wanted to take the paternity test tomorrow. Nikolas was cool with that, but Lucky worried about her state of mind, and argued against it. Elizabeth consulted Lainey, and decided she really needs to know who's the father of her baby, so she's having the test. In the corridor, Lucky admitted it's impossible to cut Nik out of his life, so they will have to learn to coexist. After they left, Helena entered the sleeping Liz's room and chortled over the prospect of proving she's carrying the Cassadine heir.
Johnny told Jason he's stealing Corinthos shipments because Sonny needs to pay for Claudia — and his trial will be a sham. Jason warned him to back off. Johnny asked Ethan to come aboard as a 50/50 partner, and Ethan agreed to think it over. Luke cautioned if something looks too good to be true... Later, Jason visited Luke to tell him Johnny is banking on Ethan's connection to Luke to shield them both. Jason asked Luke to take Ethan out of the equation.
Back in the courtroom, Claire warned Dante not to lie for his father. He noted that would be a mortal sin. Lulu arrived and assured Claire that Dante is on her side. After Claire left, Lulu put Dante on the stand, and quizzed him: "Has the witness ever been in love?" He answered, "Once." And they kissed. They returned to Dante's room, where he mused about everything that has changed lately. Except his feelings for her. They started kissing, but Lulu stopped it out of concern for his condition. He convinced her to to give it a try. She set the mood with candles and undressed — but Dante had already passed out.
Carly told Jax that if she lies on the stand, she would be cleaning up the mess Jax made. Sonny called Jax a coward for trying to strike at him by endangering Michael. Sonny told Carly she should "dump this son of a bitch" so he can "put an end to all of this." Carly pointed out this is not the time for threats. On his way out, Jax told Carly this proves he made the right choice by cooperating with the police. Jax went to Metro Court, where he met up with Claire, who chided him for not filling in all the details about Carly. Carly rolled up and bickered with Claire before the fed fled. Carly had the restaurant cleared — and jumped Jax's bones. Afterward, he hoped she will one day understand why he doing what he's doing. She wanted to remind him of what they have — and what he's risking. When Michael returned from Buffalo (with Max), Sonny recapped the hearing. Sonny talked about how he originally didn't want kids — until Michael came into his life. He learned everything about being a father from Michael, and feels he owes it to Michael to stand trial.
Lisa clambered onto the bar at Jake's and then fell into Patrick's arms. He noticed Robin watching. Patrick pulled his wife aside and they talked about her connection to Sonny (and Stone) and her loyalty to him, and then kissed. From the bar, Lisa lamented that Patrick always turns domestic when Robin is around.
At the lake house, Molly noticed that Kristina has a ton of unread messages from Kiefer. K insisted she needs time away from him. Egged on by romantic poetry, Molly urged her to give Kiefer another chance, calling him "passionate." On cue, Kiefer knocked. Kristina didn't want to let him in, but Molly's bleatings compelled her to talk to him on the porch. "I thought we loved each other," he said. K said she needs to be alone to think. He admitted that he hurt her, and is afraid of losing her "because I love you too much." He vowed to kill himself before hurting her again, and asked her to start over. "I believe in you," she sighed.
Wednesday
Robin visited Sonny, and told him it's tough to understand why he shot an unarmed cop, but she knows it's eating away at him because she knows the real Sonny — underneath the mobster "facade." He said it's hard to get it straight in his head that he shot a "rat" who turned out to be his son. Not shooting was not an option, because there are "rules." He said he understands if she needs to distance herself from him.
At Shadybrook, Elizabeth asked Lucky not to be at the hospital for the paternity test. He agreed, then left. Then she told Nik the same, and he agreed. Lucky went to The Haunted Star to tell Luke "the odds favor Nikolas." Luke asked, "What if the kid is yours?" Lucky promised he wouldn't ask Liz to marry him again, asserting, "There's no future for me and Elizabeth." Robin appeared at Shadybrook and offered to drive Liz to her paternity test. Liz confided all she wants a healthy, functioning family. She explained that Nik wants to marry her, but she doesn't know how to stop being in love with Lucky. Meanwhile, Helena was at G.H., slipping an envelope of cash to a lab technician. He went to the Hub and collected Nikolas' DNA sample from Epiphany. Later, Robin arrived with Elizabeth. At Wyndemere, Alexis warned Nikolas that it's too soon to set up a trust for Elizabeth's child, but he was determined.
When Dante awoke in his room, he was disappointed to learn he fell asleep instead of making love with Lulu (who slept in a chair). After she fetched coffee they started kissing again — and then his mother burst in, expressing concern that it's too soon for him to have sex. Lulu agreed, and insisted on leaving. Liv wanted to talk, but Dante turned her away, barking, "I don't trust you." She was hurt by that. "You're not who I thought you were," he declared. Later, Dante went to The Star, looking for Lulu, but found Lucky. Dante asked him how he feels about working with Sonny Corinthos' son. Lucky said he has confidence Dante is a good cop. Lucky received a call about a break-in, and left.
Johnny stopped by The Star to ask Ethan for help torching Bernie's office, in order to destroy Sonny's business records. He just needs Ethan to charm the assistant, Jennifer, out of the office to earn a 50/50 split. Later, Olivia caught up with Johnny. When he told her he had work to do, she admitted she can't stop him from talking Sonny down, but doesn't want to be a part of it.
Kiefer met Kristina for breakfast at Kelly's and told her he wants to take her clubbing later, so she should "wear something hot for a change." She said the only person her wardrobe has to please is her. Sonny walked up and told Kiefer to leave. But K said she wants Kiefer to stay and her father to leave. Sonny demanded she respect him, so she asked him to sit. He got frustrated by sniping, but before he left, he promised he's not backing away from being her father. Ethan entered with Jennifer, Bernie's bombshell assistant. Kristina stared daggers at Ethan, dolled herself up, and interrupted them. Ethan took her aside to remind her, "You're way too young for me." Patrick went to Sonny's place to admit he's known for several months that Dante is Sonny's son. Sonny blamed Dante's shooting on Patrick, noting, "I screwed up" because other people kept the truth from him. Patrick scoffed at his blame-shifting.
Somebody in a Bill Clinton mask cut alarm wires at a waterfront building.
As Liz prepared for her test, Lucky got the drop on "Bill," who ran off. Lucky gave chase as Nik signed the trust papers. On a rooftop, Lucky cornered "Bill" — who fired on him!
Thursday
After the paternity test, Elizabeth told Robin she is looking forward to knowing the truth. Liz confessed the visit from Cam and Jake made her feel like a bad mom. Robin passed along some drawings from the boys. Alexis warned Nikolas that establishing trusts for Spencer and Elizabeth's baby will make them targets for Helena. He scoffed that Helena doesn't need such excuses — and perhaps independent wealth will shield them from her. Alexis pointed out the move won't endear him to Elizabeth. He told her that Lucky declared it was over with Liz, and what Nik feels for her is "real." Nik insisted his feelings won't change if Lucky is the father. He cited Alexis and Sonny as an example of peaceful co-existence, but she countered with herself and Ric. Nikolas next went to the hospital for a board meeting, where Epiphany reported Robin took Liz back to Shadybrook. Robin said Liz is doing fine, she just wants to know who the father is. In a G.H. conference room, Helena arranged with the lab tech to get the paternity-test results first; she will then decide what Elizabeth and Lucky get to know. Nikolas was just about the enter the conference room, but opted to speak with Lisa in the corridor. She reported that she sent the samples to an independent lab, just as she arranged with him. Alexis visited Elizabeth to tell her Nikolas has set aside "substantial assets" to care for her baby. Liz reiterated that she doesn't want a future with Nikolas.
The man in the Bill Clinton mask exchanged shots with Lucky and then leaped off roof. Lucky returned to PCPD and told Dante he's sure he was chasing Johnny, because the attempted break-in was at Bernie's office. Dante suggested that having Johnny gunning for Sonny's organization balances the playing field. Lucky and Dante agreed that Sonny has to be stopped. Just then Ronnie appeared with word that the three of them have been assigned to a new federal task force to stamp out the mob in Port Charles. Ronnie worried that Dante might not be trustworthy, but Dante insisted on going after Sonny by the book. Lucky warned Jason to let the police handle Johnny.
At Metro Court, Carly thought she was reconnecting to Jax, but he didn't quite see it that way. Until they started bonding over photos from Josslyn's christening. He suggested they all belong together as a family, and admitted he admires how she fights for people she loves. He wants to fight with her, not against her. She softened — until she realized that he doesn't regret setting Sonny up. She scolded him, and he reiterated that locking up Sonny was best for the family. He reminded her about the anguish of Michael's coma. She accused him of indulging his hatred for Sonny. He asked how she could live with herself if something else happens to one of her kids because of Sonny. He stormed out. She knocked over the photos — and was distressed by what she saw.
Maxie was preparing for a date with Spinelli at Jake's when Johnny limped in. Spinelli arrived late, explaining he was delayed by the attempted break-in. As he noticed Johnny, he noted that the would-be thief leaped from a roof to escape. After Coleman reminded Johnny that Jake's is neutral territory, Ethan showed up, looking for his cut. Johnny explained he didn't get any dough, but Sonny will be scrambling now. Ethan decided to get back to his date with Jennifer. Meanwhile, Maxie admitted she admires Johnny for going after Sonny solo. Spinelli once again began to feel that Maxie is smitten with dark and dangerous men of action. She assured him that a jackal is plenty dark and dangerous. Someone suddenly appeared at the bar, wearing a Bull Clinton mask.
Jason returned to the penthouse to find Claire waiting with a warning: She is calling him to testify at Sonny's trial. Later, Carly arrived with the distressing photograph: Franco was at Josslyn's christening!
Friday
Lucky removed the Bill Clinton mask and warned Johnny he could be arrested for shooting at a cop. Johnny pleaded ignorance. Lucky warned him not to provoke a mob war — or get his brother, Ethan involved. Meanwhile, Maxie explained to Spinelli that Johnny and Lucky both have self-destructive tendencies. When a biker bumped into Maxie by mistake, an enraged Spinelli challenged him, but Maxie defused the situation.
Carly read the message accompanying Franco's photo to Jason: "What's taking so long? Kill soon, or I'll have to kill first." Jason assured Carly that Franco was after him, not her family. Jason realized Franco wants him to make a mistake. At Carly's urging, Jason agreed to focus on Sonny. He summoned Spinelli to the penthouse to look into the Franco threat. Spinelli admitted he wants revenge on Franco to prove himself to Maxie, but Jason quashed that. Stone Cold suggested the Jackal use his brain to design computer software. Spinelli was inspired. Next, Lucky reminded Jason to avoid letting Johnny start a gang war. "I can't make any promises," Jason snarled. Lucky begged him to wait — until Sonny goes to prison. When Maxie returned to the penthouse, Spinelli told her that he may be on the trail of a serial-murderer, and he needs her help.
At PCPD, Claire vowed to put Sonny behind bars "with your son's help, of course." Sonny brushed her off and tried to focus on Dante. Sonny said the trial is a chance to prove his love is "unconditional." He declared that Dante will always be under his protection. Sonny then went to The Haunted Star, where Luke told him that his family is now in danger because Luke vouched for Sonny with Joey Limbo — who ended up dead. Knowing what Ethan is up to, Luke made Sonny vow that no matter what Ethan does, Sonny won't let any harm come to him. Sonny said Dante, Lulu and Ethan are all under his protection. Back at PCPD, Claire warned Dante that Sonny can be very effective on the stand, and the case might not be a slam-dunk. Dante accidentally mentioned that Michael confessed to the killing, and Claire saw and opportunity to break Michael on the stand. Dante hated the idea of his brother being exploited.
Alexis arrived at Diane's law firm, only to discover the place is undergoing renovations, so she has to share a desk with Diane. For her part, Diane was psyched to be teaming up with Alexis; however, the office rules bar food and personal knick-knacks. So Alexis promptly pulled out a baloney sandwich and a framed photo. When Nikolas stopped by, Alexis reported that Elizabeth was not impressed with the trust fund. Alexis pointed out Nik barely pays attention to Spencer, so why does he want another kid? He vowed to become a better father. After he left, Diane told her to bill her nephew for that conversation, noting, if Sonny gets locked up, his gravy train stops.
Carly visited Michael, who was going stir-crazy at Sonny's. He railed against his father going to prison and her lying because of what he did. Carly reminded him, "I'm a world-class liar!" Steve visited Elizabeth at Shadybrook, where she announced that no matter who's the father, she's going to raise her kids on her own. He wondered if she can pull it off. He pointed out that Cam and Jake spend time in day care or with Gram, and urged her to get help from her child's father. Lucky visited the Star to ask Ethan if he has a green card. He suggested Australia is safer that Port Charles during a mob war, and tried to arrest him on immigration charges, but Luke intervened.
At the garage, Jason shot Johnny — with paintball. Dante visited Michael and they argued about how good a father Sonny is. Sonny tried to throw Dante out, and Dante wondered if Sonny feared he would uncover "the deep, dark truth." Then he smiled, "Maybe I already know."
