Monday
Sonny told Luke that Johnny "has to die" in a car bomb for treating Kristina like a slut. Luke pointed out that Hernando Rivera felt the same way about Sonny — and that car bomb took out Lily, so how will Sonny keep Kristina safe? Sonny insisted he had Krissy under control, and Luke should to keep Ethan away from Johnny on Friday night. Luke pointed out that Anthony will lash out at any of Sonny's kids, but trusted that Sonny will keep the children of them both safe.
Kristina burst in on Johnny and Olivia making love and asked him whom he really wants to spend the night with: "Her or me?" Olivia was sure the two of them were just putting on a show for Sonny. Krissy said Liv is trying to distract Johnny because she's still in love with Sonny. Olivia's instinct was to mother Kristina, and point out how guilty she will feel if somebody dies. Kristina agreed to leave, but vowed to return. After she left, Johnny asked if Liv really did sleep with him to protect Sonny. She wondered how they got to the point of believing the worst about each other. She asked, "Why is bringing down Sonny more important than being with me?" He claimed he's No. 3 with her — behind Dante and Sonny. She suggested the best revenge against Sonny is building a happy life outside he mob. He noted he made a promise to himself and to Claudia to destroy Sonny. "I can't watch," Olivia sobbed, and left.
Lulu wondered why Brook wants Dante to reconcile with Sonny, the man who shot him? Brook wanted her cousin Michael to be happy with his father and brothers. After she left, Lulu apologized for trashing Sonny, and praised Dante as a positive role model. Michael said Sonny will never stop loving Dante. Lulu went to Sonny and told him about Dante's deal to get Jason sprung. And she asked him to keep Jason from running. Sonny agreed — provided Lulu stop talking him down to his kids. Including Dante. In Pentonville, Jason told Dante he needs a gun — or the deal's off. He was suspicious of being set up to be killed by Franco, just to make Dante look good. Dante was worried that Jason would kill Franco and turn the gun on him. Jason next summoned Claire to demand a gun. She refused, even though she would love for him to kill Franco. Lulu returned to Dante's, and then Dante arrived returned and announced that Jason will be released tomorrow. She revealed she asked Sonny to make sure Jason doesn't run. Incredulous that she would go to Sonny, Dante insisted he's willing to chance Jason running. Lulu pointed out that he's also risking her life, too. Lulu went to the docks, where she ran into Olivia and blasted her son for being stubborn. Liv noted she learned long ago to pick her battles with Dante. Lulu told her that Franco's back. Sonny visited Jason and asked him not to run. Jason was furious that Sonny is taking Dante's side. Sonny pointed out that if he runs, Michael might go back to prison. Back at the loft, Michael said Jason will always see Dante as the man who put Michael in Pentonville.
Patrick came into G.H. to get his hand looked at after slamming it in Emma's toy chest. Steve fixed him up. Patrick went to Jake's, where Lisa found him drinking and trying to play pool with his bandaged hand. He predicted she would only last a month or two with Steve. Brook came in, asking about Johnny. Lisa challenged Patrick to a game, with the stakes being a dance. He said he doesn't need to win a game to dance with her. She got offended and left. On cue, Johnny arrived and picked up Patrick's game. Brook grabbed a cue and joined him. Patrick followed Lisa to her place. She said she never imagined he would settle down. He told her to shut up. "Make me," she challenged. So he kissed her.
Tuesday
At Lisa’s apartment, Patrick pulled himself out of his kiss with Lisa,
saying, “I can’t do this.” Lisa pointed out that he came there to see her,
and called him, “A son of a bitch.” Lisa made it clear that she was no
home-wrecker. Patrick then accused her of using Steven to make him jealous.
“You don’t want me but you don't want anybody else to have me either,” she
huffed, ordering him to leave.
On the docks, Olivia tried to advise Lulu on how to deal with Dante’s
stubbornness. She stated that she could fight with Dante or stand by her
man.
At the restaurant, Lucky came to see Sonny and tried to talk to him about
doing what was best for Michael. Lucky reminded Sonny of Jason’s decision to
stay away from Jake to give his son a better life. Lucky also pointed out
that sons need to carve a life for themselves outside of their father’s
shadow, then left. Sonny then called Luke to see if Lucky knew about the
impending hit on Johnny. Luke said he didn't say anything; he just doesn't
want to see Ethan get hurt.
At G.H., Elizabeth mentioned to Steven and Epiphany that she had a new
design book for Shirley. They, in turn, broke the news to Liz that Shirley's
cancer had spread to her brain. Liz told Steven that she’s a professional
and went to see Shirley, who said it was time for them to face the facts.
Ethan showed up with cigars for Luke, who complained that they weren't
Cuban. Ethan pointed out that Tracy’s money was what funded Luke’s cigar
runs. Luke then told Ethan that he had a mission for them in Monte Carlo.
Ethan was hesitant, as he planned on working with Johnny. Ethan’s phone rang
and Ethan raced out. “I’ll visit you,” Ethan said on his way out the door.
Ethan arrived at Johnny’s penthouse, which was empty. Just then, there was a
knock on the door. It was Maya. She admitted she’s been thinking a lot about
Ethan. They had some wine and Johnny entered and interrupted. Johnny went
along with Ethan’s ruse but managed to convince Ethan to come clean. Maya
was not surprised and stormed out.
On the docks, Lucky ran into Maxie, who was worried about Franco coming back
to town. Lucky tried to calm her down. She admitted that a part of her liked
Franco ‹ before she found out he was a homicidal maniac, of course. She then
wondered why she couldn't be happy with a good guy like Spinelli. “Maybe I'm
just damaged,” Maxie stated. “We’re all damaged,” Lucky replied.
Kate returned from Milan and was hoping to coax Coleman into closing early
but he insisted he needed the money and kept the bar open. Patrick sat at
the bar and was joined by Steven. Patrick apologized again for hitting his
boss and bought him a beer. Shortly afterward, a flirty Olivia came in and
after a few shots of tequila, Kate told Olivia to back off her man. The
women then got into an argument and Patrick and Steven had to separate them.
Brook Lynn watched in amusement from across the bar.
At the loft, Michael reminded Dante that if his brother gave up his badge
over working with Jason to find Franco, then Michael would be heading back
to Pentonville. The subject then turned to Lulu, and Dante regretted their
earlier argument. Just then, Lulu returned, and Michael bid a hasty exit.
“I’m sorry,” Lulu blurted. Dante says he never wants Lulu to stifle what
she’s feeling. They kissed passionately and made love.
Michael met Kristina on the docks. The topic came to Sonny and Michael told
his sister no matter how much she resents Sonny, she still loves their
father. Kristina was still angry with the way Sonny treated Claudia.
Kristina told her brother that she planned to spend the night at Johnny’s on
Friday night.... Alexis met with Sonny to discuss Kristina. Sonny suggested
a family dinner. Alexis wondered if he had an ulterior motive. Sonny played
innocent and Alexis agreed to host the dinner Friday night.... Lucky
returned home and Luke spilled that Sonny was going after Johnny Friday
night, and he feared for Ethan’s life.... Max and Milo discussed Sonny’s
plans for the car bomb on Friday night. Milo was worried that an innocent
person could get hurt.
Wednesday
A sour Dante showed up at Pentonville to have Jason released. Dante was still wary of trusting Morgan, and the feeling was definitely mutual.
At his apartment, Lucky caught Luke packing to leave. Lucky said his dad could stay but Luke admitted that he wanted to give Tracy a chance to miss him. Luke gave his son some fatherly advice before hitting the road and the men hugged. Lucky took off and Ethan stopped by. Ethan again turned down Luke's offer for the scam in Monte Carlo. Luke then made Ethan promise to make a delivery for him Friday night. Ethan agreed, unaware Luke just saved his son's life. Lulu arrived and bid his daughter farewell. Lucky returned and Luke told the kids that after Zurich, he wasn't sure where he was headed. He told the kids they'd be fine if they followed their instincts. They all hugged good-bye and after Luke left, Lucky stated, "$100 bucks says that love isn't the only reason Dad's leaving town." Shortly thereafter, Tracy showed up and announced that Luke stole 10 million dollars of her money and she demanded to know where he was.
At G.H., Elizabeth and Steven discussed Shirley's case. Lisa suggested Patrick for the risky operation, but pointed out that he's still on suspension. Steven was concerned that even if Shirley had the surgery, it might not save her life. Shortly thereafter, Patrick returned to work. Liz visited Shirley and she apologized for butting into Liz's love life. Just then, Nikolas stopped by with a gift for Shirley. She was touched. Liz took Nik in the hall and told him about Shirley situation. Nikolas volunteered to pay for the operation, since Shirley's health insurance wouldn't cover it. Liz was extremely grateful.
Diane passed a homeless man in an alley carrying a sign that said, "Will entertain for food." Diane said she had no spare change and he reached into his jacket. Franco pulled out a "monkey with cymbals" toy. Diane gave the man some money and some gum and headed on her way. The homeless man stood up, spray painted something on the wall and walked off.
Lulu stopped by the penthouse and found Spinelli upbeat and cleaning. She pleaded for his help in asking Jason not to double-cross Dante. Spinelli made no promises. Maxie stopped by to go to lunch but Spinelli said he needed to get groceries for Jason's return.
At the PCPD, Diane arrived and chided Claire for not inviting her to the press conference involving Jason's release. During her speech, Diane constantly interrupted Claire to correct her verbiage. Then, Dante brought Jason into the squad room. The press went nuts. Afterward, an angry Claire fumed that the participants hadn't followed her lead. After cooling off, Claire briefed Jason and Dante, saying that Franco and Carter were former cellmates, and Claire warned Jason that he is not to kill Franco, just lure him out of hiding. Alone with Diane, Jason asked what would happen to Michael if he fled.
Matt met Maxie on the docks with a single rose. She was not impressed, then mentioned that Spinelli seems to be back to his old self. Matt got up, saying if she didn't need him anymore, he was moving on. Maxie suggested they go out one more time.
Sam arrived at the penthouse just before Jason walked in. They had an emotional reunion but we quickly realized that Sam was fantasizing. Then, Spinelli entered with food to cook a gourmet meal for Stone Cold. Sam was hoping to have Jason to herself but didn't say anything to the eager Jackal. Spinelli had his own fantasy of Jason's return, in which the boss admitted he couldn't find Franco without the Jackal's help. Just then, there was a knock at the door. Spinelli opened it, and was stunned.
Patrick visited with Shirley and they discussed the risky procedure. Shirley told Patrick to go for it. Patrick and Lisa scrubbed in, while Liz and Shirley exchanged tender thoughts.
The homeless man watched Jason and Dante enter The Harbor View Towers to head to the penthouse. Upstairs, Jason and Dante walked into the penthouse to find Ronnie with a slew of uniformed officers. "Welcome home," Ronnie smiled. Downstairs, the doorman shooed off the homeless man outside. The homeless man lifted his hood. It was Franco.
Thursday
In Sonny's office, Sonny gave Max and Milo their final instructions for the car bomb. Meanwhile, Johnny entered the restaurant and ordered dinner. Sonny walked out to see Johnny eating in his establishment. The enemies smiled at each other. After Johnny made some remarks about Kristina, Sonny dumped Johnny's pasta in his lap. Johnny got up and walked out, stating, "This isn't over." Afterward, Olivia arrived and told Sonny that Kristina and Johnny were just acting to make Sonny upset. Sonny said he's aware of his daughter's issues and was attempting to rectify that by having dinner with her and the family. Olivia was impressed.
Franco quizzed the doorman at Jason's building about Jason's activities. The doorman went inside to call the police, while Maxie approached. A couple walking by distracted Maxie and suddenly, the homeless man was gone. Carly arrived to see Jason, and the two women went upstairs.
In the penthouse, Dante was furious to see Ronnie and his fellow cops, and reminded Ronnie that Jason was released into his custody. Jason told them all that their squabbling would irritate Franco. Carly and Maxie arrived and Maxie gave the cops an earful. Ronnie agreed to take the uniformed officers outside to check the area for signs of Franco. Maxie left to go back to work, and kissed Spinelli on the cheek. On the terrace, Jason advised Carly to end her plan for revenge against Dante and Lulu. "I don't want to," she replied. Carly left and Jason told Spinelli to get cracking. Dante didn't want to know anything illegal, so he headed back to his apartment. On his way out, he pulled his gun on a homeless man.
The Spencer kids tried to convince Tracy that Luke's love for her is real. Tracy said she wants Luke back, all right. She wants him in jail for theft. Lulu asked to speak to Tracy alone. In the hall, Ethan mentioned the Monte Carlo scam and Lucky told his brother that was Luke's way of protecting him from something. Inside, the women shared a warm connection but Lulu was unnerved when Tracy warned her about making too many compromises for the man she loved.
At the lake house, Alexis told Kristina about her plans for a family dinner. Kristina said she'd be late because she had a SAT prep class. Later, as they set the table, Molly reluctantly went along with Kristina's request to cover for her when she sneaked out. Michael and Sam arrived for dinner. Sam and Molly were worried about Michael's sullen attitude. Just then, Sonny arrived and gave Michael a hug. Kristina was surprisingly pleasant to Sonny, though Michael was suspicious. Kristina excused herself to go freshen up. As the family chatted in the living room, Kristina sneaked out.
In the O.R., as Drs. Drake and Niles operated on Shirley, Lisa was impressed with Patrick's technique. Lisa told Patrick that the cancer was too advanced and he wouldn't be able to get all of it. Patrick refused to accept that as an answer. Happily, the operation was a success. Patrick and Lisa decided to go out for drinks afterward to celebrate.
At the hub, Elizabeth fretted with Steven while Patrick and Lisa operated on Shirley. Nikolas arrived, and she and Nik shared a warm moment. Of course Lucky arrived just in time to witness it. Steven then walked over to share the news that Shirley's surgery was a success. Liz was thrilled.
Johnny went home and Ethan broke the news that because he had an errand to run for Luke, he couldn't accompany him to the meeting. Johnny told Ethan he was either in or out. Ethan said he'd join Johnny the next time. Later, Johnny went out, parked his car and met Olivia. Then, Max stepped out of the shadows with a bomb specialist.
Friday
At the lake house, Molly's stories entertained the family prior to dinner,
until Michael's prison recollections brought down the mood. Sonny noticed
that Kristina had been in her room for a long time. Alexis said that
Kristina had a SAT prep class to attend but she shouldn't be long. Sonny
wanted to go and pick her up but Alexis advised Sonny to give their daughter
space. Sam suspected that Molly knew something and confronted her little
sis.
In the parking garage, Max watched the bomb specialist attach the explosives
to Johnny's car. Afterward, Max called Sonny and said, "It's ready to go.
Johnny dies tonight."
Spinelli told Jason that he found Franco's mother. She had changed her name
from Karen Frank to Karen Anderson and traded in Bensonhurst for Woodstock.
It appeared that she had no contact with her son but Jason thought it was
worth a visit. Spinelli reminded Jason that he needed to check in with
Dante.
Dante confronted the homeless man outside Jason's place. The man ran and
Dante gave chase. He caught up with the guy but it wasn't Franco. Dante let
him go and checked in with Ronnie. Ronnie still believed that Jason was
planning to escape.
At Metro Court, Patrick and Lisa toasted to their success, and to each other - professionally speaking, of course. They continued to indulge and both got
drunk. Patrick offered to walk her home; Lisa accepted. Once they arrived,
Lisa said, "You should probably leave." "Yeah, I should," Patrick smiled.
Then, Patrick kissed her, and Lisa pulled him into the apartment.
At Crimson, Maxie received a dozen roses, with no card attached. Maxie
figured they must be from Matt. Then, another dozen were delivered. Matt
stopped by later, but they weren't from him. Maxie didn't believe Matt at
first but he swore he didn't send them. Matt asked Maxie what she really
wanted. As they talked, yet another dozen roses came.
At G.H., Elizabeth sat by Shirley's bedside. Nikolas joined her, and Liz
thanked Nik for paying for Shirley's surgery. Liz said that Shirley made her
realize she has to show more gratitude for the things she has in her life.
Liz stated that she was so happy to have met Shirley and so thankful for the
positive effect the woman had on her life. Nikolas was happy they were
having a normal conversation again. Nik advised Liz to go home and get some
rest and he'd stay with Shirley. She agreed, and thanked him.
Dante entered the penthouse and Jason shared the lead about Franco's mom.
Dante wasn't pleased at how Spinelli got the info. After a heated
discussion, Dante agreed to go with Jason to investigate. Later, Lulu
stopped by the penthouse and Spinelli filled her in about Jason and Dante's
mission. Lulu spilled about the flowers but Spinelli said he didn't send
them.
At Johnny's penthouse, he and Olivia shared a toast to finding their way
back to each other. Olivia shared that she told Sonny about Johnny and
Krissy's act. Johnny barked at Liv to stop playing peacemaker. He added that
he wanted Krissy to stop playing games. Just then, Kristina showed up at
Johnny's door. "Miss me?" she asked. Kristina refused to listen to Olivia,
so Johnny asked to speak to her alone. Kristina was insistent that she spend
the night to send Sonny over the edge but Johnny retorted that no matter
what Krissy says, she still wants her father in her life. Johnny warned
Krissy not to go down the same path Claudia did. Johnny said that if she
trusted him, she'd end this plan now. Krissy started to cry and agreed.
At the lake house, Molly spilled that Kristina was with Johnny and Sonny
raced out. Sonny called Max but he said that the bomb couldn't be
dismantled.... Johnny and Kristina walked to the car. Kristina admitted that
she was relieved their ruse was over. Johnny hit the open button on his
keychain and his car exploded, just as Sonny arrived on the scene.... Jason
and Dante showed up at Karen Anderson's cottage asking about her son. She
claimed that she had no son.... Maxie, now alone at the office, was working
late when another set of roses arrived, but this time, the delivery man was
Franco.
