GH Week of June 15, 2009
Monday
Carly apologized for snapping at Jason, stating that she was just nervous about Michael. Jason said that Carly needs to give her son a little bit of space, which Carly admitted would not be easy for her to do.
On their joyride, Kristina swerved in time to avoid another car but as Michael pointed out, she was still endangering their lives by driving without a licensed driver in the car.
Johnny entered Jake's for a drink, and Coleman announced his plans to spruce up the joint to draw in more customers. He unveiled a piano, and Johnny sat down and played something classical. Coleman was awed but asked Johnny to pick up the tempo. Alexis entered and was impressed with the musical
selection, and even moreso by Coleman's taste in pinot noir. Diane showed up but Alexis wasn't in the mood to talk shoes. She asked Diane to drop the lawsuit against Matt. They discussed the mayor and his "loose zipper." Diane posed that perhaps the mayor might step down and Alexis could take over the job.
At McCall & Jackal, Spinelli was left walking funny after the waxing he endured at the spa to discover that Kate was being blackmailed by her rival, Giselle. He and Maxie were unsure of what their next move should be. As Spinelli pondered where Sam was, a shadowy figure lurked outside the door. After Spinelli then tapped into Kate's financial records, the pair decided to take a break and head over to Jake's for a drink. When Spinelli locked
the door behind them, the shadowy figure returned.
At Sonny's, Claudia chastised Sonny for believing the baby was Ric's and said she was willing to leave his house. Sonny told her to go but, after catching her talking to the baby alone, he lightened up. Just then, Michael arrived and said he wanted to live with his dad. Sonny called Carly to tell her that Michael was okay.
Spinelli and Maxie arrived at Jake's and ordered drinks. After Spinelli downed a shot of scotch, they noticed that Johnny was playing the piano.
Jason went to the Lakehouse, where he confronted Kristina on driving Michael over to Sonny's. When Jason threatened to tell Alexis, Kristina yelled at him, told him to cut her some slack and slammed the door in Jason's face.
Carly showed up at Sonny's, where Claudia and Michael had gone for a walk. Carly told Sonny that they can't let Michael turn the two of them against each other. She insisted that Michael needs "boundaries." On the patio, Claudia was sympathetic to Michael but told him that he needs to be careful. She then instructed him on how to play people to get what he wants. Michael stated how angry he was at losing part of his life and declared that he needs to live twice as hard now to make up for lost time. After they entered, Michael was not happy to hear Sonny say that he should live with his mother. Michael was surprised further when Claudia agreed.
When Sam caught the shadowy figure in their P.I. offices, he attacked her. Jason burst in and knocked the guy out. Sam then revealed that the thug was really an undercover cop and she was in way over her head with a case.
At The Haunted Star, Rebecca showed up to play some Texas Hold 'Em, but Luke wasn't around. Rebecca told Ethan that Nikolas has been avoiding her since he learned she's Emily sister. Just then, Nik showed up. Rebecca covered and invited him to play some blackjack with her. Ethan agreed to act as dealer.
At G.H., Robin and Patrick discussed Brianna's case and each felt partly responsible for what happened. Patrick thanked Robin for listening to him. Meanwhile, Matt showed up at Jake's and started drinking. As Diane and Alexis gossiped about Matt, he spotted Maxie with Spinelli, strutted over and claimed that she owed him a date and he was collecting tonight. When Spinelli defended Maxie's honor, Matt punched Spinelli. Johnny got into the fray after Matt punched him, too. When Johnny slammed Matt into the bar, Coleman called Patrick and told him he'd better come by to pick up what's left of his brother.
Tuesday
At Jake's, Alexis and Diane watched Johnny go after a drunken,
troublemaking Matt. Coleman broke it up, but then Matt threw a mug at Zacchara. Olivia arrived and kept Johnny from launching another attack, while Coleman tried to talk some sense into Matt. Meanwhile, Maxie iced Spinelli's chin. After more taunting, Johnny got in another punch against Matt. Across the room, Diane kept a timeline of Matt's behavior and wondered if he could have been drunk when he performed Brianna's surgery. Patrick and
Robin arrived, but couldn't pull Matt out of the bar. Then, Matt publicly proclaimed his innocence. As Spinelli thanked Johnny for his assistance, Patrick apologized to Matt for letting him do the surgery alone; Diane eavesdropped. "It's my fault," Patrick declared, perking up Diane's ears. "You might want to take it down a notch," Coleman whispered. Alexis seconded the sentiment.
After Jason rescued Sam from being attacked by the undercover cop, Jason confided he's worried about Michael. He detailed Michael's outbursts and worried that the boy was falling apart and would soon do something that he couldn't take back. Jason then filled in Sam about Kristina's bad behavior, regarding the joint and the joy-riding. "I will handle her," stated Sam, who then reassured Jason that he'd be able to reach Michael.
At Sonny's, Michael wasn't happy that he couldn't stay at his father's house. Michael stuck up for Claudia, then apologized for pushing Carly earlier. Michael also admitted he was afraid that he might hurt Carly and the baby, and suggested he try living at Sonny's for two weeks. Sonny said no and tried to make his son see that they all just wanted what was best for him.
At The Haunted Star, Nikolas told Rebecca that after discovering she and Emily were sisters, he feels as if he's betraying Emily's memory. Rebecca admitted it's been weird for her, too. She told Nikolas that she was developing feelings for him and he said that it was reciprocal. Ethan interjected that it was creepy falling for a true love's twin. "This card game's over," Rebecca noted. Nik wanted to hear what Ethan had to say. Ethan stated his ups and downs with Luke and said he couldn't imagine what Nik must be going through. Rebecca then scowled at Ethan.
Kristina showed up at Carly's house to find Jax, who told her that Michael wasn't home yet. Jax asked Kristina for her opinion of how Michael was holding up. As they chatted, Carly came home with Michael. He asked if he and Kristina could go out on the porch. Carly said okay. Alone with Jax, Carly said she's suspicious of Claudia supporting her decision.
Once alone again, Claudia told Sonny that she's tired of his second
guessing about Ric. Just then, Ric knocked at the door. After they both groaned, Ric countered with, "You'll want to hear what I have to say." Ric then stated that after what happened with Michael, there was no way in hell that he'd let Sonny raise his child. Ric left and an angry Claudia declared Ric and Sonny be damned, she was going to do what was best for her and her baby.
Spinelli and Maxie returned to the office, where they filled in Jason and Sam about the fight at Jake's. When they mentioned Brianna's name, Sam blurted out that she'd been hired by the Mayor's wife, Andrea, to investigate the affair. Sam explained she'd been tailing Brianna and that the thug who broke into the office worked for the mayor. Spinelli suspected that Brianna might have been murdered.
Patrick and Robin brought Matt home with them to sleep it off.... Olivia kissed Johnny's hand to make his boo boo feel better.... Jax told Carly he's fearful of Michael's rages. Carly said she could handle it but Jax had his doubts.... After Nikolas left, Rebecca went to hit Ethan for interfering. Ethan grabbed her fist and pulled her into a kiss.... Diane showed up at Robin and Patrick's and informed Patrick that he was being named as a co-defendant in Matt's malpractice suit.
Wednesday
At G.H., Patrick asked Epiphany for Brianna's file. She said Robin already had it. Robin told Patrick that she was going to help him solve the mystery of what really happened to the Mayor's mistress. They agreed that they needed to start in the shower (where Brianna's accident had occurred). Matt walked into the hospital locker room and found his brother and sister-in-law emulating
sexual positions in the shower and stated, "I can't wait to hear the
explanation for this." They admitted they were looking into Brianna's death. Matt initially got defensive but was grateful for the support. Later, Epiphany asked Robin how her shower was. "I have eyes in the back of my head," Epiphany told the stunned doc.
Maxie informed Spinelli that since Kate's away on a two-week vacation, she was all his. Spinelli was evasive, which piqued Maxie's curiosity. He claimed that he was ensconced with work. Maxie was tickled when Spinelli asked for her help with the Mayor's case. The duo sneaked into the Mayor's office to look for
evidence. Just then, the Mayor entered with Mac, sending the private eyes into hiding. Mac spotted them but kept quiet and made sure the Mayor didn't spot them.
At Wyndemere, Nikolas had a dream where he had a vision of Emily, who pleaded with him to stay away from Rebecca. The dream left Nik shaken up. Elizabeth stopped by for a visit and comforted him. Liz said he needed to grieve for Emily, and then let her go.
After Ethan pulled Rebecca in to a kiss at The Haunted Star, she pushed himoff, slapped him hard and accused him of sabotaging her. Ethan said that he was only saying what Nikolas was thinking and by addressing the issue, he was helping her. Tracy walked in and was suspicious about finding Rebecca with Ethan. He claimed they were talking about a card game, but Tracy didn't buy the story. Rebecca left and Ethan stated he was concerned about Luke, who appeared to be missing. Ethan summoned Lucky and Lulu to the ship and announced that he was very concerned that something happened to their father, but neither they nor Tracy were at all surprised. Tracy then fired Ethan, but Lulu stuck up for him. Tracy informed Lucky and Lulu that she found Ethan with Rebecca when she walked in.
Alexis asked Max to her office to talk about Diane and wanted to know if Max could convince Diane to drop the lawsuit. Max apologized but refused. Just then, Diane interrupted and was surprised to find Max there. "I guess my invitation got lost in the mail," Diane smirked. Alexis tried to cover, as did Max, but Diane saw through the charade and was agitated by Alexis's interference. Max ducked out and Alexis told Diane there was no malpractice
involved in Brianna's death. Diane wanted to know why she was going out of her way to protect the Mayor. Alexis pleaded with Diane to drop the case. Diane responded that when Alexis was ready to talk, she'd listen.
When Nikolas came to see Rebecca at G.H., Epiphany told him that if he continued to disrupt hospital procedure with his presence, she'd take it to the board. "I guess she told me," Nik smiled to Rebecca. Nikolas apologized for walking out on Rebecca earlier. She accepted the apology. Later, they met again at Emily's grave. Rebecca asked Nikolas where she stood with him.
Mac went to G.H. to ask Robin to talk some sense into Maxie and drop her snooping habits. Meanwhile, Maxie and Spinelli made it back to the office and feared what Mac was going to do. Maxie assured Spinelli that she could handle Mac. When Robin came to talk to them, they all compared notes about Brianna's death. Back at home, Patrick received a visit from Andrea Floyd, the mayor's
wife, who asked him to settle the lawsuit.
Thursday
At Emily's grave, Nikolas told Rebecca that he couldn't be with her. Rebecca
got upset because Nikolas had said he valued her as an individual. However,
Nik said the similarities between her and Emily were just too much and asked
to be left alone. A tearful Rebecca told Emily that Nik was hurting and she
was envious of having a man love her so completely. Just then, Monica showed
up. Rebecca confided her dilemma and told Monica she was going to let go of
Nik. "Don't you dare," Monica shot back.
Andrea told Patrick she knew of her husband's affair and tried to convince
Patrick to settle the suit in silence. Patrick said he shouldn't settle
because there was no malpractice. Robin interrupted and almost mentioned
Brianna's name. Patrick introduced the women and Robin made a hasty exit.
Andrea pointed out that settling the case would prevent his family from
getting hurt. She then told Patrick that if he helped her keep the scandal a
secret, she'd make sure to repay the debt.
At home, Michael gave Carly a hard time when she wanted to take him to his
doctor's appointment. He declared that Carly had no faith in him. Michael
took a cab to the hospital. Jax tried to convince Carly to give Michael some
space. He calmed her down and promised to bribe Carly with something
special. That perked Carly up. Jax kissed his wife and said he'd be back
shortly.
Sonny interrupted Johnny and Olivia kissing at the garage, where Johnny was
fixing Olivia's car. Sonny said he had a proposition for Johnny but Johnny
told Sonny that he wasn't going to ask Olivia to leave. Sonny was relentless
so Olivia agreed to leave her car at the shop and take the bus to work.
Sonny informed Johnny that some of Anthony's lieutenants were planning a
mutiny so Sonny asked Johnny to accompany Jason to a meeting with the
renegades to try and settle things.
Patrick told Robin about his chat with Andrea. When they compared notes,
they caught Andrea in a lie. Meanwhile, Andrea met with her philandering
husband and told him that she's in charge now.
Olivia went to Carly's and confided that she's been seeing Johnny and needed
Carly's help. They had a warm girl talk as Olivia recounted how she and
Johnny got together. Then, Olivia said that she feared Sonny might do
something to strike back against Johnny and someone was going to get hurt.
Olivia said Sonny had always had a jealous nature ever since they were kids
but Carly assured her that Sonny wouldn't purposely hurt Johnny. Jax
returned with Carly's bribe and Olivia ducked out. Jax gave Carly a rose
petal bath, complete with jewelry.
While Johnny was playing piano at Jake's, Michael came in, having skipped
his appointment, and ordered a drink. When he claimed he'd "forgotten" his
driver's license, he lorded the fact that his last name was Corinthos.
Johnny challenged Michael to a game of pool. As they played, Johnny told
Michael he was sorry for what happened to him.
Elizabeth went to Lucky with her suspicions about Rebecca cheating on
Nikolas with Ethan. At first, Lucky didn't think there was anything to the
claim but then began to wonder. Meanwhile, Monica went to Wyndemere to see
Nikolas and told him that Emily wouldn't want him to be alone and not use
Em's memory to shut out the world. After Monica left, Nikolas called Rebecca
and told her he needed an honest answer from her.
Kristina and her friend Kiefer came into Jake's, where Kristina flashed her
fake ID. Kiefer made a crack about Michael being brain damaged. Michael
threw the first punch but Kiefer retaliated and Michael hit his head and
fell to the floor.
Jason confronted Claudia about her complicity in Michael's shooting. She
ordered him to get out and went upstairs. When she came back down, Jason was
still there. Sonny burst in and told Claudia that Johnny needs to learn
about respect. Claudia got angry when she realized that Sonny was jealous of
Olivia being with Johnny, then left. Then, Sonny told Jason about the
upcoming meeting and told him not to hesitate to use Johnny as a human shield if
necessary. Claudia went to Johnny's garage and blasted him about Olivia. She
then informed him that the meeting was set up to get rid of Jason
permanently.
Friday
Nikolas prepared a romantic evening for him and Emily, er, Rebecca and was
blown away by the way she looked in a white gown not unlike the one her twin
wore on the night she was killed. He explained that he had it delivered from
Wyndham's just for their date. He proposed a toast to summer nights, which
prompted Rebecca to ask if he and Emily always drank champagne on a summer's
eve in the garden. He noted that they did, but that he can't really separate
her from Emily now that he knows they were related. Rebecca was overwhelmed
as he explained how there are parts of Emily in her and vice versa, but she
was pretty sure she didn't take after Em's ability to waltz. Nik asked her
to let him teach her and reached out his hand.
Claudia insisted to Johnny that she has to have Jason taken out in order to
keep herself safe. Johnny was afraid that the mistaken hit would look
suspicious to Sonny, just as Sonny was ordering Jason to make sure that no
one who's innocent ever takes a bullet because of him. Olivia interrupted
Johnny and Claudia's conversation and traded a few barbs with the vixen.
Olivia wanted to spend the night together, but Johnny told her he had to be
somewhere. She figured out what was really going down when she later
overheard Sonny on a call about the "huge statement" he planned to make that
night. She accused him of planning to have Johnny taken out because he's
sleeping with Olivia. Sonny was amused by her ego but refused to discuss
"business" with her. Claudia walked in as things escalated and made a few
digs at Olivia for being old and slutty. Once Olivia was gone, he and
Claudia began arguing. When he told her to shut up and stay out of his
business, she planted a seductive kiss on him. Pretty soon, they were
violently rolling around on the couch.
Kristina feared that Michael reverted to his coma after her friend Kiefer
pushed him to the floor. Michael suddenly came to and punched the crap out
of the guy, then told Kristina how much fun it was to psyche Kiefer out.
Kristina was furious. Alexis showed up at Jake's and asked the teens what
they were doing there. Michael said he didn't want to go home after physical
therapy, so he just had the cab drop him off where Kristina was hanging out.
Alexis scolded them both for acting inappropriately.
Back at Chez Jacks, Jax tried to talk Carly out of freaking out over
Michael. They started making out when Lulu arrived for a visit. Carly
thanked Lulu for being a good friend to Michael. Lulu caught Carly up on
what's been going on in her life and had to backtrack when she mentioned a
new brother that Carly hadn't heard about. Carly wasn't too thrilled when
Alexis phoned to tattle on Michael. Alexis soon returned Michael to his mom,
who tried to talk to him about being more responsible. Michael flew off the
handle and pushed her away from him, knocking pregnant Carly into the sofa.
Jax had to restrain Michael; Morgan rushed downstairs to witness the
disturbing scene.
Olivia got a call from Dante and assured her concerned son that she's fine.
Lulu dropped in and had an awkward encounter with Olivia, who acknowledged
that Johnny was sorry with how things ended between him and Lulu. Lulu
remarked that there was always something going on with Johnny that prevented
her from getting too close. Olivia was wistful as she said she used to deal
with someone like that, too.
Jason met with Johnny at the garage and gave him one last chance to back out
of the meeting. Johnny wondered if tonight would really change "the
business," but assured Jason that he's still in. Jason admitted to Johnny
that he once tried to walk away from the mob but accepted that his job is to
get rid of people. Johnny and Jason headed to the woods in their bulletproof
vests. Johnny acted as if he'd never set foot in a forest before, asking
about flashlights and bears. As they knelt down behind a bush, Johnny
trained a red laser at Jason's head.
