GH Week of July 19, 2010
Monday
At the hospital, Nikolas and Kelly tried to keep an in-labor Elizabeth calm. Lucky peered through the window of the room and watched. Nik held Liz's hand as she gave birth. Maxie found Lucky and stated that she knew he couldn't stay away. He asked Maxie to butt out. Later, Liz gave birth to a baby boy. Kelly handed him over to the happy parents. Liz asked Nikolas if he had any ideas for a name. They decided on Aidan Cassadine. She joked how Spencer had wanted to call the baby "Buzz Lightyear." Nikolas held the baby and promised to be a good father. Later, Shirley came by to meet the baby and called him a "heartbreaker." They let her hold the tot and shared that his nickname is Buzz.
At the pool, Keifer's father reamed out Kristina and Alexis and accused Kris of lying about Kiefer's abuse. Sonny told him to back off and called Kiefer an animal for hurting Kristina. He then accused Kiefer's dad of having hit Kiefer. He denied ever hitting him, but Sonny didn't believe it and said that he felt bad for Kiefer. Sonny warned that he'd better leave before things got ugly. Kristina bolted and Molly followed her. Alexis asked Sonny not to "help" their daughter by going after Kiefer's dad. Later, Kristina asked Sonny if he really felt sorry for Kiefer. He explained that he can understand where Kiefer's rage came from. Kris acknowledged that though Kiefer did awful things, he wasn't a horrible person. "Neither am I," Sonny reasoned.
Spinelli trashed Dante and Lulu defended her boyfriend. Spin believed that Dante was responsible for Jason's arrest, but Dante insisted that Ronnie had gone behind his back. Claire arrived and Dante told her what had happened. Dante implored her to get Jason out of prison because he needed Jason's help in finding Franco.... In jail, Jason asked to speak with the warden, but the guard refused.... Spin continued to rail against Dante, but Sam didn't believe that he set up Jason. Dante planned to search for Franco, but Lulu didn't like the idea of him going out on his own. He promised that he'd return to her.
Franco watched a tape of himself fighting with Jason and smiled.... Claire visited Jason in jail and chastised him for hiding a gun and getting himself arrested. Jason showed her the photo of steps that he believed was a clue to Franco's whereabouts. She wondered if she should get Jason released and he insisted that they needed his help. Claire got him out of prison. Spin, Dante and Sam were happy to see him out. Jason showed Spinelli the picture of the steps.
Jax and Carly returned to Metro Court after having a great day sailing with the kids. He invited her to join him on the roof to watch the sunset. She agreed. Skye interrupted and asked for help in accessing Lorenzo's accounts. Jax replied that he'd do it later, but Carly told him that he could help Skye right then and left. Skye feigned an apology. Jax followed Carly and asked what was going on. Carly replied that when she spied Michael's ankle monitor, it made her realize what their family had been through. Jax wanted to get past it so they could be a family again. Later, Jax met with Skye to help her get the money.
Maxie went home and tried to drown her problems in ice cream. Soon, Lucky stopped by and apologized for being cold to her earlier. He told her that she was right about not entirely being over Liz. He then gave Maxie a peace offering: sugar cookies. Lucky didn't think that they should get involved, but wanted to remain friends.... Kelly allowed Aidan to stay in the hospital with Liz and Nik that night.
Franco watched more footage of Jason, noting that it would "get the point across.".... Jason and Dante traveled to see if they could corner Franco.
Tuesday
At the hospital, Elizabeth and Nikolas enjoyed spending time with "their" new son, Aidan. Liz noted that he had Nikolas's eyes. Helena stopped by and admired the baby, and wanted to name the tot Stavros. Nikolas revealed that his name is Aidan and Helena was not pleased. Liz gleefully added that they're calling him Buzz for short. Helena stated that Liz wanted the baby to be Lucky's. Liz admitted this, but explained that she's already apologized to Nikolas — and that the name Aidan is staying. Nikolas asked his grandmother to leave. Helena hurried out in a huff and complained to her lackey that she hated seeing Nik fawn over Lucky's child. She wondered if it was time to change her plan. Later, Nikolas brought Liz's sons by to meet their little brother. She promised that they'd be home soon. Nikolas went to take Aidan back to the nursery while Liz went for her exam.
Johnny paid Olivia a visit and brought her baked goods. Liv asked him to accept her decision that they were over. He asked if they could be friends, but she wanted to steer clear from all of the mob business. Johnny stated that he missed her. Liv relented and invited him in for breakfast. They began to kiss, but she pulled away. Johnny argued that they had a good thing going, but Olivia noted that he was never going to change. She asked him to leave. "This is a mistake. I love you," he said before departing. "I can't do it like this," Liv explained. She cried as she watched him leave.
Claire stopped by Sonny's restaurant to discuss Michael. Sonny insisted that he hasn't seen his son. Claire warned him to stay away from Michael while Dante was in L.A. She explained that Dante and Jason went to L.A. to track down Franco, but the cops didn't want Jason to kill Franco. She asked if he was concerned about Jason or just upset that he didn't have his right-hand man around. Sonny wondered why she was so worried about his actions. She answered that what he does isn't right. "You try real hard to hate me and you just can't do it," he chuckled.
Michael had a nightmare about his experience in jail. Lulu found him stirring and woke him up, and Michael reached for her throat. He realized what he was doing and apologized; she understood. He admitted that he'd been dreaming about prison. Carly soon arrived and invited her son to come home with her. Lulu said that Michael was supposed to stay at Dante's place because Dante feared that the judge would send Michael back to prison. Michael agreed that he should stay put. Lulu assured Carly that she's taking good care of him. Carly gave in and asked what he was doing for community service. He replied that he was working with the road crew.
At the hospital, Steve wanted to talk to Robin about a case. He was concerned that an HIV patient had been bumped up and didn't want people to think that a patient was getting special treatment. After, Patrick asked Steve if he'd really been planning to tell Robin and Patrick and Lisa. Steve replied that he's not happy about the obvious strain between him and Lisa — and called Patrick a fool for cheating on Robin. Patrick told him to butt out of his personal life.
Matt met up with Maxie on the docks. She asked if they could talk and told him that she was wrong about him, and that he's not a shallow guy. Matt was flattered. She then shared that she and Spinelli broke up and that she's trying not to make huge mistakes. She asked if they could date for real, rather than to just make Spin jealous. Matt didn't like the idea of being the guy who's waiting in the wings. Maxie was surprised that he didn't jump at the idea of dating her, but Matt didn't want to be a consolation prize. Maxie argued that they had something between them. Matt admitted that he likes her, but didn't like the way she handled things.
Sonny asked Lulu to come by so he could ask her about Michael. She told him that the teen was doing well. Sonny was concerned that criminals would harass Michael on the road crew. Lulu reminded him that he's supposed to stay away from Michael, but Sonny still wanted to be involved in his son's life from afar.... Carly met with a woman at Metro Court and asked how soon the woman could get Dante into bed. Skye interrupted and mentioned that she and Jax were going to be spending a lot of time together. "You picked the wrong day to piss me off," Carly warned and accused her rival of trying to come up with ways to be with Jax. Skye argued that Jax and Carly already had issues even before she came into the picture. Carly warned that she didn't have a chance with Jax, but Skye disgareed.
Michael went to the hospital after getting into a fight with a man on the road crew and burning his hand. He admitted to Maya that he just "lost it." Robin examined his wound, but he asked her not to make a big deal out of it. Carly arrived, but wanted Patrick to look over her son. Robin stated that Carly was hovering over Michael because she was trying to make up for the mistakes she'd made while Michael was a kid.... Lisa cornered Patrick in the locker room and suggested that they spend another night together. Patrick refused. "I know you want more," she crooned.... Sonny asked Steve if Michael could work at the hospital instead of the road crew, but Steve said that they were fully booked. Sonny wanted him to just sign off on Michael's community service, but Steve refused to lie. Michael then ran into Sonny and told him about the fight.
Brook Lynn ran into Johnny by the docks and they flirted. They made plans to hang out, but he admitted that he's still in love with Olivia. Brook was okay with being friends. She changed into a slinky outfit as they prepared to take a boat ride. Liv watched them while hiding behind a bush.
Liz gave Nikolas good news: she was being released that day. He offered to give her and Aidan a ride home and invited them to move into his place. She turned him down, for now. They went to the nursery, but Aidan wasn't there. Liz asked the nurse if the baby had been moved, but he was still listed in the registry. Liz and Nikolas began to panic.... Robin ran into Helena in the hallway and asked where Helena was going.... Carly overheard Lisa and Patrick arguing. Uh oh...
Wednesday
In L.A., Jason and Dante went to an art museum and inspected one of Franco's pieces to see if there were any clues. They questioned the curator about it and he revealed that it was a scale model of the artist's work. Dante informed the curator that the artist is a serial killer. The curator replied that the speculations about the artist added to his work. He then informed Jason that Franco left a message for him. Jason realized that Franco was putting Jason's life on display.
At the hospital, Sonny questioned Michael about the fight he'd been in, but Michael didn't want to discuss it. Michael didn't want his father to fix things for him. Kristina soon arrived with a sprained ankle and Sonny told her about Michael's fight. She promised to call her dad if she needed him.... Keifer's father asked Epiphany for Kristina's medical records, but she said that he needed a court order. He tried to threaten her, but Epiphany wasn't fazed. Olivia overheard him call Kris a slut and trashed Kiefer. Mr. Bauer blamed Kristina and Alexis for Kiefer's death. After he left, Epiphany dumped his papers into the waste basket.... Mr. Bauer ran into Kristina and demanded that she sign the release form for her records.
Liv joined Michael during the lockdown. He recalled that there were many lockdowns when he was in jail. She regretted that he had to go to prison. She asked what he planned to do when his parole was over, but he wasn't sure. She believed that something good would happen for him.
Nikolas and Elizabeth panicked when they couldn't find Aiden in the nursery. Steven checked the registry and Aiden was listed as being there. Nik suspected that Helena was responsible. Lucky joined them and Nik asked to have an APB put out on Helena. Steve ordered a lockdown on the hospital.... Helena was just about to leave, but was locked in when the doors closed.
At the hospital, Carly overheard Patrick and Lisa discussing their tryst. He told Lisa that their affair was a mistake. Carly then ran into Robin, who wondered what Carly was doing in the staff area. Patrick and Lisa emerged from the locker room, still arguing, and Robin asked what was going on. Patrick lied that they were talking about a patient. Robin asked Carly to leave; Carly warned her not to push or she'd push back. After Carly left, Robin asked Lisa what they were really fighting about. Lisa admitted that a lot of stuff has been building up between her and Patrick. "Old lovers always know how to push each other's buttons," Lisa shrugged. Carly asked Patrick if Michael could get a check up and noted that she'd overheard his fight with Lisa.
Johnny and Brook Lynn hung out at the beach after their boat ride. They chatted about her childhood and Brook revealed that her parents weren't around a lot because they were in the music industry. Johnny shared some memories of Claudia and revealed how much he'd loved his sister. Later, Brook Lynn leaned in to kiss him.
Maxie visited Shirley, then got stuck in the hospital during the lockdown. Shirley encouraged her to make the most of the situation and invited her to sit down to discuss jewelry. Instead, Maxie confided in her about her man troubles. Shirley advised her to go after what she wants. Later, the women talked about how both had come close to dying. Shirley then asked Maxie to help get her to Liz, but Maxie didn't want to break any rules. Maxie finally relented and agreed.
Liz was freaked out over her missing baby, but Nikolas tried to keep her calm.... Lucky found Helena and asked where she hid Liz and Nik's child. She seemed truly surprised to hear this, but Lucky didn't buy it. Liz and Nikolas joined them and demanded that Helena return their son. Helena then stated that Aiden isn't the Cassadine heir. She explained that Spencer is the real heir and noted that while they were badgering her, they were letting the real kidnapper get away.
Alexis encountered Sonny at the docks and thanked him for standing up to Mr. Bauer on Kristina's behalf. Sonny suggested that they send Kris to boarding school, but Alexis noted that their daughter wanted to prove herself in her high school. Sonny filled her in on his encounter with Michael and Alexis advised him to butt out.... Mr. Bauer became emotional as he informed Kristina that he'd received a letter about Kiefer's freshman orientation. He believed that Alexis was pressuring Kristina into lying about Kiefer hitting her. Kris replied that Kiefer did hit her and it was probably because Mr. Bauer had hit him. Mr. Bauer insisted that Kiefer wasn't afraid of him and kept stating that Kiefer hadn't beat her up. "All the dreams I had for him are gone — because of you," he cried. Later, Michael overheard Kristina and Mr. Bauer arguing and shouted at Mr. Bauer to get away from his sister.
Thursday
At the beach, Johnny reminded an interested Brook Lynn that he loves someone else. Brook noted that Olivia is "old" and Johnny defended Liv. Brook asked what he was doing there with her. He explained that he just wants to be friends and wasn't giving up on Liv. Still, he was flattered to have been hit on by Brook. She warned him that opposites may attract, but never last.
At the hospital, Lucky, Nikolas and Elizabeth accused Helena of stealing Aiden. She denied it and offered to help them. Liz freaked out; Nik demanded that his grandmother have one of her minions return the tot. Helena insisted that she was innocent. Nikolas asked his grandmother to leave, believing that she did not take Aiden. Liz wondered who did. Mac promised that they'd find him. Shirley paid Liz a visit and was upset to hear that it was her baby who was missing. She urged Liz not to give up hope and gave her a necklace that she'd made. Liz loved it. Later, Liz put Shirley back to bed and Shirley thanked her being her family.
Also at the hospital, Mr. Bauer became angry and cornered Kristina. Michael barged in and hit Mr. Bauer. A fight ensued and Kristina screamed at them to stop. She went outside and yelled for help; Lucky, Maya, Steven and Ethan came running. Mr. Bauer demanded that Michael be arrested. Everyone agreed that they hadn't witnessed an assault. Kris stated that Mr. Bauer had tripped. Bauer was furious and called it a "conspiracy."
Jason and Dante searched through Franco's workshop while Franco lurked in the shadows. They found a videotape and played it; it featured the thug, Carter, from jail who was asking Franco what he was supposed to do to Michael Corinthos. Jason and Dante watched, horrified, as Franco encouraged him to "be creative" with Michael. He then told the thug to mention Franco's name to Jason. Jason grabbed the TV and smashed it on the ground. Dante was angry, but Jason wanted to protect Michael and threatened to kill Dante. Jason calmed down and acknowledged that Franco knows how to push him. Dante warned him not to get so riled up that he does something stupid.... Franco went to the museum. The curator wanted to see the performance art aspect of the exhibit, but Franco wanted to keep it a surprise. He did reveal that it would involve him, a guest of honor and a supporting cast of thousands. He added that he'd blow the exhibit sky high. The curator was perplexed, but Franco insisted that he could be trusted.
Patrick begged Carly not to tell Robin about his tryst with Lisa. Carly promised to keep quiet, noting that she's cheated on all of her exes. Patrick confided that before Robin had left for Africa, they were fighting over Sonny and her work with the AIDS foundation ... and then he ended up with Lisa. Carly told him not to be so hard on himself.... Robin wanted to talk to Lisa about Lisa's friction with Patrick. Lisa noted that they have similar personalities and that they have "sparks" between them. Lisa admitted that when she and Patrick dated, it would bother her when he'd sleep with someone else. She recalled how she'd gone on a trip and when she returned, she'd learned that Patrick had been messing around with her roommate -- and that he'd admitted that covering up the hookup was more exciting than the cheating itself.... Patrick wanted to tell Robin the truth, but Carly didn't think it was a good idea.... Robin accused Lisa of trying to make her paranoid about her husband and insisted that Patrick would never cheat on her.
Maya and Ethan wondered who took Liz's baby.... Mac continued with the search, while Liz tried not to lose her mind. Lucky believed that whoever took the baby knew his or her way around the hospital.... An empty crib was wheeled by someone into the OR.... Liz went to visit Shirley and found the elderly woman had died.
Franco put together his exhibit, which included a couch, M&Ms, a globe, chalk outlines and a toy rooster. Later, Jason and Dante went to the exhibit. Franco appeared on a large screen and welcomed the crowd, making a point to say hello to Jason. The crowd was impressed. Franco, meanwhile, watched everyone from above and laughed.
Bauer walked through the hospital, firing a gun and took aim at Kristina.
Friday
At the hospital, Warren shot Mac and Ethan, then aimed his gun at Kristina and Michael. Kristine sobbed as another shot was fired. Meanwhile, Carly heard the gunshots and freaked out, but Patrick tried to keep her calm. She wanted to check on Michael, but Patrick didn't want her to put herself in danger. She insisted on going, so Patrick came with her.... Mac shot Warren and then collapsed. Michael held a sobbing Kristina. Patrick, Matt and Steven arrived and tended to the victims, but Maya just cowered in the corner. Steve asked Maya to call for help, but she couldn't move. Instead, Steve had Michael rush to the ER to get backup. Carly promised Kristina that she'd take care of her. Warren muttered to Kris that this was her fault, then died. Kristina panicked when things didn't look good for Ethan. Michael returned and Carly happily embraced her son.
Also in the hospital, Lucky, Maxie and Nikolas watched, surprised, as Franco's face appeared on the monitor. Franco cackled about Elizabeth and Nikolas's missing baby.... Jason and Dante attended Franco's exhibit in L.A. and searched for the psycho artist. Franco appeared on a large screen and welcomed Jason. The crowd was impressed. "What you see is most definitely not what you get," Franco promised. Scenes of Jason and Dante were then projected on the screen; Franco watched them from above and laughed. Jason saw the singer whom Franco had arranged to perform at Jake's and asked where Franco was. "Waiting for you to find him," the singer replied.
Maxie stopped by Shirley's room and found an upset Liz standing by the deceased woman's bed. The young women agreed that Shirley had been a special person. Maxie informed Liz that Franco took her baby. Lucky and Nik wondered what Aiden's connection was to Jason; Nikolas noted that Aiden's hospital ID ended with 66, Franco's favorite number. Liz joined Nik and Lucky as Franco blathered on about how the baby is a key component to his show. Lucky urged the parents to stay calm so they could determine what Franco was up to. Nikolas suggested that Liz stay with Shirley while they searched and Liz shared that her friend had died.... At the show, Franco grabbed a woman and held her at gunpoint just as Jason found him. Franco asked Jason if he wanted to watch him take a life or help him save one. Jason wanted to go somewhere else to talk and the crowd booed him. Franco taunted him about Michael and pointed to the screen, where Michael and Carter's faces were now projected. Franco ran off, with Jason and Dante in pursuit. Franco waved to them from the upper level.
Maxie came upon the scene of the shooting and was devastated to see that Mac had been injured..... Carly led Kristina and Michael away from the bloodshed. Kris blamed herself for the incident, but Carly and Michael assured her that none of it was her fault..... Steven and the rest of the team prepped Mac and Ethan for surgery. Maxie asked Steven if he'd save Mac; he and Matt promised to do their best. Patrick also vowed to do his best to save Mac for Robin.... Later, Maxie and Robin kept each other company as they waited for word on Mac's condition. Maxie regretted being so selfish when it came to Mac. Robin also felt badly that she hasn't seen Mac a lot lately.
Lucky called Dante and told him about Franco taking the baby. He implored Dante to keep Jason from killing Franco so they could find the tot. After, Dante was surprised to see Lulu at the exhibit. Lulu wanted to protect him.... Jason entered the building where Franco was and shot at the artist. "Art equals life and you're my inspiration," Franco told him. Jason vowed to kill him. Franco replied that he and Jason are connected and the men fired shots at each other.... Lucky, Nikolas and Liz ran around the hospital, desperately searching for Aiden..... At the show, a drag queen performed a number while Jason continued to chase after Franco. Franco ran to the top of the building and shouted, "Don't kill me, I know where the baby is!" and then fell over the landing onto the ground. The crowd screamed as they eyed his lifeless body.
