Sonny took Kate on a surprise date — to Bensonhurst. They ended up at
Fortunato's, one of their favorite old haunts. Kate and Sonny fondly
recalled their first date at the restaurant. ("Mary Manucci did my hair,"
marveled Kate.) Sonny brought up the man who got him into the business, Joe
Scully, and how he avoided Kate after that night to keep her away from
Scully's dangerous business. Sonny stressed that this night was not to be
about bad memories. They toasted to their shared past.

A bickering Logan, Johnny and Spinelli reluctantly joined forced to save
Lulu. They listened to her last phone message to Spinelli and tried to
decipher her location from the clues she left them. After some cyber
sleuthing, the boys realized Lulu was being held prisoner at a monetary
outside of town. Spinelli disguised himself as a monk and snuck into the
structure.

At the monetary, a clever Lulu started digging at the crumbling wall of her
locked room and managed to avoid detection from the monk guarding her.
Afterward, Lulu managed to crawl through the hole she made and found a
tunnel.

In the lab, Nadine told Nikolas there's nothing wrong with talking to Emily
and it seems to bring out the best in him. Afterward, Nikolas and Emily
shared a tearful exchange. She cried that she's not real and he needs to
move on. Nik replied that there is no moving on without her and she’s the
next best thing to being real and he doesn't want that to change.

In the E.R., an agitated Joe threw Monica aside and grabbed Sam instead.
Lucky told Scott that he couldn't get a clear shot at the bomber because
Jason was in the way. Scott said he should still go for it and commented
that, "Accidents happen." During Jason and the bomber’s exchange, Lucky
found out that Elizabeth and Jake were also present and that if Joe takes
his finger off the detonator, they all go "Boom!" Lucky opted not to fire a
shot and opted for a new plan.

On the 10th floor of G.H., Patrick and Robin argued over his theory to take
Nikolas's blood during a rage episode. Robin reluctantly agreed to go along
with the plan. Patrick went to see Nik and provoked him, putting himself in
harm's way when Nik attacked. Orderlies were able to draw blood but Nik
escaped their grasp and stormed off.

As Kelly examined the pregnant Angie, a monitor startled people, indicating
that the baby was in trouble. Joe grabbed Monica again and started shouting
that somebody had better do something fast. It was actually Jake's monitor,
but Epiphany managed to revive the child with CPR. Leo emerged and said
Elizabeth is losing blood and needs surgery. Jason grabbed Monica away from
Joe and shoved her toward Leo, shouting, "Go! Go!" Leo brought Monica to
Liz's side and said she needs surgery. Monica expressed reluctance, pointing
out she hasn’t been in an O.R. since her incident during Luke’s bypass. Leo
told her it was time to get back on the horse. Monica's hands were shaky and
after pulling a piece of glass out of Liz's leg, she left Leo to finish the
procedure. Later, Liz recovered to find Lucky standing over her with a plan
to sneak her out of the hospital. "Take Jake first," she begged.

On the docks, Ric dropped the bombshell on Trevor that he now owned
Alcazar's piers after Skye gave them to him before leaving town. "You must
be better in bed than I thought," Trevor spewed. Ric informed his father
that he intends on keeping the coveted real estate for himself.

Mac and the police arrived on the hostage scene and chastised Scott for
taking orders from the mayor. "We're going to do things my way," Mac
shouted. Inside, an enraged Nikolas made his way down to the E.R., where he
threatened Joe the bomber. "No!" screamed Sam.
