GH Week of February 25, 2008
Monday
At Crimson Pointe, Sonny took a shot at Johnny, just as Claudia emerged and
held Corinthos at gunpoint. Sonny claimed that he wanted retribution for
Kate’s shooting and Claudia let it slip that she and Sonny slept together.
Johnny was shocked. Johnny spit that if Sonny shoots him, Claudia will kill
Sonny and she and Trevor will declare war on Jason and no one will win.
Johnny then walked away from Sonny, who did not fire. Claudia said she’d let
Sonny go if he did something for her. He slapped the gun out of her hands.
Jason arrived and barked, "Sonny, we need to go." Sonny reluctantly
complied and left with Jason.
In Port Charles, Trevor showed up at Ric’s doorstep. Trevor covered up his
involvement with Marianna but once alone, noted that she’s a fast worker.
Trevor ordered Marianna to get her hands on the deed to the piers or else
he’d be sure she was deported. Marianna replied that she has true feelings
for "Richard" and refused to help him any further. Ric was not happy that
Trevor was giving Marianna a hard time and booted him out.
At Sam’s apartment, Sam was stunned when the killer pulled off his mask to
reveal his identity — it was Diego Alcazar. Diego explained that when Sam
shot him in 2006, his grieving father, Lorenzo, detected a faint heart beat
and had Diego whisked away to South America in secret, where he was slowly
nursed back to health. When Sam said Lucky was on his way, Diego laughed
that he knew she was lying — her and Lucky are on the outs. Diego then
attacked Sam again with a cord.
At G.H., Lulu burst into Nikolas’s room in tears, confessing what she did to
Logan. She couldn’t help but the note the similarities between this incident
and Laura bludgeoning Rick Webber. She feared that this could take her down
her mother’s mental illness path. Nik reassured his sister that she is her
own person.
In Kate’s room, she awoke, muttering the name Olivia. When Alexis questioned
the reference, Kate, clammed up. When Alexis noted the Kate’s heart rate
went up as she pursued the Olivia line of questioning, Alexis backed off.
At Kelly’s, Spinelli and Maxie squabbled because she sat down at "his"
table. When he pointed out that they had a lot in common since they were
both "misunderstood," Maxie got up and ran out.
After Sonny and Jason left Crimson Pointe, Johnny chastised Claudia for
sleeping with the enemy. They quickly made up, acknowledging that their
less-than-stellar childhoods have messed up their lives and their
decision-making.
Carly was happy to get Michael’s call, but quickly grew frantic when he got
cut off after saying, "It’s my fault." After Jax vowed he’d bring Carly’s
little boy home, Carly told Jason about Michael’s call. When he asked her if
she thought Alcazar might still be alive, Carly doubled over in pain.
After Johnny called Lulu to meet, he was attacked by two thugs.... Diego
tied up Sam and placed tape over her mouth. Just then, Maxie showed up at
Sam’s door, unaware Diego was on the other side.
Tuesday
At the hospital, Robin found a gift bag on her locker. Inside was a stuffed animal along with a cute card from Patrick. He showed up and asked "Do you wanna tell me what's really going on with you?" She didn't feel like opening up and he was perplexed by her abrasive attitude towards him. Robin stormed off. Later, the pair squabbled about Joe and Angie’s situation with their baby. Robin said it was awful that Joe was looking at jail time and wouldn’t be able to be with his wife when she gave birth. Afterward, Patrick surprised Robin by reuniting Joe with his wife so he could be there for her labor. Patrick explained that he talked to Mac and bailed Joe out and got him a job complete with health coverage, so Angie could have their child at G.H. The gesture brought Robin to tears. Patrick said a father should be there when his child is born. Robin bolted.
Sonny asked Kate if she knew who put her in the hospital. She said she had no idea but admitted she last saw Trevor, "It wasn't a pleasant exchange," she admitted. Sonny stepped outside the room to pass this info to Max. Meanwhile, Claudia slipped in and approached Kate. "Do I know you?" asked the patient. Claudia said no but it was time they became acquainted. Shortly afterward, Sonny heard a “Code Blue” called and ran into Kate’s room, which was empty. When Jason spotted Claudia nearby, he shouted, “What did you do?” She denied any wrongdoing. Sonny then made a veiled threat to her about Johnny.
Despite her pains, Carly refused to let Jax and Jason call 911 because she didn't want to leave Morgan, believing Alcazar was still out there. Jax blamed Jason for getting Carly scared but she insisted that Jason was only trying to help. Carly conceded and had Kelly check her out. Kelly gave her a thumbs up. Jax comforted Carly, who couldn’t keep her mind off Michael.
As he held onto a struggling Sam, Diego looked out the door and saw Maxie on her cell phone. He threw Sam down and took out a wire, perhaps to strangle Maxie with? Maxie called Mac and said she can’t wait to confront her sister’s killer — Logan. Mac told Maxie that Logan was no longer a suspect but she didn’t want to hear it. Maxie turned and walked away as Diego watched through the door.
Lucky felt guilty for what happened to Sam but Liz insisted that he wasn't the one behind the wheel.
Leo told Epiphany that she's improving and has been a model patient. She barked that once she's back to work, everyone else's vacation is over. Epiphany was angry at herself for not taking better care of herself but Liz told her to go easy on herself. Liz told Epiphany she raised a fine young man in Stan and she’s surrounded by people who love her. Afterward, Cassius brought Stan’s ashes to Epiphany and vowed that she would get her answers regarding his death.
Ric calmed Marianna’s fears about Randy and said it’s time they went public. Alexis arrived with Kristina and was surprised to see Ric with this strange woman. Ric asked for Alexis’s help regarding Marianna’s immigration status.
At Kelly’s, Scott blasted Spinelli for going after Logan. When Mike leapt to Spinelli’s defense, Scott said he has proof Logan isn’t the killer. The drunks who Logan had gotten into a fight with were arrested, backing up Logan’s claimed he’d injured his ribs in a bar fight. Lucky demanded that Spinelli turn over all the information he and Maxie turned up.
A colorful woman came into Kelly’s and made a reservation for six for tomorrow. Mike was instructed to serve Campbell’s Healthy Request soup.
Diego knocked Sam out and brought her to an undisclosed location and said it’s time for her to die.
Wednesday
At the coffeehouse, Jason found Claudia waiting for Sonny. She claimed she had nothing to do with Kate's shooting and wanted to negotiate a truce. Claudia lamented that Sonny was wasting himself on Kate and, despite Jason's denial, she picked up that he's with someone, too. Claudia expressed her concern for Johnny's safety and asked Jason to have Sonny release her brother. She gave him 20 minutes to comply, "Or all bets are off."
At G.H., Scott told Lulu that he was going to have her arrested for the
attempted murder of his son. Ian ordered Scott to knock it off. Lucky
counseled Lulu, who was torn between Logan and Johnny. He wasn't thrilled
with either choice but advised his sis to, "Take your time."
At the abandoned cannery, Diego told a captive Sam that nobody will care
when she's gone. Diego explained that due to the gunshot wound she gave him, he needs to take the experimental pills. He then showed her a bomb. "Don't worry," he assured. "It's not set to go off. Yet."
At G.H., Kate told Sonny that she doesn't know who shot her, but she
remembered a woman being nearby. Sonny assured her that woman will never bother her again.
While Nadine was out jogging, she saw Nikolas lying behind a trash dumpster.
Nik woke up but refused her pleas to go back to the hospital. Nikolas took
Nadine back to Wyndemere, where he planned to relive Emily's death so he
could finally see the killer's face. Once there, he entered the ballroom,
where Emily appeared and they reenacted the scenario. Nik recalled arguing with Em, being knocked out and someone strangling her from behind. Then, Nik caught Em as she collapsed. He was frantic he was losing Emily for a second time. Then, in a flash, he recalled the killer's face. "Diego," Nik whispered.
Cassius met Epiphany as she was being released from the hospital. She wanted to know why he was so concerned about her. Cassius explained that his mother died from a heart attack after losing their home during Hurricane Katrina. Epiphany acknowledged that life is indeed a gift.
Max and Milo were keeping an eye on a captive Johnny, who was being held
hostage in a padded room. Sonny explained that the locale was an abandoned insane asylum and he took Johnny's shoes and socks to keep him from escaping.
At the Go Red luncheon at Kelly's, the local chapter of Take Heart heart
attack survivors gathered. Monica chaired the luncheon. As the women
introduced themselves and their ailment history, Epiphany entered with Leo and Cassius. Feeling ambushed, Epiphany turned right around and exited. Monica, Cassius and Leo chased after her and Monica gave a heartfelt speech about how she can make a difference. "This feels like an intervention," Epiphany replied. "It is," Monica shot back. "People will listen to you and you can help others." Epiphany heeded Monica's words and returned. "I'm Epiphany Johnson," she declared to the group. "And I want to be more than a survivor. I want to be a teacher." She sat down and was met with a round of applause.
Jason called Sonny with Claudia's request, but he didn't want to hear any of it. Jason was miffed that Sonny refused to listen to reason. Sonny then had Trevor hauled in and beat up in his search for answers.... As Maxie and
Spinelli plotted their next move, Lulu rushed in and knocked Spinelli's
laptop to the ground.... Sam escaped captivity and climbed through the air
ducts to escape, only to end up back in the same place. Diego laughed,
saying he set up the maze to keep her busy. He tied her up again and
left.... Ian asked Elizabeth if she knew how to get in touch with Sam. She
said she didn't like Sam. Ian admired Liz's honesty. Later, Liz went by
Sam's to tell her about Ian's inquiry. Just as she was about to knock, a
masked Diego opened the apartment door.
Thursday
After opening the door to Elizabeth, a masked Diego grabbed her, knocked her out and put her in his car. Just then, Max showed up and held the masked man at gunpoint. Max recognized the unconscious Liz, then a gun battle broke out. Diego jumped in the car and hit Max as he sped off with Liz handcuffed in the back seat.
Carly tried to keep busy by painting the nursery but there was no way she
could stop worrying about Michael.
A sleeping Michael was awakened when he was poked with a rifle. The
gun-toter was an older woman who asked what he was running away from. She introduced herself as Peg and gave Michael food. He said he did something really bad and couldn’t go home.
At Wyndemere, Nikolas saw Diego’s face as he strangled Emily to death.
Nadine was happy about the reakthrough but Nik pointed out that due to his hallucinations, no one will believe his claims. Plus, there’s that little issue that Diego is supposed to be dead.
At the coffeehouse, Lulu berated Spinelli and Maxie, blaming their
investigation for Logan ending up in the hospital. Maxie shot back that it’s
not their fault if she doubted Logan and hit him with a wrench. The girls
came to blows but Jason separated them. Lulu left in a huff. Jason sent
Maxie on her way and enlisted Spinelli’s help in investigating Michael's disappearance and whether or not Alcazar was still alive. Just then, Nikolas and Nadine arrived and told Jason of his vision of Diego. Jason said he'd take care of it but Nik said that Em was the love of his life and there was no way he'd sit on the sidelines.
Mad bomber Joe came to Patrick to say that something was wrong with Angie
and the baby but no one was saying anything. Patrick, Robin, Ian and Kelly
joined forces to find out what was wrong. Ian deduced that the vitamins
Angie had been taking were tainted and he mentioned the number of illicit
drugs out there on the world market. The doctors then leapt into action to
make sure the baby wasn’t stillborn.
Mike went to visit Kate in the hospital and was angry at his son for not
introducing him to the woman he loved and had proposed to. Mike told Sonny he was tired of being kept out of his son’s life. He then recalled a memory of seeing Sonny happy as a teenager with a neighborhood girl on Easter Sunday and wished his son could be that happy again. Mike gave Sonny some advice on forgiveness. Sonny thanked his father for helping out with Michael. Mike left and Kate woke up, saying Mike was right. Kate also heard Mike’s memory and commented that she hated that Easter outfit she was wearing. Sonny acknowledged he needs to work on forgiveness.
Max called Jason for help. He showed up with Nik and Nadine. Max broke the news that the masked man had Liz. They also realized that Sam was missing. Jason ran to search Sam’s apartment.
In his car, Liz woke up and pulled Diego’s mask off. Unbeknownst to Liz, Sam was tied up and locked in the trunk of the car.... Lulu was worried after not hearing from Johnny so she went to Crimson Pointe, where she met Claudia.... Robin and Patrick came out of the O.R. Robin told Patrick that
she would seek out Joe and tell him the news.... Spinelli and Maxie found a
clue that took them into the city sewer system.... Liz clawed at Diego’s
face. As he slapped her off of him, the car swerved and crashed, leaving the
vehicle dangling precariously over the side, high above a raging river.
Friday
Jason realized that Diego was the killer and that he'd taken Elizabeth to
the bridge where Jason dumped Alcazar's body. Nikolas wanted to aid in Jason's search but Jason refused to allow him to participate. Nik was
agitated and swore to Nadine that he would get revenge on Diego.... Jason
caught up to Liz, Diego and Lucky as Liz was trying to wrest control of the
gun from Diego.
Sonny and Kate chatted in her hospital room. They talked about the conversation she'd had with Trevor prior to her shooting. He was convinced that someone in Trevor's organization was responsible. Kate assured Sonny that she wanted to continue their relationship.
Johnny was going berserk being held hostage by Sonny. With a marker, he
composed a song on the wall of his cell.
Lulu met Claudia as she tried to find Johnny. Claudia coldly introduced
herself and made it clear that she blamed Lulu (and Jason) for her father's imprisonment. Lulu then went to see Sonny about Johnny. He warned her against going to the police. After Lulu walked away, Claudia revealed that she had been eavesdropping and confronted him about holding her little
brother. Claudia insisted to Sonny that she didn't have Michael and vowed to
make Sonny pay. She then paid another foreboding visit to Kate. She
introduced herself to Kate as the woman Sonny slept with after Sonny and Kate's break-up.
Patrick and Ian observed as Robin broke the bad news to a weeping Joe that his wife had passed on. Patrick was surprised by how affected Ian was by Angie's death. Robin introduced Joe to his new baby. Patrick watched Robin
swaddling the newborn and later asked her again if he is the father of her unborn child. "Yes," she finally admitted.
