GH Week of February 15, 2010

Monday

Jax and Carly were bickering over Michael when Sonny accused him of throwing away his family. Jax said if he and Joss mean nothing to her, she should go ahead and sleep with Sonny, then stormed out. Sonny told Carly that she deserves better. Carly acknowledged that Jax is wonderful — and that Sonny is gloating. Olivia helped Jax and Joss get settled at Metro Court, and assured him that Carly would not be "stupid" enough to sleep with Sonny. Later, Jax was contacting a divorce lawyer when Carly blasted him for taking Joss. Carly insisted she didn't sleep with Sonny, but he said it doesn't matter, suggesting they "cut our losses and move on." Sonny went to GH, where he ran into Olivia. She asked about Carly, and he wondered why she cares.

Dante was skeptical that Mac wanted him at PCPD as a conduit to Sonny (and Michael). Mac and Dante agreed that Michael's confession was just an attempt to score points with his father. Mac wondered if Dante was doing the same. "I could use a good cop like you on my team," Mac said. Meanwhile, Lulu was turning down Maxie's offer of condoms, since Dante was just shot, but Maxie accused Lulu of avoiding sex out of fear of losing Dante afterward. Lulu opted for strategic withdrawal, but not before Maxie slipped some condoms into Lulu's bag. Lulu went to Dante's room with flowers, candles and a red-hot red dress, and they kissed. He felt compelled to tell her, "I'm still a cop." She was happy for him, but worried about potential conflicts with their shady families. Then he found the glow-in-the-dark condoms. She insisted there was a mistake, but he insisted her dress was having a positive effect on him, and as long as she's gentle, it should be okay. But as soon as she climbed on top of him, his heart monitor went crazy! Spinelli arrived home to Maxie's "Planet of Love." She misinterpreted his shock and started babbling about Franco again, but he said he was in awe of her effort to impress him. She promised to try to move on, for his sake, and they kissed.

Sam was summoned to PCPD, so Jason called Diane, who was furious that he interrupted her Valentine's Day with Max and her new French lingerie (She flashed him!). Diane demanded that Mac release Sam and accused him of ruining everyone else's Valentine's Day because he has no plans of his own. She encouraged him to call Alexis. Jason and Sam returned to the penthouse to find it decorated in pink and red hearts — courtesy of Kristina and Molly. "Happy Valentine's Day," he said, and they kissed.

In the church, Elizabeth awoke and told Lucky, "I knew you'd come for me." She babbled about their vows, and he took her to GH. Nikolas was at the Hub when Lucky brought her in, and accused his brother of being to blame. Nik said Liz loves Lucky, so only Lucky can help her. Lucky sat vigil, telling her he doesn't know what's going on or who he is anymore, and while what she did was wrong, it doesn't change the good between them. He said he'll always remember the Valentine's Day when he found her in the snow. She woke up, moaning his name. "I'm right here," he said. "I'm not going anywhere." She revealed she went to the church because she wanted to go back to a time before she ruined everything. Then Kelly came in (with Nik) and announced, in front of both men, "You're pregnant."

Tuesday

At GH, Kelly told a shocked Elizabeth (and Lucky and Nikolas) that she is around three months pregnant. Of course, Nikolas jumped in and asked how soon they could do a paternity test. Kelly said not until April or May. As the guys hovered, a shaken Elizabeth just wanted to sleep. In the hall, Nikolas and Lucky updated Steve about the pregnancy and the "Who's the Daddy?" drama. Steve asked the guys to let him take the lead in talking to Liz. Unfortunately, her room was empty! Elizabeth was up on the roof, blank-eyed and playing with snow. "I'm sorry," she whispered, tearfully, when Lucky found her up there. Nik and Steve showed up on the roof as Lucky tried to get through to Elizabeth and urge her away from the edge. He succeeded, and protectively wrapped his arms around her. Later, Lucky made sure Liz was safely ensconced in her room and Steve and Nikolas told him they wanted to commit her to Shadybrook.

At their totally decked out digs, Jason and Sam ended up canoodling, drinking pink champagne and eating chocolate (no, the recapper isn't kidding). Of course, it turned out Molly and Kristina had gotten stuck there, so they came out to survey their matchmaking handiwork! Meanwhile, Mac showed up at the lake house to see Alexis. Awkward adorable-ness ensued as Mac gave her a Valentine's Day gift: her favorite chocolate cookies. Back at the penthouse, Molly gave Jason a tutorial on romance and then Jason and Sam took her nosy siblings home. They walked in on Mac and Alexis making out. Cue much hilarity before Jason and Sam left and the younger Davis girls rushed off to bed so Mac/Alexis could keep "snogging." Back at the penthouse, Sam hoped Mac and Alexis would work out and she and Jason traded "I love you"s. Then, Sam found Molly's list of love advice. "You have to read me love poetry," she told Jason. He opted to rev her up with tidbits from FIREARMS magazine instead!

Sonny, Olivia and Steven broke up Dante and Lulu's hospital room makeout session. Steven chided Dante for his friskiness and warned Lulu, "Kiss him again and I'm banning you for the duration." At the Metro Court, Jax insisted to Carly that Josslyn would be staying with him. After all, hadn't Michael benefitted from staying with Jason as an infant? Carly didn't quite appreciate his logic. "It kills me to know we're not going to make it," he sighed to her. Back at GH, Dante didn't appreciate his parents butting into his life. "Sonny's working you, Ma," he warned Olivia, disgusted by how cozy the duo seemed. Lulu then demanded they leave! Alone, Lulu shut off Dante's heart monitor so she could kiss him without interruption and flipped it back on before she left. Carly and Jax managed to end their argument in a civil manner as she agreed to let him keep Joss for the night. At GH, Olivia returned to Dante's room and tried to get through to him. Dante told Olivia he loves her but doesn't feel like talking to her. Olivia defended her decision to keep Dante and Sonny apart and reiterated how proud she is of the man Dante is. Meanwhile, Sonny showed up at Lulu's, hoping her anger had dissipated. Lulu assured him that she sees him quite clearly now and will never forgive him. Carly came home, where Morgan blasted her for not working things out with Jax. "I hate this!" he wept, fearing Jax had left them for good. At Lulu's, Sonny asked for her help getting to know Dante but she wasn't havin' it. She also informed Sonny that Dante joined the PCPD! At the Metro Court, Jax told baby Josslyn that he was trying to make Carly fight for him and get their family back together. Across town, Carly said something similar to Morgan! "It's going to work," she assured him. At GH, Sonny walked in to confront Dante about joining the PCPD. "I'm dedicating myself to bringing you down," Dante assured.

Wednesday

Diane warned Sonny that he will be convicted of murdering Claudia unless she can sell a jury that he was defending himself from a woman. And to forget about him destroying evidence and denying everything until the body turned up. And, worst of all, that his own son is testifying against him. Speaking of which, Agent Rayner visited Dante to warn him that he better do just that — testify against his father, or else. Olivia, who had been listening while Rayner threatened Dante, threatened the fed with a messy lawsuit. Rayner recalled that she previously tried to blackmail him, and wondered if she had evidence that Sonny planned to kill his wife. Dante threatened to develop amnesia unless Rayner backed off his mother. Later, Lulu visited, and they smooched. Until Michael arrived and asked for Dante's help. He insisted that Sonny has honor, lives by a code and is "not a bad guy." Michael noted that Dante did things like threaten them and lie to Morgan, but they forgave him. After Michael left, Dante began to wonder about Michael's "fake" confession. Meanwhile, Tracy told Luke that Elizabeth is pregnant and doesn't know who the daddy is. Later, Sonny arrived and asked Luke how he connected with Ethan. "I didn't shoot him n the chest," Luke joked. Then Luke told him about Elizabeth's pregnancy and plans to ship her off to Shady Brook. Sonny said he knows "something about being mentally ill," and claimed he takes his meds every day and that therapy has helped, so Liz can get better. Olivia met with Diane, who advised her to tell the truth on the stand. When Sonny returned, he sent Diane packing and asked Olivia to help him get to know the son she kept from him. He tried to guilt her, but she said she would do it all again.

Outside Elizabeth's hospital room, Nikolas told Steve that he and Lucky declared a truce. Inside, Elizabeth told Lucky she was eager to go home to her boys, but Lucky suggested she should go to Shady Brook for a while. She was horrified, calling it a place for screaming crazy people in rocking chairs. Lucky insisted everyone who loves her will be waiting when she gets out. Nikolas entered and reinforced the point that she would be doing the right thing for her children. She reluctantly agreed — for the sake of the kids.

Robin and Patrick began their day fighting about their Valentine's Day misfires, and the bickering continued at the hospital, where Steve later told Robin about Elizabeth's pregnancy and suicide bid, and Shady Brook. Robin found Patrick enraptured while Lisa gloated about going to the Daytona 500 and hooking up with race crews. Robin pulled him away and insisted they help Liz. Later, Robin brought Elizabeth some clothes, and they talked about how hard it is to admit you need help when you feel like a failure.Robin promised things will get better. Elizabeth admitted she doesn't know whose baby she's carrying. At home, Robin and Patrick apologized to each other and vowed to make time for each other.

Luke summoned Lucky, who lamented being hard on Liz, and wondered why he still loves her. Luke told his son to trust his instincts. Morgan visited Dante and told him that Jax and his mom are splitting up. And he doesn't want his dad to go to prison. "Can't you do anything to stop our dad from going to prison?" he pleaded. When Steve later brought his sister to Shady Brook, she confided that she needs to face the truth: She slept with Nikolas many more times than Lucky, so the baby is most likely Nik's. Once she was alone, she vowed to love her new baby — and was interrupted by Helena, who declared, "I have no doubt you're carrying the Cassadine heir."

Thursday

Sonny asked Olivia to put in a good word with Dante because he wants to get to know his son in whatever time he has left before prison. Sonny said he thinks about Dante every night, noting, "We have the same blood in our veins." Olivia urged him to spend his time with the children he already knows, because only Dante can make that call, and left. At G.H., Dante told Morgan he has to put Sonny away because he has an obligation as a police officer — and he has personal integrity. Jason walked in, and Morgan suggested that Dante go to work for their father for real. "It'll never work," Jason said. Dante explained he took and oath to uphold the law. After he left, Dante told Jason he's not going to bat for any mob boss. Morgan went to see Sonny and tell him his idea about hiring Dante, but Sonny agreed it wouldn't work. Morgan asked his father if it was because of integrity. Sonny told him it's important to have the courage of your convictions, to keep your word, and to protect your family. He assured the boy that even if he gets sent away he will still love and respect Dante, because that's what fathers do. Carly went to the penthouse and asked Sam to lie in court by claiming she lied in her previous statements. When Jason returned later, he told Sam about Dante wanting nothing to do with his father. Jason realized he could be in the same situation with Jake one day, and hopes his son realizes he always acted out of love.

Lucky asked Luke if he's to blame for putting Elizabeth in Shady Brook, and lamented being so hard on her. He pondered just telling her what she wants to hear, but Luke called that a bad idea, noting that people need to fight their personal demons alone. "Elizabeth an I are over," Lucky admitted, but Cam and Jake need a mother. Luke asked if Lucky has "had your fill of raising other men's children?" Lucky bemoaned not being able to tell Liz how he really feels because he's afraid she's clinging to hopes of reconciliation. At Shady Brook, Helena cheered Elizabeth for creating a "permanent rift" between Lucky and Nikolas. Liz grasped the belt of her robe and acted like she wanted to strangle the witch. But she settled for calling her a bitch and throwing a chair. An orderly restrained her, and Helena casually mentioned giving the facility "an obscene endowment" to make sure Elizabeth — and the Cassadine heir she's carrying — are well cared-for. Alone, Liz had a fantasy about being in a catatonic state in a rocking chair while being visited by Lucky, Nikolas and Jason — who all criticize her. In the real world,Nik summoned Alexis and explained he wants her to act as his lawyer and draw up papers to protect his legal rights to Liz's child.
Patrick visited Elizabeth, who wondered if he was real. He passed along encouragement from Robin, and Liz advised him not to keep secrets from his wife. "We're human; we're imperfect" he said. Nikolas summoned Lucky to Wyndemere and told him he intends to marry Elizabeth. "I can't stop you," Lucky intoned. Later, Luke dropped by to warn Nik that if Helena touches Lucky, Elizabeth, Lulu or Ethan, he will take revenge.

Diane tried to work with Sonny on his defense story, but was uneasy about placing his future in the hands of his ex-wife. That ex, meanwhile, was visiting Dante, who proclaimed, "Sonny's finished," and noted the evidence against the kingpin. Carly suggested Dante could say he falsified the evidence. "I don't lie," he said. She countered that he lied for months, and "what's one more lie among family?"As Sonny outlined his story to Diane, Jason arrived and declared, "I can't let you do that."

After Patrick left, Helena appeared and scolded her for throwing herself at Patrick, calling Liz a "sexual predator" and "the town tramp." Lucky burst in, gun drawn, and warned Helena to back off, or he'd blow her head off!

Friday

Jason pointed out that if Sonny claims he killed Claudia in self-defense, he will go to prison, but Sonny insisted on doing it his way, because that would protect Michael. He assured Jason that he would flee the country of the trial starts going south. Meanwhile, Carly scolded Dante for "using" her kids to build his case against Sonny, and she doubted he wants to send his father to jail. Dante pointed out that Sonny is not a good father, he's a gangster, but Carly was only concerned that Sonny "won't last" in prison. Olivia burst in and told Carly not to ask her son to lie. Carly pointed out that Liv's lies put Dante in that hospital bed. Olivia admitted she should have told Dante the truth, but she had her reasons. Carly said if Olivia does what she needs to do to protect her kids, so will she. After Carly left, Dante pointed out that Liv lied to him for his whole life. She insisted she did it because she wanted him to have a normal life, not one scarred by violence. And she didn't tell him last summer because she didn't want him to have to deal will the fact that his father is a criminal, she added. He wondered if she secretly wants him to lie on the stand because she still loves Sonny. She told him to respect himself and tell the truth. Downstairs, Carly ran into Jason, who was upset that Carly needed to lie to support Sonny's lie. When Jason admitted that he will take over if Sonny flees, she wondered how he would stop Dante from coming after him. Olivia told Sonny that Carly was pressuring Dante to lie. Sonny said it's not his fault Dante is in a hospital bed — it's because she lied, and, "You really, really need to own that."

At Wyndemere, Luke blasted Nikolas for reigniting the Spencer/Cassadine feud. At Shadybrook, Helena faced down the gun-wielding Lucky by calling Elizabeth "a little tramp," and calling him "a small-town cop who drinks too much." She said if Liz is carrying the Cassadine heir, that makes her Nik's responsibility and would free up Lucky. But Lucky vowed to protect Elizabeth and baby no matter who is the father. Helena withdrew, and Lucky held a sobbing Elizabeth. She told him he has no obligation to her baby, no matter if he's the father. He promised not to leave her alone. "I deserve to be shut out," she sobbed. He said she self-sabotages, and needs to deal with that. He noted they've both made horrible mistakes, but "we're still a family." She asked if he forgives her, and he said, "Yes, I forgive you," but his tears said, "No." At The Haunted Star, Ethan recapped for Lulu, who had no sympathy for the woman tearing her family apart. Helena dropped in on Luke, who warned her away from his kin. Luke contemplated snapping her neck, but she insisted they are on the same side. Nikolas visited Elizabeth to tell her, "I'm still in love with you."

A teary Sonny screamed at Olivia, "I never got a chance to know my son!" She said they were just teenagers when she got pregnant, and he was already a criminal. Sonny sobbed that he could have been the father Dante loves, "instead of the man that he hates." Dante went to the hospital roof, and Jason just happened to stroll by. A fearful Dante realized a guy who needs to be silenced could "fall" off that roof.

Maxie brought Kate's car to Johnny's garage. He noted the garage is just a front for destroying Sonny. Later, at the pier, Ethan strolled into the middle of a firefight between Max and Milo and an unseen Johnny. While driving Kate's car home, Maxie became distracted just as Lucky was coming the opposite way, and they both swerved off the road...
