Monday

Olivia was on the phone with Jax and told him that there hasn't been much progress in the son department. Jax covered when Carly approached and inquired whose son he was talking about. After he hung up with Olivia, Morgan entered the room. Jax advised him on how to behave when Michael returns and what to do when/if he loses control again. Morgan wasn't sure about "snitching" on his brother at his parents' request.

In Mexico, Michael explained to Jason that he needs to figure out his own life and stay there, adding that he's happy they arrived to take Kristina but he's not budging. Jason revealed that Alexis confessed so Michael is not guilty of the crime. He was floored but still didn't want to return to PC. Jason urged him to think of his family. Meanwhile, Kristina admitted to Sam that she forced Claudia off the road that night. Sam explained that she knows the truth and that it was too late when Alexis took the blame. Sam blasted her for not telling the truth and facing the consequences of her actions, adding that lying about it makes it worse. Kristina reasoned that Alexis covered for her because she's just an overbearing mom. Later, Jason entered and Kristina confessed to him. She apologized but didn't get the scolding she expected. Instead, Jason echoed Sam's sentiment about making mistakes and how you deal with facing them.

Back in PC, Alexis and Sonny tried to come up with the right plan of action regarding Kristina's crime. Sonny promised not to let their daughter suffer more than necessary but pointed out that she needs to come clean. Alexis said they must step up and be there for her to help her get through it. Sonny agreed and admitted that he's been an absentee father to Kristina. Alexis noted that Kristina started acting out when Michael woke up. Claudia was stunned as she overheard their conversation unnoticed and angrily went to Johnny to say that they're covering up for Kristina.

Olivia told Dominic that with Sonny's kids coming home, things will go back to normal and there's a chance his cover could be blown so she urged him to get out of town before Jason figures everything out. She threatened to find a way to force her son out of town if he doesn't do it on his own. Dominic begged his mom to trust him and chided her for being so overprotective; she worried that Sonny will kill him if he learns the truth. Dom surmised that Olivia's relationship with Johnny might thwart the plan. They told each other to be careful and parted ways.

Keifer brought cookies over for Molly and told her that he's not a big jerk like Morgan makes him out to be. Alexis came home. Keifer said he knew K was coming home, which is why he stopped by. Then he asked Alexis if he can still see her when she gets back. Keifer turned the tables and said Kristina made a huge mistake when she ran off with Michael, adding that he thinks Michael is dragging her down. Alexis asked Keifer to help support Kristina when she gets back, adding that she needs good influences. Meanwhile, back in Mexico, Kristina wondered why Michael isn't going home even now that he's off the hook and begged him to help her face her parents.

Sonny approached Dominic and summoned Carly and Jax as well to say that he assigned Dominic as Morgan/Michael's guard. They were all stunned and against it. Sonny pleaded his case; Dom was wary. Jax stepped in and surmised that having a guard would make Michael act out even more. Claudia entered and made some veiled comments to Carly about how great it must feel knowing her child is safe inside her and also thanked Carly for pulling her out of the car that night. Later, Carly could sense that Jax was uptight about Dominic and demanded he tell her what's going on. Carly got distracted when the baby kicked and pointed out the awkward moment when Claudia mentioned the baby. "I feel bad for her but that creeped me out," she said. Meanwhile, Johnny went to see Olivia to talk about Dominic and asked what he does for a living. She was thrown and said he's a firefighter.

Sam told Jason Mexico reminds her of Hawaii. She suggested they take a walk or swim until the jet arrives. Jason agreed and they kissed; Kristina and Michael interrupted. On the jet, Jason told the teens that he's keeping mum about Jerry shooting him until after Carly's baby is born.

Sonny told Claudia that they need to talk about Kristina and revealed the truth to her. Claudia tried to stay calm. "We lost our baby because of Kristina," she said. He apologized; she listened as he explained the plan to keep Kristina's actions under wraps and let everyone believe Alexis did it. Claudia brought up her own troubled youth and agreed to move past it.

Tuesday

Claudia told Sonny she was eager to welcome Kristina home — which didn't sound right to him. She said she wants to get to know Kristina better, but Sonny voiced surprise that Claudia wasn't holding a grudge. Claudia claimed Kristina didn't mean to kill their child, so she's moving forward.

Sam brought Kristina home to the lake house, where Molly was ecstatic and a weepy Alexis hugged her close and demanded an explanation. Molly interjected that Kristina didn't have to lie about causing the accident, because their mother confessed. Kristina that she was upset over Kiefer that night, and now her life is over. But Alexis assured her that was not the case. Sam was angry at Alexis for taking the fall, and demanded that Krissy look Sonny and Claudia in the eye and admit she is responsible for killing their baby. Kristina agreed to face her father. Meanwhile, Jason escorted Michael home, where Morgan, Jax and Carly welcomed him. Michael apologized and vowed to make better decisions. Carly and Jax thanked Jason for bringing the kids home. Morgan and Carly insisted Michael live with them, and he hesitated but agreed when Jax pointed out isolation won't help his family. Carly and Michael agreed they still love each other. Later, a woozy Jason reported to Sonny that Jerry almost killed him. He recapped that when Jerry left him for dead he asked if Claudia was involved in Michael's shooting, and Jerry laughed and "implied" she was innocent. Sonny was convinced that sadist Jerry told the truth. A skeptical Jason played the tape of Claudia ordering Fredo to kill Jerry. Sonny was unconvinced and declared that Ian and Jerry — "nobody else" — were responsible for Michael's shooting.

Later, Sam said Alexis should not be cleaning up after Kristina, but Alexis insisted she's reacting as a mother helping a child who made a mistake. Sam was aghast that she called a baby's death a "mistake," and warned her mother that one day Krissy will "spiral out of control." Sam next went to the penthouse with Jason, where she groused about Alexis coddling Krissy. He griped about Sonny siding with Claudia. Then Jason abruptly kissed her. They smooched until Maxie and Spinelli walked in.

At G.H., Patrick told Matt and Elizabeth his and Robin's theory that Andrea Floyd killed her husband's mistress in a jealous rage. But it would help to have a witness. Down the hall, Andrea ran into Edward, who mentioned seeing her at Metro Court a couple of months ago. When she feigned ignorance, Edward recalled that it was the night her husband's assistant died, which spooked Andrea. Later, she listened as Edward discussed the positive results of his heart test. Andrea spied a nurse leaving a cart packed with deadly drugs unattended in the corridor. Andrea stole some digitalis.

Jax went to Metro Court, where he told Olivia that once Carly gives birth, he is going to tell her "the truth." Claudia, meanwhile, visited Johnny to tell him Jerry didn't give her up to Jason — or else she would be dead already. Johnny was disgusted. When Kristina visited her father, he scolded her for running off. She said she didn't want Michael to be alone, but admitted the accident was her fault, but she had been too scared to admit it. As Claudia eavesdropped, Sonny assured Krissy that she made a mistake, and no one blames her. Alone at home, Michael told Jax about running into Jerry — who imprisoned them and almost killed Jason. Jax said Carly cannot know Jerry was there, but after the baby is born he will tell her everything. When Carly came in, Michael suddenly had a memory of Jax talking to him while he was in his coma. He remembered Jax saying, "I'm sorry I let it get to this point."

Wednesday

Spinelli was enchanted by the thought of Sam and Jason reuniting, but Sam was uncomfortable and left. Maxie berated Jason for not going after Sam — and also for not agreeing with Spinelli's enthusiasm, then chased after Sam. Jason told Spinelli that Sam helped find Michael and Kristina — and that's all he needs to know. Spinelli told Jason he's getting married Sept. 25, and asked Stone Cold to be his best man. Maxie pressed Sam about her relationship with Jason, and filled in the blanks herself. Sam insisted they're friends who sometimes...work together. Maxie admitted that while she loves Spinelli, she doesn't really want to get married. But she hasn't been able to tell Spinelli the truth. Back at the penthouse, Jason agreed to stand up for his friend, but balked at wearing a pink tie. Maxie returned and urged Jason to take Sam on a date to the carnival.

At G.H., Edward looked forward to the upcoming carnival. Matt spotted Andrea, who fled before he could spot the digitalis she stole. Matt told Patrick that Andrea was spying on him. Monica found Edward at Metro Court, celebrating his clean bill of health with a drink. She asked him to attend tomorrow night's fund-raiser to schmooze the big spenders. She offered to arrange for a car, but Edward insisted on driving. Elsewhere, Andrea examined the digitalis, and mused about how it can induce cardiac arrest.

Michael said he recalled Jax saying he was sorry. Jax suggested he was apologizing for not being there in general for Carly and Michael. Meanwhile, Kristina was at Sonny's, where he apologized for not being around to support Kristina. Krissy recounted her litany of crimes, but Sonny assured her that feeling guilty is punishment enough. He doesn't want this mistake to derail her whole life. When Max interrupted with business. Sonny told Kristina he would take her to the carnival, and sent her away with cash to buy a new dress. Max reported that the police intercepted the latest shipment, prompting Sonny to wonder if he has another leak. Dominic reported to Carly's place for bodyguard duty. Morgan was thrilled, but when Michael refused to be guarded, so did Morgan. Alone, Dominic convinced Michael that Morgan needs to be guarded — but won't agree without his big brother's approval. So Michael accepted Dom for Morgan's sake. Later, Sonny visited, and told Michael he would have forgiven him even if he had caused Claudia's accident. Then he invited the boys to the carnival. At the pier, Krissy ran into Claudia, and apologized. Claudia called it an accident, and wanted to put it all behind them. "Live for today" she sad.

Earlier, Elizabeth had run into Nikolas at the pier, and invited him and Spencer to the carnival with her and Lucky and the boys. When Rebecca came by, Nik kissed her and invited Rebecca to the carnival, too. Back at Wyndemere, Nik told Alfred he is going to encourage Rebecca to dress and act like Emily, and then he will expose her as a fraud and be done with her. When Rebecca later arrived at Wyndemere, Nik presented her with a red dress that Emily might wear.

In the floor of Olivia's apartment, she and Johnny basked in the afterglow, and he asked her to be his date for the carnival. When she talked about being busy with work, he asked if she was worried about Sonny seeing them. She insisted Sonny is not part of her life. Cue Sonny knocking on her door! Johnny poured wine while a distracted Sonny babbled about the carnival then left. Later, Dante arrived, looking for lasagna, and Olivia scolded him for showing up unannounced, pointing out that he barely missed Sonny and Johnny.

As carnival music played, a montage of images of carnival rides, confetti and a car melded with Jason inviting Sam to the carnival, and Andrea hissing, "I never did like you, Edward."

Thursday

Sam went to the penthouse to ask Jason if he really wanted to take her to the carnival. She knew that's not really his scene, so Maxie and Spinelli must have forced him. Carly arrived, and was stunned to see Sam. Flustered, Sam fled. Then Carly practically had a panic attack. "You and Sam are back together?" she shrieked. "You are sleeping with Sam!" Jason didn't want to talk about it (big surprise), but Carly offered advice anyway. She warned him not to try to act too casual about it, or they would ruin everything. At the PI office, Spinelli told Maxie he can't go to the carnival, because he has a new client — a real estate broker concerned about his partner, Deidre Evans, disappearing. When Maxie pressed him on attending, he confessed he's "deathly afraid of clowns." Then Sam arrived, and she took the case off his hands so Spinelli could go with Maxie. Spinelli explained that his grandmother used to set the table with a milk pitcher that had a gruesome face on it. It made little Spinelli cry and left him with a lifelong fear of clowns and hatred of milk. Maxie suggested a way to cure him. Later, at the penthouse, Jason told Bernie to cancel the next shipment. Then Sam arrived and told him she has to work, so he's off the hook for the carnival. "I wanna go with you," he insisted. Then a morose Spinelli strolled in, dressed like a clown. "I am the embodiment of what terrifies me the most," he sighed.

At Wyndemere, Rebecca loved her new, Emily-esque dress. Nikolas suggested letting her hair go back to its natural color, brown, like Emily's. She was hesitant, but agreed. Later, Elizabeth, Lucky and the boys met Nik, Rebecca and Spencer at the pier, where they noticed the red dress. Elizabeth privately confronted Nik, accusing him of setting Rebecca up for revenge. Liz warned it will hurt him more than Rebecca. At the lake house, Kristina fretted that her father would back out of going to the carnival. Alexis warned her that she's not going to to the carnival alone with Michael. Enter Michael, who suggested taking his sister to watch the carnival set up. Alexis nixed that. At G.H., Patrick and Elizabeth were talking about the carnival setting up in the hospital parking lot when Robin announced that she had found a witness who could put Andrea at the Metro Court the night of Brianna's murder. She privately told Patrick the witness is Edward. She said Spinelli found Edward's bar tab and a room reservation under the name JL Holt — which Robin knew stood for Jimmy Lee Holt, one of Edward's illegitimate children.

Later, Andrea approached Edward at Metro Court after checking the digitalis in her purse. When he got a call, she slipped a few drops into his martini. When he returned, instead of drinking the deadly cocktail, he ordered her one and babbled about Alexis. Andrea toasted to "a long life," but before he could take a sip, he spilled his martini on her. At Kelly's, Dominic asked Lulu when she wanted him to pick her up for the carnival. "That's not gonna happen," she scoffed. Then Matt asked her to the carnival, and she accepted.

At G.H., Robin and Monica insisted that Patrick go to the meet-and-greet to schmooze big-spenders. At Metro Court, Edward was chatting with a beautiful blonde when Robin and Patrick arrived. When Monica joined them, Edward introduced her as Deidre Evans, who manages real-estate holdings. Elsewhere in the restaurant, Alexis recapped about Kristina for Jax, who asked what consequences Krissy faces. Alexis said she has to live with guilt for the rest of her life because she made a bad decision with Michael. Jax wondered if she was blaming Michael for Krissy's problems. Back at G.H., Lulu told Carly and Olivia about this guy who's hitting on her: Dominic. Olivia reacted like she'd suffered a brain embolism, and then Dominic rolled up. When Lulu bolted, Olivia explained to Dom that, "No means no." he snapped back and stormed off. Carly noted, "Dominic reminds me a lot of Sonny."

In a prison visiting room, Anthony noted that the carnival will attract everyone in town, so, "I think I'll send over a little surprise of my own."

Friday

As they were about to head to the carnival, Claudia assured Sonny she didn't blame Kristina for their baby's death. Maybe if she spent some time with Kristina, it would help her move on with her life, offered a sly Claudia. When Sonny and Claudia found Morgan, Michael, Molly and bodyguard Dominic at the carnival, Dominic was relieved of bodyguard duties to head to the "dunk a hunk" tank. Sonny and Kristina saw the fortune teller, who told Kristina she faced danger that day, from where she least expected it. Afterward, Claudia caught Kristina making out with Kiefer. Kristina begged Claudia not to tell Sonny. Claudia offered to help Kristina with the Kiefer situation, but wanted to talk in private. She suggested the ferris wheel, noting, "Nothing like dangling 50 feet in the air..."

At the carnival kick-off party, Andrea insisted on buying Edward a drink. She poured digitalis into it while Edward was distracted by Deidre talking about the hotel room she'd just booked for them. To Andrea's chagrin, Monica, assuming Edward was about to drive, dumped out Edward's drink. Monica offered to drop Edward off at the carnival, but he insisted he could drive himself. As soon as Monica left, Andrea grabbed Edward again and procured another martini. While he was on the phone with Deidre, who was now waiting for him upstairs, she again slipped drugs in his drink and this time, bullied him into drinking to his health.

Elizabeth accused Nikolas of faking his affection for Rebecca. "I know exactly what I'm doing," said a stony-faced Nik. Maybe he didn’t care about himself, but he should think about how his actions affected Spencer, warned Liz. Meanwhile, Lucky and Rebecca found Ethan playing carny at one of the games. It looked like she was wearing someone else's clothes, Ethan observed of Rebecca's Emily-like frock. Later, Nikolas arrived at Ethan’s booth, and hurled a ball at Ethan instead of the milk cartons.

While they were in bed post-sex, Max complained that he and Diane don't talk. They can discuss books ... when he reads something, Diane offered. As she dressed to attend the carnival party, Max sulked that she thought he wasn't good enough to escort her. "I feel like a sexual abject," he complained. It's sexual object, corrected Diane. He doesn't want to be her plaything, said a hurt Max before storming out.

Robin tossed balls to drench Patrick in the dunk tank. "You throw like a girl," taunted Patrick. Matt and Lulu showed up. Lulu hit the mark...except the tank was apparently rigged, because Patrick didn't fall into the water. Robin had no luck, and Max’s powerhouse ("Take this, Diane!") toss wasn’t hard enough, either. But little Molly’s toss, based on a mathematical formula, did the trick. Next in the tank were Ethan, Johnny, Dominic, who also took baths thanks to Molly. Shortly after, Matt had to bail on Lulu to go to work, leaving her with Dominic, still soggy from the dunk tank.

Dressed as a clown to overcome his fear of clowns, Spinelli wandered the grounds, traumatizing little children.

Sam and Jason reviewed her new detective case involving Deidre. Sam got a message that Deidre just booked a room at the Metro Court (the one she’d gotten to share with Edward). Sam and Jason hustled to the hotel to stake out the room. As Sam playfully showed her camera to Jason, they were caught by a guest who assumed they were casing the joint. Twirling her hair, Sam "explained" they were just looking for a place to have their wedding. Wishing them luck, the guest left them alone to discuss the meaning of Deidre’s expensive lingerie purchase.

In prison, Anthony growled, "Sonny better grab that brass ring at the carnival because when they get back to work on Monday, there won’t be anything left..." Later, black-clad men loaded weapons.
