GH Week of August 3, 2009

Monday

Kristina vowed to stick by Michael on the run. They got on a bus and Kristina complained about her overbearing mom and felt bad about putting so much stress on Sam. Michael told her that she's better off without him and that her future is bright and wondered why she'd risk it all to be with him. Kristina tried to prove that she’s not the goody-goody Alexis makes her out to be. She got emotional when Michael mentioned losing control of the car that
killed their baby brother. "Stop talking about it! Let's just make it an accident so it's not anyone's fault!" she yelled.

At Jake's, Lucky and Ethan beat up Dominic. Lulu was angry and blasted them for hurting him. "They're just on edge cause they're scared of me," Dominic smiled, then made a crack about his relationship with Lulu, which just angered Lucky more so he threw another punch. Nikolas and Rebecca also stepped in. Lulu took him to G.H. to get cleaned up and make sure he doesn't have a concussion. Dom didn't think he needed to be checked out but Epiphany quickly put him back in line. "Dude lets himself get beat to a pulp and still goes home with the chick!" Coleman cracked. Rebecca urged Lucky and Ethan to give Lulu some respect and back off like she asked them to. Ethan approached Rebecca and pointed out how sickening she's behaving with Nik. "You're nothing but a stand-in for your dead twin to him," he scowled.

Jerry phoned Claudia from a plane. She surmised that Michael will come home when he realizes he's exonerated. Jerry vowed to keep that from happening and if it does happen, "Mr. Morgan will become the new target," he declared before hanging up. Meanwhile, Sam and Jason continued to hit the road searching for the teens and expressed their concerns, pointing out how dangerous it is for them to be on the road. They decided to check out two Mexico locations. Jason was wary when Sam suggested they split up for efficiency, citing the dangers of traveling alone. She scoffed.

Johnny came by to see Claudia and questioned his sis's relationship with Sonny. She insisted that they have a connection now that they've been through hell and back. He wasn't so sure and told her that he spied Sonny making out with Olivia. Meanwhile, Sonny paid Olivia a visit to figure out the terms of their relationship. Sonny explained that he's just seeing Claudia through her surgery and doesn't really love her, adding that he's between a rock and a hard place with the women in his life. She didn't want anything to do wit him; he called her out on sleeping with Johnny but told her they can't deny the connection they share. Olivia admitted that she used
to be madly in love with him but she knew he was bad news then and he still is today. She declared that she deserves better than to be his play thing whenever he desires. Sonny agreed that she does deserve better than him; she kicked him out. Later, Johnny showed up. Olivia explained she told Sonny she never wants to see him again. "You're too good for the guy, anyway," Johnny tried to convince her. They agreed to put it behind them and quickly fell into bed.

Back at G.H., Mike gave Sonny some sound advice on marriage and advised him to either step up and make it work or walk away when it comes to his relationship with Claudia. Sonny agreed he needs to make a choice and said it's best for everyone if he just makes a clean break. Meanwhile, Claudia woke up with a start after having a happy dream about Sonny coming to pick her and their new baby up from the hospital. Then Sonny entered the room.

Sam fell asleep in the car; Jason stole a few glances and placed a jacket over her shoulders as their song played in the background. When she woke up, Sam admitted that the moment reminds her of spending time behind the wheel with her brother Danny. They had a sweet exchange and she thanked him for being so kind and remembering Danny after he passed away. Then she teased him about his sweet tooth as they approached an exit and split up.
Meanwhile, Michael promised Kristina everything would work out just as the bus driver announced the next stop is El Paso. They readied themselves to put on an act and cross the border. Jerry watched them from afar.

Tuesday

Nikolas racked the balls at Jake's for Rebecca. If she wins, she can ask anything of him; if he wins, she moves out of the Quartermaine mansion and back in with him. Nik lost, so she fired up the jukebox (B-17) and asked him to dance. Then she took him home, but Edward spotted them and threw Nik out. Rebecca scolded Edward for humiliating her and threatened to move out, so he threatened to tell Nik that she took money.

At G.H., Claudia told Sonny she dreamed of holding their son — a son they never named — and she was happy. Then Patrick told her she can go home tomorrow. Sonny regretted denying the child, and when he suggested it was taken away as punishment, Claudia bristled and blamed Alexis. Sonny resolved that they try to be nice to each other, and asked her to come home with him. Elsewhere, Patrick told Robin that Alexis confessed to running Claudia off the road. They reasoned that maybe Alexis really was obsessed with the mayor and thus had motive to kill Brianna. Elizabeth and Robin debated the possibility that Alexis could have killed again (recalling Alcazar). Then Liz suggested a Girls' Night Out. Robin admitted she can't drink, but wanted the companionship. Patrick encouraged her to go, but she fretted over Alexis. She spotted an intern with case files bound for PCPD, and hijacked the evidence. Later, Patrick found her still laboring over the evidence file, and pitched in. Then she realized that Brianna's head injury indicated she was hit by someone shorter than the mayor — which could be either Alexis or Andrea. At PCPD, Alexis fretted over the consequences for Kristina if the truth ever gets out. Mac said Alexis could be charged with murder — and letting Michael confess looked bad for her. Lucky arrived with the mayor and Mrs. Floyd, who called Alexis "deranged." Alexis secretly appealed to Garrett to help her by telling the truth. Andrea separated them, and Garrett said Alexis made a scene that night — and added, "This is now out of my hands."

When Liz got to Jake's, she ran into Ethan, who recapped about thumping Dominic, and Nik leaving with Rebecca. He hit on her, but she shot him down. Ethan visited Rebecca, and accused her of backing out of their deal. She said she wants something real with Nik. "I don't want the money anymore," he said. "I want you." Later, when Nik arrived at Jake's, Liz was still alone, because Lainey bailed, too. He suggested making it "old friends' night out." She attempted to teach him "Lick it, slam it, suck it," but he was hopeless. He predicted he'd be back with Rebecca in a week. But then he admitted, "Every time I get drunk, I really want to kiss you."

In the afterglow of making love, Johnny told Olivia he's starting to care about her — and wanted to make sure she's not interested in Sonny. She didn't want to talk about it. They decided he should go out and get food. Johnny spotted a photo of Dante, and Liv noted she has no recent shots if him. And no, she has not told her son about Johnny. In the emergency room, Epiphany arrived to administer Dominic a tetanus shot. When he removed his shirt Epiphany saw his gunshot wound, and announced she had to report it. He protested that Lucky was involved in an unfair fight. Lulu agreed that would look bad for her brother, so Epiphany agreed to break the law and not report it. Then Epiphany was summoned away, leaving Dominic to work some bad pick-up lines with Lulu. He feigned dizziness and asked her to go home with him, but she dumped him. Johnny brought Olivia Chinese food and flowers, but they hopped on the couch and got busy. Then Dominic walked in and got an eyeful!

Wednesday

Elizabeth and Nikolas slammed shots at Jake's. "When I'm drunk, I like trouble," she purred. She called Rebecca lucky because she gets to kiss Nik whenever she wants — and doesn't even deserve him. Liz admitted their kiss caught her by surprise, but "felt kinda right." Still, she averred, they're "much better off as friends." Nick was crestfallen as she noted too many people need them to stay he way they are. He called her the love of Lucky's life. "I'm not the one you really want," she said. "Sure about that?" he asked. "I'm not." Meanwhile, at the old Quartermaine place, Rebecca reminded Ethan that his role is advice and support. Ethan said he's surrounded by a family of strangers and needs one person who knows who he is. He bemoaned Luke suddenly disappearing. "I need you," he said. "I can't be your rock," she replied, noting that Nik finally sees her as her own person now. "The con is over," she insisted. He pulled her into a kiss. "I know who you really are," he said on his way out. "The prince never will." At Jake's, Nikolas recalled how Liz has grown up right in front of him. He proposed they swear never to drink together again.

At G.H., Claudia asked if Sonny wants to stay married. He said it's not the right time to make changes. He feared that confronting Michael made him go on the run when he was innocent. Sonny vowed to treat her with "the respect you deserve," and left. At Olivia's place, she cowered in a corner as Johnny told interloper Dominic to tell Sonny his personal time is nobody's business. After Dom left, Liv slugged wine straight from the bottle. Olivia said she wondered what she looked like to "that guy" — "it wasn't pretty." Lulu was filling in as waitress at Kelly's when Dominic came in, looking sour. She thought he was stalking her, but he lives there. He told her there are some things you don't want to picture your mother doing. Lulu advised him to stay out of it. He asked if she'd want her mom to date a guy like him. Sonny arrived to ask Lulu if she knows where Michael went. After Lulu left, Sonny told Dom that Lulu is "under my protection," and her father is "one of my closest friends." Dominic asked what Sonny would do if he found out his mother was dating a guy the same age as you? Sonny noted Dominic's mother did good job raising him, but Dom insisted his mother is losing her mind. Then Olivia walked in. "You shouldn't be working for this guy," she told Dom, calling it "a dead end," then left. "She's crazy about me" Sonny smiled. Dom looked sick.

At G.H., Robin and Patrick summoned Alexis and tossed her a set of keys — which Alexis caught left-handed. Later, Robin noted Brianna's assailant was right-handed, and she's wondered if Andrea is right-handed.

Sam checked in with Spinelli from Vera Cruz, Mexico, sure the kids are headed for Cancun. In Cancun, Michael and Kristina went to an Internet cafe to look for a hotel and check for news from home. While they surfed, Krissy feared they were being watched. Meanwhile, Jerry called Claudia, who told him Michael is innocent, so he should leave the kids alone. Jerry looked forward to seeing Jason and especially Sam, who are also tailing the kids. Claudia said she hopes Jerry kills Jason, but if Michael and Kristina are killed, "I'll give you up in a heartbeat." Jerry said he could not guarantee anyone's safety. Johnny suddenly burst into Claudia's room and freaked out that she sicced Jerry on the kids. "You are one crazy bitch!" he screamed. "You deserve whatever you got coming to you!" He worried Jerry will kill Michael and do unspeakable things to Kristina, but Claudia countered that Jerry will kill Jason. "I'm done!" Johnny declared, vowing to tell Sonny that Claudia set up Michael's shooting and sent Jerry after the kids. Claudia protested that she loves her brother, but he scoffed: "You're on our own." In Mexico, Sam entered the cafe, but Michael and Krissy had already fled — leaving their computer logged on to the Port Charles Herald Online.

Thursday

Alexis banned Molly from the Internet to shield her from the gossip there. Molly asked if Claudia's accident was really her fault. Alexis dodged the question, and Molly suggested that if Alexis had come forward sooner, Michael and Kristina would not have run off. Alexis promised Sam would bring Krissy home. Later, Diane came by to urge Alexis to tell the truth about the accident — while Molly was eavesdropping. Alexis suggested Krissy's whole life could be derailed by this mistake, so she won't let that happen.

In Mexico, Kristina tried to write Molly a postcard, but Michael warned her not to. He said they need jobs, and they need to contact Enrique. While Jerry eavesdropped at the Internet cafe, Sam questioned the owner, then told Spinelli she found the computer the kids used. In between talk of tracking bus routes and hotels, Spinelli pestered Sam for advice about Maxie. Sam suggested asking Mac for Maxie's hand, and urged him to listen to whatever Maxie says. If she's hedging on the proposal, she may not be ready to marry yet. Spinelli told Sam about her mother confessing to causing Claudia's accident. And that she's a suspect in Brianna's murder. Back in Port Charles, Carly reassured Morgan that Jason will bring Michael home. Morgan worried about Carly's stress, and later tried to get her to eat some carrots. When Max arrived with cards to play gin rummy, she figured out Jax sent him. Back in Mexico, Michael decided to risk one e-mail to Morgan. When Morgan read it, he learned the kids are okay, and asked for Mercedes to take him to Molly's; Carly approved. At the lake house, Molly told Morgan that Krissy ran Claudia off the road and Alexis is covering for her.Jax returned home and demanded to know why Carly was walking around instead of resting. She assured him she is relaxed because Jason will find the kids.

At G.H., Robin summoned Andrea and repeated her key-catching test: Andrea is right-handed. A surly Andrea suggested Mac build a case against Alexis fast. After she left, Robin and Patrick went over the evidence, but Patrick called it "thin" — and tossed Robin the keys; she caught them with both hands. Later, Andrea warned Mac to make sure Alexis is convicted — or the mayor will rethink who's running the police department. Robin was determined to prove Andrea is guilty. At Kelly's, Lulu met with Maxie, who was obsessing over an IT problem at Crimson. Lulu pressed her about telling Spinelli she doesn't want to get married. Maxie arranged a family dinner, and invited Lulu. When Lulu wondered if she planned to tell Mac about Spinelli's proposal, Maxie assured her there would be "no drama, no conflict." Meanwhile, Spinelli ranted to Diane and Max about his romantic dilemma. Max said asking Mac's permission was a good idea, and Diane concurred. Spinelli resolved to do it that night. At the Quartermaine manse, Rebecca found Edward indulging in memories of Lila. He showed her photos in a scrapbook, and gushed about how beautiful and kind she was. "Today would have been our anniversary," he lamented.

In Mexico, Jerry searched Michael and Kristina's room, finding the postcard. At the cafe, Kristina found the travel info they needed, but when they left the cafe they were immediately surrounded by knife-wielding thugs. A gun-wielding Sam then found the kids' room and left a message for Jason saying she's waiting there. In an alley, the muggers threatened to kill Michael and "keep the pretty girl around." Jerry suddenly appeared and snarled, "You two punks made a grievous error."

Friday

Sonny ordered Spinelli to get an update on Michael and Kristina from Jason, but Spinelli said Jason isn't responding to calls. At home, Jax suggested rethinking where Michael should live, but Carly insisted he stay with her. Jax said Michael ran away as a well-meaning attempt to spare his family grief. Olivia arrived and told Carly her son just found out she's sleeping with a guy his own age. Carly recounted how Michael objected to Jax at first. When Liv admitted she wouldn't think twice about dating Johnny if she didn't have a son, Carly said that means she belongs with Johnny. At the lake house, Morgan made Molly pinky-swear not to tell anyone about Michael's text. Keifer showed up to ask for news from "K." When Keifer disparaged Michael, Sonny appeared and told him Michael can fend for himself just fine. Sonny ushered Keifer out, and asked the children if Michael contacted them; they both said no. Then Sonny took Morgan home, where Carly announced that she and Jax want Michael to live with them. Jax pointed out Sonny has no legal rights to Michael. Carly assured Sonny he can visit anytime, so he agreed. Meanwhile, Molly texted Kristina, begging her to come home. Keifer returned and pressured Molly, who admitted Michael texted Morgan, but didn't reveal his location. Keifer freaked and started breaking stuff.

Dominic asked Spinelli for help figuring out from a cell phone number who was running a Zacchara drug shipment. After Spinelli got the information, he groused about Maxie. Dominic encouraged him to ask her father for her hand in marriage, noting, "You can talk your way into anything if you want it bad enough." Meanwhile, Maxie and Lulu went to Mac's, where Lulu encouraged her to tell Mac about Spinelli's proposal. At G.H., Patrick was skeptical of Robin's theory that Andrea is the murderer, so she accused him of buckling under to Mac's pressure. Later, when Robin arrived at the Scorpio family dinner, Maxie told her about the proposal. Robin advised doing nothing. If Mac forbids her from marrying Spinelli, then Mac is the bad guy, not Maxie! Patrick noted that Mac will probably will arrest Spinelli. Then Mac arrived. Robin tried to goad her into sharing the "big news," but Maxie covered — until Spinelli arrived with "manly flowers" for a surly Mac. He made his pitch, and Mac fumed.

In the alley in Vera Cruz, Mexico, Jerry took out one mugger, but the other held Michael at knife-point. Jerry signaled Michael, then knocked out the other guy. The trio fled the scene, but Jerry said he had to go back for his phone. He went back and shot the muggers dead. Michael heard the shots, but covered to Kristina. Jerry pretended to be in Vera Cruz on business, and didn't know why the kids were there. He brought them to an apartment, and encouraged them to be honest. At Krissy's urging, Michael recapped about the accident. Jerry plied the kids with flattery about how adult they are behaving — and told Krissy he understands how Alexis pressures people to be perfect. Jerry was skeptical that Enrique won't contact Sonny, and he invited the teens to stay in the apartment as long as they like, then left. Michael was suspicious, but Krissy thought he was nice for helping. Meanwhile, Sam found the alley — and the bodies a Dumpster. She questioned a waiter, who saw the kids get in a cab, and found out where they went. Sam crept up on a doorway, but Jerry got the drop on her and held gun to her head.

Dante confronted Olivia about Johnny, calling her liaison "undignified." Olivia got indignant and refused to break it off. Dante reminded that she raised him to avoid organized crime. He called Johnny a walking target, and he doesn't want her caught in the crossfire. "I don't like pretending that I don't know you," she shouted. He countered with, "It's a little late for you to suddenly decide you don't want me to be a cop!" Then Sonny knocked on the door.
