GH Week of August 16, 2010

Monday

Ronnie was suspicious that Michael really was watching the baseball game at the time of the drive-by. Lucky arrived and said he checked with the witness, Mrs. Markle, who won't swear to anything. Ronnie stormed out. Lucky asked in on the cover-up. Michael confessed he was with Johnny when the shooting went down. Meanwhile, Johnny told Ethan his plan: to simply shoot Sonny and claim self-defense

At Pentonville, Sonny told Jason he's free, thanks to a loophole in his plea bargain, which rendered his conviction "null and void." Later, Jason was astonished that Claire would risk inserting sure a huge, drastic loophole. Sonny said it was to prove he can trust her. Sonny reasoned that the closer they get, the more compromised she becomes; when he kills Johnny, she won't be able to prosecute. Later, Sonny found Claire waiting in his study. She said she has no regrets about releasing Jason; in fact, she feels oddly liberated. Sonny kissed her. "I don't trust myself when it comes to you," she confessed.

In Rome, Brenda expressed concern about Murphy's career if they marry, and how her new job will have her in a new city every week. He offered to drop out of his movie to be with her. Brenda said he should be with someone who loves him from the bottom of her heart — and that's not her. She loves going to premieres with him, and talking to him and getting drunk with him. He appreciated that she cares about him when everyone else is selfish. "I was left at the altar three times," she noted (one was a repeat offender). The first time, her ex showed up with Jax's wife. Then she recounted Jason doing Sonny's dirty work. Then told how Jax rejected her after learning she kissed Sonny the night before their wedding. "Do you love him?" Murphy asked. Then he decided it only matters how they feel about each other. "I like who I am when I'm with you," Murphy said. They kissed, and he left.

At General Hospital, Patrick dragged Lisa away from Matt to say, "Message received." He called her antics "sad and sick" and demanded she stop. She denied carving up wedding pictures, and suggested Robin knows about the affair and is not taking it well.

Carly assured Spinelli that causing Lulu some pain now spares her more pain later. Then he got a call from Diane telling him that Jason is free. Carly ordered Diane to delay him so she could set up a party. She rushed off and met with Brook at Jake's to tell her to use tonight to bed Dante — and get proof. (She even dangled a $10,000 bonus.) If she fails tonight, she's going back to Bensonhurst broke. Jason arrived at the penthouse while Spinelli was decorating, and asked what Carly has him working on. Carly called Michael with the news and invited him to the penthouse. Then Brook called Dante from Jake's, asking to be picked up. Michael went to the penthouse, followed closely by Carly, who whispered, "Don't ever leave me again." Jason sent the boys out for Chinese food, and then told Carly not to go after Dante and Lulu.

Lulu confided in Lucky that Olivia was pressuring Dante about marriage, and feared he will feel obligated to propose before they are both ready. Lucky assured her that Dante would find a way to let her know he's not ready. Dante, meanwhile, met Brook at Jake's, where she claimed to be suffering from stress-induced panic attacks because her life is going nowhere. Then, while he was on the phone, she drugged his beer.

In Rome, Brenda flashed back to arguing with Jason after Sonny sent him to break up with her, then standing in the rain. In Port Charles, Sonny was remembering the same soggy incident.

Tuesday

Carly thanked Jason for going to prison for Michael. He told her to leave Dante and Lulu alone. "Michael is scarred," she moaned. Jason warned her that Michael will know if she takes revenge in his name. Jason pointed out that Dante supervises Michael's parole, and accused her of wanting payback — so it's about her. Morgan sneaked away to visit Sonny, telling him how Jax is teaching him to sail. Morgan pointed out that Michael isn't allowed to see Sonny, and Kristina doesn't want to see him, so Morgan was afraid Sonny was lonely, and wanted his father to know he loves him. Especially since the adoption will be official soon. Sonny suggested that with Michael and Jason out of jail, Carly will let the adoption drop. But Carly arrived, angry to see Morgan. Sonny sent his son home, and promised Carly that things will calm down. Carly said it's hard on Morgan when he sees his father, because, "some damage is permanent."

At PCPD, Lulu told Lucky she doesn't want to get married, because marriage ruins relationships. Lucky said it's not vows that ruin things, it's human nature. He advised her to ask Dante what he's feeling, and actually listen to his answer. After she left, Michael arrived and thanked Lucky for shielding his involvement in the drive-by. Michael said the driver was nobody who works for his dad. Lucky advised him to steer clear of his father's war with Johnny. Lucky invited Jason to the PCPD and told him about Sonny setting the Lopez shooting in motion — and that Michael got involved. And while he covered for Michael, Jason should talk to Sonny. Jason returned to the penthouse, where he was met by an ecstatic Sam. She wasted no time donning a merry widow, and he carried her upstairs.

At G.H., Matt spotted Maxie spying on Lisa as she approached Patrick and suggested meeting in secret. But he ignored her, and then Robin arrived. She asked if anything interesting happened while she was in New York. Meanwhile, Elizabeth prepared Cameron and Jake and Aiden to move into Wyndemere for a while. Elizabeth was excited about what it could mean for all of them "as a family." Later, Nik went to G.H. and told Patrick about Liz moving in. Simultaneously, Robin was skeptical of Liz moving into Wyndemere, and asked if she and Nik are a couple. ELizabeth said they turned to each other when Aiden was kidnapped. Robin called it a mistake, and admitted she probably wouldn't be rational if Patrick ever cheated on her. Lisa went to the deserted Scorpio-Drake house and let herself in. Later, Liz packed up, and Nikolas brought them "to daddy's house." Maxie met Lucky at Jake's and asked him to do a background check on Lisa. Patrick returned home to find the house ransacked. Robin was there and said she couldn't find her HIV meds. Viewers saw that Lisa stole the drugs and disposed of them at the hospital.

At Jake's, Brook Lynn flirted with Dante as he drank his spiked beer, and grew increasingly silly. He didn't even recognize the roofie pills when he saw them. "I feel like you get me," she said. While Coleman went to check on the balky air-conditioning, Brook doffed her coat, giving Dante an eyeful of how she is no longer the little girl he remembered. He asked her to wear more clothes around him. Despite his condition, he maintained a respectful attitude and distance. She seemed touched that he was so nice to her. Nevertheless, she took him home. Then Lulu arrived, and Coleman said she just missed Dante. He asked about Kate's business trip to meet with Cartullo (the fashion house that just signed Brenda.) At Dante's, he could barely sit up, but Brook kissed him. A short time later, Lulu arrived to see her on top of him as they made out.

Wednesday

At Jake's, Maxie told Lucky she recognizes the same desperation in Lisa that she herself felt when stalking Lucky. Maxie feared he still hates her for that. "I'm way past that now," he noted, adding that Elizabeth is on her own path, and he's okay with that. Lucky suggested that Patrick was reliving his glory days by just flirting, but Maxie insisted Lisa is stalking him. Maxie admitted she liked the time she spent with Lucky. Meanwhile, Liz moved the kids into Wyndemere, where Nikolas immediately plied then with cupcakes. After the kids were in bed, Liz noticed Alfred set her up with s'mores. Nikolas put the staff at her disposal.

Maya summoned Johnny to Jake's to express concern for Ethan's safety. Johnny refused to speculate about Ethan's chances for survival, but noted, "a little danger always makes things interesting." Then Ethan strolled in, and after bantering Johnny, asked Maya to dance — which they did, in slow motion. After she left for work, Johnny told Ethan he will be the witness on Friday, when Johnny shoots Sonny dead.

"Get off him, you disgusting bitch!" Lulu cried as she pushed Brook Lynn off Dante and onto the floor. They traded blows until Lulu threw Brook out. "You swore that you loved me!" she wailed at Dante. "I did?" he replied. A babbling Brook went to Sonny and told him about the situation. She claimed one beer led to another and they ended up at his place, and Lulu caught them. Sonny indicated he would approve of Dante pairing up with Brook. Back at the loft, Dante was barely able to stand. Lulu scolded him for being drunk. Dante tried to sober up, but he couldn't even recognize her, let alone remember they have been sleeping together. She realized he was drugged. He insisted they were in Bensonhurst. With a damp washcloth on his forehead, he described her as a beautiful evening star. She asked him if he ever cheated on his girlfriend. "Nope," he said. Then, he said he couldn't talk about "it," because, "We both gave our word." Meanwhile, Brook went to Carly to collect. Carly called it a start, and gave her an installment payment to keep the ball rolling. While Dante slept, Lulu talked about her doubts about trusting him. When Michael returned, Lulu asked him to watch Dante. "Brook is a slut," she declared, adding, "I'm gonna make that bitch pay."

Robin insisted there should be a month's supply of HIV meds in the house. "They're my lifeline," she noted. Patrick went to fetch refills at the hospital. At the hub, Lisa accused Steve of giving Patrick and Robin special treatment. She hinted at sexual harassment charges, but backed off. When Patrick got to G.H., he accused Lisa of stealing Robin's meds, but she denied it. "That would be crazy," she scoffed. When Patrick returned, Robin blamed herself for losing track of her meds. She noticed their wedding photo was missing; he claimed he accidentally broke it.

Sonny insisted to Carly that the kids are safe with him, because he's making peace with his enemies. She was skeptical how long that would last. Back home, Carly filled in Jax about Morgan visiting Sonny. Jax theorized that Sonny is trying to torpedo the adoption, and suggested she take Josslyn and Morgan to Martha's Vineyard. Michael went to the penthouse (interrupting Jason and Sam's evening), to tell Jason he can't stop thinking about Pentonville. Jason told him there are some things you have to just live through. Michael recalled stories about soldiers with post-traumatic stress, and admitted he's been jumpy himself. Jason promised Michael will get over it, but he's willing to can talk about it. After Michael left, Jason told Sam that he doesn't think Michael will be okay. Later, Jason told Sonny that Michael saved Johnny from the Lopez gunmen. Sonny was furious that Michael was involved. He ordered Jason to make the truce Michael wanted, suggesting, "Maybe there can be some peace after all."

Thursday

Dante awoke hungover. Michael told him he was "hooking up with Brook Lynn" last night. Dante was aghast as Michael recapped that he didn't even recognize Lulu. Dante wondered if he was drugged. At Crimson, Lulu told Maxie she walked in on Dante and Brook all over each other, but he was stoned. Maxie called that the oldest excuse in the book. Lulu suspected that Brook drugged him. Maxie called Brook "a skank and a liar," and if anyone drugged him, it was Brook. Later, Dante showed at Crimson with flowers and cupcakes — and an apology. He offered to take a polygraph. "I love you and only you," he insisted. He asked how to make this right, noting he is not attracted to Brook. Lulu seemed open to his being framed. "You're amazing," he cheered, and they kissed. She noted, "I must be a saint to overlook what you did last night." She said that he mentioned having a regret, but refused to talk about it. He seemed puzzled. Later, Maxie spotted Brook outside Kelly's and scolded her for visiting a place that Lulu's family owns. They traded insults about being sluts. Maxie accused Brook of drugging Dante; Brook claimed he invited her home after one drink. The girls faced off over Lulu, but then Johnny walked up. Maxie warned him to "proceed with caution." Maxie returned to Crimson and suggested teaming up to run Brook out of town. When Olivia arrived, Lulu told her that Brook is trying to sabotage their relationship. Meanwhile, at Kelly's, Brook told Johnny that Dante was looking for comfort. When Ethan arrived, he told a reluctant Mike that Kelly's is neutral territory. Johnny revealed his plan to use Sonny's restaurant to kill him. Dante met Brook outside Kelly's, and told her he doesn't remember anything. She said he was the aggressor, and got nostalgic with her. Dante asked her directly: "Are you the one who drugged me?"

In Rome, Brenda told Suzanne that Murphy proposed. However, she suspects he proposed out of insecurity, and hasn't given him an answer yet. "He's a decent human being," she noted, and she can count on him. "Why haven't you said yes?" Suzanne asked. Meanwhile, Robin visited Sonny and asked if he had contacted Brenda. He said he's been too busy — but he admitted that he thinks about her sometimes. "She did bring out the best in me," he admitted. Robin urged him to call her. Brenda admitted she could love Murphy but, "my heart's somewhere else." Suzanne asked if the other man is a realistic option. "No, he's not," Brenda admitted. Sonny asked Spinelli to do a media search on Brenda. Sonny was intrigued by a photo of her with Murphy Sinclair. Suzanne urged Brenda to get closure with her old flame by calling him.

Jason and Sam were sharing breakfast and discussing taking a trip when Ronnie knocked on the door, and arrested Jason for burning down one of Johnny's warehouses. Sam rushed to Sonny, who denied involvement and said it had to be Santos Lopez. Jason was brought to the interrogation room — where he was quickly joined by Michael. Ronnie confronted him about the witness to the drive-by. Jason warned Michael to clam up, and the kid did as he was told. "You're teaching this kid to be a criminal," Ronnie fumed. Then Diane entered, and Jason told her to get Michael freed and get Ronnie suspended. While Diane tore Ronnie a new one, Jason praised Michael to Sam, who was impressed. Diane told Michael he's free, but Jason could be held for 48 hours. At the penthouse, Sam dressed for a covert op and asked Spinelli for the schematics to a Lopez warehouse — she's going to prove Jason is innocent.

In Rome, Brenda dialed Sonny; in Port Charles, Sonny dialed Brenda.

Friday

At the PCPD, Jason worried about what Sam might to do to clear him of his
latest charges. What was she doing? Eavesdropping on the Lopezes, with a knife! Over at Kelly's, Johnny and Ethan discussed Johnny's plot to get rid of Sonny. "I'm loyal, not suicidal," said Ethan, who didn't want to watch his "best mate" do this. Elsewhere, Sonny and Brenda tried calling each other, but since they did it at the exact same moment, they each got a busy signal. Later, Brenda and Suzanne talked about her stalker being from the Russian syndicate and Kristina visited Sonny and saw a picture of Brenda on Sonny's laptop. Kristina decided to do a school project on the model and humanitarian, much to Sonny's amusement. She dubbed Murphy "really hot," grinning, "Sorry, Dad!" Sonny opened up about leaving Brenda at the altar. At the station, Diane and Ronnie went toe-to-toe, and then Claire joined the party. Ronnie and Claire argued amongst themselves, and then Claire told Diane she wasn't doing Jason or Sonny any more favors. In Rome, Brenda told Suzanne about the Puerto Rico adventure, complete with that From Here To Eternity beach
flashback. Brenda admitted she misses feeling alive like that. Now, "I feel like I'm dead." As Sam continued to lurk and record the Lopezes, Dante wondered why Ronnie was so obsessed with taking Jason and Sonny down without real proof. Then, he and Jason talked about the Johnny/Sonny war. Back in Rome, Brenda dubbed the way Sonny had loved her "stunning," while Suzanne wryly noted the pitfalls. "You're romanticizing a
thug who put your life in danger," she said. "It's disturbing." Then,
Suzanne mentioned an artist who wanted her to do some modeling for him. Brenda reminded her she's under contract to Cartullo. Later, outside, Sonny left Robin a message about hooking Kristina up with Brenda...and Johnny walked up and pulled a gun on him! When an attempt to negotiate didn’t get him anywhere, Sonny pulled his own piece and shot Johnny in the chest. As Claire told Jason he was free to go, Sam called Jason to say she was trapped in Lopez's van. Meanwhile, Ronnie found Johnny
and hid Johnny's gun, before calling for an ambulance and an APB on Sonny. Sonny hurried home..and came face to face with Dante! In Rome, Brenda met with Wilhelm (Bruce Davison), who told her Franco wants her to be the centerpiece of his new project.

At Crimson, Lulu told Olivia all about Brook's icky seduction of Dante, and
while the "taking advantage" part rankled her, Olivia was skeptical at the
idea that Brook would drug her son. At Kelly's, Brook tried to feign
innocence to Dante, weeping and claiming she thought he was really into her. Dante swallowed her line and blamed himself. They agreed to put the debacle in the past. At GH, Patrick and Robin were being all couple-y, and Lisa walked up. Patrick coldly told Lisa to consult with another doctor.
Suspicious Maxie sent Matt to follow Lisa, and then Robin asked her cousin what was going on. Maxie told her about Lisa being at the house. Matt non-subtly questioned Lisa about what was up with Patrick, and she confided that Patrick had "too much fun" while Robin was away. At Kelly's, Olivia confronted Brook about Dante. Brook insisted "nothing happened," and walked away. At GH, Matt and Maxie talked about the whole Lisa/Patrick/Robin conundrum. Robin wondered if Lisa had stolen her HIV meds and a rattled Patrick didn't know what to make of it all. Later, they got home, only to have the babysitter tell them Lisa had taken Emma out for ice cream!
