General Hospital Recaps

GH Week of April 5, 2010

Monday

At G.H., Maxie gave Claire a hard time during her questioning. Claire asked Maxie point blank if she saw Michael in the car with Sonny on the night of Claudia's death. Maxie said she only saw Sonny. Claire then asked about Spinelli — and his roommate, Jason. Meanwhile, Spinelli tried listening through the door in the hall and got a chewing out from Epiphany. After she left, he went back to eavesdropping. Just then, the judge and legal eagles walked out. Diane was elated that Maxie didn't give up Michael.

On the island, Michael packed his backpack determined to leave. He buttered up Max and begged "his favorite bodyguard" to allow him to go home and protect his pop. Max advised Michael to lay low, as Sonny had requested. Michael still blamed himself for his father's predicament.

At the lake house, Alexis found a bloody and battered Kristina and helped her up. She got Kristina to the car and they took off for the hospital. In the back seat, Kristina began to lose consciousness. Up front, a teary Alexis flashed back to Kiefer running out of the house. She then went blank. Kiefer was up ahead walking on the side of the road and turned to see the car coming at him. Alexis showed no expression as she ran down Kiefer with her car.

In the car, Lucky and Dante discussed that they were sure Kiefer was Kristina's abuser but lamented they had no proof. They arrived at the lake house and found blood on the floor. They tried calling Alexis and Kristina but go no answer. Lucky called forensics and asked them to come over.

Sonny told Jason he had little faith that Maxie could hold up under Claire's questioning, and refused Jason and Carly's advice of fleeing the country. Carly then told Sonny that Dante will never come around and Sonny should stop trying. Sonny vowed not to give up on his son. Then. Sonny pointed out that his fate was in Carly's hands and he asked her to lie and say he killed Claudia to protect her and the baby. Diane arrived with the good news about Maxie, and Sonny was pleasantly surprised. Just then, Alexis called with the bad news about Kristina.

At G.H., Maya introduced herself to Epiphany and met with Steven. Just then, Edward arrived and attempted to throw the Q name around to get the new intern a cushy berth in the program. Maya told Steven that she expected no special favors. Steven informed Edward that he would not be bullied. Maya pulled her great grandfather aside and said he's not doing her any favors. Maya insisted she'd succeed on her own merit. Just then, Alexis came in with Kristina. Steven got her into an examining room and shouted to call the police and have them pick up Ethan.

At the Q mansion, Ethan lifted a bejeweled egg, just as Skye walked in. Skye gave Ethan the cold shoulder having learned he was accused of beating Kristina. Ethan sat her down and explained his side of the story. Skye seemed to believe him and stated whoever the abuser was needed to pay. Later, Maya came home and blasted Ethan for attacking Kristina. He was stunned to hear that the girl was attacked again.

Lucky got the call about Kristina, and declared the lake house a crime scene. Dante insisted that he stay on the case.

Jason visited Maxie, who declared that she did not incriminate Sonny. Jason was relieved and expressed his gratitude. After he left, Maxie asked Spinelli to trust her and tell her what was really going on. Maxie pointed out that she perjured herself and asked point blank if Michael killed Claudia. Spinelli admitted her theory was correct.

Sonny arrived at G.H. Alexis told him what happened but asked that Sonny not see his daughter just yet. "You scare her sometimes," she admitted. Alexis returned and Kristina broke down in tears. In the hall, Sonny told Jason that Ethan must die tonight. Dante arrived to see his sister and told her not to blame herself for the attack. Dante asked Kristina to tell him what happened. Dante then asked if Kiefer attacked her. As Sonny listened in, Kristina admitted that Kiefer was her abuser.

Carly shared her suspicions about Kiefer with Diane. Then, Diane pointed out if anything happens to Ethan or Kiefer, "Sonny will go down." ... At The Haunted Star, Lucky insisted to Jason that Ethan was innocent. Jason replied that Ethan was out of time.... Along the side of the road, Kiefer's hand moved.

Tuesday

At the Q manse, Maya didn't believe Ethan's claims of innocence in Kristina's second beating. Ethan vowed that he did not commit this crime. He then said he had to leave town before he was arrested again. Skye entered and stated, "That would be a huge mistake." Ethan was insistent. Later, Luke caught Ethan at The Haunted Star and tried to convince his son to stay.

On the way home from the movies, Molly spotted Kiefer's car by the side of the road. Sam then spotted something in a ditch. "It looks like a person," Molly stated. They discovered it was Kiefer and called for help. Molly burst into tears. "How could anyone do this?" she wondered. Kiefer said it was a car, and he saw who it was.

At G.H., Kristina admitted to Dante that Kiefer had been her abuser all along. She confessed that the last attack was not the first time he'd struck her. She said she wanted to break up with Kiefer but he said he loved her and would never hit her again. Sonny was eavesdropping and wiped away a tear. Sonny then entered, and Krissy begged her father not to send Jason after Kiefer. Dante stepped out, called Lucky and informed him of Krissy's statement. Lucky was arguing with Jason over who was Krissy's real abuser. Jason reported back to Sonny that Ethan was innocent. Sonny already knew, but was relieved he hadn't ordered the death of an innocent man. However, Sonny still couldn't understand why Kristina would protect her abuser.

At Metro Court, Jax and Warren Bauer, Kiefer's father, closed a business deal. Warren was concerned that Kiefer hadn't called him, and stated his son has a bright future ahead of him. Warren told Jax that he wished Mr. Jacks was Kristina's father, rather than Mr. Corinthos. Just then, Olivia brought the news to Warren that Kiefer had been hit by a car.

Kiefer was rushed into the ER. Sam and Molly told Steven what they knew. Then, he informed them about Kristina's latest beating. Lucky went to see Kiefer, who was drifting in and out of consciousness. Kiefer's parents arrived and ordered Lucky out. Warren blamed Lucky for upsetting his son. Lucky countered that Kristina identified Kiefer as her attacker.

In her hospital room, Alexis promised she'd keep Sonny away from Kiefer. Kristina said she was glad Dante was there. Sonny saw Dante in the hall and asked to talk to him. Sam and Molly found Jason, and then went to find Krissy. Sam assured her sister that they all loved her. As the girls chatted, Alexis was thankful for having her girls together. She then excused herself to check in with a doctor. Kristina asked Sam to keep an eye on Jason. In the hall, Jason told Sam the truth, and Kristina confessed to Molly that it was Kiefer, not Ethan, who hurt her. Thinking of the hit and run, Sam asked Jason where he was after learning the culprit was Kiefer.... Back in her room, Molly informed Kristina that Kiefer was run down.

Sonny and Dante went to the roof to talk. Dante blamed Sonny for Kristina's distrust of men and called him a terrible father. Olivia arrived, and Sonny blamed her for Dante's hatred of him. Olivia made no apologies for the past and stormed out. Dante then slugged Sonny. Afterward, Sonny warned Dante not to push him too far. "Come and get me!" Dante shouted back. "Any time!"

Lucky found Ethan and Luke at the casino and told them that Kristina changed her story. But then, Lucky added, Kiefer had been run down and Ethan's fender is damaged.

In the hall at G.H., Alexis heard everyone talking about Kiefer and paused. Just then, Kiefer's spleen ruptured. A horrified Alexis watched the medical team try and save him, but Kiefer died.

Wednesday

At G.H., Warren and Melinda Bauer were devastated by their son Kiefer's death. Melinda spotted Alexis nearby and blamed her for the tragedy. The Bauers claimed that none of this would have happened if Kiefer hadn't dated Kristina. "I'm sorry," Alexis replied. "Just go!" Warren exclaimed. Later, Warren and Melinda made a public plea for information on TV.

In the hall, Sam was thankful that Jason was not involved in Kiefer's accident, and regretted blaming Ethan without all the facts. Jason advised her to be there for Kristina. Meanwhile, Kristina feared that Sonny was behind Kiefer's hit and run. Molly reminded her sister that it could have been an accident.

At The Haunted Star, Ethan couldn't explain the dent in his car. Lucky stated that Ethan's car had already been impounded. Lucky then got a call from Mac stating that Kiefer died, making this a homicide case.

Back at G.H., Dante thanked his mother for keeping Sonny away from him in during his childhood, realizing that she did the right thing in order to give him a normal life. Olivia pulled her son into a hug. "I thought I'd lost you," she cried. "No such luck," Dante smiled back. Afterward, Jason informed Dante that Kiefer died. Dante huffed that his siblings deserve a better life, stating that Sonny is a danger to kids. Dante then walked off.

Alexis informed Sam that Kiefer didn't make it. Sam offered to be the one to tell Krissy. They went into her room, and Alexis was speechless. "The doctors did everything they could," Sam said. Kristina and Molly burst into tears. Alexis hugged Krissy, while Sam comforted Molly.

At the garage, Johnny met with an associate named Eddie, calling him "the pizza delivery guy." Olivia entered and Eddie made a quick exit. Liv shared with Johnny that she wanted to celebrate. "I got my son back," she smiled. Johnny broke out two beers to toast with. Later, Johnny surprised Olivia with a candlelight pizza dinner, and suggested they move in together. Olivia was surprised, to say the least. Johnny asked her to think about it. "Think about this," she replied as she pulled him into a kiss.

Mac caught up with Alexis at the hospital. A still numb Alexis nearly blurted out what had happened. Then, she lamented not realizing that her daughter was being abused earlier. Mac assured her that parents have no control over keeping their children safe. She admitted that she hated Kiefer for what he did but never wanted this to happen. Mac advised Alexis to be there for Krissy.

As Dante sat alone in the dark at his loft, Lulu showed up unexpectedly. Dante was glad to see her. He shared that he regretted being so hard on his mother. Lulu was surprised to learn that Olivia didn't date much when Dante was a kid. Dante was thankful that Olivia didn't "take the easy way out and have an abortion." Lulu smiled, then made an excuse to leave. Dante asked her to stay but Lulu claimed she had work to do. In the elevator, a sullen Lulu flashed back to her own abortion.

At G.H., Sam offered to take Molly home. Krissy asked Sam to have Jason stop in to see her. Jason arrived a few moments later. Krissy asked if he or Sonny killed Kiefer. Jason replied they had nothing to do with the accident. Jason then lent Kristina a sympathetic ear.

Mac called Lucky to say the dent in Kiefer's car was consistent with hitting a pedestrian. Lucky hung up and informed his brother that he had to arrest him yet again. At the PCPD, Lucky brought Ethan in, while Luke chewed out Mac for arresting an innocent man.... At GH, Alexis saw on TV that Ethan had been arrested for Kiefer's hit and run.

Thursday

Spinelli arrived at the hospital to see Maxie and was thrilled about her impending release. Jason whispered that Kristina's boyfriend was killed, and he has a theory. Meanwhile, Diane visited Kristina, who lamented about not getting to say good-bye to Kiefer. Alexis escorted Diane outside and 'fessed up to her friend. Alexis was distraught for letting herself and Kristina be fooled by Kiefer. She recalled exactly what happened when she hit Kiefer with her car and sped away. She was shaking as she repeated, "I didn't mean to do it." Diane promised to keep Alexis's confidence for now, but advised her to confess. Later, Bobbie suggested to Alexis that her daughter join a counseling group. Bobbie assured a guilt-ridden Alexis that she did the best she could raising Kristina.

At the station, Ronnie rode Dante for shuffling his feet where Sonny's case is concerned and suggested that he find Michael pronto. Dante later ran into Claire, who also suggested that he locate Michael. Dante didn't understand why everyone thinks he knows where Michael is! Dante returned to find Ronnie interrogating Johnny, who said he doesn't think Michael would even be able to convict Sonny if he got on the stand.

At the Metro Court, Morgan told Carly that he misses Jax and his pancakes ... and Michael. Jax arrived and asked Carly if he could take Morgan to the boat sometime soon. Carly said that would be fine. Jax then headed to the park for a day with Jocelyn. There, Jax apologized to his baby girl for their joint custody situation. Carly wandered over and joined them. The estranged pair shared a look when Jax noted that Jocelyn is an amazing woman, just like his mom.

While playing with Spencer in the park, Nikolas ran into Robin and began talking about Elizabeth's baby and how he wants a real family. Robin assured Nik that he'd be a good dad to Spencer's new brother. Meanwhile, Steven arrived at Elizabeth's dimly lit house to find her still in her bathrobe and the boys running around in circles. He took the kids to daycare, while Elizabeth looked absolutely spent. Steven later returned to find her asleep on the couch when she should have been on her way to work. She immediately sprang to, and he suggested that she might have left Shadybrook too soon. Elizabeth didn't want to discuss it.

After exchanging a few heated words with Olivia and Johnny, Sonny arrived to the courtroom and the proceedings resumed. Claire called Olivia to the stand and asked her to elaborate on how she knows Sonny. "He knocked me up when I was 15," she stated bluntly. After a few softball questions, Claire asked if Olivia knows where Michael was the night Carly gave birth. She confirmed that no one, as far as she knows, was aware of Michael's whereabouts that night. Diane cross-examined and asked if Michael's behavior had been erratic since his coma, trying to make the point that there've been other times when Michael disappeared. While they were on recess, Sonny thanked Olivia for her testimony. Dante arrived to witness their friendly exchange. Claire was fuming, and Sonny told the prosecutor that she'll have to wait until hell freezes over to get Michael on the stand. Meanwhile, Ronnie subpoenaed Morgan at school.

Back at the penthouse, Sam admitted to Jason that she doesn't know what to say to Kristina anymore because the girl feels like she only has herself to blame. Once Sam was gone, Spinelli told Jason he sincerely hopes Jason's suspicion that Alexis killed Kiefer is wrong.

Friday

Sonny was sure his sons would not impugn him, but Claire suggested that Dante knows where Michael is, and accused Sonny of hiding behind his family. "You're a coward and a bully," she hissed. Putting him away will be "a life-affirming" favor for society. Meanwhile, Ronnie and a social worker showed up at Morgan's school with a subpoena for the boy. Carly got a call from Morgan's principal explaining that a cop and a social worker took her son out of school. She rushed to the station to berate Dante, who tried to get to the bottom of it. Meanwhile, Ronnie took Morgan to the courthouse, where Morgan noted that Dante said not to trust Ronnie. Ronnie claimed Dante committed perjury and could lose his badge unless Morgan steps up. He suggested Morgan agree with everything Claire says about Dante. Dante learned Morgan was at the courthouse; Carly went after him.

Jason and Spinelli reviewed videotape and determined that Alexis was likely the driver who ran down Kiefer, but they cannot prove it. At that moment, Alexis was trying to confess to Kristina — but changed her mind and told the girl she has to stay overnight. Kristina became hysterical, and Alexis snapped at her. Sam soothed her sister by telling her it was okay to be angry, but not to feel guilty. Alexis rushed outside, and confessed to Sam that she hit Kiefer. "I freaked out," she wailed. "I saw him, and I hit him." Sam urged her not to confess, and resolved to get Jason and Spinelli to figure a way out.

Luke bailed out Ethan and discovered his son was beaten in a cell by one of Sonny's guys. Luke accused Dante of arranging it. Luke sent Ethan to the hospital and accused Dante of also trying to pull the wool over Lulu's eyes. Luke returned to The Haunted Star and summoned Lulu to tell her about her brother's beating, and told her to choose family or Dante. She was astonished that Luke was suddenly concerned about family. She insisted she loves Dante, and stormed out. Tracy noted that Luke just made Lulu run into Dante's arms.

Epiphany introduced Maya to Patrick, and then Elizabeth returned, eager to get back to work. When Patrick realized that Liz messed up his test orders, Steve reassigned her. Maya reminded Kristina that she shouldn't blame herself. Then Alexis told Kristina she has arranged for therapy. Later, wandering the halls, Kristina ran into Ethan and asked if he mowed down Kiefer. Ethan snapped at her and they argued until Maya broke it up. Alexis went to PCPD and asked to talk to Mac.

In the courtroom, Claire questioned a forensics expert who matched tire tracks at the scene of the crime to Michael's car. Diane pointed out it could have been someone else's car. Then Claire called Morgan, makng Diane and Sonny freak. Diane approached the bench, and Sonny approached Claire, threatening, "You put my son on the stand and you have my word: You will regret it." She shouted, "Did you just threaten me?" Judge Carroll shooed Sonny back to his seat. The judge warned everyone not to upset Morgan. Then he explained to the boy how to answer questions. Claire questioned him gently about the night Claudia died. Morgan recounted how his father yelled at Claudia, who went nuts and kidnapped his mom. Morgan noted that Michael left home that night alone in his car. When Claire asked what Michael said about how Claudia died, Morgan said he didn't remember. Outside the courtroom, Jason stopped Carly from dragging Morgan off the stand. Then Dante burst into the courtroom and announced he's retrieving the boy on hehalf of his parents.
