Abby told Michael that Diane recommended she go with the battered woman defense — which would mean she'd have to cop to killing Brandon. Michael was against it, but Abby thinks it's best. "I am not going to let you do this." He didn't want her pleading guilty to something she didn't do. Abby had faith in Diane's strategy that she'll get a suspended sentence, but Michael pointed out he was supposed to get a deal, too. Abby was sure Diane can win. Michael still resisted, so Abby said she's doing this so Michael won't get himself killed investigating her case. Elsewhere, Anthony chortled over a newspaper story about Abby. He encouraged Johnny to take advantage of Michael to get to Sonny and Jason. Johnny told him to stick to gardening. At the pier, Michael warned Abby that a trial is traumatic. She said it's not his decision, and left. Anthony suddenly appeared behind Michael and taunted him about Pentonville. Anthony thanked him for killing Claudia, and offered to show his gratitude. Michael asked if he knew of any "independent contractors" who took a job recently. Carly suddenly appeared and warned Anthony off, but he reacted with lust for her. Abby asked Johnny if he had her framed. He said no, and promised to look for the hit woman who did do it.

Sonny called Carlos Escobar (the international fugitive) to help find Suzanne and Lucian. Dante didn't think that was a good idea. Sonny wants to confront Suzanne with proof she took the kid — which is where Dante comes in: Get surveillance footage. Dante suggested Spinelli, but Sonny wanted the proof to come through official channels. Jax offered Brenda some snacks and a shoulder to cry on. She was certain Suzanne was not responsible. Carly burst in to talk to Jax about Josslyn, but Brenda blew up at her, because her son is gone. Then she apologized for snapping. Jax announced they are going to appeal to the media. Jax laid out a possible scenario for Suzanne to fake bringing back her kid: to pre-empt any suspicions down the line that her child survived. Then the boy disappears on Brenda's watch, and she'll think he's gone forever, but Suzanne will be free and clear. Jason told Sam it's too soon after the operation to know if she will be able to carry a child. Later, he updated Carly, who insisted he and Sam would be great parents. He mentioned today is Jake's birthday. She told him how Jax wants full custody of Joss. Carly doesn't want an ugly battle. Jason told Carly to never give up Joss — not to anyone, for any reason. Meanwhile, Jax arranged for news crews to cover Brenda announcing a $5 million reward for Suzanne's arrest and the return of Lucian. Sonny watched, furious, because the reward will keep Suzanne out of Port Charles. Dante agreed she's in the wind.

Siobhan saw Lucky comforting Elizabeth, then Liz noticed Siobhan, and was mortified. Apologetic, she left. Later, Lucky apologized, but Siobhan realized it's Jake's birthday. She offered their wedding cake as Jake's birthday cake, and encouraged him to talk about his son — which he did, praising his humor and smarts. She pointed out that everyone made sure Jake knew he was loved. Later, Lucky ran into Jason, and they discussed Jake's birthday, and how every moment Lucky had with him came at Jason's expense. The hardest thing about death is that life goes on. Jason said they can honor Jake by finding a way to keep going — and be nice to each other. "I can't get there yet," Lucky said. "I can't, either," Jason agreed. Siobhan visited Elizabeth, who revealed that she found out about the wedding from the PCPD, and actually went to the justice of the peace, but decided not to stop it, because she could sense Lucky really needs Siobhan. When Liz went to take cookies out of the oven, Siobhan saw the envelope from the DNA lab, and read the results!
