I gotta say I am looking forward to this storyline and am tuning back in to GH after an absence of ??? Why you ask? For the adult chaperone storyline! Steve & Olivia and Matt & Maxie! And don't worry about the two characters who are supposed to die - I think they are going to be the two friends of the Corinthos kids that go along on the trip.
Ya know, in all my excitement, I actually forgot to turn the VCR off today after watching Tuesday's episode, and so I never got Wednesday's episode on tape so I'll never see it! But I'm banking on Thursday's episode starting off by replaying the crash.I'm not really worried about the effects of this on the Corinthos Kids. In Soap Opera World, life is full of drama. Nobody gets to have a peaceful childhood one might have in real life. And this could happen to anybody - we never had seatbelts on buses growing up. I guess now that I think about it, I see seatbelts on the newer buses. As for Carly, even if she does tell Sonny about Brenda & Dante and the baby (whatever happened to it?), I don't think he'll believe her. He'll think she's just being spiteful and jealous as she is about every other woman he's with.
Angel, sometimes when I've missed episodes, I watch them on my computer, at the ABC website. You're probably right in assuming that they will replay the crash scenes, but sometimes you want to see the lead up. (example-Carly was supposed to go on the trip, but switched at the last minute and got Olivia to go in her place.) GH usually does great disaster stories, and the closing shots looked pretty surreal at the end of Wednesday's show. I can hardly wait for next week!
Thursday and Friday will be repeats of the Metro Court story so it won't pick up till Monday. I would try Soap Net channel if you get it or ABC.Com to watch yesterdays.
I live a simple life - no cable tv and no computer (yet). I won't have access to a computer capable of watching it until Monday morning. I guess it was expecting too much that they wouldn't pre-empt Thursday's episode (just Friday's), or at least replay Wednesday's episode.
Unfortunately Angel, that was expecting too much
I was also excited to read the s/l of the crash. I'm actually looking forward everyday to watch. Yesterday's epi was so fast because I wasn't watching the clock
So I totally expecting to hate this s/l but found myself loving it. In my eyes MIchael totally became a man in this s/l & see him w Abby only. A teeny bopper g/f will just not cut it after all Michael has been through. I actually teared up as the montage of scenes played to Allejuah. That is something I have not done w this show in a while.Yesterday's episode rocked for me. I loved loved loved the Liason interaction & the Jason/Jake scenes. This is a s/l that is long overdue & needs to be addressed: the fact that Jason is Jake's father & not surrogate daddy to Michael, Molly, Morgan & Kristina. Show him making moves to want to be involved in Jake's life. How about the Quartermaine's finding out Jake is one of their own. The tension it would cause between him & Lucky b/c he told Lucky he would not be involved w Jake. It would also give Elizabeth a much needed s/l as well. I know this is General Mob-stipal but how about a break from the mob that would make much sense & is long overdue. It would get fans more invested than the usual shootouts, kidnappings, Balkan/generic mob enemy crap.
I lost my battle with the tears when Jason and Jake were playing motorcycles. They were soooo cute togethor! I think that scene actually made my ovaries hurt!!! And excellant casting with that kid - he really looks like he's Jason's son."General Mob-stipal"? Bravo!
loved the scenes with jason and his son! But i am probably the only one that does not want to see him back with liz!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! never liked them together!!!!NEVER!!!!!!!! i like jason with sam! they are more of a match because she is actually a part of his life crime and all! a jasam baby would be perfect!
Agree totally!
Double totally agree!!
i don't want to see Jason with Liz either. I love him with Sam. and those scenes from Wednesday and Thursday were awesome. all the way around. Not just Jason with Jake, but with everyone. Too bad GH can't keep the show going like that. Instead of the Balkan stuff and the other stupid stuff!! GH definitely has the best teen actors on any soap. Those kids are amazing!!!
I did like Jason and Liz togethor. I think Sam is probably better suited for his lifestyle, but I don't think he loves her like he loves/loved Liz. However, I am disappointed at how short the disaster storyline lasted. My other favorite disaster storyline is probably the train-wreck-in-the-tunnel and I think that one lasted longer. I would've liked to seen them stranded in the snow trying survive a while - construct shelter, scavenger for food, etc. Maybe the injures wouldn't have been as severe initially but they could've gotten worse over time until they were really bad right before they were rescued.
You're right. It could have lasted longer...all that buildup and then, poof, it's over already. I am also a little disappointed over the way they handled Olivia's part of the story. She's in the hospital, at death's door, and nobody knows if she's going to make it, right? Then she opens her eyes and, immediately, she's talking and laughing, and making smart remarks, just like her old self. Wonderful recovery, and I'm happy that she's going to live, but, geez...let's try for a little bit of realism.
Quote:I'm happy that she's going to live, but, geez...let's try for a little bit of realism. ROTFLMFAO!!!!Realism...GH....LOLThat will echo in my mind for days....
I'm glad that I was able to provide you with some hilarity. Really, Paul, I mean REALLY!
Where'd everybody go? I was just kidding.
For all I care they can kill Liz off ( can't stand that girl) and let Jason raise his own son.
They'd never kill off Liz! Liz & Lucky were/are the 2nd Gen of Luke & Laura.
Ha, Liz can't hold a candle to Laura. Liz is a skank with 3 different baby daddys. Laura was a lady with class.....jmo

That's kind of what I thought too. The sad part of it is that they are people close to Kristina and Michael who have already seen too much death in their young lives. Couple this with the disaster that Carly is about to unleash and they'll have to dust out the rooms at Shadybrook. Will these kids ever catch a break???
