Only 10 nominations for our show....that's kind of sad. How in the world did they get a nod for best show? That's almost as humorous as if they got a nomination for Best Writing. And I love Krystal, but she certainly is not a leading lady.
What are your thoughts?
I am surprised they got any.
I hope they lose in every category. I wouldn't want Pratt given any credibility for the decimation that took place under his poison pen. What pray tell did Bobbi Eakes do to be nominated for an Emmy? In the leading lady category no less. She is, at best, just filler material. No one would know if she wasn't on anymore. She certainly didn't drive any storylines last year. Who the hell nominates these people? Sorry but this wasn't derserved at all.

How is Jessica on OLTL not a lead? I don't get it.
Who should have been nominated for an Emmy from AMC?

Without hesitation my choice would be David Canary and Thorsten Kaye for lead actor and Alicia Minshew for lead actress. Despite horrific writing, all three actors earned accolades for their performances in 2009.
The emotionally draining scenes at critically ill Ian

Based on last year, I am upset that AMC GOT 10 nominations. Of course, most were for technical people - directors, etc, so I am ok with that I guess.
I am never clear who should be leading or supporting. I do think that Bobbi Eakes is talented, even if I am not particularly interested in her character.
There were some omissions of course..but best writing is the biggest joke ever. Sadly the emmy's don't look at the big picture, they look at one or two shows submitted. You could be the worst writer (ahem) on the planet who happened to write one good episode and still win. Same with best show - which should actually be called best episode. It has nothing at all to do with what was overall the best show.
Regardless, I hope AMC loses in best show and best writer. They don't deserve to win.
