Emmy Morning Madness

Jennifer Ferrin (Jennifer), for Outstanding Supporting Actress: “I was at home, but had missed the first few minutes of THE VIEW. I found out I was nominated when Jennifer Landon (Gwen) called me and was screaming, but I couldn’t understand a word she was saying. I feel really honored to be among the women who are nominated this year. I admire all of their work. I submitted the episode where Jennifer is in the hospital and finds out the baby is dead. At first I was a little leery about choosing that one, because I had been crying all year and I was tired of seeing that (laughs).”
Trent Dawson (Henry), for Outstanding Supporting Actor: “I was in the car on the way [to the studio] when it happened, so I showed up and everyone was excited; that was pretty cool. It’s a nice little prize. I’m going for the goody bag (laughs). The nomination is great, but it wasn’t part of my career agenda — not that I have one!”
Grayson McCouch (Dusty), for Outstanding Supporting Actor: “I got a call from (Chris) Goutman (executive producer) after I took my hike that morning [in California]. I’m overwhelmed with this feeling of gratitude. The show got nominated for a bunch of stuff, so I couldn’t be happier. Isn’t it great [that Dawson was nominated]? Look at that — he’s such a different creature than I am. It’s a testament to the good stuff we got going over there.”

Jennifer Landon (Gwen), for Outstanding Younger Actress: “I was home watching THE VIEW and I had a dread response, which I don’t understand. I was so excited when I heard Jennifer Ferrin’s name and I called her. I freaked out for the people that I voted for as well. Then they called my name and it was dread, [as if] they didn’t call my name. My friend was sitting there, rubbing my back, and I was, like, ‘Yeah, I know, I’m so excited,’ but I couldn’t shake the feeling of dread. Then, later in the day, I was, like, ‘Oh, my God!’ I’m so excited. I submitted when Gwen came back from the cabin and found out that the baby wasn’t hers and her baby is dead.”

Jesse Soffer (Will), for Outstanding Younger Actor: “I was on the couch watching THE VIEW, and Terri (Colombino, Katie) came on and said my name. I was so excited. I submitted the tape where Will finds out Gwen had been taking money from Paul and confronts her. My phone is about to die because I’ve been getting calls all day!”
