I have thought about who could have inherited Courtlandt. Maybe a returned Ross. Yeah, yeah, I know, they made him a rapist, but he could have come back full of remorse, wanting to make amends, Palmer could have thought that leaving him CE could have been a great start to a second chance. Nina has a son named Michael who probably could have been a brilliant young business mind. Melanie could have come back with David Rampal (Jeremy's son). I would have even bought a secret son with Daisy. Cynthia Preston could have slinked off under a rock and had a baby by Palmer that he never acknowledged. That would have been a rewrite of history, but because she was in his life, I would have gone for it. Heck, I would have bought Palmer deciding to give her son Andrew another chance since he adopted him.I agree Brooke, because she is alive is a viable option. I just don't want her with Tad. They are so much better as friends. Besides, I never liked Brooke with anyone except Adam, Mark, Edmund, or Gilles St. Clair and they killed him off. You know I always wondered why when Barbara Montgomery came back, why didn't they test the waters and see if she still had chemistry with Tad. They were a hot couple back in the day, and if it wasn't for the fact that Laura Cudahy died, who knows maybe they would have been together. Yeah, I know they were having sex, but they really seemed to dig one another.

I agree with some of the points you have made, but disagree with others....I, like Fluffyboy, love love love Dixie and think that if they brought her back, she would be able to offer so much to the canvas....a hell of a lot more than what's being served up presently. I was under the impression that they cut Cady McClain loose because she spoke her mind about the storytelling, and then they made the stupid mistake of killing off one of the most beloved characters in AMC's history. It was a BIG, DUMB MOVE!!As far as Tad's pairing goes....Tad clicked with several actresses. I loved him with Marcy Walker, the real and only Liza, IMO....but TPTB decided to throw in this cheap wanna be, and have since destroyed the character of Liza. She's not even the same character that we all knew...it's ridiculous. I would much rather see Tad with Krystal than this fake Liza.Somehow these writers have played musical chairs with the characters, and when they stopped the music, they paired up the wrong characters. Krystal should be with David...since she can't be with Adam. Tad should have been with Brooke, since he can't be with Dixie. I think JR & Annie make a much better pairing than JR & Marissa....They started these two off right, but then the went full steam ahead and didn't give the audience any build-up to their relationship. Now it's like watching a really bad written cartoon.Scott just needs to go away, and come back as Daniel Cosgrove.....I've been saying that for months now. AMC needs to bring back Alexa Havins as the real twin sister of Babe....then we all discover that Marissa has been lying all this time....At least by doing this, you give some kind of edge to the character. And if they insist upon pairing Liza and Tad together, I say recast her with Beth Ehlers....she had much better chemistry than Jamie Luner has with the character. AMC really dropped the ball on the potential with Beth. They should bring on Robert Newman (ex-Joshua Lewis, GL) as Ross. I think he could offer up a lot to the show. Having him be over CE would make more sense to me, than what they are currently doing. CE should not be in the hands of Chandlers. I know that JR is blood to Palmer, but I still don't think he would have left anything like CE to JR...and I really don't even like the fake story of Scott & Palmer being so close at the time before his death. That was just thrown together to give Scott some wimpy storyline of stealing company ideas...Hello? Doesn't CE have a board of directors? Do we really believe that Scott could steal company ideas and go unnoticed?

I say bring Brooke and Dixie back. Dixie, Erica, and Caleb can run Cortlandt with JR, Brooke, and Kendall running Chandler. Think of all the drama that could cause.

Robert Newman as Ross is inspiring. I think there is more to milk with Ross on the scene. It would be so much more interesting because he has both families blood running through his veins.

I would love Robert on the show...it would also open the door to Kim Zimmer possibly coming on and that would be great!

No to Kim Zimmer. Susan Lucci is 'the' leading lady of PV. I doubt Kim Zimmer would like a less then starring role but then again, it would be job. Besides look how well Beth Ehlers worked out.

I don't believe a soap needs just one leading lady. That would be like saying they only needed one 'real man'. Kim Zimmer was on Santa Barbara and I'm sure they already had a 'leading lady'.I think part of the problem we have with Erica right now is that she isn't playing with people her own age. It would be nice to see someone else over 35 besides Angie and Erica.

I agree no to Kim Zimmer. Much as I like Kim zimmer - she would come at a HUGE price and from what we have read, one of the reasons for the move to CA is that AMC is always completely over-budget (and that has not improved much since the move).

I would prefer they figure out what they want or need with their current cast - including TK - and make sure they can afford them. Let them ensure keeping the actors they want - and get rid of the dead weight first.

In addition, they have brought in a number of well known actor/actreses from other soaps and used them as quick fixes - and each have been greeted with god-awful writing and their returns were practically wasted.

I don't think AMC can afford any more huge expensive possible mistakes.

I agree. If Kim is going to an ABC soap, it should be OLTL as Echo. Her storyline with Clint was great. Or she would work on GH as maybe a recast Celia Quartermaine. I don't think AMC could use her right now. Besides, I have stopped watching again, and now, I don't even watch Angie and Jesse anymore. Sigh. They need to get rid of half the cast and bring back characters with history on the show and build on that. I truly believe that we the viewers would accept that if it greatly improves the show, and I say that because most people say the show is much improved, so it could use more improving.

I am sure Jamie Lunar isn't cheap. There could be some cost cutting for them!

Yeah, but it feels like they really love the actress, so she probably ain't going nowhere.

I loved JL on Savannah but think they are missing the boat with her.

So if Megan McTavish returns as HW, would that be a better or worse chance that they would bring back Dixie? She did feed her the poison pancakes, but maybe they have had a change of heart??
