So Cady is coming back! Yay! Any word on what the storyline will be about? I definitely will be tuning in!!!
Gee Whiz! Maybe the amazing Dr. Haywood had her tucked away in some other obscure New England town while he pumped the poison pancakes out of her stomach and found another miracle drug to "unpoison" her! (I apologize to all citizens of Gloucester, being from Maine, I am quite familiar with your town, but don't you wish they'd teach some of the actors how to pronounce Gloucester? Jamie Luner for one. ) Dixie's probably going to appear to JR in a dream to give him hope to fight the fight. Wish she could come back for real, though.
Actually, I'm betting Dixie shows up and appears to Tad telling him it's okay to move on with Fake Liza, which is crap, since Dixie hated the Real Liza...Short term stints don't work......Why not bring her back fulltime and give the T/D fans something to watch.......Whatever....
I agree with you. It will probably be something cheesy like bringing her back as a ghost. Because God forbid AMC give the fans what they want and bring her back to the show full time!! We as true fans of AMC wouldn't even necessarily need a solid story that made sense to bring Cady back, we just want her back. I'm actually so sick of the revolving door status of Dixie. Either bring her back full time or don't bother at all. Every time it looks like Tad might possibly be moving on, they throw Dixie back in the mix, but she never stays longer than 6 months. Why bother? It was a huge mistake to kill her character off, in the first place. Just like they brought back Julia, then killed her off. It's completely pointless to bring a character back for short term purposes, becasue in the end you just end up ticking the fans off. We don't want Dixie as a ghost, so if that's the case don't even bother with the story.

First of all, David had Greenlee hid in Gloucester Mass. It's not obscure. It's on beautiful Cape Ann. That said...Dixie returns..so what. Dixie died maybe an ignoble death for a legacy character, but she's dead keep her that way. This is another actress like Eden Riegel and Rebecca Budig that uses AMC as their personal ATM machine when they're out of work. Resurrecting old characters is not going to correct the mistakes this show made over the past two years, the destruction of character integrity and dismissal of show history. Until they fix these things, right the wrongs, such as Jessie's other family, correcting the paternity of Bianca's baby, putting Annie away where she belongs, and hiring actresses that know how to act bringing back Dixie, Brooke, even Phoebe and Myrtle is only masking all of the wrongs done to AMC especially under Pratt's poison keyboard.
I'm glad Cady is returning. I only wish AMC would give her a long-term offer. AMC needs to remind viewers of the days when it was good, when family mattered, when familiar faces did things the audience understood and recognized. Under B&E and then Pratt, all that changed. AMC needs to rehire Walt Willey, Cady, and yes, even TK to bring back veterans who can act and who play characters AMC's faithful have known and loved. Dixie should have a shot at raising Kathy. We should see more Team Slater scenes with Zach, Kendall and their boys. Jack should find out that Greenlee is alive. That's what I want to see on AMC, but unfortunately, AMC keeps offering stunt casting and short-term stories rather than rebuilding from its foundation. It's a shame.
I completely, totally agree with you. It is like a revolving door, over at AMC. Bianca, Greenlee and Dixie seem to come and go as often as the seasons change. It really gets to be quite frustrating, as a fan. Whatever happened to finding a great recast. ( Take a few ques from General Hospital...the new Carly is awesome!) If they don't want to come back and stay find someone who does. Granted, the writers have to give them a reason to stay. These last two years have been a great example of how to run off your cast and your fans. I have a theory on it all....I believe the people over at CBS or NBC may have slipped Charles Pratt a little bonus for running AMC into the ground. I know they are suppsed to be announcing the new head writer for AMC soon, and I pray that they have thought long and hard on who should fill those shoes. Whomever you may be, don't screw it up!! The fans have had enough and we want our show back. Take the time to go over your AMC history and get the show back on track. Here's an idea though, bring back Gillian...LOL I know it's a long stretch, but she and Greenlee hated each other. It would be so great to see them go after each other again. I'm not looking forward to Erica and Greenlee catfighting it out. Give Erica a substantial story. She's a little too old for this fluff that you guys have been giving her, here lately.
Geez, Cara, I said that with a smile (didn't you notice the grinning faces??) I am familiar with the lovely town of Gloucester, but perhaps people in other parts of the country haven't heard of it. This is the second time I've been scolded in this forum. I guess I'd better keep my humor under wraps. This is serious business here.
What bothers me the most about the revolving door policy for the chosen few is this...Everytime ER, RB, or CMc need a bit of cash or their board and need something to do, they come back to AMC for a short while....ER does a few weeks/months, RB stays for a year, CMc is like a gypsy and doesn't want to commit to anything permanent, but they come back and characters & s/l are changed to accommodate them..Now, CMc/Dixie has a massive fan base and Dixie is a popular character, but her last return was crap because she wanted one thing, her fans wanted another, and three great characters got raked over the coals to give it to her, only for [censored] to kill her off with Babe's pancakes..RB decided to hit the road... Good for her, but her return last time ticked off many because the destruction caused for her still affects all the characters damaged by that..RB didn't want GL to be the baby-napping, baby-maiming stalker that B&E were writing her as, so SS/GL gets the short shaft.... Kendall is turned into the bad guy... Spike suddenly isn't deaf because of GL, and GL is the victim....I still hate seeing pics of her anywhere near Kendall's kids....Not to mention, AT/Aidan got screwed over royally because Frons wanted Rylee...ER last return was horrendous of no fault of her own mind you..... She came back to play a love story for Reeks, only Pratt screwed her over, but the damage to other characters and to Bianca is permanent...I don't blame anyone for wanting to spread their wings and try something different...I don't blame anyone for wanting a job, but when they turn the show upside down for short stints, it hurts the show..This is done more for RB/GL then anyone...but it still sucks...If they are bringing CMc back as Dixie... Do it for long term and bring back "REAL" Dixie....Not that thing they brought back the last time...and not the damn ghost Dixie...JMO...
Wasn't Cady fired her last major go around for speaking up about the direction they were taking MK's character? I hardly think that was pulling up to the ATM and withdrawing. She had the guts to speak her mind and then got canned for it. Which is sad in my opinion.
Quote:Wasn't Cady fired her last major go around for speaking up about the direction they were taking MK's character? I hardly think that was pulling up to the ATM and withdrawing. She had the guts to speak her mind and then got canned for it. Which is sad in my opinion. Cady did finally speak out for MEK, after months of badmouthing his character when she first returned...Cady didn't want T/D the last time... She wanted Dixie with Zach so they attempted to give her that....when that bombed because fans were outraged, not only by the story, but by her blog, they started to write her as the Dixie fans knew....Then, she spoke out in defense of MEK/Tad....and only then...
I am all for Dixie coming back, as long as it's not in ghost form. Dixie doesn't necessarily haved to be paired with Tad, in my opinion. I mean she did have a brief thing with David, in the past, so they could always play around with that...big custody battle for her and Tad. I mean, because if she does come back alive, I think Tad should be done with her. He can only take so much from her, and unless she was being held prisoner, I would say kick her to the curb. Liza and Tad could always get more serious....maybe even get married, and then have Dixie show up. That would be am azingly tense, because we know where Tad's heart is, but he would be married to another woman. And with Brooke making her way back to Pine Valley, the possibilities are endless.
I agree that if Dixie comes back alive, it has to be after being comatose while she was being cured. She couldn't show her face to Tad like she did last time, after staying away on purpose and making him suffer thinking she was dead. I'm curious to see how this is going to play out.
I can't imagine Dixie coming back alive after being "comotose". I mean they are already doing that with Greenlee right now. How many dead people coming back can they do at the same time without looking ridiculous??OH wait, this is AMC. Looking ridiciulous is the norm at AMC at this time..so who kjnows...
ER does a few weeks/months, RB stays for a year, CMc is like a gypsy and doesn't want to commit to anything permanent, but they come back and characters & s/l are changed to accommodate them.. Mrskaz...these things are for me it a nutshell...the damage that's done to characters that are committed to the show to accommodate the chosen few who add nothing to the show. When Cady came back the last time she wanted a storyline with Thorsten Kaye, even though he was heavily embroiled in a storyline with Alicia Minshew. They accommodated her and the storyline was one that really should not have involved Zach but Tad. It made no sense, but they had to honor their commitment to a returning diva. All it did was make the fans hate her and in the process ruin her character. When she spoke up for MEK's Tad, it was not her place to do so..it was his. She didn't care that the character of Kendall was getting screwed over when she came back, she didn't speak up for her and didn't care that MEK wasn't involved in a storyline that was rightfully his and not Thorsten Kaye's..she wanted what she wanted and they gave it to her. The same thing with Eden Riegel. Zach had no business being involved int that storyline with Reese and Bianca nor should he have fathered that baby..a baby I might add that really needn't have existed. If Pratt wanted to tell a lesbian story then tell it. The baby was not necessary. So to accommodate Tamara Braun and Eden Riegel, both the characters of Zach and Bianca were ruined. There were myriad numbers of story lines Thorsten Kaye could have been involved in while Alicia Minshew was on her sabbatical. Pratt was too creatively bankrupt to come up with anything. He didn't know how to write for character. Greenlee...UGH! I am still bi*ching over the fact she never paid for trying to kill Laura English by pushing her over the railing of the yacht, outing Bianca, and kidnapping Spike. Kidnapping Spike was something the actress didn't think Greenlee would do, so when she returned during the unscrupulous, crass and unprofessional 'Real Greenlee' campaign Frons accommodated her wishes. Voila! Spike is deaf because of some nebulous heretofore never mentioned condition that a pediatrician would have picked up much earlier. Another kick in the face to the intellect of the fans. I lost all respect for this actress then(if I ever had any). Poor Sabine Singh, who was coming into her own as Greenlee got screwed over but was professional enough to give it her all knowing she was being screwed over. How cutthroat of Frons and Rebecca Budig..Please don't say Frons or Pratt had no agendas here with these actresses. (And these actresses have made it known they wanted to return.) They sought them out and made promises regardless of the commitment the permanent more loyal actors had with AMC. Instead of incorporating the returning divas into what was going on.I wonder if they were carried into he studio on palettes by slaves like Cleopatra into Rome?NBC is doing the same thing to Conan O'Brien to accommodate Jay Leno, that Frons did to Sabine Singh, Thorsten Kaye and Alicia Minshew to kowtow to Cady, Rebecca and Eden. Isn't it time Frons was let go?
Like I said on Insider Access, the writers need to have Kendall wake up dreaming that there had been a tornado in PV and simply wipe out everything that has happened since then.p.s. If they're going to bring back dead people I vote they bring back the original 'Babe.'
Quote:Like I said on Insider Access, the writers need to have Kendall wake up dreaming that there had been a tornado in PV and simply wipe out everything that has happened since then.p.s. If they're going to bring back dead people I vote they bring back the original 'Babe.' And Stuart.

If they're going to bring back dead people I vote they bring back the original 'Babe.' As much as I would love this (and I think most fans would accept it) I think Babe needs to stay dead. That's the only good thing Pratt did.It doesn't have to be dream...the tornado could have happened..Kendall just got knocked unconscious and was in a coma for only a few days rather than a few months.Josh didn't die; she didn't need a transplant which was ridiculous in the first place; Bianca's pregnancy was by a surrogate; Greenlee can stay dead ; bring Stuart back; Annie went to prison; Randi died; Ryan found a new truelove, Jack is still in Pine Valley. Let them fix all of this then bring back the vets we missed.Bringing back fan favorites without fixing the damage done is like building without a foundation. Pratt destroyed the foundation and changed the face of the show. I don't know if anyone can return it to what it once was with some of the characters that are left.ETA: what is Insider Access?
Well since Adam is going to die sometime in the near future I personally think Dixie will be the one that takes him to heaven -- you know, he sees a light and Dixie comes floating thru it with her hand outstretched to take him up to heaven with her. Or did they already do that in that cheesy episode where he died on his wedding day?
Insider Access was a short-term program abc did for about a year to find out how we fans liked what they were doing with their daytime shows. They shut it down not long after Pratt was fired. Phyllis Schnell (?spelling?) was also on it -- that's why when I discovered she was on this forum I joined. During the course of the year the posters on IA got more outspoken about what tptb were doing to our show and I thought I was seeing some changes based on what we had said, but since the shows are still Pratt's I seriously doubt if those changes are real.
Thank you. I don't know if they would have made any changes based on reactions of the fans. I say this because the fans have been outspoken ever since Pratt took over, but he continued on regardless of the fans reactions. Or maybe his firing was in part inspired by fans reactions and if it was, why did it take so long?
Quote: Or maybe his firing was in part inspired by fans reactions and if it was, why did it take so long? $10...a Doughnut, and a bottle of wine says it was all in his contract. He more than likely had protections written in there, and it was simply less expensive to keep him around, low ratings, LA move and all.
Paul, I thought about that, but I tend to think Pratt firing came from higher up than Frons...Frons loved him..... and approved every single thing Pratt put in front of him......I'm betting that someone above Frons finally stepped in and did the right thing...Now, if they would only fire Frons...and hire someone who knows something about daytime....and has respect for women, that would make a huge difference...
I agree with you..Almost. I do believe that it should be a dream that Kendall is having to get rid of the mess that Pratt made. Although, I do think they shoud bring back the "Original Babe," bring back Dixie alive and well, have Annie back with Ryan...I know it sounds crazy, but there was a time when he actually did love her. Pratt just screwed her over when they brought Greenlee back and Ryan remembered everything except ever loving Annie (Completely Bogus). Give Randi a more interesting story where she gets in a relationship with Frankie, but secretly hooks on the side. You know have a secret relationship with the now dead DA (Geez AMC, look at the news some time these things are happening in real life..Politicians who sleep around. Could be an interesting story. Bring Jack back and have him and Erica actually get married and be happy for a little while. I mean, Erica being Greenlee's stepmom is drama in itself. Bring Brooke back and give her an interesting story. Julia Barr is sooo talented and she shouldn't be put on the backburner. Bring Bianca and Reese back. And if you can't convince Thorsten to travel back and forth...find a suitable recast. I know people don't want that, but I'm in fear that when Alicia comes back they are going to do something really stupid with the Kendall character...We don't want to have to live through some kind of Ryan/Kendall/Erica/Greenlee storyline.
Kendall dreaming the last year sounds cool on paper, but, logistically, it would throw a lot of story out. Actors have left their parts. People have been hired and fired. Production now in LA...sets are changing. The whole nine-yards.But, boy I wish it could be done. then I can start watching again!
I just wish they would find a way to bring back the Dixie character full time. I hope she isn't going to be a ghost!
Yay! She's back! Booo! She's a ghost! I do love how in heaven you can get your hair did.
Is she back yet? I miss her. Is it wrong to wish they would kill someone so I can see Dixie again???
Any news out there if they are bringing Cady back any time soon??
i know she is going back to as the world turns as rosanne but have heard nothing about returning as dixie!
No, because too many of the fans actually WANT that to happen.
They want her back and not as a ghost!
Having Dixie come back, and not as a ghost, would be a MAJOR step in the right direction for AMC. At least then the fans wouldn't be subjected to days and days of Ryan, Greenlee & David every freaking day.
How do you think they could bring her back? One more sin of David's? Zack's dad could have her?
I think tying it to Zach's dad would be a much better angle to go with. I'm getting kind of tired of every bad deed leading to David. They could have Zach be the one to discover what happened to Dixie, since they once shared a slight romance...then they could make Zach's father responsible for Zach's on disappearance.....that would be a way of bringing Zach back in the future, if they ever work out a deal with TK
Sorry, but Dixie is deader than dead. She welcomed Palmer into heaven, tells me she ain't coming back alive. And if she ever did come back, please keep her away from Zach.
I doubt that Zach goes anywhere. I'm sure they will come to some sort of agreement. After all, they could all move to California if OLTL was cancelled.
It's MEK that needs the attention. I just don't see anyone on canvas for a love interest for him. Dixie would fix that!
Ok Kendall, let's not put that out there in the atmosphere. OLTL is my favorite soap. I would be devistated if it ever got cancelled. OLTL is the reason why I stay so faithful to ABC. If they ever consider cancelling a show on ABC it should definitely be All My Children. It has gone waaaaayyy down for me, I can say without hesitation, I would not miss it as much as I would miss OLTL.
Just think of how Dixie's return could rejuvenate the whole show. It would be so awesome. In fact, that one plot point where Zach's dad said he did not kill her could be revisited and that would tie Dixie into Zach and Kendall, and Ryan (remember they were once tight and didn't Ryan once have a crush on her) and play right into the renewed Courtlandt/Chandler war,and maybe affect her relationship with her son and his cousin, which would put her at odds with Annie, because she would champion Marrissa, which would connect her once again to Krystal, and she and Calbe could reconnect, which would put her in Erica's orbit, and David's love for her could be reignited, which means Greenlee would not want to give her husband up so soon once she sees that there is someone he wants more than her. And then there is Liza, who would find herself being a romantic rival for Tad's affection. Her return could affect the whole show. BRING DIXIE BACK.
I have very fond memories of being little and watching Tina Lord get in trouble. I really think OLTL may have been my first introduction to Soap Operas. I just think that the move for AMC to California was part of a larger plan. I don't want any show to be cancelled.
Unfortunately, the larger plan is cost cutting money saving. If ABC does not pull its' head out of its' azz and start holding their head writers and EP's accountable for the poor performance of the shows, then said shows are doomed. The Peeps over at GH MUST have something on Frons....LOL WHY do they still have a job?? It took ABC forever to start the change here at AMC, and it is still a mess. They will wake up one day, and be like 'WTF?' WHY is that show still around. Get rid of it and put Rikki Lake in there. It is cheaper to lose money on Rikki Lake than to lose money on a soap....(OK, Rikki is just an example...but you get it)
I understand cost cutting, but give me one Cady over five of these actors (Marissa, Colby, Scott, Liza, etc). I'm sure they could give Dixie multiple personalities, no script, and set up a camera with better results than what they are currently getting.
Me too. People keep saying the show is improving and I guess it is, but I am still not satisfied. Maybe the only way I will be is if they bring back Wisner Washam. Is he still alive. I believe that he created my beloved Dixie. He wrote some of the best stories AMC has ever had. Sigh
Totally agree with you guys. I would take Dixie over several of the cast memberst that are currently stinking up the show. They could lose Colby, Damon, Scott, Marissa, Madison, Fake Liza....all for one Dixie, and it would make a world of difference.
I watched 35% of the show today and that is up from just deleting it. I loved watching Angie's face when Amanda joked about people thinking she was pregnant for not drinking the wine. But that just shows you that I'm watching the vets and not the others. Recast Jamie and have him be JR's business rival with a back-from-the-dead Dixie. I hate to say this because I always felt for Scott but they need to ditch him. Sadly, the only thing that could help him is maybe Stuart and that isn't happening.
I like Scott. I just think they need to do something with him that could bring out his charm. I say recast him with Daniel Cosgrove and pair him with Greenlee. Or pair him up with a bad girl who could bring out another aspect of his personality. He was raised by Stuart. So Scott is going to be a decent stand up guy. He just needs better writing. You know, someone mentioned bringing Lindsay Hartley as Anita. How about seeing what she could do with him.
Why would you want to lose Marissa and have Dixie back? They both are very boring characters. Haven't you ever noticed the comparisons between Marissa and Dixie? If she was alive, she'd approve very highly of Marissa.Sorry, but Dixie is dead, dead, dead and I think we have played taps over her a few times. Let's keep it that way. I know you all want her return because of the unlikability of some of the present characters, but if I remember correctly she was hated most passionately on her last return because of her involvement with a married man, Zach, and because she didn't confide in her family. Even uncle Palmer turned against her. What we need are better casted actors in the parts they are playing. Scott as a business mogul? Don't think so.He should have been an artist. JR? He's the loser drunken son of a very powerful man and should have been left that way. His affair with Annie is stupid and distasetful. And Borisssa? As much as she may be painful to watch, at least she stood by him when he was ill, gave him some hope and encouragement, and loved his son and he pays her back with an affair with Annie? He's a loser, and she may be boring, but she's too good for him. Kill off Annie, send Scott to jail for stealing whatever it was from Palmer and turn JR back into the drunk he is and then we'll talk Dixie. And when all this happens, have Zach and Caleb acquire Chandler and Cortlandt , the casino and Cambias. Then real men will be in charge. Put Scott in charge of the the gallery.
I appreciate your opinion. I loved me some Dixie, just like I loved me some Natalie. And I believe that capitalizing on their history would benefit the show today, because alot of the show's history belongs to those two characters. Dixie's last return was wanted and needed. But due to bad writing and bad blood, it came to an abrupt and unnecessary end. The show's ratings started declining not long afterwards and even some of the top brass admitted that they had made a mistake and underestimated Dixie's popularity and importance to the show. Her return would be exciting for the show and under the right conditions could really rejuvenate characters and stories. And she along with Kathy, and JR would be a link between 3 very prominent families in the show's history. Marissa doesn't have to leave. She needs a story transplant. We look at her and all we see is Babe's twin and Krystal and David's daughter. There is no reason she should be so boring. You can be a good girl and still be viable. I think one of the reasons she is not is because she doesn't seem to inspire the writers. They haven't put her in any predicaments that make me want to root for her. And as Krystal and David's daughter, I want to root for her. I thought after Tad's presumed death, it would be over for Dixie, but guess what? She actually grew. They put her with Craig, had her strike up a friendship with Gloria, who slept with her husband, slept with Will and was raped by him, had her marry Brian Bodine to keep JR from Adam, and when Tad returned, slept with him while he was married to Brooke, a MAJOR LEGACYcharacter. Then she further developed a backbone and rescued her beloved when his lookalike tried to kill him. She may have been boring to a lot of people, but Dixie was very multifaceted. And until that Zach crap, was true to herself during her whole history. She was kind, benevolent to a fault (which got her into trouble with men because they tended to fall in love with her) and her entire throughline throughout her existence was her love for her children and her love for Tad. And that love drove many a story.Natalie's history is somewhat still being played out on AMC because Amanda is on the canvas. Natalie raised her during her first few years as her mother. And her conception and birth, spawned golden stories: Natalie in the well, Will's murder among others, and some wonderful characters were created: Janet, Dimitri, Edmund, etc. And because of Janet's jealousy of Natalie, years of storyline occurred. And let's not forget her son Timmy. That very history I am talking about could come back into play if he returned with a chip on his very rich shoulders. He could play into pretty much any storyline because his mother was involved with all the major players and their families are still on the canvas. He could drive story for years if he was there.Don't underestimate the power a character could have on a show. B&B got years of storyline out of Sheila Carter, even when she was written into a corner. Everytime Craig came back to ATWT, it always has done wonders for the show. Even though Viki is the leading character on OLTL, Todd has been the character that has drove story since the moment he first appeared. Sometimes it is just what it is. Characters make such an impact that they can really and truly leave a lasting impact on a show. And because of that, show's should take advantage of their rich histories. I am a firm believer in using history to affect present and future. That is one of the reasons why B&B and Y&R are 1 and 2 in the ratings. They are always using history to advance story. (Brooke sleeps with Deacon, now Oliver) They pretty much keep their casts intact and when you can do that you can go back 20 years and do flashbacks that can explain why characters act the way they act and feel the way they feel. And they treat us the audience, the loyal ones who tune in day in and day out for years and want what is best for their show. I LOVED AMC once upon a time and I want to love it again, because right now, I don't. And though many people feel it is much improved from just a year ago, I am not feeling the love because I don't see history at play. Palmer's death rightly affected Erica, Opal, Tad, Krystal, and JR. But for me to see Caleb, who by the way is a real man, but one i had not heard of until a few months ago, put in charge of Courtlandt Electronics, when I have seen and loved and rooted for several of PC's heirs over the years, made me nauseous. And one more thing, your thoughts on Scott and Zach were spot on.

Good points, but we will have to agree to disagree about Dixie. I've been squawking about disrespect for and to history and integrity of characters ever since Pratt was allowed to monkey around with the show. And yes you are correct, there was a major admission on the part of the top brass about having killed off Dixie. (I'd like them to admit that Bianca's sleazy request of her brother in law was a mistake too.) But JMO, I think there might be more to her being killed off than we know and more to why they haven't resurrected her. They chose to resurrect Greenlee instead, another mistake.I'm not underestimating the power of a returning character. I am very well aware that Brooke did wonders for AMC this past winter, it's Dixie that I don't think will do anything.Brooke however, is a more viable return. JMO, but I think Julia Barr had/has more loyalty to AMC than Cady McClain. How long would she stay if she came back? If I were a Dixie fan, I would wonder about that and wouldn't want to waste my time giving her any attention only for her to up and leave to go wherever. On the subject of Brooke, she was great with Tad and they have a lot of chemistry too. Second to Dixie , Brooke was the best for Tad. They share a son as well and she too has lot of history with the show and interconnections with other characters. I also loved Simone with Tad. There was a lightheartedness to that pairing. I'm sorry they didn't delve into it more deeply. They always wrote her as deep as a puddle. And for your nausea, please take an antiemetic and rest then think on this: who else should have inherited Cortlandt? Bobby? The last we heard he was runnning Zach's LV casinos.Petey? he still hasn't gone to college. Perhaps it would have been best to have left the company in trust to Caleb for Petey and Bobby. But these writers don't seem too entrenched in history anymore than Pratt was.I like Caleb. He and Zach are yes real men and they have an indolent grace about them that is most attractive and can only come with experience and intellect.I'm sorry but there is a lot lacking in Scott and JR as leading men. Sorry but everytime I see them I think of the end of Tom Hanks movie 'Big' when his character was sent back home and he was standing in the middle of the street wearing a grown man's suit but he was a little boy again.

It seems like it's a short term gig. I bet she is coming back as a ghost or some memory...we'll see.
