Her obsession with Bill is getting kinda gross too. It is just a little too much.

I stopped watching the show during that time. I believe she was the one with Josh right?

To answer the Annie question - She showed up as Rick's ex-wife from Chicago. She was a nurse, and fell for Josh while he was recovering (Josh rescued a young Marina [I think?] from a collapsing building, but he got injured.) She was a sweet, recovering addict (she had been hooked on prescription pills, and even stole Rick's Rx pad at one point). She and Josh happily got married. However, she was fairly boring. That is, until Reva came back from the dead and Annie went nuts trying to hold on to Josh. Knowing Josh didn't want any more kids, she slashed her diaphram, and when that didn't work she went to a fertility clinic and impregnated herself (yes, they stole this with Ava, but wait . . .). Annie started cramping, and the out-of-town doctor she went to couldn't find a heartbeat in the ultrasound. So, Annie picked a fight with Reva at a party (at the top of some stairs), and made it look like Reva pushed her. In front of most of the town, Annie "fell" down the stairs and Reva was blaimed for the death of the unborn baby. Annie was involved with Alan for awhile, and he really loved her for the crazy schemer she was. She is also the one who forced the plane Reva was in to crash, causing Josh to clone Reva. She was played (at this time) by the wonderful Cynthia Watros.Several years later, a new cop named Teri arrived in Springfield (played by Signey Coleman, best known as Hope on Y&R). It was soon revealed that Annie had had plastic surgery and taken the real Teri's identity. She tormented Josh for a little longer, but wasn't as interesting this time around. The last time we saw her, Alan had set her up in a private aslyum - and her room was an exact replica of Josh and Reva's house! She and Dinah were good friends, in fact, Dinah was the first to realize Teri was actually Annie (she had revealed herself to a drugged-up Josh, so the audience already knew, but Dinah figured it out by Teri/Annie's mannerisms).

Wow. Sum it up like that and it makes me wonder how I can watch these soaps for so many years!!! They addict us!Thanks for the update I really appreciate it.
