Monday

Bo called Abe to report that he tracked Andre to the pier by the warehouse, but that Steve was bleeding at the funeral home because he was stabbed. Abe, who was at the hospital, said he'd go over to Kayla's and fill her in.

At the hotel, Kayla and Stephanie continued to argue about Jeremy. Steph
said she was going back to Adrienne's. Kayla told her she couldn't leave
until Abe got there. There was a knock at the door. Steph answered it,
thinking it would be Abe, but it was a bloody Steve. Kayla ordered Steph to
call 911, then tended to her husband. Steve asked if Kayla had heard from
Bo, but Kayla said no. Steve asked for a phone and called him. Bo said he
had Andre cornered at an abandoned warehouse and was waiting for backup.
Steve asked if it was an old shoe factory. Yes, Bo replied. "I'll be there
in 10," Steve vowed and hung up. Kayla told him he wasn't going anywhere.
Abe arrived. Kayla went downstairs to check where EMS was. Abe took the
opportunity to ask Steph about Jeremy. Steve couldn't believe she harbored a
fugitive. Before they could get into it, Kayla arrived with the EMTs. Kayla
wanted to go to the hospital with Steve, so Steph offered to babysit Pocket.
Kayla softened, and despite the fighting about Jeremy, appreciated Steph's
offer. After Kayla left, Steph called Jeremy and left a message asking if he
was still en route to Seattle.

Sami organized a search party for Roman at the Pub. She handed out fliers
and asked the volunteers to put them up around town. EJ arrived to help, to
Lucas's chagrin. Sami sent the guys out together to pass out the fliers.
They arrived at the warehouse, where Bo told them to get out of there. Too
late: Andre revealed himself and pulled a gun on Lucas. Bo tried to call
Andre off, to no avail. Bo was forced to drop his weapon. A standoff ensued
as a Salem PD helicopter arrived. Andre told Bo that Roman was inside the
warehouse and that if Bo wanted to save him, he had to get in there quickly
because he only had seconds to do so. Andre then threw a grenade inside and
squired Lucas and EJ away. Abe arrived on the scene and Bo filled him in
about Andre. Bo then revealed that while Roman wasn't inside, the leather
folio was and it's now in Bo's possession.

Max tried to hit on a search party volunteer, but Chelsea ruined his game.
Chelsea pointed out to him that he goes through women quickly, naming Mimi,
Abby and Steph as examples. She then asked him how he felt about Steph; he
said she'd hurt him in a heartbeat if Jeremy came back. He then added that
he saw Steph as a "buddy". Chelsea noted that it was clear there was more
going on. Max ended the conversation, saying he wanted to watch the Bears
game. Chelsea pressed, so Max admitted that yes, he likes Steph. Chelsea
assured him that Steph likes him, too.

Back at the Pub, Sami made frantic calls around town trying to find Roman.
Grandpa Shawn came downstairs and told her he was looking for Bo. Sami urged
him to be honest about what happened with Colleen so they could save Roman's
life. Grandpa Shawn admitted it was hard for him to look back. "I can't bear
thinking of it," he said softly. Andre arrived. Sami demanded to know where
Roman was. He said he had two other hostages that would interest her more
— Lucas and Elvis. "You still have to help me decide who's going to
die.... I shall look after both of them until you make your choice. So,
that's the bargain I'm offering. You have a chance to save one of them," he
challenged her, then told her to meet him at 9 p.m. and left.

Tuesday

Stephanie came to the hospital to visit Steve, after leaving Pocket with
Caroline. Steve asked if she had heard from Jeremy. She slipped that he was
probably halfway to Seattle, then begged her father to keep mum. He said
that he and the cops were "strictly on a need-to-know basis." Steve tried to
talk to her about what a heel Jeremy is, but she didn't want to have the
conversation. He asked her point-blank if she was still in love with him and
she admitted she was.

At Nick's apartment, Jeremy hid out, playing card games with Artemis and
DeMarquette. After, Nick sent the boys to bed and set some ground rules with
a reluctant Jeremy. Suddenly, there was a knock at the door: it was Chelsea.
Jeremy hid. Chelsea brought comic books for the boys but Nick told her it
was a bad time. She asked if he was still annoyed that she broke up with
him. She apologized and admitted she could have handled things better. The
boys came out, asking Nick to read them a bedtime story. Chelsea offered to
do it, but Nick said no. She accused him of hiding a girl somewhere in the
apartment. He said he wasn't. She asked if she could take a peek to be sure.
Artemis mentioned Uncle Jeremy, so Jeremy had to reveal himself. "Nick,
you're harboring a fugitive," Chelsea gasped. The kids took their comics and
went into the bedroom. Jeremy asked Chelsea why she was so annoyed that he
was there and she went off on him about how much trouble he had caused for
her friends. "I don't know how you did it, man. I couldn't put up with her
for one day," Jeremy groused to Nick of Chelsea. Nick told him to shut up.
Jeremy decided to leave, but there was another knock at the door. It was a
man named Umar Abboud, who said he was there about the boys. Nick claimed
they were gone. "I know they're here, Mr. Fallon," Abboud said. Nick was
alarmed that he knew his name. Abboud said that their father is a powerful
man with many enemies and that Nick needed to trust him because the boys
were in danger.

Sami tried to reach Lucas on his cell phone, to no avail. Bo found Sami and
told her that Andre was holding Lucas and Elvis hostage. Sami said she would
track them down, but Bo said no. Bo showed her the contents of the folio.
She was horrified to realize that she alone could end the DiMera nightmare.
She got sick to her stomach, so Bo went to get her toast and ginger ale. Her
cell phone rang. It was Andre, reminding her of their meeting. She ran out
and arrived at the warehouse late. Andre greeted her. She demanded to know
where Lucas, Roman and EJ were. "All in good time, my dear," he grinned,
then suggested she had feelings for EJ. She denied it, then called out for
both Lucas and EJ. Andre offered her a deal: To save Roman (who was shown in
a coffin, buried alive), either EJ or Lucas would have to die and she would
choose which one.

Max came to the hospital to see Steve, and overheard Steph say she loves
Jeremy. Kayla came in after. Steve told them all about Lucas and EJ being
held hostage. Stefano arrived; Steve told Max to take Steph home. Once alone
with the Johnsons, Stefano explained that he was looking for a peaceful
solution to the vendetta. Not surprisingly, they didn't believe him. Stefano
suggested meeting the terms of the vendetta, since it wasn't hard to do, but
didn't tell him what the terms were. Stefano said that if the terms weren't
met, then he wouldn't be responsible for the hell the Bradys would all have
to endure.

Max and Steph discussed the vendetta and Roman's disappearance. The
conversation turned to Jeremy and Max confessed that he overheard the tail
end of her conversation with Steve. She lamented that she should have stayed
in Dayton, then apologized for leading Max on. The nearly kissed again. He
told her she was irresistible. She said they should wait for anything to
happen between them until she had Jeremy completely out of her system.

Bo met with Doug and Julie and told them that Sami was missing. He left them
to look for Shawn and learn the truth about the vendetta. Julie reported
that they had the last batch of letters and would round up the troops to
read them.

Wednesday

Nick demanded to know the identity of Artemis and DeMarquette's father, but
Umar Abboud wouldn't reveal the name. Umar warned Nick that he was in
danger, but Nick insisted he didn't have the boys and claimed they were with
a sitter in the building. The boys came out of their room. Umar asked if
they remembered him. Umar called for the boys to go with him and grabbed for
them. Jeremy roughed up Umar and held him at gunpoint. Mr. Kravitz, the
landlord, banged on the door, but Nick wouldn't let him in. Nick then told
Jeremy to put down the gun, since there were already charges against him.
Nick opened the door for the landlord, who threatened to call the cops. Umar
pushed Jeremy and got away. Nick assured the kids that they were fine.
Chelsea told Jer she wasn't going to call the cops on him. He took off, but
asked Chelsea and Nick to keep mum to Steph that he was still in Salem. He
then left. Chelsea praised Nick's bravery.

John, Marlena, Hope, Doug and Julie gathered at the Pub to read the final
letters of Santo and Colleen. In the past, Santo went to St. Malachy's to
look for Colleen. He asked her where she'd been. She said at the Cloisters,
then said she couldn't keep living in both worlds. She announced she would
marry him and leave the church. He was overjoyed and told her he loved her.
They kissed. In the next letter, Colleen met with her father and Shawn in
the church. Pete asked where her habit was. Father Mallory came out and
Colleen said she had to speak to them. Santo arrived next, but Colleen
shooed him away. He gave her a diamond ring to seal the engagement deal. She
gasped at its size and said it was too extravagant. Pete came over and asked
Santo what he wanted with Colleen. Santo left. Colleen then told Father
Mallory and Pete that her true vocation was to be a wife and mother and that
she was leaving the church. Pete was outraged and blamed Santo. She
reaffirmed her love for her father and brother. "Leave the boy be. You're no
sister to him... and no daughter to me," Pete snarled. Father Mallory
cautioned that it was a big decision and shouldn't be taken lightly. She
handed over her diamond ring and told him to use the money for the needy and
the poor, then left.

At the warehouse, Andre reiterated to Sami that she would have to kill
either Lucas or EJ to save Roman. Andre decided to let each man plead for
his life. Lucas urged Sami to run away. He then made a heartfelt appeal to
her to leave and raise their children with enough love for both of them. EJ
told her to go, too. She said she couldn't because then they would die.
Andre handed her a gun; she turned it on him. Lucas told her to shoot Andre,
but DiMera pointed out that he was the only one who knows where Roman is.
Andre asked which man she chose. EJ piped up, saying she should shoot him
because he has nothing to live for. She took aim at EJ, but Andre pushed her
so she shot Lucas in the leg by mistake. Sami freaked and pulled the sheets
apart to try and stop the bleeding. She hit Andre with the gun, then started
beating him up. While he was unconscious, Sami rifled through his pockets
and found a knife. She set Lucas and EJ free. EJ went to call 911. Lucas
asked if she was really going to shoot EJ. She said she was, but didn't plan
on killing him because she needs EJ to end the vendetta. Before she could
explain, EJ returned; Andre woke up and got away. Sami asked to speak to
Lucas alone. He asked if she still loved him. She insisted she did. He asked
her what was going on. She started to tell him about the folio, but the
paramedics arrived and took Lucas to the hospital. She promised to be there
soon. Once alone, she told EJ that they had to see Stefano right away.

Thursday

Bo collected Steve from the hospital. Lucas — on crutches —
joined them and asked if Bo had seen Sami. Lucas asked what Bo wasn't
telling him. Bo revealed that the contents of the folio are connected to
Elvis and Sami and told him what's inside. Lucas insisted that Sami would
never leave him for EJ. "It's going to save her father's life," Bo pointed
out. Lucas rushed off to stop Sami from making a mistake.

At the warehouse, Sami talked to a police officer about the shooting and
explained that she didn't shoot Lucas on purpose. He said he understands and
told her the force was pulling for her father. After, Sami showed EJ the
contents of the folio: wedding bands, Colleen and Santo's marriage license,
and Santo's letter saying that once his and Colleen's souls were united as
one then peace will finally be granted for the Brady family. Sami told EJ
that if they got married, Santo's soul would be at peace. "There's no other
way," she explained, then she said she would marry him, even though she
still loved Lucas. It would be a marriage in name only, she declared. He
said he understood. Lucas arrived and told them that he knew what was in the
folio. "How did you hear?" Sami stalled. "I had to hear it from Bo instead
of my wife," Lucas groused. He then asked what she planned to do. She said
she and EJ were going to go to see Stefano and work something out. He's "way
beyond mad," Lucas stormed off.

Shawn and Stefano met up at the cemetery. Shawn asked Stefano what he did
with Roman. Nothing, Stefano insisted. Stefano remarked that they had known
each other for half a century and that the DiMeras were in ruin, but the
Bradys were strong. "Was that regret in your voice?" Shawn asked. Stefano
noted that it wasn't too late for them to help each other. Shawn scoffed at
that idea. Stefano reminded him of that night long ago in the inn, where
Stefano revealed to Shawn that his mother was alive and well, and not dead
like Santo had told Colleen. Shawn recalled a time when he was a boy and
Santo was looking for Colleen . He tried to befriend Shawn and asked the boy
if he'd like to see the world. Shawn didn't respond. Santo tried to bribe
him with a gift. "Convince your sister to talk to me one last time," he
implored. Shawn told him to leave Colleen alone and ran off. Back in the
present, Stefano revealed that when Colleen died, his father died, too, and
left a cold, angry person in his place. "I was alone and had to watch my
parents in a sham of a marriage, reduced to anger, bitterness," he spat.

Bo got a call from his officer following Stefano, who told him that Shawn
was with the Phoenix at the cemetery. He asked Steve to wait behind to talk
to Abe, who was on his way to the hospital. Back at the cemetery, Shawn and
Stefano argued over Colleen. Stefano angrily reminded Shawn that he was
responsible for Colleen's death, not the DiMeras. Bo came upon them while
they were feuding and broke it up. Stefano took off, but not before
reminding Shawn that he was willing to end the feud.

The letter readers tried to make sense of Santo and Colleen's final
missives. Santo wrote that he was an outcast in Galway once he and Colleen
were over, but that there was one person who could get them together. The
one person who split them apart in the first place. The next letter was from
Colleen, saying she was completely destroyed and called Santo a wolf in
sheep's garb. She noted that she was happy that Shawn had the courage to
speak up. She then went to the church in her habit, prepared to take her
vows. Father Mallory asked her if she was sure and she said yes, that it was
her first and true calling.

EJ and Sami met with Stefano in his car. Stefano admitted he was beside
himself when he heard that Andre had kidnapped Elvis. Sami told DiMera that
they knew the terms of the vendetta. She asked Stefano if his obsession with
Marlena had anything to do with Santo and Colleen's botched wedding plans.
He said that yes, he loved Marlena as Santo loved Colleen. Sami said she
wanted her father back alive and unharmed. He told her there was no turning
back once she married EJ. "No easy annulments, divorce," he cautioned. Sami
said she understood. He told her to get Mickey started with the divorce
proceedings. She got out of the car. Once alone with EJ, Stefano commended
his son on making the end of the feud happen. EJ didn't look as pleased as
he should.

Shawn returned to the Pub and told the letter readers that it was time he
told them about the night he killed his sister.

At the hospital, Abe told Steve that they found a chauffeur's uniform. Steve
said Andre was wearing a chauffeur's cap when he stabbed him. Abe then told
him that there was a coffin in Andre's hearse and it wasn't empty. They
headed to the cemetery to dig up the grave. They opened it up and found
Benjy inside. Steve was distraught.

Friday

Chelsea and Stephanie —clad in pink —went to the sorority
house Alpha Chi Theta for pledge week. They met sister Morgan Hollansworth
and the girls complimented each other on their shoes. Chelsea wanted to
leave because she thought the sisters were stuck up, but Steph implored her
to stay. The girls were given their pins to wear day and night. Chelsea
asked if the sorority was known for something other than perfect hair and
makeup. Cordy, another sister, explained that their mission was the
homeless. An impressed Chelsea agreed that she judged the sisters too soon,
but worried that if she pledged, it might ruin Steph's chance of getting in.
Steph told Chels she wanted to do it together; they took their pins. The
sisters admitted them to the house.

At the cemetery, Steve freaked out at the sight of Benjy's dead body in the
coffin. He wanted to call an ambulance, but Abe sadly told him it was too
late; Benjy was dead. Steve vowed that Stefano wouldn't get away with it.
Abe tried to talk him out of it, but Steve was determined to exact revenge.

Bo brought Shawn to the Pub to join Marlena, John, Hope, Doug and Julie, who
were reading Santo and Colleen's final letters. Shawn revealed that Santo
lied to Colleen about his wife being dead and that he was the one who
revealed it to her.

In the past, Santo and Colleen talked about how she donated her ring to St.
Malachy. She asked him if he was mad at her. He said he could never be angry
with her. She discussed how mad her father was when she told him she was
leaving the church. "You're all I have," she said softly. Santo vowed never
to let her down or lie to her. He talked about going to America and taking
Shawn with them. Colleen said her father would never let that happen. Pete
arrived with Shawn in tow and told Santo to get his hands off of Colleen. He
then dropped the bomb that Santo was lying to her. Shawn added that Stefano
told her the truth, that his mother was alive and well and living in Italy.
A heartbroken Colleen began to sob and blamed herself for falling for his
lies. "Sometimes, Colleen, there is a deeper truth," Santo said.

Back at the pub, Shawn revealed that Colleen took her vows (and flashbacks
showed it), but Santo arrived and she ran out. Shawn recalled that Colleen
fled the church and they followed. They never found her body, but found her
habit at the edge of the cliff and realized that she killed herself.
