Days Of Our Lives Recaps

DAYS Week of November 19, 2007

Monday

Philip got into Belle's car. She was not happy to see him. He said he just
wanted to talk. "Then call me," she sighed. "I have," he replied. He accused
her of being scared to be alone with him. She said she wasn’t and planned to
marry Shawn the next day. He insisted they belong together and declared his
love for her. “I know you love me, too,” he said. “I love Shawn,” she
replied weakly. Philip asked her to look him in the eye and tell him she
didn’t care about him. She said she couldn’t do it, but that Shawn means
more to her. “He always has and always will,” she said. She ordered him out
of her car. He told her to call him on his private line if she wanted to
talk more.

At the station, Roman showed Kate a gun and asked where she dumped it. She
said it wasn’t her gun. He told her her fingerprints are all over it.
“You’re lying, Roman,” she countered. She asked why she would shoot EJ since
he was doing what she wanted most: getting Sami out of Lucas’s life. Roman
began to read her Miranda rights. Kate insisted it wasn’t her gun. Roman
told an officer to book her. “Touch me and you’ll regret it,” Kate snarled,
then threatened to sue Roman. Roman excused the cop. Once alone, Roman
insisted he was trying to help his ex. He asked her what she did with her
gun. “So you were lying about my prints on the gun,” she retorted, then
stated again that she didn’t shoot EJ. Roman urged her to be honest,
promising to protect her. She admitted that she gave the gun to Philip and
asked him to get rid of it. Roman told her to call Philip to the station.

Bo caught Steve acting shifty behind the bar of the Brady Pub and spied him
hide something in his jacket. Bo asked him to turn it over. Steve gave up
the gun; Shawn came out of the shadows and apologized for telling Bo. “Did
you shoot Junior,” Bo queried. Steve danced around answering. He said he was
at an auto parts store when EJ was shot. “You buy anything? Anyone see you?”
Bo asked. Bo then told him that he knows the owner of the store and they
should go check the security cameras. Steve ’fessed up that he was at the
church and that he intended to shoot EJ but changed his mind once he got
there. Bo asked where he got the gun. “I borrowed it from the DiMera
mansion,” Steve replied. “So you stole it?” Bo said. “Your words, not mine,”
Steve shrugged. Bo took him to the station. Shawn stayed behind. Bo gave his
son a “Good work, man” before departing.

Sami comforted EJ at the hospital and told him she cared about him. She
kissed him as proof then cried that she was scared of losing him. He told
her he loved her. He then confessed he never thought she’d forgive him for
what happened the night of Lucas’s accident. She said it was in the past. He
claimed to be a different man now. “You changed everything for me,” he
whispered. “We changed each other,” she replied. She then urged him to find
his will to live. He said the idea of being with her and his son gives him a
reason to live. She kissed him again, then left. Outside, Stefano was
waiting. She dropped the act. “I think I’m going to be sick,” she spat. He
asked her to sit with him. “What happened?” Stefano wondered. She told him
that she did as he asked and gave EJ a reason to live. The Phoenix said he
wouldn’t forget it. Stefano went into his son’s room and learned that
Elvis’s fever broke. EJ felt well enough to eat, too. He told his father
that Sami had feelings for him. Stefano remarked that EJ seemed “strangely
subdued.” EJ said he was just confused about Sami since she had told him she
was only marrying him to end the vendetta, but hoped they could be a husband
and wife in the real sense of the word. “She makes me very happy, father,”
he smiled. Stefano announced that he and EJ would raise Johnny (or Gianni,
as he called him) to be a real DiMera. EJ pointed out if he hadn’t been
raised all DiMera, he might be more human. “Being human is overrated,”
Stefano noted.

Bo went to Roman’s office and told his brother that he caught Steve with a
gun. Roman admitted that the gun is his and that Steve was lying to protect
him. Steve came into the office and they told Bo what happened. “Bo, I
didn’t shoot EJ,” Roman told him. “But you went to the church with the
intention of killing the man,” Bo seethed.

Philip joined Kate at the station. She revealed that she told the cops that
she asked Philip to hide her gun. “Are you out of your mind?” Philip asked,
pointing out he’s now an accessory after the fact. “You think that I shot
EJ,” she realized. Philip went into Roman’s office and invoked the Fifth
Amendment, then advised them to call the Kiriakis lawyer if they needed any
further info. “I’m going to have to bitch slap that brat one of these days,”
Bo fumed. Philip then quietly lit into his mother.

Belle went to the Pub and showed Shawn the dress she bought Claire for their
wedding. He reported what happened with Steve earlier. “It doesn’t look
good,” Shawn reported. Belle told him he’d be a great cop. “More
importantly, I want to be a great husband and father,” he replied. She said
he was already. He smiled that things were going their way. Belle got
uncomfortable and said that she was supposed to go to Hope’s. “Shawn, I want
to marry you,” she blurted. He said he never said she didn’t, but asked if
someone told her not to go through with it. He asked if she ran into Philip
and wondered if she was having second thoughts. She brushed it off and
smiled that she was fine. Shawn took the dress to put it on Claire so Belle
could see her in it. Belle pulled out the card from Philip that contained
his private number. Shawn returned with Claire. Belle was thrilled. “I can’t
wait to marry you,” she enthused. He told her he would do anything to make
her and Claire happy. “Everything’s going to be perfect,” he promised.

Tuesday

Stephanie arrived at her parents' seemingly empty hotel suite, clutching a
pregnancy test. Kayla walked in from another room and playfully grabbed at
the paper bag, thinking it might contain candy. Stephanie snatched the bag
and started to sob, prompting Kayla to pull out the test. "Oh, Sweetie," she
said in a comforting tone. Stephanie sadly explained that she was "late,"
which Kayla reasoned might be stress-related. Steph, however, broke down in
tears, admitting to having unprotected sex with someone the night she was
mad at Max. Kayla lead her daughter into the other room to take the test,
assuring her that Steve wouldn't find out. Too bad they left the box on the
sofa.... Wouldn't you know it, Steve arrived home — and he was in the
mood, getting all sexy and pulling his wife down to the couch. She quickly
mentioned that Stephanie was home. Steve sensed something was wrong, but
Kayla wouldn't tell. He returned to smooching — until he saw the
pregnancy test box. Urging him not to jump to conclusions, Kayla blurted
that the test belongs to her. She smiled wanly when Steve said he'd be all
for it. Their kiss was interrupted by Stephanie, who came out holding the
stick.

At the Cheatin' Heart, Philip was drinking alone when a pretty girl
approached him. She quickly figured out that he had money and got friendly.
He glared at her when she asked which girl had him drowning his sorrows.
Philip gave her a rather cold brush-off and she stomped away. Max, working
the bar, asked why Philip wasn't into getting lucky. Kiriakis argued that
women won't want him because of his prosthetic leg. (As if tall, handsome
and rich won't do the trick.) Max pointed out that Belle didn't feel that
way. He could tell from Philip's response that he isn't over his ex. After
observing that Max is standing up for Shawn at the wedding, Philip figured
that he should keep mum.... Later on Morgan showed Max a flier of Ford
labeled "Rapist!" which the sorority girls planned on distributing around
the campus. She also mentioned that Cordy is staying in school, but only
taking online courses and refusing to leave the Theta house. Praising Max's
support, Morgan was pulling him into a kiss, when Philip, seated at the
other end of the bar, demanded another drink. Morgan, whose parents were
coming up from Bermuda, invited Max to Turkey Day dinner at Chez Rouge, but
he reminded her that he won't be alone since he's "related to this whole
town." After Morgan left, Max mocked Philip's pity party, taunting him about
having access to limos and private jets. "I'd trade it all ... for Belle,"
Kiriakis grumbled to himself.

Belle showed up at Bo and Hope's place and got misty when she saw it
transformed into a bridal fantasy. "Why would you do all this?" she
whimpered, sighing that she doesn't deserve it. A woman-to-woman talk ensued
and Hope questioned if Belle is really sure of her feelings for Shawn.
"Settling for less" would be unfair to both Belle and Shawn, Hope noted,
offering to help the bride-to-be "bow out gracefully." Belle insisted that
she loves Shawn and the teary women shared a warm moment until Hope brought
up Kayla's name and Belle flipped, asking how many people Hope told. Hope
explained that she kept her promise about not telling Shawn, but defended
confiding in a friend. Belle calmed down and the ladies hugged. Hope noted
that Belle is "more daughter than daughter-in-law."... Afterward, Belle
called Phillip.

Sami returned to Lucas's apartment and suggested they focus on Thanksgiving.
Lucas snapped that they were not going to have a made-for-TV holiday
gathering, adding that Will was on his way back to Zurich. Sami blasted her
ex-husband for allowing Will to just up and leave, but Lucas argued that
Will feels betrayed and hurt by Sami. She accused Lucas of not loving her
enough to wait for her. Thing got worse when Lucas said he was having a
lawyer draw up papers for sole custody of their daughter. "I just lost my
son, there is no way I'm signing away rights to my daughter," railed Sami.
Lucas maintained that he was doing what she was doing: protecting his
family.

Wednesday

Morgan, Chelsea, Carmen and a withdrawn Cordy, descended on the Cheatin' Heart to distribute fliers announcing that Ford is a rapist. Morgan suggested they hit the mall next. Chelsea raised a toast to "taking our lives back," adding, "Here's to Ford Decker, may he go down in flames." Guess who was glowering at the Theta sisters through the window? A short time later, Billie barreled in, clutching a flier, she warned the sisters not to back Decker into a corner. When the other girls went to play a song on the jukebox, Billie asked Chelsea to move back in with her for her own safety. The mother/daughter chat was interrupted by Ford, who charged up to the table to shout at Chelsea and call her a bitch. The Theta sisters gave him the evil eye, prompting Decker to refer to them as the "whole coven of witches" and launch into one of his sleazy tirades. Adrienne ordered him to leave. When he made a suggestive crack about Cordy, Chelsea quite awesomely sucker-punched the rapist, bloodying his nose.

When Stephanie saw that Steve was at the hotel suite, she quickly hid the pregnancy test stick she was holding, then asked to speak to Kayla alone. Kayla sent her hubby on an errand for delicious goodies and Steve played it cool. Once they were alone, Kayla checked the results, which were negative. Still, Kayla urged her daughter to take an HIV test. Steve came home and Stephanie left, giving Steve the opportunity to ask his wife why she pretended the test was hers. He was none-too-pleased when Kayla reported that their girl had a one-night stand, but agreed not to embarrass Stephanie by saying anything. He also made it clear that he'd be happy to have a baby with Kayla, suggesting that they "practice ... a lot.".... Stephanie arrived at the bar as Ford was trying to get someone in the crowd to say they witnessed Chelsea assault him. Nobody would step up, of course. He slithered out, but not before calling Stephanie the "campus slut." Billie tended to her daughter's sore hand and tried in vain to get her to just let the authorities deal with Ford. Afterward, Stephanie invited Cordy to spend Thanksgiving with her family; Cordy accepted. Stephanie, who had a flashback to her awful night with Ford, encouraged Chelsea to keep the pressure on Ford.

Shawn dropped by his folks' house, where he was delighted with the wedding decorations. In the meantime, his bride-to-be paid Philip a visit at the office, wondering if she should come clean with Shawn. After saying he had hoped she'd come to say she wanted Philip back, he called Belle a brat, arguing that she wants Shawn and she wants him waiting in the wings. He asked her to leave. Sexually charged banter ensued. After some smoldering glances and sexy talk, they kissed.... Back at the Brady house, Bo came home. When Shawn was upstairs, Bo and Hope discussed Belle, hoping that she wouldn't hurt him. Shawn came downstairs and asked why they were talking about Philip, the Bradys covered, asking if he was coming to the wedding. Shawn explained that though he was invited, Belle told him to stay away. Bo, itching for a fight, wanted to talk to his half-brother. Shawn assured his folks that he can handle Philip. At that moment, Kiriakis was handling Belle with some very hot kissing. The intercom buzzed and Philip's assistant announced that he had a call from Shawn. A breathless Philip picked up and smirked as Shawn warned him to steer clear of the wedding and to not even send a gift. When Philip turned back to the sofa, Belle had fled.

Thursday

DAYS OF OUR LIVES was pre-empted.

Friday

On Shawn and Belle's wedding day, Marlena looked longingly at a photo of John. "You were supposed to be here," she said. In the kitchen, Doug told Shawn and Max that Caroline and Bo had to take Grandpa Shawn to the hospital because he had stomach pain. Roman left to check on his father.... Chelsea wished Shawn luck. He told her that Belle's bouquet was comprised of forget-me-not in honor of Zack and John.

Upstairs in Hope's room, Belle asked Hope if she had seen her phone because she was waiting for Brady to call. Marlena brought in a something new for Belle, who was touched. Sami said she should have done something as matron of honor. Maggie gave her something borrowed from Alice to commemorate Shawn and Belle's first kiss in Puerto Rico. Belle's phone rang: It was Philip. She hung up on him. The phone rang again. Belle lied that it was Mimi. Everyone left the room. Hope returned a moment later to collect her purse and saw that Belle was already off the phone. A suspicious Hope asked who was really on the phone. Belle insisted it was Mimi.

Julie lamented that Alice was missing the wedding because she was in London with Jack and Jennifer. Lucas revealed that he named their daughter Alice Caroline Horton and would call her Allie. Sami was annoyed that he named the baby without her, but said she loved his choice.

At the hotel, Steve and Kayla got ready to leave for the nups. Stephanie stayed behind to keep Cordy company. "Save me some turkey," she asked. The Johnsons arrived at the house. Steve gave Shawn an expensive watch that Victor sent over as a wedding gift. Belle walked down the aisle on Marlena's arm and was thrown when she spied Shawn's new watch. Memories of Philip came flashing into her mind. Marlena assumed Belle was thinking of John and assured her that John was with her. Belle joined Shawn and asked about the watch. Shawn told her it was from Victor. The ceremony began and Shawn and Belle recited their vows and were pronounced husband and wife.

Billie found Philip at the Brady Pub and offered to hang out with him. Philip said that Belle would be thinking about him — not Shawn — when she walked down the aisle. Billie asked what he meant. He said he sent a little reminder over to Belle. Billie said he was sounding more and more like Victor every day. He told her he didn't want to end up alone like her. She defended her life and said that she is sexy, single and fabulous. Lucas arrived and asked what Phil was doing there, since that's where the reception was being held. Philip left, telling his brother, "When the time is right, it'll happen." "What does that mean?" Lucas queried. Billie told him he didn't want to know.

Ford tracked Steph and Cordy to the hotel suite and threatened to break the door down. Steph threatened to call security. A panicked Steph called Kayla, who said she'd come home right away. She comforted her shaken daughter and Cordy.

Marlena slipped out of the festivities and visited Stefano. She urged him to give Sami her freedom from EJ. Stefano insisted that Sami loved his son. "You're wrong. Sami loves one man and that's Lucas," Marlena replied. She once again asked for Sami's freedom. He said he would in exchange for his Queen of the Night. "I loved you, Marlena. Wanted you," he reminded her. She warned him that he put darkness in her soul and went it comes out, it will come out with a vengeance.

The new Mr. and Mrs. Shawn Brady arrived at the reception. Doug told the crowd that Grandpa Shawn was doing better. He then made a Thanksgiving toast and welcomed Belle to the family. The bride and groom danced to their old high school song, "I'll Be." Lucas asked Sami to dance. Belle threw the bouquet to the lone single girl there — Chelsea, who caught it and kissed Nick. Hope went upstairs to talk to Bo, who was still at the hospital. She hung up and spied Belle's phone. She saw there was a message and listened to it. It was from Philip, who said, "You cannot marry Shawn because I'm the one you're in love with. I knew it in Tulsa and I knew it the night we made love at the Pub. And most of all, I knew it when I held you in my arms at Titan last night. You can't let me go and you never will."
