DAYS Week of July 26, 2010

Monday

Will confronted drunk Chad at the pub. "You can blame me for you mother's death because I do," he said. Chad assured will he had nothing to do about it, pointing out that his mom had a whole secret life. They went to the pier where Madeline died and Chad was determined to find out the truth about his mom and asked to talk to Kate. Will urged him to just let it go.

Hope woke up and saw she missed a call from Carly. Meanwhile, at the hospital, Carly asked Bo point blank if he knows who attacked him. He couldn't recall but assured both Carly and Roman that he's okay. In the waiting room, Maggie sat with Victor. Caroline showed up and was none too happy to see the duo together or the fact that Victor didn't call her about Bo immediately after the attack. Maggie stifled her laughter and then apologized; Caroline stormed out in a huff. "It's amusing to me that at this age, two different women think I'm the other woman!" Maggie chuckled and urged Victor to go after Caroline, which he did. Caroline was clearly rattled by what had happened and clutched Victor for support. Meanwhile, Justin broke the news to a shocked Daytime Hope that Bo was attacked and is in the hospital so she headed over to question him. Carly hugged Bo and said she can't wait to find out who did this to him, just as Hope entered the room. Abe was also on hand for the investigation. A concerned Lexie showed up with Theo in tow, who said, "Aunt Hope has treasure." Abe's ears perked up at the awkward statement. Lexie asked her son to show her the treasure when he sees it next.

Hope took down notes as Bo tried to recount what happened. He said he doesn't remember anything before he passed out. Carly returned with his tox screen and said he's lucky to be alive due to all the combinations of meds in his system. Hope wondered how it could've gotten into his system. Bo flashed to a cup of coffee. Carly and Hope went to the nurses station, where Carly asked Hope where she was last night and said she just wants to get the timeline straight. Hope also learned that there were no fingerprints left behind. Justin arrived and suggested there could be two people involved. Hope fretted to Bo that she fears the worst of the attacks aren't over but she was hopeful that they'd get through it together. Carly walked in on the duo holding hands and discussing how they'll always be together.

Nathan told Melanie that he's moving in with Stephanie. She feigned happiness and they shared an awkward moment. Philip arrived and Mel was excited to see what surprise he had for her. It was a fancy picnic spread. Mel was giddy. "I love being rich!" she trilled. Then Phil handed over her nursing school grades, adding that he pulled some strings to get them early for her. She was excited to have aced all her courses and was hopeful about having kids, which made Phil wince. After the meal, he gave her a gorgeous necklace and let her know that she's the greatest thing to ever happen to him. They hugged and he flashed back to telling Chloe that he wouldn't runaway if Mel ever found out about their affair.

Adrienne paid Steph a visit and let he know how upset her dad is about Steph moving in with Nathan and threatened to return to Salem to watch over her. Steph was miffed Adrienne assured her niece that she talked him out of it; Steph was elated and bonded with Adrienne about being happy. Adrienne stopped talking about her past with Justin but Steph pointed out how happy they used to be together and urged her aunt to accept that she still deserves it. Adrienne was touched and said Justin thinks she's just jealous of Hope.

Stefano confronted Kate and asked if there's something about Madeline he should know about. She thought about it for a second but didn't say anything. She claimed she just thinks she missed something in the safety deposit box. Stefano left, leaving Kate to muse: "The evil that men do lives after them ... literally." Later, Kate saw DA Woods at the bar, where she gave her condolences about Madeline and wondered if there was anything she and Stefano can do. He made sure Kate knew that he went to Madeline's safety deposit box for her will and found that it was empty. She played dumb and left. Later, Katie surmised that Madeline had burned Chad's real birth certificate, making her copy which shows Chad's real paternity the only one left. "What did you just say?" asked a lurking Stefano. Kate covered but told him about the empty safety deposit box. Stefano was pleased and teased Kate about taking to herself. Her cell rang; it was Lucas.

At Stephanie's, Nathan brought his boxes over. When he went out to get more, Steph spied an old photo of him with Mel. Meanwhile, Phil and Mel stopped by the pub, where they ran into Adrienne who spilled that Phil was over at Daniel's before. "What were you doing at my dad's house?" Mel asked. He fumbled for an answer and said it was when Chloe was in the hospital. She wondered why he didn't tell her about it before.... At the lake, Theo found a wallet and connected it to Hope's treasure.

Tuesday

Melanie and Philip were in he middle of a steamy make-out session at home when a frantic Chloe arrived and asked if Mel had heard from Daniel because she can't locate him. Mel assured Chloe that things will work out and departed to leave Phil to talk things over with Chloe, who stressed about keeping their secret and Carly possibly blowing the whole thing wide open before she even finds out who the father of her baby really is. Meanwhile, at the hospital, Carly thanked Daniel for getting to Bo in time and asked why he had stopped to by to see her the night before in the first place. "It's over; it's all gone to hell with Chloe," he sighed. Carly's response piqued Daniel's curiosity and he urged her to tell him what she knows about why Chloe would postpone the wedding.

At the SPD, Rafe looked at page of code he got from Nicole's motel room and was determined to find out what it means and how it all ties to EJ. Arianna arrived and quickly found out that Rafe's investigating EJ, which caused the sibs to bicker. Rafe explained that he might have finally the proof he needs to show her what kind of a guy EJ really is. Ari defended EJ and chalked his behavior up to being a complicated guy who is desperately trying to better himself. Meanwhile, Nic was at home fondling the same page from the book of evidence she has on EJ and smiled at how she was the only one who has it. Brady arrived and Nicole freaked when he reached for the book. She claimed it was her diary and private property, which made Brady want to get his mitts on it that much more. Nic was tense and tried to change the subject by thanking him for being a great friend. Brady was eager to help her find a new place but she was insistent on staying there, adding that things will be better soon. "I can feel it," she smiled.

At the DiMera manse, Stefano caught Kate reading Madeline's obituary and called her out for obsessing over things. Kate explained she's just worried about Chad but Stefano reminded her that Madeline's death was good for them. "She as an absolute threat to us and then poof! No more threat!" he smiled. He urged her to not give Chad another thought. "I'm not responsible for that
boy and neither are you. I have no compassion for him." Kate answered her phone; it was Chad, who wanted to talk to her in person. Later, Chad met with Kate and thanked her for her kindness in the wake of his mother's death and admitted he's still blaming himself for what happened and won't be able to move on until he understands more about her past and hopes that Kate can shed some light on it her being a prostitute and Kate's own connection. "Is it true?" he asked. Kate said it's best to honor his mom by letting it go and simply knowing that he loved her.

Mel stopped by the hospital to see Bo and check on Carly. They shared a nice emotional moment as Mel said she just wants her mom to be happy. They tearfully hugged.

Chloe came home to find Daniel. She called him a hero for saving Bo's life but he brushed it off. Chloe reminded him of how much she loves him and tried to explain why she postponed their nups."You're not going to like it," she said and took a deep breath. She told him that she's freaking out about her pregnancy and about all the things that can go wrong. Daniel tried to take the blame for being so insecure and insensitive toward her when she asked to postpone the wedding. They talked things over. "I want us to be a family," Chloe said. "So can we please just wait one month?" Daniel conceded and urged her to tell her the truth about everything she's feeling from now on. They apologized to each other for the missed communication and made up.

Will was surprised and delighted when Stefano offered him an internship at DiMera Enterprises. Will fretted about his mom's reaction; Stefano advised him that keeping it a secret might not be a bad idea. "We all have our secrets right?" he chuckled. Later, Stefano came home and was stunned to see Chad there. Kate fibbed that the teen had stopped by to see Will and promptly left. After, Stefano called her bluff "He doesn't IM or text him to track him down like they do these days?" he asked and reminded Kate to steer clear of Chad. "We have to make him go away. Understood?" he added.

Daniel went to visit Mel for their father/daughter date. He gave her a nice pair of earrings for passing her nurses exam. She was worried about what's going on with Chloe but he promised her everything is back on track and fine. They caught up and Daniel got a call from the hospital. After, he asked Mel if she wants to join him while he performs an skin graft tomorrow at St. Mary's. "Are you serious? That'd be so cool! Yeah!" Mel squealed. Meanwhile, Carly paid Chloe a visit. Chloe was upset at herself for lying again to Daniel and admitted she doesn't know how long she can go on like this. "You don't have to," Carly said and arranged for an early paternity test at (wait for it) St. Mary's tomorrow. Philip went to go think things over and thought about Mel's reaction if and when she learns the truth.

Nic made a call to EJ. "We need to discuss our deal and when you're going to deliver," she said as she clutched her book. Meanwhile, Rafe continued to research the code and was excited when he found what he's looking for. "Oh, Nicole. You are so busted!" he grinned.

Wednesday

Carly berated Bo when he decided to check himself out of the hospital. She refused to let him leave; he reasoned that he's going nuts and just wants to find his assailant. Meanwhile, at the SPD, Hope was freaking out about what happened as Justin consoled her as she tearfully considered what Ciara would do if she lost her father. Hope was desperate to find out who would want to hurt Bo; Just was happy to let her cry on his shoulder but Hope felt awkward. A confused Justin brought up the kiss, but Hope had no idea what he was talking about. When he tried to explain, she stopped him and made it clear that she's not ready to move on from Bo.

Bo was released and came home, much to Carly's dismay. He was determined to investigate his own attack and suddenly had a flash from that night, adding that his head hurts like it did the night of the crime. Carly advised him to go lie down on the couch and performed some relaxation techniques on him to help him remember. Hope entered was invited to stay as Carly proceeded with the techniques and asked Bo to go back to a place that makes him happy. Hypnotized, Bo said he saw blue, flashed back to being with Hope on their yacht and sais that all of his pain was gone. Carly then pushed him to recall the events of the night before. Hope held her breath in anticipation.

Nicole called EJ to demand cash for her silence. He wasn't amused and refused to be her "butler," then threatened to kill her. EJ was so incensed that he agreed to pay her off once, reiterating his death threat if the tapes were exposed. On her way out, Nicole was affected when she heard a baby cry. "I hear her as Sydney," she said tearfully and admitted that she still misses the child. EJ was sympathetic for a moment, then kicked her out. Rafe, meanwhile, quickly figured out that the code represents different bank locations and the Salem bus station. He was pleased to finally be able to nab EJ for some wrongdoing and wondered what Nicole was trying to blackmail him for. Just then, Sami arrived with Johnny to say hi. Rafe told her to get out because he has work to do, work that he's doing for her. Sami was confused and miffed when Rafe gave her the cold shoulder. Rafe reminded her that she's with EJ and as much as she or her kids miss Rafe, she can't have both men in her life. Sami thought he was being stubborn and stormed out.

Baker read the news about Bo and flashed back to Nighttime Hope blaming him for the botched Bo attack. He wondered aloud why he can't get her out of his mind. Later, Baker told Nic he's leaving town and asked for some money but she refused. "Ican still make your life miserable," he said. "Well, chew on this, Dick," she responded, and threatened to have him killed if he didn't lay low.

Maggie warned Brady against another relapse and pointed out all the stress he's been having lately doesn't help‹ especially involving Nicole. She hoped he was smart enough to stay away from her and her schemes this time around. Maggie couldn't believe that Nic had changed that much and was irked when Brady stopped their chat to take a call from Nic who claimed she had great news. After, Maggie called Brady out on not being straight with her and wondered what's up. Then Victor arrived to tell her about Bo. Brady left. Maggie was upset and worried about Brady, then told Victor she's also upset that he'd come over even after she asked him not to before. "You are a married man," she reminded him. "Go home." Meanwhile, Brady ran into Baker at the pier.

Sami returned home with Johnny and shared an awkward parenting moment with EJ after she had little a spat with Johnny. Sami was taken aback when EJ said that she amazes him. "You have a wonderful passion for the people you love," he explained and noted how great she is with the kids. She was put on edge by his words. After realizing that little Johnny had manipulated them both when he said he wanted to see a judge about custody, they shared a laugh and agreed that joint custody isn't what it's cracked up to be. EJ wondered if things might be better if they got married. "What'd you say?" a shocked Sami asked.

Nicole looked at her savings account and was ecstatic when she saw the money that EJ had transferred to her. "I'm rich!" she squealed.... Rafe opened his locker at the SPD and was outraged that it was empty. He surmised Nicole was already one step ahead of him. "I'm going to get you ... and EJ, too," he vowed.

Thursday

Stunned Sami asked EJ to repeat what he said about them being married. "Haven't you thought about that ever?" he asked. She was taken aback and admitted that she hasn't considered it, pointing out that they've been down that road before. "We'd be better off laying down on train tracks and waiting to see what happened," she cracked, then asked him point-blank if he's proposing to her. "If I ask you to marry me, you will know," he grinned. Sami was rattled and overcome with emotion when EJ got up, held her hand and reenacted what he would do and say if and when he really does propose. Sami was confused about whether EJ had really just proposed or not. He claimed he hadn't, but was obviously disappointed that she didn't get the hint. Sami was relieved and said they're not ready. EJ wouldn't let it go and wondered why they can't just follow their hearts. Sami stopped him. Then they shared an awkward moment and she quickly excused herself.

Nicole called the bank to find out how soon she can start withdrawing the cool $5 million EJ gave her. "Now I can move out of this dump and live like a lady should live!" she grinned. Meanwhile, Brady spotted Baker on the pier. He fled so Brady followed. Brady ran into Nicole on the way and told her that he tried to chase Baker but lost him. Nicole was clearly frazzled. He was insistent that Baker pay for what he'd done and explained that's why he called the cops. Nic panicked and worried about what Baker might do to retaliate if he got caught. Brady assured her he has no leverage against her. Then, Nic was overcome with dread when Baker called her to say there's a problem and said laying low is easier said than done. Nic covered about the call to Brady and claimed it was an issue at the station she had to tend to. She hurried off; he was dubious and followed her to the pier, where he called her out for lying and pointed out how uncomfortable she got with the mention of Baker. She said she hopes he just leaves town forever; Brady preferred he get nabbed by the cops instead. And with that, Nic ran off again.

Carly continued to probe hypnotized Bo's memory. He admitted that he does remember the events of the attack then suddenly opened his eyes and stared right at Hope and said he remembers smelling gasoline. Carly asked him to recall what he did after he left Victor's that night and wondered if he had anything to eat or drink. When he replied yes, Hope suddenly yelled for them to stop, She was clearly spooked and asked Carly to stop the technique, claiming it was causing too much stress on Bo. Caroline showed up and was still angry about the night before. She asked Bo, who looked traumatized, if he's okay. He quickly snapped out of it; Hope excused herself and asked Carly not to perform any more sessions unless Hope is present. After, Bo was eager to get back to work. Carly fretted about his safety but he wasn't deterred and rushed off.

At the Kiriakis manse, Vivian rushed in to ask what happened to Bo. Victor suspected that she was responsible for the attack. Vivian said if she did do it, she'd be far more professional about it. "Whoever did attack Bo was clumsy," she snorted. Then she brought up their marriage vows and her devotion to him as the reason why she'd never do such a thing. "Oh bull feathers!" Victor grumbled. "You haven't spoken the truth since Jimmy Carter was in office." Miffed, Vivian threw Maggie's rejection in his face, which only upset Victor more. He reminded them of their business relationship and stormed out. Vivian wondered aloud if Victor might love her if he knew she had his and Bo's best interests in mind.

Sami was down in the dumps after her encounter with EJ, so she went to the pub and sidled up to the bar, where Caroline could tell that something was eating her. She joked that EJ must have asked her to marry him; Sami shot her a look of dread and tearfully explained that he did, but she's in love with Rafe, which is why this is such a big deal. Caroline advised Sami to forget about the proposal, then. Sami reasoned that she will never have a future with Rafe and that EJ is great with the kids, adding that they do have a connection and that she believes things will be different this time around. "Then marry him!" Caroline shrugged. Sami was still troubled. Meanwhile, EJ informed Stefano that Sami has agreed to live at the mansion permanently, although they disagreed about why. Then he told Stefano he intends to marry Sami. Stefano was outraged and refused to condone it.

Baker phoned Hope and said they really need to talk. He explained that he's been spotted and it may be problematic. After, Carly stopped by to say it's evident that Hope still cares about Bo and asked for her help in getting to the root of what happened to him. They bickered, especially after Carly brought up the way Hope treated her at the pub the other day. Hope, of course, had no recollection and insisted she just wants to find out who hurt Bo. "She's standing right in front of you," sneered Vivian, who'd arrived on the sly. Bo, meanwhile, headed to the SPD. Abe told Bo that he's taking Theo to a baseball game. Bo pulled out his wallet and tried to find an old World Series ticket stub to show Theo, who brought up Ciara's treasures again. Bo made the wallet connection and got the boy to say that the treasures belong to Hope.

Friday

Sami was shocked when Caroline seemed to support her marrying EJ. Caroline just supported Sami doing what she wants and didn't want to discuss it further! Sami felt slighted, and Caroline pointed out they always "go in circles" about the DiMeras. "Why do you need my seal of approval?" she groused. "Because, Grandma, I'm confused!" Sami confessed. Caroline told her to un-confuse herself so they could some day move on to other topics. Elsewhere, Rafe kept digging into Nicole and EJ's big secret, while Nicole reveled over a CD copy of EJ's incriminating conversation. Then, a worried Fay called her wayward daughter and Nicole made excuses and hung up. At his place, Baker was all jumpy about his and Nicole's schemes ... and Hope, too. After her chat with Caroline, Sami promptly ran into Rafe. Sami accepted Rafe's offer of coffee and was about to tell him about her developments with EJ when he got a call from work. Sami got all bent out of shape, and Rafe was very confused. "Your business calls are more important than anything else!" she huffed. Naturally, Rafe got another work call, and they parted on a sour note. Out on the pier, Nicole and EJ traded barbs and she blackmailed him into loaning her his thug, Marco. At Nicole's place, she told Marco to pay someone a visit and handed him a photo of Dr. Baker! Speaking of paying visits, Rafe dropped by Fay's to question her about Nicole. As for Sami, she walked out onto the pier and found EJ wearing a silly fishing hat and fishing! She cracked up, and he handed her a pole. His a-dork-ableness baffled her ... but things quickly became clear when she "caught" a ring and he sank to one knee to propose properly. "I love you, I've always loved you," he declared. "Will you marry me?"

At the police station, Bo questioned Theo and grew worried about Hope. Abe and Bo discussed Theo's wallet revelation and Bo decided to talk to Ciara. At the Kiriakis mansion, Carly was frustrated by Hope's inability to
remember her odd behavior. Vivian walked up, offering her snarky .02 cents and Carly and Hope both told her to go away. Alone, Carly noted that Vivian's spewing had clearly gotten to Hope, and they had a heart to heart about how much Bo had hurt her. Out at the park, Ciara, wounded by how Bo didn't believe her in the past, refused to talk about Hope's treasures. Bo apologized, hugging and kissing her, and eventually got her to open up about her mom's behavior. Back at Victor's, Carly talked about what had led her to kill Lawrence. "I was desperate," she explained. Hope, overwhelmed by the week's events, assured Carly she doesn't have to worry about her and wanted to get some sleep. Alone in her bedroom, Hope popped a pill, realizing she needed to refill her prescription. Back in the park, Bo asked Ciara who all the wallets belonged to. "Uncle Roman, Uncle Justin ... Uncle Abe," she rattled off. Bo was stunned. Meanwhile, at the pub, Carly warned Vivian not to involve Hope in her feud against Carly and told her to start treating Hope with "kid gloves" or Bo would have Victor kick her out. Of course, Carly's defensiveness only piqued Vivian's curiosity! Back in Hope's room, she awoke in Nighttime Hope mode, rarin' to go!
