On the boat, Hope had a nightmare that Jane shot and killed Bo. She woke up in a panic. Bo comforted her. He then revealed that he was able to break into the Department of Corrections e-mail and read some of Jane's e-mails. He added that Jane was going to a secret meeting later — and he planned to be there. She wanted to go with him but he pointed out that if they got caught, they would surely be killed. She understood, but wasn't happy. "Don't do anything stupid," she warned. "Be careful." She then said that the past few days had been better because he was with her and thanked him for everything he did. They hugged.

Jennifer called the warden and asked if she could come in to do some filing. The warden said no, explaining she'd be out of the office most of the day. Jen entered the Pub and ran into Will. She sat down with her nephew, who became distracted by Gabi's appearance outside with a kid named Cory. The teens came inside; Jen excused herself. Outside, she ran right into Ben. They went in and sat down. During their chat, he got a sudden call and had to go. He returned and apologized for taking off so quickly. "False alarm," he explained. His phone rang again; she recognized the prefix for the prison.

Bo went to the meeting in the woods and hid, but was caught and knocked out by one of the warden's henchmen. They tied him up and blindfolded him. Unbeknownst to Bo, Stefano was the mastermind behind the operation.

Cory got a text and split. Gabi sat with Will and could tell he seemed bothered by something. She asked if he was jealous of Cory. He insisted he wasn't. They took a walk on the pier, where they kissed.

At the hearing, Lexie grilled Daniel about Carly's role in the DNA test. She asked if Daniel knew how Carly obtained his DNA. Though Daniel remembered exactly how Carly got it, he lied that he didn't. Kayla jumped up and demanded to know why Daniel was protecting Carly. Lexie advised Kayla to sit down but Kayla couldn't keep quiet and pointed out all the things Carly had done to harm the Brady family. Lexie pointed out that the hearing was just to determine if Carly got to keep her medical license, not judge her personally. Kayla lamented that she used to admire Carly and now wished she didn't come back to town. Carly apologized for everything that had happened; Lexie said the case was closed, since there was no evidence to incriminate Carly. Kayla lit into Carly; Carly then thanked Daniel for what he did.

Nathan talked to Melanie on the pier and implored her to tell him what was wrong with her. She got woozy and he caught her before she fell. She played it off that she hadn't eaten. He talked about a future for them, but she said they couldn't have one. "Go to Baltimore," she urged. "Forget about me." During their chat, Nathan got a text that Carly didn't lose her license and filled in Melanie. She was confused and took off. She returned to Maggie's and consulted family planning options on the Internet.

At the hospital, Dr. Kim told EJ and Nicole that the cancer had spread to Johnny's other eye. EJ was stunned and lashed out at the doc. "You told me everything was fine!" he exclaimed and grabbed Dr. Kim. Nicole pulled him off. Dr. K told EJ he needed to perform further tests, then said that Johnny was asking for Sami. Nicole wanted to call her, but EJ said no. Nicole appealed to him, so they went to the loft, where Sami greeted them sarcastically. EJ told her to knock it off, then revealed that Johnny was in the hospital having more tests. They all rushed to the hospital, and talked with Lexie, Carly, Daniel and Dr. Kim. Lexie explained that Carly was going to do a laser technique that has proven successful to save Johnny's other eye. Sami was distraught that her son needed more surgery. Rafe took her in his arms while EJ seethed.
