Monday

At the cop shop, Abe was on the phone demanding an update on John's plane, while Stephanie, Max and Chelsea fretted over their missing loved ones. Roman walked in and announced his FAA contact told him John's plane was no longer on the radar screens. It had fallen out of range and was last detected near Greenland. Chelsea wondered if Stefano could be behind this, but Lexie assured he was still in a coma. Max went off about EJ possibly taking over where Stefano left off torturing the Bradys. He called Lexie's whole family "evil," then headed out for some air. Later, Max returned and apologized for ranting at Lexie. He explained how much his adopted parents, Grandpa Shawn and Caroline, meant to him. Lexie assured they'd find Max's parents and everyone else and bring them home safely. Chelsea recalled the last time she had seen Bo and how he was disappointed in her. Max comforted Stephanie, who feared something terrible was happening and she might lose her parents. Soon, a somber Abe emerged and delivered more bad news: The FAA concluded John's plane had gone down.

At the crash site, John came to and walked around with a flashlight, surveying the situation. Shawn, Belle and Claire stirred and all were perfectly fine. Shawn went to check on his parents. Belle wanted to check on the others, too, so she asked John to watch Claire. John wasn't up for babysitting but couldn't resist the little munchkin, who asked for some juice. Belle found Chloe and Philip, who were fine. Then she headed for Marlena, who assured Belle she was okay and urged her to help the others. Shawn found Hope and Bo, who was unconscious, but had a pulse. Kayla awoke crying and told Shawn her Pop was dead; he gave up his oxygen and his life to save the rest of them. Kayla approached John, who was bonding with Claire. She drank juice, while John guzzled little bottles of alcohol. Kayla asked about Steve. John said he was out there, somewhere. Alone, Philip told Chloe there might be a problem: His prosthetic leg was stuck under the wreckage. Chloe tried to lift the debris, to no avail. Philip realized he'd have to detach his leg to help Chloe lift the wreckage.

John found Marlena, who reported she had dislocated her shoulder and was in serious pain. She'd need his help to put it back in place. John obliged, as Marlena tried to hang tough. Kayla found an unconscious Steve and implored him to live, as she and their baby needed him. Finally, Steve awoke, noting his chest hurt and that he'd heard a rumor he made her pregnant. Kayla confirmed it was true. When Steve began having trouble breathing, Kayla feared he had a punctured lung. Meanwhile, John, who was still saddled with Claire, fired off a flare when the tyke told him she wanted to go home. Shawn tried to revive Bo. Hope confided that Bo was very sick. He'd told her before the plane went down. Suddenly, Shawn and Hope realized Bo wasn't breathing and tried to resuscitate him. Marlena happened upon them and sprung into action, rushing to the plane, grabbing the defibrillator, and carrying it back to Bo. After a few jolts, Bo miraculously was back. However, Kayla wasn't faring so well. She felt a cramp and grimaced in pain, "Oh, God! I think it's the baby."

Tuesday

"John's plane crashed?" asked Chelsea at the Salem cop shop. Abe confirmed that seemed to be the case, as Stephanie, Max and Chelsea fretted over their missing families. Roman delivered another FAA
update: search planes were out, but they probably wouldn't turn up anything until the morning. Abe assured Lexie and Roman that everyone would be fine. Bo, Hope and John were all trained to survive in these kinds of situations. Roman, however, was worried about John. A worried Caroline arrived, and Roman and Max noted that Grandpa Shawn was probably protecting everyone. Victor and Kate arrived next, and Abe filled them in on the latest. Kate was frantic about Philip. Maggie showed up to offer Caroline support just in the nick of time, as Roman delivered bad news: the rescue planes were being pulled back until morning. Caroline suggested they all pray, so everyone headed to church.

At the crash site, Marlena brought Bo back from the brink of death. Hope explained to him that their plane had crashed. Then she broke the news that Bo's father was dead. Bo cried out for his Pop, while Steve cried out for help. Chloe arrived, and Kayla asked her to fetch Marlena. John fired off another flare as Claire watched. Belle suggested there might be something in the plane to use as shelter. Philip, Shawn and John dragged the injured Steve back to the fuselage, where it was warmer. After Marlena examined Steve and concurred with Kayla's punctured lung diagnosis, Kayla went to check on Bo. Shawn cried over his grandpa's death, and Belle comforted him. The tragedy brought the couple closer, as they admitted loving each other more than ever.

Chloe and Philip settled into the pop-up tent they found on the plane. She worried about the missing Brady. Philip promised they would find him. Hope checked on Shawn and Belle, taking Claire back to her tent with Bo. Marlena suggested John bunk with her. "You want me to protect you from the lions, tigers, and polar bears?" asked John. "I was thinking hypothermia," countered Marlena. John agreed to help keep her warm. Marlena checked on Bo and told Hope not to worry; he'd make it through the night. Then she checked on Steve and Kayla, who cuddled up and vowed to get through this and make it home for Steph and their new baby. Shawn and Belle continued their love fest, agreeing that they should try to make their marriage work. Bo awakened, and Hope urged him to go back to sleep. Bo reminisced about his Pop. Then he and Hope talked about his illness and vowed to always be there for each other.

Things heated up inside a few of the tents. John snuggled up to Marlena, who felt awkwardly uncomfortable next to him. When Marlena winced, John wondered if it was her shoulder and asked if he could have a look at it. Marlena began to unbutton her blouse and one thing led to another as they started to kiss. Chloe and Philip snuggled up, too, although Chloe realized he'd rather be with Belle. "She's chosen Shawn, and I accept that," noted Philip, pulling Chloe close. When Chloe continued to shiver, Philip realized they had to take off their clothes to really get the full effect of each other's body heat. Chloe agreed and they undressed. Things got steamy between the naked duo. Belle told Shawn that despite their circumstances she believed they had a lot to be grateful for and wanted them to be a family again. Shawn admitted he wanted the same thing, and the couple began to make love.

Wednesday

At the police station, Roman assured Victor and Caroline that the people in charge of the search for John's plane were on top of it. Victor wanted to get his own search team into the act. Max and Stephanie were eager to help too, but Roman begged everyone to wait 12 hours. If they hadn't heard something by then, Roman would be right by their side. He urged Caroline and company to head back to church, where Chelsea and Kate remained behind and talked. Chelsea blamed herself for the plane crash. Death followed her around like a shadow, she said. Nick assured her she had nothing to do with this, while Kate urged her granddaughter not to jump to conclusions. Max arrived at St.
Luke's, where Stephanie lamented everything she'd put her parents through. Chelsea lamented, too, about not remembering the last time she told Bo she loved him. Nick and Max tried to cheer up the girls. Back at the cop shop, Roman and Abe fielded calls about the crash, while Victor and Caroline offered each other encouragement that Bo would be fine. Caroline admitted she was touched by the tender side she'd seen of Victor of late. Victor went on about the fine job Grandpa Shawn had done raising Bo and promised to thank him when they all got back.

Steve and Kayla rested inside the fuselage as he consoled her about her father's death. Marlena awoke beside John and wondered if she'd been dreaming. "The rough landing or the kiss?" asked John, who assured her the smooch was the real deal. Marlena asked if John remembered kissing her before. He suggested another kiss to jog his memory. Marlena promised to do anything to help John get his memory back. Shawn and Belle ooh-ed and ahh-ed about their hot night together, while Philip and Chloe admitted they'd been tempted to go all the way, but hadn't. The pair decided to get dressed and keep mum about their naked bunking. "What happens in Greenland stays in Greenland," cracked Chloe. Belle apologized to Shawn about her past indiscretions with Philip, and he forgave her. "We're meant to be a family: you, me and Claire," said Shawn. Marlena was hoping for a similar reconciliation with John, who was all too eager for another romp in the tent. "I want your mind, too," noted Marlena. John could only offer his body at this point, and started nuzzling Marlena's neck.

Hope urged Bo to fight to get well for their family, while Kayla fretted about her mother, knowing she'd be devastated to lose her Pop. Marlena was on the cusp of devastation herself when John admitted he didn't remember her or their love, but sure did enjoy their sexcapades. Marlena vowed no more sex until John recalled who she was. Then she got dressed, saying he had patients to see. Belle and Shawn continued to cuddle and talked about reconciling while exchanging "I love you"s.
Marlena checked on Bo, as Hope continued begging him to be strong. Marlena said they just had to hang on until help arrived. Shawn and Belle popped in to check on Bo. Hope admitted she hadn't gotten any sleep; she was too worried about Bo. Marlena went outside and was shocked to see Steve walking around. She told him he needed to keep still. Marlena asked how Kayla was feeling. Kayla confided she was cramping and spotting. Shawn asked about Bo's condition. Marlena admitted Bo wasn't doing well. Steve encouraged everyone not to worry. They would be rescued. John approached and asked about Bo. Marlena said they needed to get him to a hospital. John said he'd send up another flare. Suddenly, John heard a helicopter approach and fired the flare.

Back in Salem, Abe announced that the wreckage from John's plane had been spotted and that someone had set off a flare. Chelsea got a call from Kate with the happy news and shared it with Nick, Max and Steph.

The smiles in Salem were matched by the smiles of the survivors in Greenland, who were hooting and hollering as the rescue helicopter approached.

Thursday

Caroline, Victor, Roman and company waited at the hospital for the crash survivors. Shawn, Belle and Claire arrived alive and well, much to Caroline's delight. Shawn told Roman the crash wasn't an accident. The pilots' water had been drugged and the plane's controls had been tampered with. Philip hobbled in, noting he'd broken his prosthetic leg, and Victor and Kate embraced him. Chloe got the cold shoulder. Shawn was about to break the news about his grandfather's death to Caroline, when Marlena arrived. Sami ran over to her mother, who explained how John and Steve landed the plane, saving everyone. Then, Marlena told Caroline, "I'm so sorry." Steve and Kayla arrived and Stephanie ran to them. Lexie insisted the pair get checked out. Before heading to their cubicles, Kayla told Caroline, "I'm so sorry."
Caroline wondered why people kept saying that, when Bo was wheeled in on a gurney. "What's wrong with Bo?" wailed Caroline, as a concerned Roman and Chelsea looked on. Hope said Bo was sick. Lexie explained they weren't sure what it was, but would run more tests. Shawn and Marlena tried to break the news of Grandpa Shawn's death to Caroline, but she said she didn't want to hear anything until her husband arrived. Suddenly, a gurney was wheeled in and Roman, Sami and Caroline realized the awful truth. "Oh, no!" cried Caroline. Shawn and Belle explained how Grandpa Shawn had died, giving up his oxygen to save Bo.

A nurse finished bandaging Steve, who listened as Kayla asked her doctor if she was going to lose the baby. Lexie told Bo he was in for a long stay and many tests. Bo admitted he was feeling nauseated and achy and his lower back hurt. It reminded him of Isabella dying of pancreatic cancer. Lexie suggested not jumping to conclusions. Steph caught Steve heading to Kayla's cubicle. Steve said he was worried Kayla might lose the baby. Steph cried upon learning her mom was pregnant and might have died. Victor and Maggie tried to console Caroline, who couldn't believe her husband was gone. Marlena asked John to offer a few words of comfort to Caroline, and he obliged. Caroline walked over to Grandpa Shawn's gurney, kissed him, said goodbye, and left.

Back in Bo's room, he and Hope told Chelsea about his mystery illness.
Meanwhile, in Kayla's cubicle, she and Steph bonded over the baby on the way. Marlena and Sami talked about Grandpa Shawn's passing. Marlena thought Stefano might have sabotaged the plane. EJ promised to find out. Victor confronted Chloe about what she knew about Brady's disappearance, but hadn't told them. Chloe insisted she revealed all she knew and left, as Philip followed.

Max and Roman decided to head to the pub. Abe promised to call if he heard anything. Lexie told John it was time for him to get examined, but he resisted. Finally, he agreed if Marlena did the examining. Bo continued telling Chelsea about his illness, when Victor came in and said how sorry he was about Grandpa Shawn's death. Steve stopped by to see Kayla. Steph told Kayla that she and Steve decided she wasn't getting out of bed for the next eight months. Philip said goodbye to reconciled lovebirds Shawn and Belle, who were heading home. Then, he asked Chloe to come home with him. John and Marlena emerged from the examining room and were greeted by Sami, while EJ left to fetch the car. Marlena noticed how well Sami and EJ were getting long. Sami offered Marlena and John a ride. Marlena thought John would go home with her. John said he wanted to go to the DiMera mansion; he had every right to live there. Sami was confused. Marlena promised to explain later. Back in Bo's room, Lexie came to fetch him for his battery of tests. Hope, Chelsea and Victor watched as Bo got wheeled off.

Friday

At the hospital, Lexie examined Kayla and instructed her to rest, while Roman visited Steve and questioned him about the plane crash. Steve said it was sabotage. Roman doubted Stefano was behind it. Steve flashed back to the woman he saw in Ireland before takeoff. The same woman wandered through the hospital, asking where Steve's room was.
Roman told Steve to call him if he remembered anything. Alone, Steve
realized the woman was after him and freaked. A nurse ran in and sedated Steve. As she left, an orderly approached and mentioned the news that Dr. Kayla Johnson is pregnant. The mystery woman took it all in. Later, Steve woke up and an orderly brought him a note. Steve read it and freaked. The camera zoomed in on the message, "That bitch will never have your baby!" Steve tried to get out of bed, but fell. Kayla
found him. Steve tried to warn her about the note, but drifted off.

Tony knocked on Anna's door and announced he needed her to come with
him, pronto. It was a matter of life and death. Tony filled Anna in on Stefano's condition and noted that Marlena wanted him to stop by the mansion. Tony feared Stefano had recovered and might be angry. Anna wasn't interested in holding Tony's hand, until he said he wanted an
excuse to spend time with her. Anna melted and agreed to accompany him.

Sami and EJ headed to the DiMera mansion per Marlena's request. Sami went on about the plane crash, her grandfather's death, and Bo's illness. It felt like her family was still under attack by the DiMeras. EJ said he was hoping for news of his father's recovery. Sami doubted
John would move into the mansion, if Stefano was recovering. "Unless he
was still under my father's control," noted EJ.

John walked around the mansion with Marlena, marveling at how big it
is. Marlena said it was bought with blood money. "Blood money well spent," said John, who checked out Stefano's bank records to see how much he was worth. Marlena was appalled. Soon, Anna, Tony, EJ and Sami arrived and were shocked to see John sitting in Stefano's chair listening to opera. Marlena explained the saga of Colleen — how she'd faked her death and had Santo's son: John. Lexie arrived in the middle of the reveal. John said he wanted to call Stefano's lawyers to look
into the estate. He figured he'd get control of everything. While the
DiMera gang talked to Marlena about John's plans, Sami told John her mom wasn't interested in material things. John said he liked himself as is and asked Anna if she liked him. Anna did. Sami stomped on Anna's foot. Anna sat on the couch, and John rubbed her aching tootsie. Tony walked in and asked what was going on. After everyone left, Marlena asked John if he was coming home. "I am home," retorted John, adding
that Marlena could stay if she liked. Marlena declined, but said she wasn't giving up on him.

Later, Tony scolded Anna for flirting with Marlena's brain-damaged hubby. Not that he didn't understand why John was so taken with such "an enchanting and magnificent creature." Tony and Anna kissed, and he wanted to stay the night. Anna said no. She was starting a new job tomorrow. The pair went back and forth about working for competing ad agencies. Tony told Anna that he loved her and she didn't have to prove anything. Anna said she wanted Tony's love and respect. Tony insisted she had both. He left. Sami and EJ bickered, too, albeit about the
Bradys and the DiMeras. Sami was worried about Marlena, who was now married to a very different John, and feared he could hurt her. EJ tried to draw a correlation between their relationship and his and
Sami's. Sami insisted they didn't compare. Besides, they were getting
an annulment.

Back at the mansion, John stood in front of a painting of Stefano, raised his glass, and thanked his big brother for setting him up in such fine accommodations.
