Monday
At the pub, Steve and Kayla oooed and ahhed over Ciara. When Caroline carted the tyke away, Steve expressed second thoughts about him and Kayla having another baby. If there was a chance he could be anything like his father, it wasn't a good idea. Kayla reminded Steve how great he was with Stephanie, Benjy and Pocket. Steve swore if he thought he wouldn't do damage to a kid, he'd want another one. Kayla went on about Steve being nothing like his father. He'd make a great dad. Steve had a change of heart and agreed to make a baby. Kayla beamed. Steve suggested starting now.
Bo and Hope arrived at the gun dealer's warehouse in Cincinnati. Bo banged on the door, while Hope checked out a truck nearby. A woman appeared with a file box full of cards. Bo identified himself as a Salem PD cop who needed to talk about a gun. The woman tossed the box at Bo and ran. Hope returned and inspected the cards. They were gun sale records. Hope said the truck was registered to a man named Lee Elroy. Bo kicked open the door and demanded Elroy come out. The same woman emerged, pointing a gun at Bo and threatening to shoot him. A scuffle ensued and Bo confiscated her gun. The woman admitted she was Elroy's widow, Lindy. Her hubby died and left her with hot guns. She was selling them so her baby didn't starve. Hope and Lindy started going through gun records. Soon, Hope found the card they were looking for. The receipt was signed "Otis Shockly." Bo asked if there was any more information on the transaction. Lindy said she had nothing, until Bo mentioned getting the FBI involved in the case. Then, Lindy mentioned how her husband had set up a camera to photograph anyone who entered or left the shop. Lindy went off to find the photos, while Hope convinced Bo not to turn her in. Lindy returned with a shot of "Otis." Bo was stunned — it was Lucas. Bo showed the photo to Hope, then called Abe and told him Lucas bought two guns. With that, Bo and Hope headed home.
Lucas and Kate discussed Kate's plan to fake an attack on the Bradys, so Sami would think the vendetta wasn't over. Lucas also scolded Kate for letting the gun he gave her fall into the cops' hands. If it was traced back to him, he'd be in trouble. He also was angry that Kate might have been aiming at Sami. Kate swore the gun went off accidentally. Finally, they got back to their fake attack plan. Kate suggested cutting the brake lines on Steve and Kayla's car. Lucas balked. That was attempted murder, he argued, and they could get seriously hurt. Kate said she'd drain their gas tank, too, so that wouldn't happen. Lucas opposed the plan, but Kate wouldn't be deterred, promising it would work out fine. She went off and phoned Kayla, asking her to come to the pub to pick up gifts she had for Sami and Lucas. Later, Kate looked into the pub, saw Steve and Kayla, and snuck off. Steve and Kayla walked outside, when Steve spotted someone crawling out from under their car. After chasing the person to no avail, Steve went under the car and deduced that someone had been tampering with their brakes.
Meanwhile, Kate arrived at Lucas' apartment, announcing she'd gone through with her plan. Lucas was furious. Things got worse when his phone rang. "You promised me that no one would be able to find out," shouted Lucas. Then he hung up and told Kate they were in big trouble.
Tuesday
Shawn and Belle finished getting ready for their high school reunion as Bo and Hope arrived at the pub. After some small talk, Shawn and Belle left. Abe arrived and told Bo he had a warrant to search Lucas' apartment, since they knew he bought illegal guns. Bo noted that forensics might be able to pick up markings on the bullet inside EJ.
Hope and Caroline discussed Shawn and Belle. When Caroline said Shawn had picked the right girl in Belle, Hope couldn't hide her concern.
Outside, Kayla wondered who would tamper with their car's brakes. The vendetta was supposed to be over. Steve calmed her down, recalling another night in a parking lot, years ago. Steve suggested getting into their car and reliving it, thereby getting started on that family. As the couple got hot and heavy, Hope came outside looking for them, opened the car door, and gasped. Hope retreated back to the pub. When Kayla returned, Hope promised she wouldn't spill her secret. Then, she told Kayla about Belle being with Philip the night before her wedding to Shawn. Kayla thought Hope should tell Shawn what was going on. Soon, Steve returned, noting a mechanic confirmed someone had cut their brake lines.
Lucas told Kate they were in deep trouble: The cops traced her gun back to him and knew he bought two guns. Lucas explained that gun #2 wasn't there. He'd sent it to the one person he could trust: himself. Meanwhile, Sami stopped by EJ's to check on him, but she remembered leaving her keys at Alice's, made her excuses, and left. EJ arrived on Lucas' doorstep bearing a package. Lucas took it and slammed the door, but didn't notice it was a baby monitor. Back at his pad, EJ listened as Lucas called to track his package. Soon, Abe and Bo arrived to search for gun #2. Eavesdropping EJ was stunned. Lucas told the cops to knock themselves out, as he and Kate retreated to the hall. Bo realized the gun wasn't there. Lucas was too calm. Sami returned, wondering what the cops were doing there. Lucas explained, so Sami took the twins to EJ's. While Sami changed diapers, EJ listened to Lucas make another call about his package. Lucas recited the tracking number and said he'd pick it up. EJ wrote down the number. The cops finished their search and left, as Abe warned Lucas not to leave town. Kate warned Lucas to fetch gun #2 and get rid of it or he'd be the next person the cops arrested. EJ listened and fantasized about Lucas admitting he shot him and Sami admitting she was pretending to care for EJ. When Sami emerged, EJ said he wasn't sure he could trust her.
The high school reunion got underway as everyone arrived at the festivities. Susan and Penny squealed when Belle confirmed she and Shawn were married. Kevin caught up with Shawn, while Cynthia looked for Philip. Jason spotted Chloe and made a beeline for her, but she rebuffed him. When Cynthia cozied up to Philip, Chloe said he was taken. Alone, Chloe told Philip she'd never forgotten him. "But you married Brady," noted Philip. Chloe said things didn't work out and asked if she and Philip could be friends. Belle interrupted, and Philip left. Chloe asked what was going on between the two of them. Belle feigned ignorance, noting Chloe looked mighty interested in Philip. What would Brady think? Chloe said she and Brady were divorced. Shocked, Belle accused Chloe of hitting on Philip. "At least I didn't string Brady along and meet other men in hotel rooms," countered Chloe, noting Shawn deserved better. Chloe found Shawn and dropped the
bombshell: she caught Belle and Philip at a hotel together. As Mr. Woods announced Shawn and Belle winners of the high school sweethearts award, Shawn approached Belle and asked, "You're sleeping with Philip?"
Wednesday
As Mr. Woods announced Shawn and Belle winners of the high school supercouple award, Shawn asked Belle if she was sleeping with Philip. The duo started to discuss things, when Chloe coaxed them to the stage. "Words can't describe what I'm feeling right now," said Shawn. Belle went on about having a wonderful husband who she loved more than he'd ever know. Finally, the presentation was over, Shawn headed outside and thought back to his fight with Philip at the pub. Soon, Belle showed up to talk. Meanwhile, Chloe told Philip that she filled Shawn in on finding him and Belle in the hotel together. She owed it to him for always being such a good friend. Belle explained that she and Philip planted the gun Shawn found behind the pub. It was her way of making up for the letter she sent to the police academy. Shawn seethed, particularly when Belle explained that in exchange Philip wanted alone time with her. Belle begged Shawn not to tell Bo, but he said he had to. If he played along with this, he'd be indebted to Philip. Belle swore Philip didn't want anything in return and could be arrested if this came out. Shawn didn't care. Philip interrupted, warning Shawn to rethink his decision because Belle would be charged as an accessory, too.
Lucas searched for his keys, anxious to retrieve his gun before the police found it. Billie arrived and noted Bo wanted to question her about where Lucas was the night of EJ's shooting. She planned to tell him the truth: Lucas was at the church. Lucas went on about how he loathed EJ, but swore he didn't shoot him. No matter, Billie refused to lie and left. Across the hall, EJ wondered if he could trust Sami and accused her of knowing who shot him, insinuating it was Lucas. Sami swore she hadn't a clue, but was certain it wasn't Lucas. EJ moved on to the state of their marriage and told Sami she was free to leave if she wanted to. Sami didn't want to. EJ noted that if Sami wanted their marriage to be real, she'd live with him. He went on about Sami decorating his place. She needed time to think about that. She was tired and wanted to take the twins home. "This is your home," retorted EJ.
Sami noted that everything was set up at her and Lucas' apartment. EJ agreed not to pressure her, but he really wanted her in his home and his bed. Lucas arrived at the door and informed Sami the cops were gone. Sami went off to talk to him and asked why Abe and Bo were searching their apartment for a gun. They didn't keep guns there.
Suddenly, Sami realized they had and that the cops suspected Lucas of shooting EJ. Lucas swore he didn't do it, then said he had to go to pick up a business package, pronto. EJ, who was listening via the baby monitor, set a plan in motion to intercept the package, phoning the delivery company and identifying himself as Lucas Horton.
At the pub, Steve explained his brake line had been cut and the car was out of gas. Kayla said she had just filled the tank that morning, which meant that somebody emptied it. Steve's cell rang and it was Lucas fishing for information. Steve told him about the brake problem and that he and Kayla were fine. Then, he hung up to talk to Bo, who thought the DiMeras were up to their old tricks. Hope reminded them that the vendetta was over. As Bo and Steve headed out to inspect the car, Bo asked Hope to call Billie. He wanted to talk to her about where Lucas was the night of the shooting. Bo and Steve found a gasoline sieve and realized this wasn't the work of the DiMeras, but somebody sure wanted them to think so. After the guys shared the latest with their wives, Hope drove Steve and Kayla home. Bo waited behind for Billie. When she arrived, Bo said he knew Lucas was lying about his whereabouts the night EJ was shot.
Thursday
Lucas was anxious to get to the warehouse to pick up his package. Sami was anxious for some action and covered Lucas with kisses. Lucas insisted he had to go and phoned Kate, informing her he was off to the warehouse and would contact her when he got the package. As Lucas left, the cop tailing him followed. Across the hall, EJ phoned the warehouse, pretended to be Lucas, and asked that the package be delivered to his apartment. Later, EJ cradled Ali as he WALKED out of the bedroom. Sami knocked on the door asking why it was locked. Elvis scurried back to his wheelchair and emerged with Ali in his lap. Sami wondered how EJ got Ali out of her crib from a wheelchair. EJ avoided the question. Sami wanted to take the twins home to change and feed them. EJ wanted her to do it there. When Sami balked, EJ went off about Sami being his wife. She should be living with him, since she swore she had feelings for him. Sami explained that she was taking care of twins and juggling two families. It was hard on everyone. Sami insisted she had to get along with Lucas. EJ realized Sami was under a lot of stress and said he understood.
Bo questioned Billie about Lucas' whereabouts the night EJ was shot.
Billie was evasive, admitting that she wanted to protect her brother like Bo protected Roman in the past. Finally, Billie told Bo that as soon as she heard the news that EJ was shot on the radio, she went straight to Lucas' apartment. He told her he'd been to the church and left the twins with a nurse, but swore he didn't shoot EJ. Bo finally let Billie on the news that Lucas had a gun — two of them, in fact. Billie swore she knew nothing about that and left. Hope returned, so Bo filled her in on the latest. Bo and Hope headed to the hospital to check out the nurse's story. The nurse explained she'd sat with the twins for about an hour while Lucas tended to a family emergency.
Belle and Shawn returned home, where they continued arguing. Shawn was certain Philip was trying to ruin him. He insisted Philip had to stay out of their lives and Claire's. Belle swore Philip was only trying to help. No one had to know Shawn finding the gun was a setup. He just couldn't tell Bo. Shawn said he had to or he'd be an accessory, guilty of a cover-up. There was a knock on the door and it was Hope, asking about the reunion. After Belle left to call her mom, Shawn said the bash was a bust because Philip was there, but didn't say much about it. Later, Hope questioned Belle, who admitted meeting Philip the other night. Hope reminded Belle of her promise to stay away from him. Hope left, and Shawn and Belle continued spatting. Shawn gave Belle an ultimatum. She had to choose: it was either him or Philip.
Lucas met Kate at Chez Rouge and was frantic because his package was missing. It had been put on a delivery truck. Kate told him to head home or Sami might open it. Lucas left but quickly returned, noting he was being followed. He asked Kate to slip him her car keys, so he could leave in her car. Then, he took off his coat, said he was going to the men's room, and slipped off. Unfortunately for Lucas the cop tailing him didn't fall for any of it and followed after him. Bo, who got a call about Lucas' shenanigans, headed to Chez Rouge with Hope to confront Kate.
Back in her apartment, Sami was tidying up when she found the bag from EJ with the baby monitor in it. In the hall, the delivery man arrived. EJ intercepted the package and took it into his apartment. Lucas returned home and asked Sami where the package was. She was perplexed.
No package came. Lucas said the warehouse told him it was delivered and signed for. Meanwhile, EJ sat with it on his lap, wondering what was inside.
Friday
Lucas freaked when Sami said no package arrived at their apartment, as EJ listened via the baby monitor. Lucas told Sami the delivery company insisted they delivered it and he signed for it. Meanwhile, a deliveryman knocked on EJ's door and said the package he brought earlier was meant for someone else. EJ swore he gave it to his neighbor. He prepared to open the package when Sandy, his physical therapist, arrived. Across the hall, Lucas continued going off about the package. Sami repeated nothing had arrived, then headed to EJ's to return the things he brought the twins. "You unbelievable bastard," screamed Sami, barging into his apartment. EJ introduced Sami to Sandy, who explained she was about to get EJ on his feet to take a few steps. Sandy realized it might be best if she left. EJ confided Sandy thought there might be a chance he could regain movement in his legs. Sami confronted EJ about the baby monitor and tore the place apart until she found the other half of it. She knew EJ had been spying on her and Lucas and stormed off.
Bo grilled Kate about Lucas. He knew he had two guns and would bet the one that shot EJ was inside the package Lucas was chasing around town. Kate feigned ignorance. Bo didn't buy it. He knew Lucas met her after stopping by the shipping company and threatened to take Kate to the station. Kate said she couldn't help him and had no clue what was in the package. Roman summoned Bo, informing him that the express company claimed the package was delivered to Lucas, but the cop tailing Lucas swore it didn't happen. Bo asked Roman to keep an eye on Kate. Roman obliged and told Kate that Marlena was charged and arraigned for EJ's attempted murder and was out on bail. Kate was annoyed and didn't seem to care. "What do you want from me?" asked Roman. "I want you to treat me the same way you treat Marlena," responded Kate, reminding him there was a time he was more forgiving of her faults. Maybe he needed to remember how sweet that was.
Chloe tried to chat with Philip about their high school years, but he wasn't interested. Chloe realized he was mad she spilled the beans about him and Belle and accused him of having a thing for his ex. Chloe suggested Philip change his focus to her. Hope interrupted and asked for a minute with Philip. She warned him to leave Shawn alone. Philip remembered the good times with his old pal before they fell for the same woman. Hope reminded Philip that Belle made her choice. Philip said he wasn't the one making Belle miserable; it was Shawn. His jealousy was out of control. Philip noted that he and Belle would always be "close;" they were married and shared a child. "Too close," noted Hope. Philip gave Hope permission to tell Shawn everything, and left. Bo asked Hope what went down with Philip. Hope said she realized Philip was going to make trouble for Belle and Shawn. Chloe reconnected with Philip, asking if Shawn and Belle's marriage survived the reunion. Philip called Chloe "a mystery" and didn't understand why she wanted to bust up Shawn and Belle. Chloe insisted she didn't, inching close to Philip and nibbling on his ear.
Hope went to call Marlena and Roman approached Bo, noting he got nothing out of Kate. Bo gave it another try. "Tell me what is in that package," he ordered. Kate's phone rang and it was Lucas, informing her of what went down. "Bo is wondering what's inside that package," she asked, noting Lucas' response was, "What package?" Soon, Bo got a call and smiled. He hung up and told Kate she'd never guess who had the package.
Lucas phoned the air express company, who said Lucas' neighbor signed for the package. Lucas raged, as Sami watched and demanded to know what was inside it. Meanwhile, EJ retrieved the package, opened it, and found the gun!
