Philip entered the living room of the Kiriakis manse and, with a hint of anger in his voice, congratulated Brady on becoming the new CEO of Titan. Brady realized Philip had been fired. Philip added that he had been disowned as well. Philip asked about the blueprints; Brady admitted he was unsuccessful at procuring him. Brady urged Philip to work with him, but Philip refused, declaring he already had plans of his own.

At the Brady Pub, Sami was on the phone with Sister Theresa, telling her she'd pick up Grace shortly. Rafe came in. Sami tried to talk to him, but he said they had nothing left to say to each other. She told him that she was on her way to get Grace. He gave her a non-committal response. Abe came in and caught up with Sami. He noted that Rafe seemed to think a great deal of her, considering what he gave up to stay in Salem. "What did he give up?" Sami queried. Abe told her how Rafe passed up a big position with the NYPD terrorism task force. Rafe walked out; Sami followed him and told him she knew that he turned down the job in New York. He didn't answer, so she said it was because he wanted to stay in Salem and help her. He admitted that that might have something to do with it. Sami apologized for not appreciating his help, then asked if he cared. He didn't respond, but kissed her passionately. After, they kissed some more and he said he would go with her to get Grace. They arrived at the convent and Sami was thrilled to hold her baby.

Nicole met with Mia in the alley and demanded to know why the teen blabbed to Tony. Mia explained that she was lonely and had to come back to Salem to see her baby and just made a slip. Nicole quickly reminded the teen that Sydney was Nicole's baby now, not hers. "What you did is going to destroy my life," Nicole told her. Nicole had a plan, which is that Mia would call Tony a liar if he busted Nicole.

Stefano went into Tony's room and found him packing his things. Tony announced he was leaving the family — permanently. A confused Stefano didn't understand why. Tony bitterly pointed out that Stefano had made his choice, and EJ was clearly the heir apparent. Stefano said that wasn't true and that Tony and EJ were equals. Tony walked out; Stefano began to throw his son's luggage and had chest pains. Downstairs, Tony encountered his younger brother and told him of his plans to move away from Salem. EJ noted that Tony would miss the wedding. Tony made a veiled remark about EJ's life changing and cackled, which prompted EJ to ask why Tony was acting so odd. Tony was about to tell him when Stefano came in and said Tony wasn't going anywhere or else he'd cut Tony off financially. Tony pointed out that he had made his own investments and didn't need Stefano's money. He added that he had a new venture which would make him billions — the alternative fuels project. Stefano forbid Tony to have anything to do with that project. EJ warned Tony that he and Stefano would come after Tony with everything they had. Stefano asked him to be reasonable. "We cannot work against each other. We must work together. I love you," the Phoenix said. Tony said it was clear Stefano had no use for him. "Then you are dead to me," Stefano yelled, adding that he was a traitor. Stefano left the room. EJ asked what truth Tony had to tell him. Tony got a call from a Scottish associate and had to take off. EJ implored him to wait and tell him what he had to tell him. Tony smirked that he decided to keep quiet for now. "You really deserve an audience, like father, Nicole," he explained. Tony left for the harbor.

Chloe walked with Lucas on the pier and they basked in the glow of their newlywed bliss. Chloe admitted that she suddenly felt as though Kate didn't think she was good enough for Lucas. "Even when she is sweet to me, it kind of feels fake," Chloe explained. Lucas told her to put it out of her mind, insisting that things were "cool." Chloe had a doctor's appointment at the hospital; Lucas went with her.

Kate tracked Daniel down at the hospital and apologized for accusing him of sleeping with Chloe. She said they wouldn't mention it again. She casually asked what cancer drug he used on her. He told her, then had to take off. A nurse approached Kate and asked how she was feeling. Kate poked around about the dosage she was given during chemo. The nurse told her it was deadly if not used properly.

Kate ran into Chloe and Lucas at the hospital. Kate told them she had her regular checkup and was fine. He told her Chloe had been feeling tired and stressed and was getting checked out. Lucas revealed that Philip had been fired from Titan and that a part of Lucas wanted to punch Victor's lights out. Kate left, as did Lucas. Chloe bumped into Daniel, who congratulated her on her nups.

Nicole called EJ and he asked where she was. She lied that she was shopping. He told her something was up with Tony and that Tony and Anna were moving to New York later that day. He added that Tony had some announcement to make that was supposed to "horrify" EJ. Nicole asked where Tony was; EJ said at the harbor, then warned her to steer clear of Tony since he was acting to strangely. Nicole hung up and hurried off.

Brady asked Victor what happened with Philip. During their chat, Kate barged in and asked Victor how he could hurt Philip like that. She railed at her ex. Brady took her side and warned Victor that Philip is planning to do something and that he believes it will be destructive.

At the pier, Tony called out for Mac, his Scottish contact, but it turned out to be Philip, who actually sent him the text message. Tony told Phil he wasn't changing his mind about the project. A fight ensued; a hidden Nicole watched.
