It is gross but I'm not surprised. After that disgrace of a relationship between Casey and Emily, nothing surprises me on this show anymore. I can only hope Daniel never finds out that his brother and mother were lovers. With Casey/Emily, Lily/Mike and Carly/Holden and now Danni/Craig.... I don't think there's many pairs left in Oakdale who haven't gone to bed with each other. Well, straight pairs that is. If it's one thing ATWT has taught us this past year, it's that ONLY straight people have sex. Not gay people. Charmed1nHHI, Danni having sex before Luke and Noah doesn't make me as angry as much as Parker having sex before Luke and Noah. 15 year old Parker can have sex with his cousin (who he knew for less than 3 months) but 19/20 year old Luke can't have sex with his boyfriend of over a year. Funny how things works out. Actually, it's not funny at all.

Craig and Dani having sex is gross and unacceptable all on its own, without bringing the perpetual issue of Luke and Noah's chastity into it.

Mala - thanks for your response. I think it's difficult for a lot of us not to bring up Luke and Noah in a discussion like this because the double standard is just so glaring. Liberty and Parker (cousins!) can have sex, Dani and Craig (whom she used to call 'Dad'!) can have sex, but Luke and Noah are too controversial??? I will respect your wishes to keep my Luke and Noah opinions in the appropriate threads, but as far as the Nuke fans are concerned, this show really does love to rub it in their faces (intentionally or not).

I was going to start a post on how gross I thought this relationship between craig and dani was but I said forget it. I have made many post on the CBS soaps about how gross the relationships between sons and daughters with their "Rent's" ex's are, and they just kkeep doing it. Alll I can do is not get behind these relationships when they pop up (more often now then not). I know sops are suposed to be over the top & I know that they are having budget probs but gross is not over the top and the next best thing to incest (I used to shag your mom or dad or aunt or uncle, and now I'm shagging their son or daughter) is gross!! Would it be so hard to get some new blood on the show. Why not combine a starving actor or two who are looking for a break and willing to work on the cheap, with one or two of the kids that older established chracteres have??

I seriously doubt Jean Passanante and Chris Goutman were sitting around thinking, "Hey, let's have Craig and Dani have sex, because that will really make the Noah and Luke fans mad." I think some Nuke fans think that. Not all of them. But I might've misunderstood that part of your post, Mala. I don't think Passanante and Goutman are the two villains coming up with ways to piss off Nuke fans.

I just don't understand why they're waiting so long to let them have sex. I do get frustrated when a couple who has been together for a couple of weeks are already sleeping together, while Luke and Noah are waiting and waiting and waiting for it to be "special". Maybe it's because I look at it from a Dutch point of view, but I don't get what the big deal is about showing Luke and Noah in a love scene (nothing hardcore like some of the other couples have, just something romantic). It's not going to be the end of the world and by avoiding sex over and over again TBTB are creating this big pink elephant in the room.

In my opinion, The whole Luke and Noah thing is a big taboo still, while it's easier for the mainstream americans can tolerate two teenage kids having sex or a once stepdad(?) and grown child having sex. And I believe most people can even tolerate two women in a romantic position than two males. It's not right, but that's just because how it is. We NUKE fans have been crying out for months for a love scene, but we keep getting Dani, and Craig, Dusty and Josie, Jack and Janet. The only who is getting less sex than NUKE is Carly. Or OK maybe Miss Nancy. Until gay male couple are viewed in light as just one of "regular" couples, don't get your hopes up. I think the TPTB and ATWT should read these comments from time to time. Maybe then they can see what ppl want to see. Or how we all feel.THAT or we all can go on strike and NOT watch ATWT for a month or two. And let the ratings really drop. Just an idea of course.

To me, the storyline they're telling would have worked just as well without making Craig and Dani lovers...all they had to do was have Dani feel obligated to help Craig, based on her lifelong "father figure" type feelings for him, she could have struggled with helping him vs. doing what she knew was wrong instead. That way, they could have told the same story without doing this to the daughter of a much beloved couple, and given some depth to Dani's character by watching her struggle. Oh well.

I had the same thought, LC. Her being in cahoots with Craig would have worked just as well without the sexual angle.
