I just posted this under "General Discussion - the Emmys" but want to post it here too.

CONGRATS to Darin and Tamara on their wins.

I'm NOT happy that Peter didn't win though!

I'm happy that at least two people actually won for DAYS finally! After years of (granted, sometimes it was actually DESERVED) Days being TOTALLY ignored!

They even (gasp) ACTUALLY got nominations this year & deserved them and should have won ALL of their nominations IMHO

The writing's become SO much better recently on Days despite the fact they've fired MOST of my favorite actors/actresses & gotten rid of most of my fave characters in lieu of all the younger ones (boo)

VERY glad for Darin. He deserved it. Tamara? Not so much. HATED her character & was happy when they let her AND her character go. She wasn't on there that long & others on there deserved nom (and win) more IMHO. But I'm happy for her. She's an excellent actress.

Peter Reckell should have WON!
He's been snubbed for years & certainly deserves a win. So does Joseph Mascolo for Stefano.

Glad I didn't watch the thing. Was upset that major networks snubbed it and didn't care enough to go find it on CW. Can't believe one of the major 3 wouldn't carry it b/c it was always the classiest & best awards show on tv period I thought.

Instead I watched football on NBC with hubby. Doesn't sound like I missed much from all I've heard/read. Heard it was horrible. AND boring.

In past years, I've always thought daytime folks were the best dressed, best behaved bunch of folks on ANY of the award shows including the nightime Emmys and Oscars! ALL of the daytime folks are GORGEOUS of course AND the ladies are always dressed in THE most beautiful (and yet classy) gowns & the guys look so great. ALL of them are classy & you never had to worry about all the cussing & nasty words & remarks out of any of THEM on the red carpet or during the show.

I've heard SO many people I know say the same thing as well as having read and heard the same thing on/in national media

It's a shame that the 3 major networks have shunned THE best AWARDS show period & it's ended up on an obscure cable channel but at least THEY picked it up so good for them even if I didn't watch it

I hope enough people did that at least they will pick it up again next year IF the three major networks are STUPID enough AGAIN to shun the great daytime stars & the show

I'd FAR rather watch the Daytime STARS (who have far more talent & work a LOT harder with all the pages of scripts they have EVERY DAY to learn etc)& THEIR Emmy show than the nightime one(s).

I'm disappointed that Days was beaten & especially Peter Reckell!

BUT I'm just thrilled they were nominated at all this year & that two of their stars won! Yea! They DESERVE (the show AND it's stars) to be nominated rather than snubbed & I'm happy for the wins at least even if VERY ticked about Peter losing
