I really don't know why AMC has made such bad casting choices. Watching the nuColby is horrible! ABC is owned by Disney...can't they cast some of those Disney Channel kids instead of finding some of these people that simply cannot act.

If Brock seems like an Academy Award winning actor next to you, you know you might not be a great actor. I think the learning curve is about over. She's got to go!

There are so many bad casting decisions that AMC has made over the past couple of years. I say, not only cut Colby.....but Scott, Marissa, Annie, Fake Liza, Damon, Brot & I'm still not feeling this new Bianca. Whoever is charge of the casting decisions, needs to be fired!!There are so many talented actors out there....hell, pull from the GL & ATWT pools and bring in some stronger talent.

I don't know what happened in their casting department, maybe interns are picking the talent. All I know is that AMC used to have such vastly talented people in their cast. Their cast used to be comprised of nothing but talented folks from the theater and other New York actors. High caliber actors such as Ruth Warrick, Eileen Herlie, James Mitchell, David Canary, Fran Heflin, and so many others. They were hired for talent and not for how good their hair looked. Yes there were some not so talented folks too but where they should have stood out like sore thumbs somehow they were overlooked unless they were Randi bad and were made better by the big talents on board. Unfortunately, now with so few experienced talented folks to learn from, they all stand out like sore thumbs and no one to learn from. Or as in the case of Liza they are just horribly miscast.

I think Marissa could be a decent character with a different actress and some sassy writing. (Maybe an Adrienne Franz type)

I kinda like the actor that plays the Asher Pike guy. What is bad is that his acting is better than the actors he is playing with Colby and Damon.Just a word to casting...when casting a "sexy, younger actor" maybe you should make sure he's fit for those shirtless scenes. He's oddly misshapen nipples threw me. The poor actress that plays Colby makes the Passions cast look like Academy Awards winners. She is not improving. And sadly, considering she's in 3-4 episodes a week...she should be!

Throw Asher on OLTL and he can be the 4th Ford brother.

I kinda like Ash...he has some charm to him... Sadly, like Tad's son should have, but we know the casting on AMC is bad.

They should recast her with Lindsay Hartley since she is being killed off of Days of Our Lives. She would work wonders with Marissa with those big ol expressive eyes.

Lindsay would be awesome....give her some spunk and interest. Heck, they could recast Scott with Eric Mortsolf and really make it interesting.

If we are recasting Scott on AMC, can we nab John Driscoll from GL and Y&R?? Didn't they just kill off his character?? He is soooo nice to look at.

How about instead of recasting characters no one cares about, we try to get Thorsten Kaye, and Vincent Irizarry to come back ,characters that are beloved and are adults and can act.Seems to me the show is in deep do do with the cast. If you look at the ratings, Ryan, Greenlee, JR, and Annie and the rest of the Romper Room cast have sunk the ratings. None of these characters have any substance. Bring these lesser characters along more slowly instead of throwing them in our faces without developing them or giving us any closure to their storylines. If they commit crimes, make them do the time. Scott, Annie, Marissa, Asher, Damon and Colby may be the next AMC generation, but we're not done with the present generation yet. These characters need to be backburnered. Then give storylines to Tad, Erica, Jack, Zach and Kendall and David, Jesse and Angie. Get rid of Randi, and give Frankie to Madison and Natalia to Bianca. I don't want recasts with newbies for charcacters I don't like, just get rid of them.

Unfortunately in AMC's defense if TK wants to live on the east coast with his family, well, that's not something they can control. Ultimately ABC could let his wife go from OLTL and then they would have more of a reason to move. (Didn't they do something like that to Genie Francis when they wanted her to return to the role of Laura?)I am not really going to miss David. He is not a leading man and that's part of the problem. Less is more with David and they have over exposed him for years. (Like Ryan, like Greenlee)

David USED to be leading man. He was the bomb with Anna, Erica, and Dixie. They just started writing him as to much of a character. He had become too extreme for a love interest. He should have started showing a much more vulnerable side with his love interests. Instead, he treated his women like he treated his enemies. It was sad to watch how he abused Krystle (the mother of his child), Amanda (a woman he did not love but who he thought was the mother of his child), and Greenlee (a woman he did claim to love). It was simply awful. If they do bring him back, he needs to be more multi faceted. In the end he bored me. I may be in the minority, but I am all for recasting Scott and Marissa. If recast and written right, they could bring much more to the canvas than they do right now. I have already written about who I want to see in the roles. What does everyone else think.

(Didn't they do something like that to Genie Francis when they wanted her to return to the role of Laura?)) I certainly can't fault ABC if TK does not want to move permanently or commute each week. However it has been stated by any number of people/sources that he is willing to work out of LA for periods of time. I fault ABC for not coming up with a plan that could work to everyone's benefit. Hell they just gave SL three months off..and she only works certain weeks a month. Be creative - do what you need to get TK on the show and make him feel you appreciate his worth. So to speak..put your money where your mouth is.I certainly DON'T think that any firing of Susan Haskell would make TK any more willing to move. Hey let's give ABC what they want - at the expense of my wife's job..yeah, not really TK's style. IMO.

SOD and SOW are quoting ABC execs as saying they want TK back on the show, but they haven't reached a deal with him so far. Well, if they really, honestly and truly want TK on the show, they'll make it happen. As a friend of mine said about another ABC daytime drama, when it gets to be crunch time, ABC usually makes it work if they truly want the actor back. TK has expressed a desire to return, but will not relocate to California. Once you have two willing parties, the rest should happen. Thinking outside the box happens all the time in business. If it doesn't here, it's a waste, and it will cost everyone. AMC cannot exist for long if it's lead actors are newbies to the show and the Rylee Story is front and center 4-5 days a week. It's everything that the fans, who value history and who like some characters and couples far more than others, do not want. I know that all soaps are floundering, but I see some shows making the effort and I'm jealous and wonder why AMC can't do that. Why can't AMC get back the fan favorites? Why does AMC focus on couples that few want to see? How is this making an effort to save the show and keep it around for years to come? I have no illusions that TK's return will save AMC, but it will get me back to watching fulltime. It will show me that AMC is trying to prolong the show's life and prove that there is commitment to its longevity. And it will energize a show that keeps losing veteran actors who are fan faves (DC, VI and TK). Imagine how morale (both on the set and with fans) will go up if ABC can announce that TK will return on a more frequent basis! There's so much to be gained if only ABC will go the extra mile here and TK decides to travel to L.A. every now and again.
