Monday
Rick continued to torture Ridge, rubbing Steffy's love in his face while
Ridge's laptop recorded everything. "She'd do anything for me!" Ridge
laughed maniacally. Then he admitted that his relationship with her isn't
about love, but revenge for all the years Ridge has caused pain for him and
his mom, adding that at his wedding, "I'll be looking at you and the pain
etched in your face as you say good-bye to your daughter." He vowed to throw
his marriage to Steffy in Ridge's face for the rest of his life. Rick was
annoyed and angry by Ridge's calm demeanor so
he demanded that Ridge hit him and proceeded to call him a chicken (complete
with clucking and a chicken dance) when he refused. After Rick left, he
wondered why Ridge would take his abuse. Meanwhile, back in the room, Ridge
played the recording for Taylor. "It's the only way Steffy will see who he
really is," she pointed out. They decided to find Steffy and tell all. Rick,
however, came back and was horrified when he overheard his own voice being
played from the other side of the door. He rushed off.
At Jackie M, everyone celebrated with champagne after the show. Owen texted
Jackie with a proposition to celebrate back at her place later. She looked
at him and grinned from ear to ear. Jack approached Stephanie and wondered
where his mom ran off to. Well, Ms. M went back home and indulged in a
steamy bubble bath and massage with Owen. They shared some sexy talk and
fell into a passionate buss.
At her bridal shower, Steffy groused to Brooke about her family not being
able to accept her relationship with Rick. She explained that they're having
the ceremony at Point Dume (per Rick's suggestion!) and added that he's
trying his best to stop the drama and backstabbing among their warring
families. Katie and Donna chatted about Stephanie. Donna pointed out that
Eric won't go down in flames because of La Forrester. Steffy stepped outside
to chat with Marcus, who'd stopped by to say that he hopes Rick loves her as
much as he does. Later, a panicked Rick barged in on the party and told
Steffy that he's whisking her away right now for a last-minute romantic
getaway. Everyone was confused. Meanwhile, Ridge and Taylor raced to tell
Steffy the truth about Rick. Having beat them there, Rick rushed Steffy who
was taking her sweet time saying good-bye to her guests.
Steffy grabbed her things and Rick hurried her out the door. They got into
the car. Rick said they just need to go away, and even suggested eloping.
Meanwhile, Taylor and Ridge freaked when they discovered that Rick grabbed
Steffy from the party and split without saying where they were going. "He'll
do something!" Taylor exclaimed. "This has to end tonight!"
Tuesday
Steffy was concerned about running out on her bridal shower and by Rick's
erratic driving. Rick called the caretaker at the Big Bear cabin and
instructed him to get the place ready. Steffy wanted to know why all this
fuss just to go up to there. Taylor called and asked where her daughter is
and Steffy said they were on their way to Big Bear. Rick tore the phone out
of Steffy's hands and disconnected the call. Steffy demanded to know what
prompted Rick's action and he lied that he didn't want her parents to ruin
their time together. Steffy insisted that Mom and Dad wouldn't be a problem
but Rick decided not to go to Big Bear after all. He suggested they vacation
in Baja California but she pointed out that she didn't have her passport. He
then decided that they go to Hawaii and he headed to the Forrester company
jet.
Nick praised Bridget for her triumph at Jackie M. Nick mentioned that his
mother was on his back about marrying Katie. Meanwhile, Jackie made out with
Owen as she luxuriated in her tub. She made him turn around while she
emerged and put on a robe. She was conflicted about allowing Owen to stay
but he undid her robe and they kissed passionately. She warned that what was
about to happen between them would only be for one night. After they had
sex, Jackie marveled at his prowess. He wanted to go out and get something
to eat but she worried that she would look like his mother.
Ridge and Taylor were speeding to Big Bear when he got a call from Madison
at Forrester Creations that Rick was on the company jet. Ridge called the
jet's pilot and ordered him not to leave. He relayed that directive to Rick,
who insisted that the jet still proceed as planned and the pilot reluctantly
agreed. As they were about to take off, Ridge drove his car onto the runway
and forced the jet to stop. However, Rick entered the cockpit and ordered
the pilot to leave anyway. As the jet moved away to another airstrip, Ridge
jumped out of the car and ran in front of the oncoming aircraft.
Wednesday
Ridge ran out in front of the jet and forced it to stop. Steffy asked what
was going on and Rick begged her to always believe in him. Ridge and
Taylor boarded the plane over Steffy’s objections. Ridge
ordered his daughter to leave with Taylor while he had a talk with Rick.
Steffy reluctantly obeyed. After the ladies were gone, Rick sneered at
Ridge for butting in. "Your days of manipulating my daughter are done,"
Ridge growled, but Rick taunted that he and Steffy were just getting started.
He insisted that she won't care about the things he said on the tape. Rick
warned that Ridge's marriage is over once Brooke finds out that he set up
her son.
As Jackie and Owen were leaving her place for dinner, they encountered
Bridget at the door. She assumed they were working late on business matters. Bridget presented Jackie with a gift for
giving her a job at Jackie M and the women agreed they will always be
friends. As Bridget started to leave, she asked Owen if he wanted to get a
bite to eat. He said he was still working but Jackie pushed him to accept
Bridget's invitation. Perplexed, Owen left with Bridget. Jackie
said to herself that Owen could be just the ticket to make Nick jealous and
bring him back to Bridget.
When Taylor and Steffy got home, Taylor played back the recording of Rick.
At first, Steffy was in denial about what Rick was saying but her confidence
waned as his ugly diatribe continued. Steffy didn't want to hear anymore
and began to leave but she stopped cold when she heard Rick admit that his
relationship with Steffy was about revenge. Steffy sank down on the sofa as
her mother insisted that Rick is not a good person. Steffy called Rick and
asked to see him right away. When Ridge and Rick showed up, Steffy asked to
speak to Rick alone. After her parents left the room, Steffy expressed her
disappointment and anger over the recording. Rick claimed that her dad
goaded him into saying those things and that he would never do anything to
hurt her. "Please believe," he pleaded.
Thursday
Ridge and Taylor stressed over how Steffy's confrontation with Rick was
going. Taylor worried that Rick will be able to talk his way out of the
horrible things that Ridge had recorded. Ridge said they would just have to
believe that Steffy will do the right thing and dump "that jerk." Taylor
expressed her gratitude for Ridge going to such great lengths to protect
their daughter and he hugged his ex. Ridge predicted that Rick won't give up
too easily.
While looking for Ridge at Forrester Creations, Brooke ran into Donna and
Katie. They explained to Brooke how Ridge and Taylor came by the bridal
shower, desperately searching for Steffy. Donna observed that Brooke was
worked up and asked if there was a problem. Brooke confessed that there was
actually a time when Ridge didn't want to have sex. Donna said Eric is like
that sometimes and she just gives him a special pill.
"Your parents set me up," Rick defended. "Please don't let anything stand in
our way." Rick went on to claim that Ridge tricked him into saying the
terrible things he did. Steffy played back the recording which
definitely didn't put Rick in a good light. "That's just plain cruel,"
Steffy declared, then demanded to know what her dad did that could possibly
invoke such disrespect and arrogance from Rick. He finally admitted that he
said some things that he shouldn't have. "You have no respect for me!"
Steffy blasted, then unleashed her fury on him. "You're not half the man my
father is," she raged. "I definitely do NOT want to marry you." She told
him to solve his issues and ordered him to leave but Rick insisted that he
wasn't going anywhere. Rick confessed that his words were "sick" and that he
was consumed with hatred of himself. He argued that her love would
make him a decent man. "Give me one more chance," he
begged.
Friday
Steffy challenged Rick to end his vendetta against her dad, which she knew
he couldn't do. "You're being unreasonable!" Rick yelled, which brought
Ridge and Taylor downstairs. "It's over, Rick!" Steffy insisted but he
sneered at Ridge for getting his daughter back under his thumb. Steffy
screamed for her dad to get Rick out of the house but he finally walked out
on his own volition. After he left, Steffy hugged her dad then asked her
parents, "How could I be so wrong?" She worried that Rick will try to break
up Ridge and Brooke but he insisted, "I'll be fine." Steffy beat herself up
for causing her mom and dad so much trouble and apologized profusely. "I'm
just glad to have you back," Ridge smiled.
Brooke assured Katie that her marriage is fine despite Taylor's
interference. Rick showed up and Brooke reminded that they have much to plan
for his upcoming nups. "The wedding is off," he fumed. Katie quickly excused
herself and left. Brooke asked what happened and Rick explained how Ridge
resorted to "lame" and "pathetic" methods to break up his relationship with
Steffy. Rick claimed that Ridge provoked him into saying some not-so-nice
things. Mom was shocked to hear that Ridge deliberately recorded Rick then
used it against him with Steffy. Rick then blabbed how Taylor has been
working with Ridge to bring Rick down, which peeved Brooke. "I allowed
myself to fall right into Ridge and Taylor's trap," Rick seethed but Brooke
didn't think it was over. She told her son to stay put and that she'd be
right back.
After Steffy went upstairs with Taylor, Brooke barged in and confronted
Ridge with what he did to Rick. Ridge freely confessed to what he did but
made no apologies about it. Taylor returned downstairs and referred to Rick
as "sick" and "spiteful." Brooke blasted Taylor for her actions but Taylor
berated Brooke for continuing to defend her emotionally-unbalanced son.
Taylor then asked Ridge how he could be with a woman who is the mother of
the person responsible for their daughter's death. "She's more loyal to her
grown son than she is to you," Taylor pointed out. "It's only going to get
worse." Taylor advised Ridge that she belonged with her.
