To further on this quote Victor needs to take some responsibility for this fieasco too after all he wouldn't support Nikki on her bid for the Senate. He basically told her she wasn't good enough, through all his support to Jack and left her swinging in the wind.And of course Nikki being Nikki and being needy as she always is fell for the first kind word said to her and that was none other than David Chow.So lets take a reality check here and makes sure the blame goes equally amongst those involved. ie: Victor, Nikki and then good old smilin Jack who brought David to town.
