I agree with you about the soaps getting to be so stupid. But I don't know who you are talking about when you say Taylor sleeping with Rick's Grandpa. Who was he? Rick's Dad is Eric. I'm lost......

So was I asleep? What the heck is Nick doing proposing to Bridget, again? He is clearly conflicted about Katie. And what in the world is everyone else who knows how Katie and Nick feel about each other so dang jolly about this wedding? B&B is doomed to keep repeating the same tired stories over and over!!

Oddly enough, aside from the Katie part, I actually really enjoy the show right now. Marcus/Steffy are cute, Owen is an intriguing spoiler for the status quo, and Bridget and Brooke have finally buried the hatchet over the whole Nick debacle. (Probably just so she and Katie can fight over the hatchet and see whose back it goes into...)

I guess B+B now stands for the Brooke & Bridget show...Everyone has either married or been w/everyone else, or they're the parent, sibling, etc of another character. I'd love to see Felicia w/a new guy, find Thorne a Mrs.Clever type, some new blood that Stephanie can wreck havoc on. They don't have to be long term cast members, call Manpower & hire a few day workers, just something different. I was excited when they brought Marcus & Owen in, but instead of giving them new trails to blaze they've lumped them into the In Bred Jed stuff that became totally unreal when Rick hooked up w/Taylor, who'd only been divorced a couple weeks from Nick. Now he's the "Father" to his baby brother & Step-Dad to his ex-girlfriend. Need a score sheet to keep up with this constant merry-go-round.

I know this is a total unpopular opinion, but B&B is probably the favorite show in the WEEKLY offices right now. We can't help ourselves. We love it; it's our watercooler show. We're always hanging out in the hallway discussing the latest crazy shenanigans. I think the fact that it IS so over the top works in its favor in some ways. We're always tuning in to see how much farther they can push it.

Nick with Brooke, Nick with Bridget, Nick with Katie...and so on. Ridge and Brooke together for the 100th time. He had a chance to move on and he blew that. How many times can one take another back with out it getting old. They really need new blood and have them not related to each other. You really do need to keep a score card to make sure that the people sleeping together aren't related. They need new plot lines end of story.

Oh, I absolutely agree that it needs some fresh blood and the Nick/Logan of the Week thing needs to stop. But the show has great scripts and a talented cast and it's still got the basics right. Plus, it had a bear. I am ALL about the bear.

Alrighty, I've figured out what really needs to be done to salvage B+B,. get the writers out of what ever basement they're holed up in, load'em all up on a bus, drive to the nearest Mental Health Clinic & attempt some serious group therapy. Talk about employee's resting on their laurels. I swear they put every characters name in a hat, pull 2 out & bingo that's the next "super couple". I love Susan F., no matter how nutty the storyline she is always G-R-E-A-T. That I think is the reason I continue to check in on B+B, keep waiting for her to pull off another biggie, like bringing Felicia back from the dead. No matter how far-fetched a storyline, that lady puts dynamite in each scene she's in.As for Taylor, Brooke, Bridget, Donna, Katie, etc., send them all to a spa somewhere, sans any men for some serious bonding time, bring'em back & let them kick these guys out & show what strong women they can be & how they don't require a man to be worth anything. Thinking the problem with both these wonderful creations of the late William Bell, is that any of us would even have to ask for these incredible actress's to be showcased. That's like flying coach when 1st class is available. When Stephanie dealt headon with her Mother & Sister Pam over her childhood, it was so powerful & believeable & Susan F. by her portrayal of Stephanie made people who've wanted to bash her on the head for years understand this character's drive & why her family has always been her top priority. That storyline & her portrayal, in my humble opinion, raised the bar on what was considered quality acting in soaps. Nothing better than Stephanie or Katherine Chancellor when they're on one of their "missions". Always a tour de force & well worth tuning in.

It really is a shame to have Stephanie plot and pine away for Eric. It is played and so done with just like most of the plots on the show. But I love the Katherine and Stephanie link if they could bring Ashley over for a while they can make this happen.

Adding Ashley to a possible mix of Step/Kath. is great since she can move equally well between the 2 shows. I also think Felicia would be someone great for Ashley to play off. Strong women, would bring just the right amount of tension, be great chasing the same guy, sort of a younger version of what Stephanie/Kathrine matchup could be, all are such quality actress's that can take any thing written & make it zing. I simply don't understand taking Emmy award winning actress's of this caliber & delegating them to the "woe is me" storylines. It goes against everything unique they've created in the characters they play.

Okay everybody it is obvious we all agree that a Katherine and Stephanie hookup would be absolute magic for both shows. So what are the writers waiting for. Oh and I just thought of something, if Stephanie came to G. C. and saw Amber there the fireworks would really start flying.Hey Y & R and B & B time for the big guns to cross over and let the games begin I don't think you would regret it I think the rating would sore beyond belief and you might even recapture some of the die hards that are starting to fade away from the show, I mean the fans and watchers of course.
