Monday

Brooke and Stephanie continued to clash over Donna. Brooke insisted that Eric needed to know all the facts but Stephanie called his relationship with Donna a "lame ass marriage." Ridge's call interrupted the women's argument and he asked Brooke to come home right away. Before leaving, Brooke advised Stephanie to let Eric make his own decision.

"I will never give up on us," Donna vowed to Eric. "You just have to have faith in our love." Eric asked why his wife couldn't wait until he came out of his coma and Donna explained how lonely and vulnerable she became while he was sick. She also shared that Ridge tried to take over the company and wanted Eric removed from the respirator. Eric seemed surprised by this news and Donna described how she became close to Owen when he supported her throughout her ordeals. Though Eric pointed out that he is different and older, Donna insisted that she loves him.

Brooke came home to find her bedroom adorned with lots and lots of lit candles. Ridge appeared and said they that he didn't want anything "to come between us ever again." They both agreed that they wouldn't let what's going on between Stephanie, Eric and Donna get in the way of their own happiness. Brooke then stripped and a revved up Ridge led her to their bed. After they had sex, Ridge wasn't pleased when Brooke dimmed their afterglow by predicting that Eric would forgive Donna and they would reconcile.

Stephanie and Thorne found the empty crate and figured out that Donna must have stowed away in it. They stormed into Eric's room to find Donna and Eric kissing. Thorne pulled her away from his dad. "What are you trying to do? Give him another heartache?" Steph questioned and escorted Donna downstairs. Donna blamed Steph and her kids for keeping her away from Eric. "You don't have anyone to blame but yourself," Steph tersely reminded; Donna countered that Eric still loves her. Donna tried to run back upstairs, but Thorne picked her up and physically pushed her out the front door. Upstairs, Eric could hear Donna scream how much she loves him.

Tuesday

While in bed, Ridge rhapsodized about Brooke becoming his wife. The mood changed when Brooke began to worry about Bridget because she was moving out of Nick's house that day. Since Brooke was taking Hope and R.J. up to the Apple Festival in Big Bear, she asked if Ridge could lend Bridget a hand. Ridge answered that he would be "deliriously happy to."

At the Big Bear cabin, a refreshed Taylor told Rick that she got a wonderful night's sleep because Jack did, too. Rick acknowledged that Taylor had been working hard to make Jack happy, but he wondered if she will be able to bond with the baby because he's Brooke's biological child. "Maybe Jack needs my mother," Rick offered but Taylor bristled at the thought. Rick then revealed
that Brooke and her kids were on their way up for the Apple Festival and Taylor realized that he intentionally arranged for this encounter. Rick proposed that they simply observe how Jack interacts with Brooke and her kids. Taylor's frustration started to boil over as she continued to blame her inability as a mother. Taylor then realized that Rick wanted her to allow Brooke to raise Jack.

As Bridget packed her things, Nick asked her not to leave. "I want to help you heal," he insisted but she insisted that their marriage is over. Bridget revealed that she talked to a lawyer about a quickie divorce and hoped Nick wouldn't stand in the way. He seemed resigned to that fate but he wasn't thrilled when Ridge showed up. "I'm more than happy to help you get out of here," Ridge announced. It wasn't long until the brothers started sniping at each other and Bridget had to mediate. While Bridget went upstairs to make sure she hadn't forgotten anything, Ridge blasted Nick for hurting her. "I'll regret hurting Bridget forever," he admitted and Ridge said he never wanted anything to do with Nick again.

Brooke arrived at the cabin and was surprised to find Rick, Taylor and Jack there. Hope and R.J. were excited to see Jack and started playing with him. Rick explained to his mom that Jack being separated from his biological family "is not working." When Taylor started to cry, Brooke gasped, "My God. Are you considering letting me be a mother to Jack?"

Wednesday

Brooke was shocked when Taylor asked her to be a mother to Jack. "I want him to be happy," she tearfully explained. "He deserves to be happy." Rick comforted Taylor as she broke down. "I tried so hard," she cried. Brooke was sympathetic and praised her rival for her decision. "I'm beyond exhausted... from the whole last year," Taylor said. "He has your DNA." Brooke reminded her that Taylor was the one who carried him for nine months. Taylor replied that she couldn't even get him to sleep — and that Jack responded much better to Brooke. "I'm on a downward spiral and don't want to take him with me," Taylor said. Brooke promised Taylor that she will love the baby and the women embraced.

Bridget enjoyed lunch outdoors at a café and noticed Owen sitting at the opposite table. She walked over to him and dumped her drink on him to get him back for fooling around with Donna and hurting Eric. Owen stated that he loved Donna, but she was devoted to Eric. After, Bridget announced that she was done with men. Owen didn't believe she really meant this and called her
"pretty."

Meanwhile, Ridge told Stephanie that he and Brooke aren't going to let Donna and Eric's problems affect their relationship. He wanted Stephanie and Eric to attend his wedding together. They then discussed the situation with Bridget, Nick and Katie; Steph was angry with Nick for taking advantage of Katie. Stephanie also wondered how baby Jack would affect Ridge and Brooke's life, but he assured her that he and Brooke would be fine.

Thursday

Back in L.A., an excited Brooke told Ridge that she had "a very special day" in Big Bear. They made small talk about Bridget and Nick's busted marriage, which allowed Brooke to segue to Jack's welfare. Brooke started to butter up Ridge by lauding his commitment to family and he assumed she was pregnant which she refuted. She coyly asked him to keep his heart open for anything "good that may come our way," but tabled the subject of Jack when they stripped and made love. After, Ridge proposed that, with all the family drama going on, they should just have a quick, small wedding ceremony. Brooke then explained that Taylor wanted Brooke to be a mother to Jack. Close up on Ridge's shocked expression.

Bridget showed up at Brooke's house and encountered Katie. Tension immediately set in as Bridget snarked that she expected her aunt would already be moved into Nick's place. Katie admitted that she and Nick can't even look at each other right now. "My marriage is over," Bridget pointed out and added that she was going to miss Jack more than Nick. Katie confessed that she wouldn't stop hoping they can be friends again but Bridget was unmoved. She pointed out that she already cleared the way for Katie and Nick. "Shoulders to cry on are in short supply right now," Bridget groused, then left.

Taylor demonstrated for Nick how Jack doesn't respond to her other than crying. "I should be the most important thing to him," she lamented and Nick tried to allay her fears and apprehension. Taylor admitted that she is always comparing herself to Brooke which has led to "devaluing myself." Nick was confused by the topic so Taylor said that it was time for her to step aside for Jack's sake and let Brooke raise him. Jack didn't like the idea of Ridge being involved in Jack's upbringing but Taylor insisted it was best that she let him go. She broke down in tears as Nick held her. She then picked up Jack and tearfully told him that she loves him. After handing him to Nick, Taylor rushed out of the house.

Friday

As a heat wave swept L.A., Taylor returned to her home after giving up Jack
and ran tearfully into Rick's arms. "It was so hard to let go," she sobbed,
but Rick assured that Taylor proved her "unconditional love" for Jack. That
declaration made them feel all sexy and they hit the sheets. After, Taylor was
shocked when she flashed back to happy times with Ridge. "What am I doing?"
she asked herself.

Ridge was incredulous (and a little bit horrified) with Brooke's news that
she was going to become Jack's mom. She explained how Taylor had been having bonding problems with Jack for months and that Brooke should take over
mothering duties. "You didn't agree to this?" Ridge exploded, and Brooke
expressed her love for the tot. Ridge asked if that meant she and Nick would
be raising Jack together, and Brooke pointed out it would be joint custody.
When Jack wasn't with his dad, then he would be with Brooke, and she hoped
that Ridge would help with the child rearing. Ridge predicted that such an
arrangement would be a "complete and total disaster" and informed Brooke to
tell Taylor no. He fretted that accepting Jack would be "inherently
dysfunctional" to their family, but Brooke wouldn't back down. "Jack needs me,
and I have to be there for him," she insisted. Ridge finally capitulated.
"I'm there for you," he muttered. That made them feel all sexy and they started
making out.

A shirtless Nick was surprised when Katie showed up at his place and
revealed Bridget's suggestion that Katie and Nick should move on with their
lives together. The subject suddenly changed to Jack (how did that happen?)
and Nick explained that Taylor gave custody of his son to Brooke. After
Katie processed that development, Nick said that he wanted to "work this out
together." That seemed to be a vague proposal of a relationship with Katie,
which made them feel all sexy. They started smooching. When he removed her
blouse, she became self-conscious of her scar, but then he tenderly kissed
it. Full steam ahead!
