Bold and Beautiful Recaps
B&B Week of September 10, 2007
Monday
Nick wanted to make out with Taylor while she preferred discussing baby
names. The subject then changed to Thorne and Donna's wedding and Taylor was
shocked to hear that Donna was only marrying Thorne to "stick it to
Stephanie." Taylor was shocked that Nick didn't say anything to stop it and
insisted she couldn't let such a debacle happen. "Go save the world," he
declared and Taylor rushed out.
Thorne seemed conflicted as Donna marched down the aisle. "This is the
happiest day of my life," purred the bride when she reached his side. Both
Katie and Stephanie appeared irritated as the preacher commenced with the
ceremony. When the minister asked if anyone objected to the wedding, both
Katie and Steph stayed mum. As Donna recited her vows, Thorne had a
difficult time focusing because Katie's words were ringing in his ears When
it was time for a distracted Thorne to say his vows, Donna became alarmed by
his expression and glanced painfully at Katie. "I can't do this," Thorne
mumbled and stormed off. Donna chased after the groom and cornered him in
the other room, where he angrily announced that he couldn't go through with
their wedding. "Your mother got to you," she assumed, but Thorne said that
wasn't true. Donna demanded to know who changed his mind and that's when
Katie entered the room. "You stabbed me in the back, my own sister," Donna
seethed. "I'm finally happy and you can't stand it." Katie said that Thorne
deserved to know the truth, but Donna accused her sister of conspiring with
Stephanie. "You were using me to get back at my mother," Thorne seethed and
refused to believe Donna's pleas that she really loved him. After she ran
out in tears, Thorne thanked Katie for saving him from making a big mistake
and they embraced.
As the guests cooled their heels, Stephanie hoped and hoped that Thorne had
come to his senses. Taylor arrived and was relieved to hear the ceremony
didn't happen.
A heartbroken Donna returned to the guest house and stripped off her wedding
dress. Stephanie entered and taunted Donna about her scheme falling apart.
"This isn't over," she raged but Stephanie laughed that no one in her family
will ever be taken in by Donna again. Ms. Logan vowed that "somehow, some
way" she would exact her revenge from Stephanie.
Tuesday
A tearful Brooke flashed back to the night of her rape. When Ridge
arrived, he told her that he'd hired a private investigator and urged her to
stay with him until they found the guy who assisted her attacker. Later,
Ridge had a flashback of his own last encounter with Andy. Then he made a
call to the PI and demanded that that he look into e-mail exchanges so he
could track down who exactly tipped Andy off about the house key.
Katie and Stephanie bickered about Donna's nups. Katie was stunned that
Stephanie had asked her over to thank her for saving Thorne from Donna. She
wasn't buying Steph's "gratitude" and surmised that she was only trying to
get her to dish about what Brooke did to put Ridge into such a frenzy. "It's
one big drama after another," Steph added as she continued to rail against
all things Brooke. When Katie suggested that perhaps Ridge's passion for
Brooke would ultimately lead to a relationship with her, Stephanie stormed
off, determined to make certain her son would end up Ashley.
Brooke begged Ridge to find the accomplice and made him promise that he'd
keep quiet about the rape and not even tell Ashley. Their moment was
interrupted by
a phone call from Stephanie who chided Ridge for not showing up to his
brother's wedding. She wanted to know what Brooke had done (this time) to
wrap him around her little finger. Irritated, Ridge hung up on mom. After,
Ridge tried to put the pieces of the puzzle together, pleading with Brooke
to try remember as much as she could. Then a light bulb went off and Ridge
departed to interrogate Pete the bartender, who was reluctant
to give up Andy Johnson's cell phone. Of course, the phone's battery was
dead so he called Brooke with the news and reassured her that it would all
be over soon. Seconds later, Ed had charged up the phone and Ridge
scrolled through the call log to find Johnson's accomplice.
Felicia was surprised to find Katie in the living room and wondered where
her mother had gone. The women caught up and Katie asked Felicia
to help her end the "senseless war" between their families, which first
meant getting Stephanie to back off and leave Ridge and Brooke alone.
Wednesday
Ashley visited Eric at the Forrester mansion. "I would really love to hear
your perspective on the whole Ridge and Brooke thing," Ash urged. Eric
admitted that he and Stephanie didn't see eye-to-eye on that subject and
detected Ashley was insecure about her relationship with Ridge. Eric
explained that he felt Brooke and Ridge were destined to be together, but he
also voiced his concern that something seemed to be "very, very off" with
Brooke — even though she had gotten her children back. Eric then admitted to
Ashley that despite Brooke and Ridge's history, maybe the time had come for
him to move on.
Brooke was surprised when Felicia showed up at Ridge's house looking for
Stephanie. "I was afraid she might lay into you again," Felicia fretted and
then confessed that she felt Ridge would be happier without Brooke, who got
upset by the declaration. Felicia became alarmed when Brooke grew unusually agitated. "What happened to you?" Felicia insisted. Brooke
screamed that she was raped. "I won't tell anyone," promised Felicia
and Brooke revealed that it was the lawyer who was electrocuted to death on
the roof of Caf Russe. She also explained how Ridge was looking for Andy's
accomplice. "This person knew so much about my life," Brooke lamented. "How
am I going to feel secure. How?"
Ridge was frustrated that Andy's cell phone was locked and therefore the
call records were inaccessible. "The guy who set Brooke up is still out
there," Ridge growled to his detective. Andy's secretary Miss Simpson showed
up to retrieve his cell and it was immediately obvious that she didn't like
her boss. The men were able to get Miss Simpson to confess that Andy was an
unscrupulous cad. "I won't say I'm glad he's dead, but I'm relieved that I
don't have to see his face anymore," she groused. Ridge related how Andy
victimized a "good friend of mine" and convinced her to unlock the cell
phone. After Ms. Simpson left, Ridge perused the cell records and was
shocked to find his mother's phone number.
Thursday
Ridge tried to tell the detective that there must be a good reason
Stephanie's number was in Andy's phone. He went to his mother's and started
snooping. He recalled Andy informing him that someone "tipped him off" as to
where Brooke's key is hidden. Eric interrupted and gave Ridge a hard time
about not being there for Thorne's wedding. He followed it up by telling
Ridge he was proud of him for giving Brooke her kids back. Ridge filled Eric
in on Brooke's "date" turning into rape. Eric asked him what Brooke
needs. "She needs to feel safe," he replied, then told Eric that he's
searching for Andy's cruel pal. He informed his father that someone from the
house phone called Andy and suggested it was Stephanie. Ridge rushed to
Brooke.
Brooke vented to Felicia about wanting to know who helped Andy get to her.
She explained why she didn't get the cops involved. Felicia said that
Andy's accomplice must be caught, and Ridge
will not give up searching for the criminal. She tried to convince Brooke to
get the police involved so Ridge doesn't get himself in more trouble. Brooke
agreed to go to the authorities once the guy is found. Bridget arrived and
was surprised to see Felicia. She was happy to hear her mother was able to
talk about what she's been going through with Felicia, who left soon after.
"That was quite civil," a pleasantly surprised Bridget blurted out. The
women talked about Brooke's kids, and Bridget said that being a mother just
might not be in her destiny. They agreed that terrible things happen, but
good things can come out of it. "Anybody would be lucky to have you as their
mom," Bridget said. Brooke told her daughter that she helped her forget her
problems. She told Bridget she couldn't have gotten through this tragedy
without her and Ridge. "I think Ridge is realizing how much I mean to him,"
said Brooke. Bridget worried about her mother being hurt by him when it
comes to Ashley. Ridge arrived, so Bridget took off. Brooke wondered if he
found the accomplice. "Who is it?" she asked. "My mother," he uttered.
Friday
"How can you even think something like that?" a disbelieving Brooke asked
Ridge after he named Stephanie as Andy's accomplice. Ridge filled her in on
what Andy said on the rooftop before he died, and how that's why he's sure
his mother is involved. They both wished it wasn't true, and were surprised
that even Stephanie could do something so cruel. Ridge called his mother and
left a voice mail demanding answers from her. Brooke grabbed the phone and
added that she will never forgive her for putting Andy up to raping her.
Eric searched through his wife's desk for clues linking her to Andy. Bridget
interrupted and asked her dad to check on Brooke. She broke down, and Eric
told her he knows about Brooke's rape. "You think you're safe when you're in
your own home," she wept. Eric told her Ridge is looking for the person who
fed Andy information about Brooke. Bridget tried to figure out who it could
be. Her phone rang, and she excused herself. Eric continued snooping and
found a napkin with Andy's phone number written on it. He held in his
anger about the revelation when Bridget walked back in the room. She thanked
him for his love and support and headed out. Brooke and Ridge arrived at
Stephanie and Eric's home just after Steph fled. Eric noticed an envelope in
the foyer addressed to Brooke, who read it out loud to Ridge and Eric.
Stephanie claimed that she intended for Andy to simply be company for
Brooke, and had no idea about the rape. "In my part of the tragedy that has
happened to you, I am so very sorry," it said. "She's sorry? Sorry? That
isn't good enough," blasted Brooke. She went off on how Steph has treated
her through the years. "I want Stephanie's head served to me on a silver
platter for what she's done to me," she yelled as she tore the letter to
pieces. Brooke screamed that Stephanie was a coward for not being able to
face her, then broke all the frames with her enemy's picture in them. "I am
not going to let her destroy me. I am going to be the woman that I always
was. I am going to get over this anger and this rage and this need for
justice, and when I renew my hope and faith, I am going to be a stronger
person. More powerful than ever before. I am not going to let this beat me.
I'm not! I will be a woman who has survived rape. Proud and strong. I
promise you that. I will be a survivor," she said to Ridge, who put his
fingers to his mouth and kissed them, then placed his fingers on Brooke's
lips.
