Bold and Beautiful Recaps

B&B Week of October 5, 2009

Monday

Eric, Brooke, Ridge and Donna were floored when Bill said he's appointed
Katie as the new CEO of the company and she's already happily accepted.
Brooke railed at Bill for manipulating Katie, who was upset that the
Forrester clan wasn't more happy for her. Eric was angry that Katie was
giving up her good PR gig. Ridge told Bill he's a liar and a cheater and using
Katie to get his paws on the company. Eric agreed and said it won't be long
before Katie realizes his little plan.

Brooke and Donna pulled Katie into Ridge's office to try and talk some sense
into her. She was insulted when they suggested that Bill was playing Katie
and will just drop her when he gets what he wants from the company. "You've
both been loved by great men. Now it's my turn!" Katie explained. Brooke
pointed out that Katie's going to get hurt by aligning herself with Bill and
warned her about failure. Katie called out her sisters for ganging up on her
and said they just don't want to see her stepping out from behind their
shadows for once. She begged them for their support. They refused; Katie shed
a tear.

Later, the accountant informed Eric and Ridge that Forrester Creations is
being forced to pay back a $100 million loan within a year. Bill decided to
use their situation to his advantage. "I'm your only option," he smirked.

Dr. Caron paid Stephanie a house visit and told her to stop hiding her
condition and get some help. Pam was concerned about her sis's strokes and
urged her to take it easy. Steph, however, bristled when Pam suggested she
not return to work. "I am not sick!" she exclaimed. Taylor arrived home from
her conference and was confused about why the doctor's car had been in the
driveway. Steffy urged her grandmother to come clean to Taylor. She refused,
saying it would change the dynamic of their relationship and she doesn't
want Taylor to view her differently. They sat down over tea to catch up but
La Forrester remained mum about her condition. Steffy was miffed.

At Jackie M, Pam offered Whip one of her special lemon bars. He inquired
about Stephanie and pointed out to Pam that Steph's not been acting like
herself lately. She tiptoed around the subject but assured Whip that
Stephanie will be fine. Whip wasn't convinced.

Tuesday

To cut back on company debt, Eric suggested selling the beach house. After
he left to meet with a realtor, Ridge fumed to Brooke and Donna that they should
fire Katie for throwing in with Bill. Brooke and Donna were conflicted about
what they should do about their little sister, while Ridge pointed out that
Katie was just acting as Bill's "puppet." Donna agreed that Katie was being
used.

Katie was anguished about running Forrester but Bill assured that she would
do a fine job. She pointed out that Eric could still pay off his debt but
Bill thought that was highly unlikely. Bill observed the doubt welling up in
Katie about his true intentions toward her and he assured that he didn't
want to disappoint her. He further assured he wasn't "a black knight" that
was coming in to raze the Logan family. A fortified Katie affirmed that she
wanted to be CEO of Forrester Creations but she insisted it
would have to be on her terms. "If you can't live with it, you need to tell
me right now," she challenged. He answered by pulling her down on the
couch with him and declared she is "the best thing that ever happened to
me."

While Stephanie and Taylor were chatting, a worried Steffy came in and urged
her grandmother to get some rest. As Stephanie was getting up, she
accidentally dropped an object and a worried Steffy couldn't hold her tongue
any longer. She blurted to her mom that Steph had a stroke. Taylor gasped
then asked if Stephanie was okay. The dowager insisted she was fine but
Taylor admonished her friend for being secretive about her condition. Steffy
apologized for betraying Grandma's confidence and left the room. Stephanie
explained that everything is under control but Taylor wouldn't let up on her
concern, which Steph only bristled at. "I'd rather be hit by a train than
pitied," she growled. Taylor countered that Stephanie is greatly loved and
respected, but Steph asked her to be a friend not a doctor. Taylor vowed to
stand by Stephanie through this crisis.

Wednesday

In his office, Bill assured a worried Katie that she will do a great job at running Forrester, then pulled her into a kiss. "I believe I can do just about anything when I'm in your arms," she purred. After Katie left, Bill made a phone call to someone and bragged that he had her total faith in him.

Eric announced to Ridge, Brooke and Donna that he is selling the Big Bear cabin but they're still a long way from raising the money needed to make their loan payment. Katie showed up and tried once again to explain that Bill is saving Forrester Creations from bankruptcy. Ridge declared that Katie shouldn't even be working at Forrester anymore since she's now sleeping with the enemy. Brooke and Donna warned their little sister that she's being used by Bill and Katie begged them to trust her. Everyone urged Katie to convince Spencer to leave Forrester Creations alone. After Katie left, Eric revealed that Forrester's sales figures are at an all-time low. Eric was mightily discouraged but Brooke insisted they wouldn't let Bill take over the company.

Whip noticed that Jackie was in an agitated mood and asked where Owen was. She answered that he went out early to get coffee and finally admitted that Steffy has a crush on Owen which caused Jackie great anxiety. Whip gave his boss a pep talk but Jackie couldn't push away her insecurity.

Owen encountered Steffy and her skateboard at Insomnia. She offered to give him skateboarding lessons, which he immediately accepted. Recalling Jackie's warning, Steffy suddenly changed her mind so Owen asked if she is avoiding him. When she tried to change the subject, Owen wanted to know if this had to do with his wife and Steffy admitted that Jackie thinks Ms. Forrester is too involved in his marriage. Despite that, Owen thought he was still a lucky guy to have Jackie in his life. Steffy was touched by his devotion.

Bill took a DVD out of his safe that had his dad's photo on it. "Hello, Father," Bill said and popped the DVD into his laptop. Before he could watch it, a defeated Katie entered and recounted her meeting at Forrester. She then saw the DVD cover of Bill Sr. and asked what it was. Bill Jr. explained it was message his dad recorded before he died.

Thursday

Eric, Brooke and Rick packed up the beach house since it quickly sold. "This is hard," lamented Brooke, then groused with Eric and Rick about Bill using Katie. Still, Eric was somewhat encouraged that the sale of the beach house was a start in repaying their bank loan. They finished packing and left.

Bridget called Owen at Insomnia and asked him to pick up designs that she left on Nick's boat. Owen agreed, then asked Steffy if she wanted to tag along. They headed over to the marina and boarded The Shady Marlin. Owen easily found the sketches but Steffy started up the engine and drove the
boat out to sea. Owen asked why he was being kidnapped and she said he needed a "mental holiday." Owen became concerned about where they were going and she announced their destination is Paradise Cove. She said she hoped Jackie will make him happy but if she ultimately doesn't, "I'm here for you."

Eric returned to Forrester Creations, where he signed the papers to sell the beach house. Rick was curious about the fact that the place was bought by a corporation but the realtor said that happens often when individuals wanted to make a
discreet transaction. Brooke assured they wouldn't let Bill take one more thing away from them.

After warning the Forrester-loving Jarrett to adjust his attitude, Bill brightened up when Katie entered his office. Once Jarrett was gone, Bill smooched with Katie, then announced that he bought her a surprise. He then led a blindfolded Katie to the Forrester beach house, where he told his shocked girlfriend that he bought the place — furnished! Jarrett soon followed with boxes and as he set them down, Bill Sr.'s DVD fell out. Jarrett departed and Katie wanted to know if Bill was just sticking it to Eric by buying the beach house. Bill revealed that he wanted Katie to move in with him. "I don't want to live without you," he proposed and she happily accepted. Yep, they kissed again.

Friday

Katie and Bill kissed on the couch of the Forrester beach house. Brooke came by, interrupting them, and was surprised to hear that Bill had purchased the home. "I was right about Bill. I wish I weren't for your sake," Brooke told her sister. Fearing that Katie would get hurt, Brooke asked her sister to come home, but Katie revealed that she agreed to move in with Bill. "You barely know him," Brooke pointed out. Katie didn't think that Brooke believed a man like Bill could ever fall for someone like her. Brooke replied that she didn't think a man like Bill deserved to be with someone like Katie. Katie was sick of everyone warning her that Bill is using her, and noted that she could do damage control for Forrester. Brooke still didn't trust Bill. Katie insisted that she knows Bill better than any of them. Brooke hoped that her sister knew what she was doing.

Bill asked Jared to go to a jewelry store for him and pick up "something special" from a certain person.... Katie came across a DVD made by Bill Spencer, Sr. and played it. The elder Bill spoke about how he could never win Stephanie from Eric — and requested that his son avenge Stephanie for the way Eric treated her. "Grind that fool into the dirt," Bill, Sr. instructed. "Take Eric's business away from him by any means you can." Katie was horrified. Bill came home and was upset to see her watching the DVD.

On Nick's boat, Owen encouraged Steffy to go for a swim. She tried to drag him into the water with her; as they joked around, she slipped and hit her head, and fell into the ocean. Owen rescued her and performed CPR; she recovered and was grateful to him for saving her life.

Brooke made some calls and tried to get some dirt on Bill's past — but then hung up when she realized that Katie would be upset with her..... Katie and Bill had it out over the DVD. Bill insisted that he wasn't planning to follow his father's instructions. Katie asked if he was using her to target Forrester. "Do you even know what love is?" she asked. "Only when I look at you," he replied. "Am I just a pawn?" she cried. He quieted her by kissing her passionately and asked her to never question his intentions for her. "I would never use you for anything," he assured her. "Tell me you believe me."
