Monday
Steffy and Owen boggled at Jackie's suggestion that they be together. "We've never even been on a date!" Steffy pointed out, adding that Jackie had even told her to stay away from Owen. Owen reiterated that they're just friends and couldn't just run off and have kids at Jackie's say-so. Jackie said she was trying to make a point about the stages in their lives. "That is the reality that we are facing," she insisted. She didn't want Owen to feel as though he's missing something because she doesn't want kids. Owen said
they'd fought too hard to make their marriage work, and wondered if Jackie was saying everyone's right about their age difference. She kept insisting that, no, this was about giving Owen, what he wants. Steffy pointed out that Owen doesn't want anything but Jackie! Owen echoed that. Jackie said Owen would come to resent her and her decision was final: she was letting him go. Owen asked Steffy to leave them alone. Owen explained to Jackie that "all the love in my life comes from you," and he adored her. He urged her not to let him go. "For god's sake, we'll get a dog!" he cried. But he didn't want her to ever again suggest they split up. "I'm yours forever," he assured.
Brooke and Ridge confronted Bill and Katie over the outcome of the press conference. Bill observed that they had expected Katie to be a figurehead while they went about business as usual. Brooke guilted her sis, noting how Ridge had earned a place as CEO. She said her sister had double-crossed them and stolen her husband's job...which was unforgivable. Katie was upset at the accusation! Bill defended her, pointing out that Forrester hadn't had the capital left to launch a new line. They needed him. Bill added
that the Forresters should be thanking him for putting someone they all trust in the top spot instead of a Spencer suit. Suffice it to say, Ridge and Brooke did not say thank you. "This is a new beginning," Bill told them. "Can't we all try and get along?" Not moved, Brooke asked to talk to Katie alone. Katie swore she wants what's best for the company. In the hall, Ridge wondered if Bill wanted to rip apart their family. Bill said he's just trying to make the best of the situation. In the office, Brooke warned Katie about Bill's reputation. "I am not just a means to an end. What we have is
real," cried Katie. Brooke wondered if this was Katie's attempt to turn the tables and put Brooke and Donna in her shadow. Katie assured Brooke she loves and respects her sisters, but she'd betrayed no one and stolen nothing. She begged Brooke to give her a chance and was certain that she could handle her fiancée. Brooke observed it looks like she's the one being handled. But Katie stood firm, asking Brooke to let her be her advocate and her ally. She tearfully promised that no one could come between them.
Tuesday
At Forrester, the press clustered around Bill and Katie, and the first
question out of a reporter's mouth was about their wedding date. "As soon as possible," Bill smiled. Nearby, Taylor asked how Ridge was dealing with it all and then Steffy and Thomas made it the throng of photogs and joined their parents. Donna and Brooke marveled at their sis being the new CEO. Bill and Katie presented a united front to the press. When the reporters all turned to Donna and Brooke for their reaction, they answered tactfully. "We are a family. We are sisters. So we support her all the way," said Brooke. Then, Bill told everyone that he'd scheduled a new Forrester Royalty shoot and had new roles in mind for Katie's sisters. As for Eric and Ridge, he was thrilled to have them on board. Rocco popped in to tell Ridge about the new shoot but he wanted no part of it and Bill's "show." Ridge assured his kids that the company was their legacy and he wouldn't let Bill and Katie take it away from them. Alone, Ridge tried to work on a design and got all frustrated. Brooke joined him after the shoot and Ridge told her he doesn't "have the heart" to work for Bill and her sister. "I feel like I'm dead inside," he sighed.
Later, Bill cordially caught up with Stephen and Beth, his future in-laws. Stephen suggested they have the wedding sooner rather than later, under the circumstances. When the Logan sibs came out in their gowns, Bill moved Katie in between her sisters and crowned her (way to go with the heavy-handed metaphor there!). As the shoot commenced, Justin and Marcus watched Donna and Justin was entranced! He flashed back to Donna being named homecoming queen, complete with huge '80s hair for both of them and a BIG BROTHER shoutout from guest star Jordan Lloyd. Marcus reminded Justin that Forrester was a family company and Justin assured him he's well aware of the importance of family. After the shoot, Bill thanked the sisters for their "professionalism" and also thanked the press. The gals hugged their parents, glad to have them sharing in Katie's big day. Later, Justin reminisced with
Donna (changed into normal clothes) about homecoming and told her he wants to spend time with her and fill in some of the missing pieces. He noted how beautiful she'd looked today and she left, blushing. Bill, meanwhile, brought Katie outside into the fresh air...where there was a new sign on the building: the classic FC logo, with "a division of Spencer Publications" emblazoned beneath!
Wednesday
At Forrester, Katie called a meeting of all the major players. She asked Thorne to resume the position of Vice President. He turned her down, claiming that he was happy where he was — working with the disgruntled employees. Katie's second choice was Donna, who agreed, saying that she would find a way to finesse it with her husband. Next, Katie announced that Rick would be running Forrester International from his home base of Los Angeles. The final order of business was to name a President, with Ridge being the obvious choice. "I cannot be an executive for you, Katie. I'm sorry," Ridge said coolly. He agreed to continue to head up the design team, however. Trying not to get frustrated, Katie mused that Eric was the next logical choice for President, but realized he would never accept the position. She looked to Brooke, whose eyes lit up at the possibility. After clearing it with Ridge, Brooke accepted. After the meeting adjourned, Bill told Katie how proud he was of how well she had handled the situation.
In the Spencer showroom, Justin was furious with an employee who was walking out on the job. He called Bill and announced that he had a solution to the problem. Bill liked what he heard, and ordered Donna to grab a "beautiful Forrester gown" and head over to Spencer. A confused Donna did as she was asked. Katie wanted to know what Bill had up his sleeve. "As your CEO, I demand you tell me!" she joked. Bill refused to divulge his secret, but assured her it would be good for the company.
When Donna arrived at Spencer, she was caught off guard when she was led to the set of the talk show "The Catwalk.” She told Justin how much she loved the show. Justin was glad to hear it, since their host had quit and she would be replacing him! Donna was thrilled with her new assignment, as she had always wanted to be a television host. She tried out the host's chair and was quite comfortable. She excitedly agreed to take the job, and giddily rushed off to her new dressing room.
Over at Jackie M., Pam answered the phone. Justin was calling to request Stephanie as a guest on "The Catwalk.” Pam agreed, and upon hanging up, shared her excitement with her lunch guest, Sergei. The two squealed happily, and Sergei announced that he had a crush on the "delicious" host ... obviously not knowing that he had been replaced with Donna! Pam rushed into Jackie's office to inform Stephanie of her new guest spot. Steph suggested Jackie go instead, but Jackie wouldn't hear of it. Stephanie was reluctant to do anything that would benefit Spencer, but didn't want to disappoint her excited sister. She agreed to do the show, and she and Pam headed over to Spencer.
Bill paid Ridge a visit in his office, and delivered his first assignment. "My fiancée's wedding gown. I want you to design it," he announced. Ridge said he was hoping it would never come to that, because Katie marrying him would be the biggest mistake of her life. Katie and Brooke entered and were disturbed by Bill's latest directive. Katie and Bill left so that Ridge and Brooke could be alone. "He owns us, Brooke. We've lost everything," Ridge said sadly. They embraced. "I feel trapped here, Logan. I just don't know if I can keep going. I should have fought Spencer until my last breath," he lamented. He announced that somehow, some way he would get Forrester Creations back. After he left, Brooke got an idea, and placed a mysterious phone call. While on hold, she whispered, "I'm doing this for you, Ridge ... only for you!" When the person came back on the line, she instructed, "You must do exactly as I say."
Thursday
Ridge apologized to Brooke for walking out earlier and vented about the good and bad times he'd had in his office. She assured him things would change. Bill and Katie tried to pick a wedding date, realizing they were mighty busy people. Then, Brooke interrupted with a file folder, telling Bill she needed his help correcting a mistake. She talked about how much trouble Ridge is having with the adjustment and then offered to liquidate all her assets and give them to Bill in exchange for getting Forrester back. She wanted to give Ridge back his life, his dream! As she explained her reasoning, Ridge eavesdropped from the doorway. "What you're asking is impossible," Bill said. "I can't back out now," he said of the Spencer/Forrester takeover. He was sorry for Ridge's angst, but noted Ridge would have to find another dream. Alone, Bill and Katie talked about Brooke's plea. In his office, Ridge told Brooke he was proud to have her as his wife and thanked her for reminding him what's most important: her love for him. He hugged her, grateful for her gesture.
Donna was all aflutter about being the new host of THE CAT WALK, a fashion talk show. She wanted to be surprised about her first guest and Justin wasn't sure that was a good idea. At Jackie M, Pam was trying to rush Stephanie to THE CAT WALK set because she was the guest. They had no idea of the host switch! When they got there, Justin told them the host, Emerson, had walked out and they realized Donna was the replacement. All parties were horrified! Stephanie and Donna clashed over Eric but Donna said she'd make the interview work and walked away. Of course, when the show kicked off, Donna wasn't exactly making a splash as a host. And when she announced Stephanie as her guest, Steph resolutely refused to go out there...leaving Donna floundering. Pam mouthed from off-stage that Stephanie left and desperate Donna dragged her out in front of the studio audience and sat her down! Pam was so petrified she couldn't speak and Donna continued to struggle.
Friday
Pam was dumbstruck on the set of Donna's new TV show — CAT WALK. Donna showed her something she had gotten in the mail as the producers were pulling out their hair. Donna showed her a photo of Tiny on a 2010 calendar. Pam began saying, "my Tiny, my Tiny." The audience awwed in sympathy. Pam did say that Donna didn't "murder my Tiny intentionally." Pam started talking and verbally attacked Donna for being shameless by going after "my sister's husband." The audience clearly enjoyed the banter between the two women. Pam told everyone that she was the receptionist at Jackie M. The audience applauded enthusiastically and the producer nodded as if they knew they had a hit on their hands. The producer thought the "the two of you do make a very good team."
Pam wanted the camera to take a look at Donna's leopard panties. After the show ended, Pam performed a cat walk dance on the Cat Walk to the delight of everyone.
Jackie managed to make it through a phone interview in French. Jackie hoped Owen would never say he missed his chance to be a father. "I choose you," Owen told his wife sealing it with a kiss.
Nick interrupted and learned that everything was okay with Owen and Jackie and they wouldn't be adding a baby to their lives. Nick told his mom that Bridget had an appointment with her OB/GYN. Nick didn't want to talk about it. "Is Bridget pregnant?" Jackie asked her closed-mouthed son. "Not that I know of," Nick said sadly. Nick reminded his mother that when he and Bridget lost their daughter Nicole it was the hardest thing they had had to go through. Nick was afraid of losing Bridget if there was a difficult pregnancy. Nick was grew introspective about taking risks.
Bridget was fidgeting in the examining room. Her doctor was grateful about the dress Bridget had designed for her. Bridget got a clean bill of health. Bridget told her doctor that she's perfectly happy raising Jack. Bridget wanted to go off the pill and try for another baby.
Nick picked Bridget up at the doctor's office. A very sad Bridget told Nick "we're not going to have the life that we planned to have." Nick wasn't that surprised at that news. Bridget reminded him that she can conceive but "it's what comes after that." Bridget wanted a second opinion. Nick reminded her that she had had many second opinions. "No means no," Nick said. "Isn't Jack enough?" he asked. "Does God owe you a child?" Nick wondered. Nick said he was going to have a vasectomy if she decided to go off the pill because he didn't want to risk losing Bridget. "I want to count my blessings every day," he added as Bridget wiped the tears off her face. Bridget thought about what her husband was saying but didn't want to give up the chance of having her own child.
