B&B Week of October 18, 2010

Monday

Brooke and Dayzee took Stephanie to the hospital so that Steph could have her tumor removed. She demanded that she have surgery immediately and Dr. Lewis promised to do what she could. Stephanie also asked the doc if she could examine Dayzee's friend's baby and credited Dayzee for making her change her mind about treatments. Pam and Taylor joined Stephanie at the hospital. Pam was upset that Stephanie hadn't told her about her cancer, but tried to stay strong for her sister. "You are going to beat this; you have to," she told Stephanie. Stephanie introduced Dayzee to Taylor and Pam and made them all promise not to tell the family that she was going to refuse chemo. She then asked Taylor and Pam to tell the family about her surgery. "I can't lose you, too," Pam said quietly. Stephanie promised that she'd be okay. Dayzee thanked Stephanie for helping out with the baby; Steph vowed to do a lot more once she's recovered. Dayzee asked if Stephanie and Brooke were mother and daughter or best friends; Steph called Brooke her "worst enemy," while Brooke smiled and said that Stephanie really adores her. Dr. Lewis soon informed Stephanie that she'll be getting her surgery that day, but warned that even if it's successful, Steph has a battle ahead of her. Brooke asked Dr. Lewis if the surgery was risky; the doc encouraged her to have faith and promised to do what they could. Brooke assured her that Stephanie would have her support.... Stephanie admitted to Dayzee that she's had a great life and was ready to let go, but is now looking at the world differently. She thought about seeing all of the homeless on the streets of Los Angeles and stated that when she recovers, she's going to make a difference in people's lives.

Ridge, Eric and Thorne got a note to meet at the Forrester mansion and were surprised when Felicia — the author of the summons — arrived. She informed them that Kristen and Tony were doing well in Florida, and that Dominic was with his father. She was eager to see Stephanie and wondered why her mom had ignored her note. Eric also wondered where Steph was. Pam and Taylor later arrived and delivered the bad news about Stephanie's cancer. Everyone was shocked and devastated, especially when Taylor revealed that the cancer had spread to her brain. Thorne asked how much time she had, but Taylor urged them not to think like that. Pam thought that they should be realistic, but Taylor urged them to be strong for Stephanie. They all hurried to the hospital.

Brooke kept Stephanie company as she was prepped for surgery. Stephanie took her hand and was grateful to Brooke for wanting her to live. "I really appreciate your support," she told Brooke. Brooke assured her that she'd beat the surgery and cancer because she had a purpose now. Brooke asked if she could help Stephanie with her new venture and Steph agreed. "I don't want to die," Stephanie admitted. "I want to have some more time." "You will," Brooke answered. "I won't give up," Stephanie stated and they joked about their long history as frenemies. "You're still a slut from the valley," Steph cracked. "Music to my ears," Brooke chuckled, but her eyes filled with tears as Steph was wheeled off to the operating room.

Tuesday

The doctors performed surgery on Stephanie. Meanwhile, Brooke thanked Dayzee for helping to change Stephanie's mind about getting treatment. Pam, Taylor and the Forresters arrived and joined them as they awaited word on Steph's condition. Dayzee watched uncomfortably as the family bonded. Dr. Lewis reported that the tumor and a piece of her lung had been removed — and that Stephanie's state of mind could make all the difference in her recovery. Dr. Rabin then informed them that there are also tumors in her brain and that while her it looks grim, Stephanie does have a chance of recovery. Later, the family went to see a sleeping Stephanie. Eric could barely hold back his tears as he approached her bed. Steph awoke to find her relieved family standing over her. They worried when she had some trouble breathing, but the nurse explained that this was normal since she'd lost some of her lung capacity. Brooke leaned over and tenderly kissed Stephanie's forehead. Dayzee smiled as she watched the scene from the window.

At Jackie M, Aggie massaged Nick's shoulders and they discussed Amber. He wondered if Amber was too provocative a designer. Amber overheard the duo, who then made plans to meet up in the steam room. After, Nick relaxed in the sauna and heard someone enter. Assuming it was Aggie, he asked what took her so long — but it was Amber, wearing nothing but a towel. He wasn't pleased to see her, but she ran her hands over his chest and attempted to come onto him. Nick protested, but Amber urged him to let loose. He literally pushed her away, but she wouldn't give up and wrapped her arms around him and cooed that it was a "business proposition." Nick finally left the steam room. Later, Amber followed Nick into his office and he called her on looking for job security. He added that she'll have security if she comes up with good designs. Amber playfully slapped his butt; he warned her to knock it off. Aggie overheard him telling Amber to back off because he's committed to Aggie. After, Aggie confronted Amber, but Amber pointed out that they're not married. Aggie called her a skank and told her to watch out.

Stephanie asked to see Dayzee, but the young woman was nervous to enter her room with the family there. Brooke encouraged her to do so and introduced the Forresters to Dayzee. They gave her a warm welcome and Dayzee relaxed. Brooke filled them in on how Stephanie had lost her scarf while they were riding the roller coaster and Dayzee had found it. Brooke revealed that the young woman was homeless. "I want to help," Stephanie whispered. "You will save lives," Brooke assured her. "Like she saved mine," Steph answered, smiling at Dayzee.

Wednesday

At home, Brooke admitted to Ridge that she's known about Stephanie's cancer for a while, but Steph had sworn her to secrecy. Ridge understood and was grateful that she'd been on hand to support his mother. Brooke said that he should thank Dayzee for giving Stephanie the strength to get the surgery. "She's a changed woman — and I want to help her," Brooke said. Thomas joined them and asked how Stephanie was. He then showed them his sketches for his own men's line at Forrester Creations. They were impressed, but Ridge wasn't sure it was the right time to launch a new line. He asked if Thomas was trying to show up Steffy, but Thomas denied it. Brooke supported him and believed that the line would do well. Ridge agreed to consider it. Thomas was flattered when Brooke praised him and asked her to work with him. She agreed, but said that it would be weird working with him after having spent so much time designing with Ridge. "You're so much like your father," she told him.

At Jackie M, Nick and Whip looked over Amber's new designs. Whip wasn't sure that bringing Amber on board had been a good idea and wondered how she'd risen in the ranks so quickly. "We both know what Amber is like," Whip noted. "I care about Aggie," Nick insisted. "I won't hurt her." Meanwhile, Aggie warned Amber to stay away from Nick. Amber asked if Nick was even in love with her. "He's my boyfriend and that's all I should have to say about it," Aggie retorted. "Ooh, a challenge," Amber shrugged, unfazed. "You can't mess with me," Aggie answered. They were interrupted when Aggie got a call from Oliver, lamenting how sad he was without Hope. As Amber listened, a smile spread across her face. After, Aggie continued to warn Amber away from Nick, but Amber took it as a dare. Later, Aggie told Nick that she knows about Amber hitting on him. Nick asked her to let it go so they wouldn't have drama in the office. Meanwhile, Amber found Oliver at Insomnia and prepared to strike. As she walked over to him, she faked a fall and Oliver helped her up. He sat her down at his table and she called him a gentleman. He offered to buy her a cup of coffee and put some ice on her ankle.

Thursday

At the hospital, Taylor asked Brooke how Stephanie was after her surgery. Brooke reported that there were no complications. Taylor told Brooke that even if the worst happens, Brooke has done everything she could for Steph. Brooke noted that as soon as Stephanie got her cancer diagnosis, their history didn't matter. "How long do you really think she has?" she asked. Taylor couldn't really answer, but was optimistic that Steph would survive.

Steffy called Stephanie from Paris and said that she's coming home. Stephanie urged her granddaughter to stay put and promised to visit as soon as she was well. Hope and Liam then visited Stephanie and gave her a stuffed teddy bear called Charlie. "You have to get better," Hope urged. Steph promised that she would. Taylor and Brooke joined them and Stephanie filled them in on her conversation with Steffy. She then had some trouble breathing, but got her breath back. She was anxious to recover so she could go out and help others. Dayzee arrived and told Stephanie that the baby was doing well. Hope and Liam introduced themselves. Dayzee went to leave, but Steph asked her to stay and credited the young woman for making her appreciate life again. She asked Dayzee to share her story. Dayzee relayed how she grew up on the streets and her mom was a drug addict who'd died. However, she asked that they not feel bad for her and pointed out that not all homeless people are drug addicts or lazy — and added that she's grateful to the people on the streets who've helped her. Hope asked if she feels trapped; Dayzee replied that she works at the homeless shelter because she wants to and has a GED. She appreciated that Steph wanted to give back, as well. Everyone was very moved by their new friend's tale. Stephanie recalled how she'd briefly been homeless in 1991 when she had amnesia and again stated her desire to make a difference.

Aggie and Nick canoodled in his office. He assured her that Amber isn't a threat in their relationship. However, Aggie didn't believe that Amber would stop until she gets what she wants. Later, Aggie and Nick had sex on his office chair, but somehow got to talking about Oliver while doing so. She hoped her brother would fine the right girl. At Insomnia, Oliver helped Amber with her "injured" ankle. She told him that he's handsome, sexy and sweet and didn't understand why Hope didn't want him. She mentioned him being with Brooke and he regretted messing things up. Still, he was hopeful (no pun intended) that his ex would call. Amber was sure that Hope would and again went on about how great he is. Oliver replied that Amber is "full of energy" and "alive." He wondered why Hope chose Liam over him and Amber reminded him hope young Hope is. "In the meantime, have some fun," she encouraged. "Let loose a little bit." He smiled and told Amber that she's pretty and cool — which, of course, led to a kiss.

Friday

At Forrester Creations, Brooke and Ridge discussed Stephanie and what a long journey she has ahead of her. Ridge was grateful to Brooke for supporting his mother. Thomas interrupted and again asked if he could revamp the men's line. He showed them some more sketches, as well as a new logo. Ridge was impressed. Brooke stated that Thomas has potential. Taylor arrived and they filled her in on Thomas's plan. However, she wasn't pleased with the idea of Thomas working with Brooke. Thomas replied that it was Ridge's call. Ridge said that he needed some time to think about it and to talk it over with Taylor. Later, Ridge asked why Taylor had such a problem with Thomas working with Brooke. She believed that Brooke could corrupt their son. "Brooke is a walking disaster," Taylor spat. "It is my job to protect him from predators."... Thomas was annoyed with his mom, but Brooke noted that Taylor was just looking out for him. Thomas stated that his sister, mother and grandmother don't know the "real" her. Later, Ridge called them and gave them the go-ahead on the line. Taylor was furious and stormed out. Thomas and Brooke were thrilled. Brooke noted that she felt as if she were talking to Ridge from years ago. "You're so much like your father," she praised, placing her hands on his shoulders. Taylor entered their office and reamed out Brooke for touching Thomas.

At Jackie M, Aggie kept nuzzling Nick as he tried to to work. He didn't seem to mind and led her to his desk. As things heated up, Aggie uh, discussed Amber and said that Nick should let her go. Amber overheard from outside and barged in to stop them. Aggie called her rival a skank. Nick assured Amber that she's not getting fired, but said that her designs are missing depth and class, and needed to compete with the Hope For The Future line. Amber promised to get him designs by the next morning. After, Aggie asked if he really thought that Amber would come through for him, and he did. Nick called Amber harmless, but Aggie feared that Amber was going to mess with her. Nick called her paranoid. Later, he left Jackie a message and said that he wanted her input on Amber's designs. Aggie didn't believe that Amber could create designs that would be able to compete with FC.

Hope and Liam hung out at Insomnia. Things became a little awkward when she mentioned Oliver. Oliver then entered and was heartbroken when he spied them together. Amber found Ollie there and sat down with him. He admitted that he was trying to get work done for the Hope For The Future campaign and couldn't concentrate. He began to stuff the sketches into his bag so he could leave, but Amber offered to help him out. She looked over the sketches and asked how he came up with ideas for the show. He lamented how difficult it was to see Hope with her new guy. Amber suggested that he make Hope jealous with another woman — namely her. "Any girl would be lucky to have you," she cooed, kissing him. As she did so, she snatched the sketches and put them into her bag.
