Monday
Taylor refused to answer Brooke's question: "Who do you really want — Rick
or Ridge?" Taylor tried to explain that her relationship with Rick was
different than the one she had had with Ridge. "I'm not pining after Ridge,"
Taylor insisted. "Just stop. I'm not going to let you come between Rick and
me." Brooke didn't think Taylor should be marrying anybody if
"you still have feelings for your ex." Taylor did admit that Ridge had been
the love of her life, then pointed out that Rick was the one man Brooke
couldn't seduce. "Brooke, I just want to be happy with a man who loves me and
only me. Leave. Now," Taylor screamed. "You are still in love with Ridge. We
both know it," Brooke said as she left Taylor's house. Taylor looked
lovingly at a photo of her and Ridge.
Heartbroken, Eric told Stephanie that his marriage to Donna was over. "You
were right," Eric conceded. Stephanie made no secret of
the fact that she'd love to get back together with him, but could be happy
now just knowing that Eric was alive and there for their children.
Donna told Owen that she ended her marriage to Eric. Owen encouraged Donna
to breathe and tried to get her to open up. Donna told Owen that Pam had come
to see her and learned that Pam was responsible for all the horrible things
that had happened to Donna and her loved ones. Donna added that Pam had
threatened to keep hurting them unless Donna broke it off with Eric. Owen
offered to call Marcus, but Donna said she didn't want to be around her
family right now. Owen invited her to stay with him and gave Donna a big hug.
Steffy admitted to Ridge that, yes, she wished her parents were still
together. She added that she felt guilty stirring things up with her mom
right before the Taylor/Rick nuptials. Ridge told his daughter that Taylor
no longer has those feelings for him. Brooke came home and told him all
about her conversation with Taylor. Ridge thought that Rick and Taylor might
actually be right for each other. Brooke spilled the beans. "Rick is just a
Band-Aid on an old wound," she blurted out. Brooke added that Taylor was
still in love with Ridge. Ridge pooh-poohed that idea. Brooke urged Ridge to
talk to Taylor. "Go to her," Brooke begged. "All right,"
Ridge said pulling Brooke in to an embrace. Ridge visited Taylor. "Brooke
told you that I want you back," Taylor said. "I'm glad she did," Ridge said.
Tuesday
Owen tried to reassure a heartbroken Donna that she'd made the right decision, but Donna feared Pam couldn't be trusted to keep her word. "I'm damned if I do, damned if I don't," she bemoaned. Owen asserted, "There might be a way to get your husband back." He encouraged she tell Eric the truth, but she freaked at the idea. "It's better that he ends up with Stephanie than he ends up dead," she said of Eric, wondering how she would let him go. Owen promised to help her and sent her upstairs to his room to rest. (He was staying on the couch.) Donna angstily looked at wedding photos on her phone/PDA and then Owen came up to comfort her...with his lips. Tearful Donna pulled away, refusing to do that to Eric, and curled up, sobbing.
Brooke called Rick over to tell him that Taylor admitted she still loves Ridge. He was totally flabbergasted and blasted his mom for perpetuating such a silly idea. He insisted Brooke needn't worry for him but instead worry for Ridge. Brooke insisted she wasn't trying to make him feel insecure. "Really?" he boggled, noting Taylor and Ridge have been kaput for years. On the flip side, Brooke assured him that "nobody and nothing" would get in the way of her and Ridge's happiness.
At Taylor's, Ridge told Taylor that he, too, had residual feelings. They'd raised three kids together, after all. Taylor outlined her definition of still "caring" for him, saying he was the love of her life and she'd come back for him, but it was all ruined by Brooke. Ridge acknowledged how their lives had changed. Taylor questioned why he and Brooke hadn't gotten it together by now if they were SO meant to be. When she suggested Nick was a factor, Ridge assured her that his brother wasn't an issue. She scoffed at that. Ridge pointed out he didn't see her rushing to the altar either, citing that her wedding was probably Rick's idea. She deflected, saying how much it had hurt her to give him up. Was he happier without her, or had she made a mistake? He called her "Doc" and she sighed that it "sends chills down my spine." Aw! Taylor talked about what she'd imagined for their family, saying she was trying to move on. The exes said that they'd always love each other and hugged emotionally...which Taylor parlayed into a steamy kiss.
Wednesday
At Taylor's, she dreamed of her smooch with Ridge and was woken by shirtless Rick. Her solicitous fiancé showered her with affection. At Brooke's, Ridge, too, was flashing back on the kiss and his solicitous fiancée showered HIM with affection, saying it was times like these she understood why Taylor still loves him. "She didn't deny it all...but I think she's still going to marry Rick," sighed Ridge. Brooke hoped Rick would talk to Taylor about her feelings. The subject then turned to having Jack's birthday at their place instead of Nick's. When they were dressed, Ridge revealed he had to give Stephanie some quarterly reports for Eric, so he'd be late to the bash. He hoped Nick would keep his distance from Brooke. Back at Taylor's, Rick brought up Brooke, saying she loves Ridge. Taylor gingerly admitted her feelings. "We've shared a lot," she said of Ridge, trying to explain it didn't diminish her love for Rick. Elsewhere, Steph wondered why Donna had given Eric the heave-ho, noting she didn't mind since Eric is the love of her life. The phrase triggered Ridge to talk about Taylor. Taylor said she couldn't forget Ridge, just like Rick couldn't forget Amber. Rick tersely changed the subject to Taylor going to Jack's party and their upcoming meeting at the wedding venue and then left for work. Elsewhere, Stephanie told Ridge his happy co-parenting situation with Nick wasn't going to work and asked Ridge if he'd prefer to be with Taylor. Brooke interrupted them with a call, sounding mighty chummy with Nick. Steph noted that life with Taylor would be "less complicated." Later, Stephanie made a beeline to Taylor to talk about her giving Jack up and it "putting Nick and Brooke in close proximity." She pointed out it would be a perfect opportunity for Taylor and Ridge to reunite.
At Nick's, the house was all decked out for a party when Brooke called asking for a change of venue. "The whole house is decorated," Nick told Brooke, saying it was bringing Katie comfort. Brooke and Ridge were a little skeptical but decided to put their best faces forward. Katie, meanwhile, assured Nick everything was copacetic. "This is therapeutic," she promised, saying she loves Jack like a son. Later, Jackie arrived with presents and food, offering her opinions on co-parenting with Brooke and Ridge. Brooke smooched Jack a bunch (who could blame her?) and then Katie whisked the boy away to dress him. Nick asked Brooke if they could put their past behind them. Later, Katie cuddled apple-cheeked, sweater-clad Jack and Brooke eyed her warily. Of course, when Brooke, Nick and Jack got a chance to pose for a "family photo," Ridge walked in! He warned Brooke he was willing to share Jack, but not her.
Thursday
At Jack's birthday party, Ridge insisted that Brooke's only involvement with Nick should be as the mother of his child. He conceded they were still ironing out the details of this complicated relationship. "I will share a child with Nick, but I won't share you," he vowed. Testy Brooke replied, "I'm not a toy you brought to the park." She made it clear that she wants to be able to pose with Jack and his dad from time to time. Ridge said it wasn't about the photo. "I'm just asking you to be a little more aware of me," he insisted. Ridge said there was something in the way Brooke was looking at Nick that worried him. Taylor arrived at the party and overheard them arguing. "Where's Jack?" she asked. Taylor argued she would not have given Jack to them "if there's going to be negativity." Ridge explained that he had a problem with Nick and Brooke's relationship. "Ridge, don't you and Nick have this worked out?" Taylor asked angrily. Ridge took her outside for some fresh air. He didn't know if he would be coming back. Enter Nick. "Everything all right?" he asked. Nick couldn't believe that Ridge got upset over a photo. "What did I do?" Nick asked. "I just have to be a little more careful when I'm around you,"
Brooke admitted. Brooke then reported that Ridge and Taylor had left. Together.
Taylor opened up to Ridge. In retrospect, she thought she should have talked to him before she turned Jack over to Brooke. Ridge admitted he had felt bad that Taylor had gone through such an awful year with no one to talk to.
Taylor said she wished she had had Ridge to help her get through it, but gave kudos to Rick for helping her so much. Ridge said he and Brooke would be marrying soon. "Everything's so complicated," Ridge lamented, hinting that Jack was a slight problem for them. Taylor took the blame for that and apologized. "Do you think you can be a stepfather for this baby?" she asked. If not, Taylor suggested he get out now. "Don't marry Brooke," she advised as Brooke overheard. "How dare you? Mind your own business," Brooke said firmly. "Stay the hell away."
Earlier, Stephanie told Taylor that she was convinced Brooke and Ridge wouldn't last now that Brooke is co-raising baby Jack. Stephanie showed her support for a Taylor-Ridge reunion. Both women hugged and admitted they had missed each other. Stephanie got Taylor to admit she misses being with Ridge. "I will always love Ridge, but the two of us have moved on with other people," Taylor reasoned. She tried to convince Stephanie that Rick made her happy. Taylor's taxi came and she left for the party. Stephanie picked up the phone and called Madison. She wanted to know where Rick was.
Rick met with the events coordinator — Vivian of Il Giordano — where he planned to marry Taylor. However, he seemed preoccupied when she started rattling off appetizers. Rick assured the coordinator (who flirted shamelessly with him) that Taylor was on her way. Stephanie burst in on Rick's lunch. Rick suspected that she was there to break up his impending nuptials. Stephanie explained that she doesn't think Taylor could ever be with another man. Rick didn't buy Stephanie's story. Rick didn't think Ridge was worthy of Taylor. "We're getting married, here, next week. Now please excuse me; I have some cake to sample," he said.
Friday
Brooke was still fuming over Taylor's suggestion that Ridge not remarry Brooke. Ridge was called over to Eric's office, leaving his ex-wives alone. Brooke claimed she had no problems with Ridge, and accused Taylor of giving her Jack with the intention of causing trouble between her and Ridge. Taylor took offense and accused Brooke of still being in love with Nick. "Ridge and I are in love and getting married," Brooke insisted. Taylor thought Brooke was henpecking her man.
Brooke replied it was none of her business. Taylor reminded her that she had given Jack life and would be watching him very closely for the next 18 years. Ridge returned. Brooke insisted that Taylor was on the prowl for Ridge. He told her to chill. Ridge wanted to speak privately to Taylor. Brooke left, but not before giving him a sexy kiss.
Ridge told Taylor she was a terrific mother. Taylor shared how hard it was to give up Jack. Ridge got it, saying she had made the supreme sacrifice for the baby.
"You do understand. I guess that's why you are the love of my life," Taylor said, slightly embarrassed. Taylor thought it would be best for Jack to be raised by Nick and Brooke. "Where does that leave me?" Ridge asked. "Maybe you should be with me. Be with me," Taylor pleaded as she kissed Ridge. Ridge was more confused than ever.
Eric walked around his office on his first day back at work. He looked at a sketch he had done of Donna in her wedding dress. "I will never be over you," he whispered as he remembered Donna and their wedding day. Stephanie, Thorne and Felicia welcomed him back, followed by Ridge. Eric vowed to throw himself back into Forrester Creations completely.
Donna looked out of her window, tears streaming down her face. She remembered Pam's threats. "Stay away from Eric and no one gets hurt," Pam had said. Owen suggested they take a walk on the beach. Donna was afraid Pam was watching and "she'd do something." Donna fretted that Pam would hurt her sisters or go after Eric again. Stephanie came by looking for Donna. Steph wanted to know if the marriage was over or if it was just a game. Donna thought Stephanie would be happy to have Eric back. Stephanie demanded details and was confused. "Stephanie, I loved him," Donna declared and showed her rival the door. "Good luck with Owen. He seems like a nice enough fellow," Stephanie offered. Donna went to get some air alone. Owen called someone. "I need to see you," he said. "It's about Eric and Donna." Later, Owen secretly met Stephanie. He confessed that Pam was blackmailing Donna. He explained that Pam was doing all these things for Stephanie, who looked startled.
Eric called Donna with questions about their divorce. He wanted her to come by the office with her attorney. "I'll be there," she said, hurrying off the phone. Donna got a creepy call from Pam. Donna assured Pam that things were over. Pam told Donna that Stephanie was back in her house. "I'll handle it," Donna said. Pam got off the phone and grabbed her head in pain. Donna told Stephanie to leave. Owen told Donna that he told Stephanie everything that Pam had been doing. Donna was furious.
